can't figure out how with the sound icon in windows 7.
Is there no plain vanilla user guide for the new HP Pavilions? there were none on the HP site for my model.

how it works really depend on tv and reciever
but first thing I would try would be as you say try the optical cable
thats what I do but my hdmi goes directly to the tv
and my appletv is 1g

The privacy settings will be those of the "trial experience" and that has nothing to do with the APIP.

Several sites have videos that start up whenever you visit whether you want to see them or not ...most are ads. Whenever I go to any site that does this my computer gets to a point that my mouse jumps all over the place and it slows to a point of not being able to use it, I have to go to task manager to stop it ....then it starts right back up when I change the page. It is always the plug -in container and if left to run the memory just goes higher and higher. I would like to just turn it off at this point, it makes my pc pretty much useless. It has something to do with the adobe flash player and I have updated it more than once but still no luck. The guesses look about right about os etc.

First off, seeing that you are running WinXP you would be better off using the older Flash 10.3.183.90 version - aka Shockwave Flash 10.3 r183. The Flash 11.0 and later versions of Flash have a "sandbox" that isn't compatible with WinXP and it doesn't provide any better security than 10.3 r183 has. Adobe kept updating the older 10.3 version specifically for WinXP users until a few months before Microsoft ended support for WinXP, so it isn't even a year old yet.
The other thing to do is to set Adobe Flash to '''Ask to Activate''' in the Addons Manager > Plugins tab, so that Flash won't run until you allow it to run.

If you want to stop sending reports to Apple and developers when apps crash, then go to System Preferences, click on Security & Privacy and click on Privacy. You will then see on the left side of the window an section for Diagnostics & Usage with the option to turn off sending crash data to app developers. triple click the home button. Then you can go into accessability options in settings and turn off that feature

I recently received an iphone 3G and would like to turn it in to an ipod touch. I have the original SIM card and have tried plugging it in to itunes. Unfortunately nothing seems to enable the WiFi. I took it to an apple store and the guy looked at for awhile and said, "you could buy a new one." Um, yes, thank you for that. What is wrong? The phone is in excellent condition so I can't imagine it is broken. Help!

I have tried restoring it to the original settings. I have tried putting in the old AT&T sim card and connecting it to itunes (and then restoring it again). I have tried putting it in airplane mode and turning on the wifi. I have tried turning off/on the 3G capabilities. I have tried jailbraking the phone- although not very successfully as it took it off when I updated the iOS. Currently it is fully updated but continues to say no service in the top corner. When I turn the wifi off and then on for a second it will say searching but then switch back to no service. I have wifi in my house so it should be detecting a signal.

Cannot turn sounds off on new version of Scrabble

I downloaded the latest version of Scrabble from ITunes and I find that I cannot turn sounds off.
From within the program when I try to do this I'm told I must exit the game, go to settings and then notifications. When I do so I see that sounds are already set off, yet I still hear them when I go back to the game. I have also tried turning them on, and then off again but this does not work either. Finally, I deleted the app, re-downloaded from ITunes with the same results.
What is worse is that EA has a completely unsatisfactory support policy. Basically, they send me to Apple. I can't even leave an email on their "support" site.
This is a bug. It must be fixed. I paid for this application, it was working until I "upgraded". Can someone tell me how to get a satisfactory resolution to this problem? I play Scrabble on my IPhone a lot. But these sounds make it unusable.

I would like to turn off the CAUT ALM (caution alarm) feature

Does anyone know how to turn off the alarm that beep three times when you turn off the car to remind you to take off the face plate? I don't want to take off the face plate, and the beeping is driving me crazy! The manual say you can turn it off by setting CAUT ALM to OFF, but there is no CAUT ALM option in my settings. Just bought a g30 and would like to turn off the date/time.

Are you asking about turning off the data code (date/time) during playback? If yes, look on page 147 of the manual for instructions on how to turn it off during playback. Link to Canon Vixia HF G30 manual.

Turn Sound OFF in Javascript or HTML

My client would like the Flash banner I'm using to play audio
only on the home page. Can I shut the sound off in javascrpt or
html (in the object tag properties)? Client does not want a sound
toggle button - simply no sound.
I know I can create a second version of the Flash without
sound - but then users would have to load that file in addition to
the first Flash. I've searched without any luck. Any help would be
much appreciated.

Oh OK, if you want a global volume control, you give it an
argument of
'_root' and you can store a reference to it in _global so

Turning sound off on camera shutter?

completely new to Droid here. I have looked every where for something that will turn the shutter sound off of the camera when taking pictures. Anyone have a clue?

I haven't tried it personally, but there is one called Silent Camera. Beware, the reviews are mixed at best. Another one that I found is SilentCam, but this one also has mixed reviews, so no promises on either.

there might be two settings that can help you:
not sure if yours has the double-tap upper left corner to enable/disable, but you can try that. also, maybe has the setting to disable the touchpad if an external device is connected.
