Would partition be gone after restoring HDD into factory setting?

Model: PSU4WH-00700P
I partition C: (450 GB) into C: (100 GB) and D: (350 GB), and would like to know when I restore HDD into factory setting, will D: partition be gone?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, the D partition will be gone.
When you restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media, all the partitions are restored to factory new. That includes even the one with the recovery image.
In case you don't have it, I've attached a copy of the User's Manual.

I do not really understand... Did you made a backup before restore to factory settings? And did you copy all backup files to an external device? If not, the data is gone!
Why? Restoryng to factory does not mean a reinstallation. It means to fill the whole harddisk with an image of the first (factory) installation. All other data will be destroyd! Other partitions are deleted and normally you find only one big partition - the whole hdd.
If you have a complete backup on external drive and it is corrupted during restore, try to open the files manually. Maybe you can restore some single files.

restored it to factory setting
means erasing everything in your iPod, and putting back factory defaults, ie no music.
read this Apple Support Article on Restore
You must have music in your iTunes Library and then press SYNC button in iTunes, which will populate the iPod.

If you dont have any music in your iTunes library or somewhere in your PC, then buy some or import from CDs.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. It is now locked to the original carrier. Sounds like that was Orange. Only the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize the unlock of the phone. You may be able to use it again on Orange, or if they provide unlock services you may be able to get it unlocked, however I have read of many phones that have been hacked to unlock not accepting the factory unlock. Help Please, I sold my iphone 4 to my neighbor after I restored it to factory settings. I just bought a new iphone 5 and decided to check out the icloud "stuff' so that I can use 'find my iphone' because I have 2 kids. I went to check out my icloud on my imac and in the address bar put icloud.com then signed in, double clicked on mail went accounts then clicked on the gear in the right hand corner and there it was. My neighbor had his email in the icloud and there absolutely was no way to delete his info off of my new phone. I guess once the first person enters their info you absolutely cant get rid of it. you can get rid of aliases but just not the original one. WHY!! Is there any brilliant, wonderful,generous person out there that would know how to delete him from my account. The genius bar said that they've never seen this before. If someone can help I'm taking the info to the apple stores that I went to so that I can teach them how to do it. Of course, I will tell them who showed me. I give you my word.

As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you.

Trouble mounting external hard drives to my Macbook after restoring it to factory settings. Solutions??

I just restored my Macbook Version 10.4.11 to factory settings because I heard that it is good to do that to clean it up. I had saved everything on a WD My Book 1110 Media, but now when I try to retrieve the stuff on there, the WD won't even mount.
The whole reason I was needing to make room on my macbook is the computer was freezing up and acting really slowly. I'm about to do a recording project using Protools and needed the macbook to be fast. I thought restoring it would help. Instead, it now won't mount my Glyph, which I need to run protools.
Then was when I tried to mount the WD hard drive and it wouldn't mount either!!!! I'm guessing the problem is with the mac, since both hard drives would not mount. The glyph is connected with a firewire, and the WD is connect by USB. I'm clueless as to what to do. I definitely need to recover the stuff on the WD hard drive.
One other thing: the drives do show up in Disk Utility, but the mount button is gray so I can't do that. Here is the info:

Do I need to install Mac OS 9 Driver? If so, how can I do that with out losing any data from my WD hard drive.

The OS 9 Driver would only be applicable if you were to use OS X
and OS 9 from the external drive; it is not necessary for OS 9 files
to be stored on an external drive, only if you were to use Classic
or OS 9 on there.
So it would be unable to host an OS 9.2.2 system for Classic or
any applications that would require read-write on external HDD.
{What of the WD HDD's driver update, in link? Do Not update
Western Digitals 'firmware' as it also is available, & wipes HD.}
The linked driver download, for the WD drive itself, may (or not) be
installable without harming data on the drive. I read where that driver
can support back to OS X Tiger 10.4.11, so it would support Tiger final.
Do you have an original source for the Glyph & Pro-
Tools, outside of the saved content of the WD HDD?
Another idea, could be the enclosure of the WD may have failed while the drive inside is OK. Would not be the first time, so that may be something to consider. If you get another enclosure, be sure if there are any jumper changes for WD drive to be compatible, they match. You may be able to get one of those cables to use instead of the enclosure, that allows the external drive itself to run; they usually include a power adapter, but the WD may not have had an external. However the cable set to run a bare drive often includes one.
Hopefully you can restore access to the external drive
& then find a better backup scheme, in duplicate.

How can I turn off the laptop after restoring it to factory settings?

I am selling my Portege R830-10Q so I want to restore it to factory settings (out-of-box state) AND THEN TURN IT OFF.
I have successfully brought the laptop to factory settings by using the _TOSHIBA Recovery Wizard_ and choosing *Recovery of Factory Default Software (Recover to out-of-box state)*. However, at the end of the recovery process and after everything is re-installed I was not able to TURN OFF the laptop. I was only given the option of restarting it. After restating it, the Windows set-up process starts.
I don't want to set-up Windows, i.e. language, keyboard, user account, etc. I want to leave the Windows set-up for the person who buys the laptop from me. How can I switch off the laptop after the system recovery without having to set up Windows?
I'd really appreciate your help.

When recovery procedure is finished and you are asked for restart just press power button and switch it off. I think it only thing you can do.
Anyway, why not to start Windows and go through setup option. New owner can change this basic settings anyway. As username put Admin and language and keyboard can be set as default.
For instance, if you have German recovery image set everything to German. New owner can change it anyway.

After logging into Windows properly and try to restore the default factory settings by pressing the lenovo onekey recovery button it is not working then I have uninstalled it and downloaded the same version from the lenovo drivers site,but at the last moment of the installation of it i used to get "onekey recovery has stopped working"
Also sometimes earlier i have faced the issues while working used to get Dark blue screen with some text written on it and need to restart the system one more time.
