Would selling cool iPhone cases on eBay be a good ieda im 16 im trying to create a job for my self becasue times are hard

selling cool iPhone cases a good ieda?

While it sounds like a good idea, you will have an incredible amount of competition as anyone can go anywhere to buy an iPhone case. You would have to advertise your business and explain why someone would want to buy from you rather than Best Buy, RadioShack, or any other place where they can pick up a case in an afternoon and not have to wait for it to be shipped. Keep up the business spirit. Maybe look for something you can where you live. Offer a service of some type. Good luck with your search.

can i use a 2nd iphone if i install itunes on another user account.when i tried to create a second library i messed up both phones, the second one now has all my contacts and when it sends txts it either says its my other phone or email address. i can cope with the first phone and getting it back on itunes but dont want to syn the 2nd phone until i know it is independant of the other one. Does it matter that both phones use the same itunes store account?

Deleting the account on your phone only removes if from your phone.  The account and it's data remain intact and doing so will not effect your daughter's phone.
To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn any synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off, and when prompted, choose to keep the data on the phone.  When finished, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn any data you want to sync with iCloud (contact, calendars, etc.) back to On.  This will upload your data to your new iCloud account.

    Hi Jamesdwills,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, the Game Center profile should be the same.
Check out this information from the iPad User Guide.  Try signing out of the Game Center on both devices and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:

  • Selling old iPhone 3G on eBay

Hi, I'm selling my old iPhone 3G on eBay so I can afford iPhone 4. Could someone just briefly give me a run through of what I need to do to totally wipe my iPhone clean so it's ready for selling?
    Many thanks

To add to Tamara's post, make sure its plugged into a wall outlet before you hit the erase all contents button, as this can take several hours on a 3G.

  • Selling 16GB iPhone 3GS on Ebay question.

I think I am going to sell my 3GS on Ebay now that I have had my iPhone 4 for a few weeks and it's going good. Would the phone be considered unlocked then since I replaced the 3gs with the 4? Also would I include the sim card or take it out?
    Thanks

No, it would not be considered unlocked as it is locked.
ALL U.S. iphone are carrier locked to AT&T.
Take the SIM card out when you sell it.

  • I bought an iPhone 5 off eBay and it is iCloud locked. I tried contacting the owner of the iCloud account but they haven't answered HELP

I already tried contacting them, phone # doesn't work.
I just need someone to help me unlock it thanks

No @fjwhiston If apple had not made this lock, one of us could have a working iPhone. Doesn't matter if it was stolen. I paid so its apples fault. now NONE of us, me or the original owner has a working iPhone.
    whats better?
    A. locking the phone, original owner has lost it, buying it and not being to use it.
    B. Locking the iPhone after its stolen, but now new owner cant use it or old owner cant.
    C. The iPhone is locked, but instead of NOONE being able to use it "original owner or me", one of us has a working iPhone?
answer is C, but now nobody has a working iPhone, its a LOSE-LOSE scenario. WHICH IS COMPLETE RUBISH
Sorry, but your anger is 100% misdirected.  Before Activation Lock, anyone could steal an iPhone (which happens every few minutes around the world), wipe it and set it up as their phone.  How would you feel if your phone was stolen and you knew the thief could set it up?
Activation lock is just one of the great new features Apple has introduced in the last two years.  You won't find a single person on this forum who thinks otherwise.  If you live in California, ALL phones are going to be required to have a kill switch.  ALL PHONES.  That has been put in law by the California Legislature.  Once activated, the kill switch will render that phone useless for all time.
If you have anyone you should be angry with it's ebay.  They sold you a device you can't use and you need to return it to them and get a refund.  Call them and complain until you reach someone who can fix this for you.  You shouldn't be out $300.  It's not your fault.  But you can't be mad at Apple for what is clearly ebay's fault.

I've used the screencapture facility on my phone to snap a dozen or so screen caps.
I've moved them to my PC
I've buit a project (in C8) that is sized 640 x1136 but when I punblish them as video (to you tube) it comes out landscape.

  • I bought a case for the iPhone, but it's just much cooler sans case

Pretty much everyone I know uses a case, but I think the iPhone loses a lot of its cool factor with a bland, rubber case. Does anyone use the iPhone without a case and will it definitely break if you drop it? Just curious

That's hard to say. How far are you dropping it? What is it landing on? Seems I would sacrifice "cool" rather than be hit by a charge for replacing the phone should it be damaged. Keep in mind, it's an appliance. And I imagine there are a few cases out on the market that are something other than bland rubber.

  • For iPhone Case Lovers and their concern of Magnet Closers!!

I recently learned that some have had issues with their iPhone when used with a cases that includes magnets for closing. Sorry mwhitted for your woes.
While looking for a nice case for myself I became concerned of this, and decide to contact Sena about their Dockable iPhone case. This case seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, but after reading mWhitted and a few others problems I wasn't sure.
So I sent them a e-mail with the links and question their knowledge about their product.
This was late last night (about 1:39 am). How about 10:09 in the a.m. I get a response! A Long and thoroughly explained response (read Below).
Great customer service! I am going to give this company a try and see how well this works.
I have included my original e-mail to them and their response by Ronda so that you may judge for yourself.
PS. mWhitted, aparently the case you used may not have had the proper magnets and maybe not assembled appropriately for this phone which may have caused the problem. What do you think, maybe this may have been the cause?
Thanks for the info by the way.
Below is my email to them.

I have looked up many cases for my iPhone and I have found your Dockable one to be just the style and function I am looking for. Although recently there has been a buzz going around that the magnetic closing cases such as these have caused many iPhones to malfunction.
I was curious as to if you had any information on this? I also wanted to send you this so that you may look into this to avoid any potential problems with your sales.
Another question, I would like to know if it would be possible to replace the magnets in this case and apply velcro to it instead as an option for your customers?
As far as the info that I had on the magnets, you can read tease threads from apple support forums for reference.

Subject: Case Update: 1086 - Pre-Order Dockable iPhone case
Update for Case #1086 - "Pre-Order Dockable iPhone case"
We use only non Neodymium magnets that do not interfere with the device. We have done extensive testing with many devices to assure that the magnet use will not harm the internal applications or antenna on the devices which we manufacture cases for. Also we have long created cases for use with the IPOD nano, Ipod 3rd,4th and Ipod Video devices using the non Neodymium magnets in our cases without any interferance at all after selling thousands upon thousands of cases. Sena Cases are designed by Engineers with PhD, they are all handcrafted by skilled craftsmen who have been in the leather industry for many years making them expert leather craftsmen, our cases are not just designed by a purse maker or a designer who is thinking of only fashion and style, because of the engineering focus of the design staff they are detail oriented making sure that each and every feature and function of the device has been addressed and is accessible as well as taking wevery precaution to protect the devices and information which belongs to our loyal customers, and new customers as we hope that each person who finds their way to Sena Cases will become loyal to our products for all devices which they own now and in the future. Because our company's entire focus is PDA, Smartphone and Computer cases Sena Management and Design staff have extensively researched magnets available in the industry and magnetic substrates, with a solid plan to avoid any magnet which would harm any device we have created a case for, So the selection of the magnets available and the possible strengths that we can use are focused on a very limited type and size of magnet, sometimes even shape takes some precidence in the design of certain cases, in regards to the iPhone magnets the staff have created a new installation making the magnet undetectable on the open face of the case so that the form and shape are very sleek and suitable to the high style devbice which is in the Sena Case. Some case makers off shore may just throw a case together without considering future ramifications, These case manufacturers may be selling cases at a lower price point not created out of fine materials or more novelty type accessory cases that are often offered at a bargain price that is unbelievably inexpensive, They may be thinking when creating their own design that " this company and that company use magnets we will to..." this may be how cases get created for devices which may harm the device that they were intended to protect. Sena Cases has taken every precaution to design a slim sleek sexy iphone case that will protect your device in a very stylish fashion throughout the years that you own this expensive device.
I will pass your forum links on to our design staff and the research group as well as our company president for review, Customer feedback is highly valued here at Sena Cases. I assure you that serious research has been done to assure that your iPHONE case will fit precisely allow access to all features and functions and to protect your investment in the device and the information which it contains as you as well as your referrals and your future business is our main focus and if we dint sweat all the little details to attempt to create you a perfect case for your device we could not expect your loyalty to our brand.
We do also stand behind all our products with a one year warranty against any manufacturing defects. The best compliment we can receive is for a customer to refer family, friends, colleagues and strangers that they cross paths with to our cases as your refferral of our product is more valuable to us that a full page color ad in a major magazine, if your happy you will refer many people to our products who will refer their friends and so on and so on....
Stephan, I reccomend that you avoid Neodymium magnets in what ever case you elect to purchase and you will be fine, I am hopefull that you will elect to protect your iPhone in our cases, as we make a fine product as does many competitors in the market, I am not familiar with their designs for this device so I cannot speak openly about any of them, but the iPHONE cases in our office on display as well as future designer cases to be released before the fall are all incredible. Sena Will have some leathers and designs nwever seen before by similar type device owners ever in the past, as our company has searched out new Leather vendors as well as creating our traditional line of stylish Sena cases will be releasing a designer series of cases for iPHONE because the device is phenomonal the design staff and management felt that the cases could also help carry off the devices style in a ddifferent intrepretation.
You will love any of the Sena Cases designs which are available now or in the future., We have had customers stop by and try on the prototype cases which we have photographed and were in love with the look and fit. The sensor on the face of the case has been revised the original case designed before the device was available to accommodate the proximity/light sensors! The sensor lies above the ear piece at the top of the screen. so there will be two circular oval type openings above the screen. These cases are really off the hook, crazy cool and distinctively beautiful, I am hopeful you will enjoy owning one to protect your device.

  • Stolen iPhone bought from eBay help!

    Hello there
I don’t know if this will sound to you inreresting but i thought i should write to tyoy informing of a case that involves my iphone4
Last year on August i got my iphone4 through ebay from a good rated seller factory sealed and was using it here in Greece without any problem. I paid through paypal by the way
After almost a year a strange thing happened. I thought i should extend my iPhones warranty so i went to the apple website and put my serial number and my apple id so the phone was linked to my account. Late i know but better late than never
At the end of the process i regretted and i stopped the process. After 8 hours or so i received an email from the US from a detective. Yes i know i thought yeah ok this is a spam
This person informed me that the apple product that i have was stolen from the apple factory
Again i thought this was a scam
This person though informed me of the product that i owned and he even provided me with the serial number!!!!i asked him where did he find my email address and he said he got it from apple.
The story continues of course with me trying to resolve the issue with ebay and paypal but without any success
To be honest i was very suprised with this especially when after soo long i now know that i have a stolen product. which from my end is legally purchased from ebay through paypal
We have a forum here in Greece www.applemania.gr me being one of the owners and as you can imagine we follow you and all apple news. This is the reason that i thought i should write to you and inform you of this issue in case you find it interesting
I am not attaching the email of the detective in Colorado but if you wish i can
if anyone has any ideas what my next steps should be please do tel!
    Thank you for your time

im a member since day one and never had problemns..this isnt exactly a problem either cos i am using the phone and the phone was purchased legaly through there
im asking if there is any chance of returning the phone to apple or ebay due to this case
FYI: You can NOT legally purchase something that was stolen. It's called receiving stolen property in the US and is a criminal offense. Since you bargained in good faith when you purchased it, you would most likely not be charged IF you surrendered the phone to authorities and cooperated with them in helping to identify the seller.
You will need to get documentation from law enforcement to present to e-bay/pay-pal to plead your case for a refund and will most likely need to return the phone to Apple. I would speak to law enforcement in your country and ask them to handle the communication.
This, people, is why it's a bad idea to buy things from e-bay. In the beginning, it was a good source for some things, now it's just a nest of thieves and scam artists. Not all of them, of course, but a significant percentage.

  • Best Cooling Tower Case With Handles

I'm trying to build a computer that will run Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and other programs.
From reading on these forums, it looks like the best options for me right now are:
    i7 2600K
    Asus Sabertooth P67
    GTX 570
    16GB Patriot 1333MHz RAM
    Windows 7 Home
500GB hard drive for the system and programs and page file
Four 1TB drives in two RAID-0 configuations
I'm probably not going to overclock right now because I don't want to be so concerned with overheating.  I may try overclocking later.
I got some prices at Fry's, which includes the Corsair 600T Tower Case.
    I have 2 questions:
    1. I read on a forum that a guy was having problems with cooling on the 600T and another person said the 20mm fans are too small, that 30mm are better.
    2. I'm also trying to find a case that has a handle (or handles) so that I can transport it easily back and forth to another location.
I've read here to stay away from the small or mini towers because they don't cool well enough and that makes sense to me.
I only saw one at Fry's that had a handle, but I can't remember the name of it.
I like the Mac Pro tower style handles.  Good and solid.
Anyone know of a case that is:
    1. Great for cooling the above configuration, and
    2. Has a handle?
Any feedback on the other componenets would be great as well.
Thanks for any help or advice.

    Flyingfish,
I can think of two pretty good possibilities for a luggable (mid or larger) case with a handle, and I'm sure there are others out there as well (Google LAN party):
Thermaltake V5 Black Edition Mid-tower Gaming Case (has nice full handle)
Any mid or full tower case + Sunbeam LAN Party Bag (includes strong straps that go around case to carry any case and keyboard using backpack style straps, shoulder strap, or a handle)
Don't scrimp on cooling, even if you do not plan on overclocking; look for a dual fan heat pipe style that will fit with whatever case you do choose. Good cooling will keep your rendering reliable and will allow for the 2600k to "turbo" (speed itself up) more effectively.
Now, regarding your component list, it looks just great! Don't forget a 850 watt p/s from a solid manufacturer. Also, skip the Corsair 600T; I brought one home I liked the design so well, then returned it when I realized the fans were not up there with the best fans and the typical high-quality replacement fans (Scythe Gentle Typhoon, etc.) do not fit without starting to drill holes, etc.

  • Will iphone cases work with the touch

when looking for a case, can you use an iphone case?
or do you have to buy specific touch cases?

1G Touch cases also won't work with the 2G Touch that was just released. The case is a slightly different shape and there's a volume control on the side that would be covered by a 1G case.
The way power is supplied to the Touch through the dock connector changed as well.

  • HT3743 I bought a used iPhone 3 from eBay my husband tried to update it and all that comes up on the screen now is the imei and iccid numbers with iTunes icon and a USB have I bought a dud or what

I bought an iPhone 3 from eBay and when my husband tried to update it all that comes up on the screen is the imei and iccid numbers along with the iTunes icon and a USB. I can only use it for emergency calls as that is all that happens when I slide it on. Have I paid $250 for a dud phone or what can I do to fix it. Any help would be appreciated .

Sounds like your iPhone was hacked to unofficially unlock it. You can put it in Recovery mode, connect it to iTunes and Restore it in iTunes. Then you will need to call AppleCare, give them the model and serial numbers and find out which cell provider it is locked to. After you get that information contact that cell provider and see if you can get it officially unlocked.
