Would someone check my site?

Good morning. Would someone like to help me out here.
www.dinovagsd.com
I have 2 pages published - HOME and DEVIN. The links do work,
yay.
I created Home page, liked it, published it, and it looked
great. I made a template of it, created Devin page, things went
sour, so I deleted template. Then I went back, opened Home page
(index.html - which I don't think was a template at that point,
huh?) did a "save as," named it Devin, and now this is what I have
on both pages -- the giant gap before the red-lettered headings.

before you go any further - I suggest you correct the errors
in css
detailed here. margins must have units - they can't be just a
number

  • Would you Check my Site for Me?

Hey gang. Site is still under construction. I was hoping a couple of you could just poke around to see if the links work, and see if the load times are on a par with iWeb in general. I know that iWeb code is a bit bloated and slow, but maybe I'll transfer the publish folder to some place like lunar pages.
On the gallery page, I replaced the gallery thumbnails with pics that I turned into navigation buttons for faster load.
    Thanks for any input.

A quick way to check your own links is to use the freeware application - Integrity....

  • Would someone check my VI

    Hi,
i am currently building a VI to control a goniospectrometer. Since I am no professional programmer but a student in optical engineering and image processing, I have only basic knowledge of programming.
The "Manuell test alpha.vi" has no error, it is running without problems. What I would like to know is, is there something I could do better, streamlining the VI?
    Thanks for replys,

I do not understand why a single wait statement supports CPU
A loop without a wait statement or other mechanism to slow it down will run as fast as it can, gobbling up all availalble CPU. It will typically spin many times for many milliseconds before releasing its hold so other processes such as front panel updates or parallel loops get their turn. You will notice that the FP controls and indicators might even get unresponsive for short periods of time. (In one of his blog entries, Joel Sumner explains that loops without a wait primitive will spin for 55ms before other loops that are ready to execute get a chance.)
Even a 0ms wait statement will allow everyhing to run smoother, because other processes can "interlace" after each iteration.
It really depends on how critical your loop speed is. It is probably sufficient to run e.g. 100x per second. If without wait it would execute10000x per second, a 10ms wait inside the loop will cause your application to consume only 1% of the CPU resources. This is a big difference!
Another reason is predictablility. Especially with instrument control, you don't want you application speed to be a function of computer hardware. It should run at a predictable speed on both a slow or a fast computer.

How exactly work those shift registers? How, other than sequence structure, can I guarantee, that some blocks are executed one after the other ("Menü" first), but some ("Not-Aus") can always interrupt and execute?
    Dataflow dictates that
A code element only produces output once it has finished.
A code element will start exeuting once ALL its input contain data.
This makes it easy to force execution order using wires. (See below)
    Robert_Schröder wrote:
I thought I use controls for starting values, which can be transfered to the executing subs, but easily changed through the use of variables. Is this possible with direct wire?
Many of your controls (e.g. the one mentioned above)  use fixed starting values. They get set from the output of the subVI and are then used as input somewhere else. Whatever you change on the FP has no effect, because it will get overwritten by the code anyway.
To illustrate some of the points, I made a few quick modifications:
"LISTEP ID" Is a constant that never changes. It can be a diagram constant. It is used in several structures of the main loop, routing it across all the structures in the desired order will force a given execution order. (Use execution highlighting to verify )
I eliminated all local variables for the "DMT200" thread. The DIM and STEP can start out as diagram constant and then maintained in shift registers. They are changed by the corresponding menu item.
The DMT2000 indicator can be wired outside the case structure from both cases.
The "positionsanzeige" boolean can be treated similarly.
Of course it looks a bit messy at the moment. Yo should probably rearrange things for a more suitable layout. More comments are on the block diagram in yellow.
Local variables should be avoided if possible because:
they break dataflow and possibly introduce race conditions. Dataflow ensures proper execution order automatically.
They cause a data copy in memory (no big deal here, but inportant with big arrays).
They force a switch to the UI thread (I believe), lowering performance.
LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time .

  • Could someone check my site in IE 7?

Anybody running a PC with IE 7? My work-in-progress site looks fine in Safari, but terrible in IE5 which is all I have on my Mac. Firefox also seems to put the navigation bar on two lines for some reason.
On the Home page, the copyright and Quicktime lines should each be on one line. My quicktimes load very slooowly, but I'm working on it...
    thanks, I really appreciate it!

  • Could someone check my site with IE please?

    My url is http://www.mamaloveproducts.com
I would so appreciate knowing if it's working ok.
    Thanks!

Looks fine in IE 6 on PC.

  • Could someone check my site on IE PC please.

I've got rid of all spacial lines (though I can't get rid of the ones created on blog pages) and would like to know if it still crashes on a PC with IE.
Help owuld be grate ful as I most of my friends are mac users.
    Ta

Yes, everything looked ok. They had that same ol' "PNG reload after the page is loaded" thing, but other than that, looks great.
Actually, now I'm on your "Audio" page and, since it takes awhile for the audio to load, those images stay gray for quite awhile. Also, when you scroll the page, all those QuickTime controls smear up and down (only under IE, Firefox is fine).
In Firefox on the PC, it just holds up loading those other pictures until all the audio is loaded. I wonder if moving the audio clips further forward would mean the graphics would go ahead and load under them first.

  • Would someone be willing to check as3 code for a guestbook

Would someone be willing to check out some as3 code for a guestbook? I'm an old person, and can't seem to get it working.
    Thanks!

Ned suggested that I post the code, so everyone could see it. The SWF works, but the code doesn't. Any help appreciated!

    Hello,
I have installed mountain lion on my macbook pro ,but it made my mac very slow. Would someone please tell me how  to uninstall this one and reinstall snow leopard? I tried to do it by my original CDs but macbook  pro didn't let me to do it.
    Thanks

It would be easier to just fix whatever is making your machine slow.
I wrote a little diagnostic program to help show what might be causing these problems. Download EtreCheck from http://www.etresoft.com/download/EtreCheck.zip, run it, and paste the results here.
Disclaimer: Although EtreCheck is free, there are other links on my site that could give me some form of compensation, financial or otherwise.

  • IE PC 6 users, check this site.

I just checked the site below and the QuickTime movies smear across the entire site when you scroll. Does it do the same on your system? (If you were curious as to what a QuickTime movie looks like when it's smearing across the page, this is it. And it's quite ugly. )
    http://web.mac.com/makentosh/iWeb/tipsfromtheiceberg/Blog/86C1701F-8A86-486E-A6C 9-72F5621F5342.html
Just one more reason to scare off IE users. I'm also curious as to whether or not it looks fine with IE 7.

    Kyn,
Theoretically, using a jpg instead of a png should prevent the problem, BUT I think that iWeb will automatically change the jpg to a png when publishing, in which case the problem would remain. You can still use a png image as the page background, but do it following these instructions (step 1 is the most important one):
In iWeb, in each of your pages with the QuickTime controller,
    1) go to the "Page" heading in the Inspector window and under "Page Background" select "None" (The Browser Background can have a color fill without affecting this issue.)
    2) on the main iWeb window at the bottom, click "Shapes" and select the square
    3) drag the newly created square all the way up the page, without yet resizing it, so that it is within the "header" section of the page (where the navigation menu is)
    4) now leave it there and move the pointer back down to the bottom of the page and click "Backward" until the square shape is behind all of the menu text
    5) now drag one of the corners of the square to resize it OR use the inspector pane (click on the ruler icon to get the "Metrics" pane) to resize and position it so that it spans the entire page.
    6) again using the inspector, select the "Graphic" pane, and choose the fill type (color fill, gradient fill, etc.) for this new background. In the stroke section, select none, unless you want a border around the page background.
    7) publish.

  • Where would someone turn if they think they may be interested in apple/mac software development for systems and applications?

Where would someone turn if they think they may be interested in apple/mac software development for systems and applications? I do have some experience with industrial machine control programming. Not that it directly applies, however I have been involved in some types of programming.

I would check out the refurbished section of the online Apple Store before buying a used one from Craislist. They go quickly so you have to check often. It will be more than sufficent for you to work with.
There are more than a few such books, go to a book store near you and browse them yourself to see which one works for you.
For items 3 and 4 wait until you are ready for a commercial app and then seek help from a lawyer and an accountant.

  • Would someone please be so kind as to provide a URL to jre1.6.0_21-c.msi?

    Hello,
Would someone be so kind as to provide a URL to jre1.6.0_21-c.msi on the java.com(or oracle.com) web-site(s)?
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration,

I don't know of any msi file. The only downloads I know exist are in the download archive:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html#jre-6u21-b07-oth-JPR
A quick google seems to indicate that the msi file exists on the filesystem after you install the runtime once.

        Hello Leisabee!
I am so excited for you to get your iPhone 5. I know how eager we all are to have this phone!  I know you mentioned you ordered on 9/14, did you receive a confirmation letter by chance?
You can also check your order status here: http://bit.ly/rqEisu
That is really just right around the corner and time will fly by! I promise.  If you have any other questions, just let us know!

  • Kernel-fglrx-custom: Please could someone check/improve my PKGBUILD

I decided to share a script as it has been very useful to me.  I have never written a PKGBUILD before and it took some attempts to make a working one, so please could someone check the PKGBUILD over and let me know how horrible it is and what I should do differently
    https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kern … ustom-git/
It installs fine on my PC, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not using the PKGBUILD file properly.

There's a couple of things I would change:
    1) The name doesn't really tell the user what the package is for. "kernel-fglrx-legacy" would probably be more helpful.
    2) Rather than pulling a script that will then pull down the kernel package, why not use the existing kernel PKGBUILD in the ABS? You can easily modify that PKGBUILD to apply your script/patches.

  • Where would you check performance of webi? query is taking long time to run

    Hello All,
In the bex query world running on portal you were able to go to sm50 and check what the query is doing and where it is taking a long time or atleast you were able to see the processes runing.
Where would you check the running processes when you are running a webi query, we are trying to write a webi report which is on universe which is created on bex query. The report is very simple just two fields and an mandatory variable which is coming from bex query (have defined the variable in bex query). When we exeute the query it is taking a long time just spinning and I am not getting any data back, on the same query before even hitting the run query button, I am trying to put a object in query filters and set the filter as In list from Value(s) from list and it is taking forever to set that filter.
Can we go to CMC or BW backend and check anywhere we are using sap authentication, I see the number of sessions in CMC but that is it.
    Thanks for help in advance.

Thank you both for the replies.
How would I get the MDX that is generated by the query, I remember there is a note for starting the MDX logging. Can you please let em know how would I get the MDX statement. Thanks.
Gowtham - What is the optimal array fetch size that needs to set for the universes, can you explain bit more about array fetch size?
All our universes are on BEx queries designed in SAP BW in that case does the array fetch size matter and array bind size matter? I had read this in oneof the universe designer manuals for OLAP universes The Array fetch size, Array bind size, and Login timeout parameters are not used for OLAP connections
    Thanks again for replies.
