Would someone please help me install itunes 10.5?

First I try to install and I get this
I click ok then i get this
I think cool!! but then I get this
Sorry, pic says "ERROR 7" reinstall , so I do then i get this
Says "libicuin.dll" was not found ,to re install, then I get
itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall itunes, Error 7(windows error126) and I do and this just keeps going over and over till I am
totally aggrivated... I love My Iphone 4 and want to update it not to mention that I teach Guitar as a day job and use itunes everyday for  that
Please help. I'm at wits end! Thank you for any help!!

Perhaps we can car pool to Cali and find someone that works there that actually knows how to install their program since they clearly have no interest in making it easily accessible to a majority of users. (I too have not been able to install itunes 10.5)

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME REMOVE ITUNES SO I CAN RE INSTALL IT!

How Can I Remove and Unistall Itunes From My Computer I Went To "Add or Remove Programs" and Clicked Itunes "Change/Remove" and nothing happen! its still there same thing for quicktime and im trying to unistalled them because i dont have any were in my computer to click itunes to open! so its like i dont even have it but i cant download it till i remove that one on the add or remove program section but i cant because nothing happens CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME REMOVE ITUNES! FROM THAT LIST!

Well, you can do what I did. You can click onto "Start" and then "My Computer". From there, click onto Hard Disc Drive "C". A window will open that shows the folders that are present. Click onto "Program Files" and then another window will open. You should see both I-Tunes and Quicktime there. Right click onto each one and then click "Delete". That should work. When it's done, restart your computer.
If it doesn't work, hit the "control/alt/delete" keys at the same time and select "Processes". If they show up there, delete them from that list first and then repeat the above procedure.
Good luck. By the way, check out my post on "People with Problems, Read here". You'll find that there's many of us here that cannot make our I-Pod's work correctly because the software for them is HORRIBLE!

let's try swapping out your QuickTime.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
    7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

The action menu can be restored by, in the Finder, selecting under View menu "Customize Toolbar ...". There you will see options to put the action menu (wheel) back on your toolbar.

Okay. Let's try uninstalling the existing version by other means.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Now launch Windows Installer CleanUp ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"), find any iTunes entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those entries, and click “remove”.
Next, we'll manually remove any leftover iTunes program files:
    (1) Open Local Disk (C:) in Computer or whichever disk programs are installed on.
    (2) Open the Program Files folder.
    (3) Right-click the iTunes folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion.
Now restart the PC and try another install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Would someone please help me with Right Click or left click on my mouse

Hi I am trying to use one of the side mouse keys to bring up the menu as if I am hitting the control key. I have changed them to secondary with no luck. I have read several post and still I cant find it. Looking at the apple site it says to change it to secondary and it will function like a PC but no luck. Please help;)

Looking at your info, it looks like you have a Mighty Mouse by Apple, and are new to the OS… in which case follow these instructions.
    1) Click on the Apple Menu in the top-left hand corner.
    2) Select "System Preferences".
    3) Select "Keyboard and Mouse" from the Hardware category.
    4) Click on "Mouse" in the window's toolbar.
    5) Find the Button you wish to change.
    6) Follow the line from that button to the selection box.
    7) Click on the selection box and select "Secondary Button".
That button is now set to your Secondary Button! If you have any trouble using this function, reply to me!
NOTE: If you have a 3rd Party Mouse, you may want to check their support site or driver software.

Someone mentioned it may be a server error with Apple, but my roommate is sitting right in front of me, using her Itunes store without a problem. I don't have Norton, and I already added Itunes to the FIrewall exceptions... I do have SpySweeper though.
    ANy suggestions?

Im in the same boat. My roomate can connect to certain things that i cant. But even on my computer i was able to connect to a podcast then 5 minutes later not able to again. Have your roomate try to open up different things or log out and try to log back in. Your not alone in this. Just curious though who is your cable/internet provider. Mine is Cox Cable. But that really shouldnt matter since i just purchased an app just fine but then try to go back into ituns and read about the app it times out on me..lol

  • Would someone PLEASE help me?!?

I was working on what amounted to a 4 hour slideshow. Months of work. I saved the project, but first emptied the trash as I've always done. This time it froze in mid save for a solid 12 minutes. Assuming that at the very least it would've saved my most recent version (I only changed 2 pictures!) I had no recourse but to "force quit." When I attempted to open the file again & redo the changes I'd just done, the machine said that there were some "missing files that would be skipped. click OK or 'skip all' to continue." Whenever I did that, an error message would pop up saying that "iMovie quit unexpectedly. Report error to Apple..." iMovie won't open the project, or stay on. It'll open other projects, but not this one! Is there any way of retrieving the saved version prior to the changes I made today? I don't know where to look and the prospect of starting months and months of work from scratch has me sick to my stomach. So many fade ins/outs, cross dissolves, wash ins/outs... The truly sickening thing is that the 2 pictures I changed were the final changes. If it'd saved properly there would've been nothing more to do! I do hope that someone will get back to me with some encouraging news.
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Alex
I whished I could be encouraging. But my main message is:
DO NEVER TUCH - Trash basket in iMovie in any version.
    a. In many versions it is destruktive
    b. It nevers saves up anything alike the figure written at it.
    c. I've sent several feed-backs to Apple to just delete it.
    • No use-full information
    • No save use at all
Hopefully someone with mor knowledge can help You to restore Your project.
    I can't and are doubtful.
I would start a new project from scratch not tuching the old one before somone
comes by and have "Super knowledge"
*Next stone that You might stumble over is:* Send/Share/Export to iDVD
    • This function is also lethal:
    • The DVD will be severely pixelated
    • The Original iMovie project will also be HARMED and in need of beeing re-done.
I do: When done in iMovie I close it.
    Open iDVD
In iDVD import the iMovie movie project (icon with a Star on it)
Now iDVD will do the rendering and so much better and without harming Your original.
    Yours Bengt W

  • Please Help.  Installed iTunes 7 and now my 4G iPod & Shuffle won't sync !

And please don't refer me to the basic "uninstall/re-install" crap. It doesn't work. Have any other windows users experienced this?
Oh and also the "find album art" doesn't work and I can't turn the "shared" stuff off. I go to preferences and de-select everything on sharing, then lo and behold it automatically puts the check mark right back in!
However the last 2 problems pale in comparison to not being able to sync my 4G or Shuffle!

    Hello Luis,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
First I would attempt each and every single one of the suggestions in this article as necesssary.

If still no luck, you may want to take a look at this article that discusses possible issues with your iPod's Device Driver and how to remove and re-install it.

  • Would someone please help me figure out why Time Machine has stopped backing up?

Hi, I am a Macbook Pro User running 10.6.8.  I recently moved all of my photos, music and videos over to a 1TB Western Digital HD that I attach via usb.  I believe that this is when the problem started.  When I enter Time Machine, the last backup was on Feb. 17th, which I believe might have been the date that I moved everything..  Thankfully, I just happened to catch that my 2TB iomega HD that I had been using with Time Machine was no longer working, even though I have received no indication otherwise.  I've poured over many queries on this site, as well as many others.  I've tried deleting the TM plist file in my main file folder to no avail, reset TM and reselected the backup disc as well, but nothing seems to correct the problem.  I have noticed, incidentally (or not), that my first backup date was one day short of a year before the last one.  Maybe just a coincidence, maybe not, but worth noting, I thought.
I just tried a backup, and got this from Console:
    Apr 18 14:50:07 Doyle-Hinsons-MacBook-Pro com.apple.backupd[1399]: Starting standard backup
    Apr 18 14:50:07 Doyle-Hinsons-MacBook-Pro com.apple.backupd[1399]: Backing up to: /Volumes/Untitled 1/Backups.backupdb

    Apr 18 14:56:26 Doyle-Hinsons-MacBook-Pro com.apple.backupd[1399]: Backup canceled.
I'm a bit of a novice at this, so explanations in laymen's terms would be greatly appreciated, and I express my deepest appreciation in advance to anyone willing to try and help.
    Many thanks!

Thanks for your response, Linc.  I have everything important to me i.e. pics, music, files, etc backed up elsewhere.  Being that this is the backup drive I've used since the beginning, do I need to worry about losing other data that is on the drive, if I plan on backing up with a different one?  In other words, is there irreplaceable data on the drive that a new backup won't be able to replace (data that's imperative to my computer's functions)?  Thanks again!

  • PLEASE HELP ME INSTALL ITUNES ON MY COMPUTOR

i was having trouble with my itunes library so i went to bing and got a,"i-tunes remover".most everything was removed except from control panel in the installed updates.so i have been trying to re-install i-tunes and it tells me i have an older 32 bit installed and contact a tech.i contacted apple and they wanted my i-phone serial #.i gave it 4 times.they said it was wrong.i was also led to install i-tunes 64.i keep trying but i get the same let down.i think the uninstall also uninstalled  my users file from acer common files

Try asking in the iTunes forum or on a Windows forum. This is not an iPhone related issue.

  • Would someone please tell me where iTunes stores the backups of my iPod on my pc?

I upgraded to IOS 5 on my iPod touch 3rd gen and all my claendar events were erased for the past year, I need this information, it was not synced from my computer, these were items, appointments, and events I entered by hand to my touch, and I need them back.  I am hoping to use the last backup before updating to IOS 5, but I have no idea where the file is on my computer, I have windows 7, and would really appreciate any help.  Thanks, Cindy

If you go to Edit>Preferences>Devices, then you can see all the backups on your computer.
More specifically, the files are located at: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
