Would you accept a Linkedin connection request if you didn't know the person?

I accept people who I have done business with, friends and relatives. The only people on my linkedin that I don't know have previously added recruiters.
I'm now very happy and settled in my job though so have stopped allowing recruiters.

Fake LinkedIn companies canbe as dangerous as phony individuals. I’ve seen instances of fake companiesthat create fake jobs in an attempt to collect all kinds of data fromapplicants.Often people that are security conscious in general when itcomes LinkedIn requests may be less security conscious /strict when it comes tothese (sometimes fake) potential job related connection requests – after allthis could be the dream job, a missed opportunity. These scams manipulate our fearof missing out.
