Would you buy your MacBook all over again?

Just curious. I'm thinking, now that I'm experiencing these sharp edges and periodic mooing in addition to a grudgingly slow wireless Internet connection, that I wouldn't. I'd go with a "comparable" PC laptop. All these problems, they just aren't worth the conversion to Mac OS X in my humble opinion.

I so enjoy this little computer that I want MORE! I like its small size. I like its speed. It is so easy to use. I love its versatility with being able to run nearly any OS you throw at it via VM appliances.
I think I wish I had held off, waited til the 15" MacBook Pro had its kinks worked out (if there are any), and bought that one instead.
These new Macintosh notebook computers (notice I didn't type laptop) are da bomb! GO APPLE!
But, I think I want the MacBook Pro or whatever is coming up in the future, especially for the graphics card. For *ME*, I feel the need for a bit more horsepower in the graphics.
So, would I have done purchased this little honey if I had to do it again... I just am not sure, but if I hadn't, my want-to-EYE and radar would be looking over the horizon as to what Apple will be doing in the way of tweaking the product line.

So all these darn rumors about early 2012 or a macbook air refresh, would you buy today or wait? I was going to buy one this week, but now i'm hearing early 2012 new air's...that could mean january, or that could mean april. Just need some friendly advice!

Ok, just an update
Ordered on Dec. 6th, air arrived dec. 7th! I was not home but UPS left it on my doorstep. Kind of concerning since anyone could have just snatched it. Anyways, got home, set it up, screen is amazing! Speed is quick, cant be happier. Glad I went with the 13", perfect size for travel, not too big, not too small. Thanks for all the posts in helping me make my decision.

Would you buy your T530/430 again?

I have had my T530 for 2 weeks now, and the fingerprint sensor stopped working, so I contacted the Lenovo customer service and they gave me an option between a full refund and a exchange (for a new T530).
It was a tough decision, but I ended up going for the exchange option.
My reasoning was that I paid $1200 for my Lenovo and at this price, there just is not another manufacturer that offer a customizable business grade laptop. Even if I found a prebuilt laptop at the same price range, the specs would be quite below the T530 for the same amount of money.
So if you had a choice, would you go for another Lenovo? Have I made a right decision?

You made a good choice. I've had my T530 for a little over a year. Never had a problem with it.

If you buy your macbook on the american site can you still send it overseas?

I live in The Netherlands but I want to buy my macbook air on the american site, so I don't know if they will send it over to my town if it's overseas.

You can delete your old backups by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup.
But what do you mean by "start all over again like it's a new phone"? Do you mean you want to delete all the data in your iCloud account or delete everything on your phone and restore it as a new iPhone?

You buy one download and one download only, it is your responsibility to backup your music.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

It is probably because you are not properly closing Firefox. Restarting your system would make sure that Firefox had terminated, but you do not have to do that.
To properly close Firefox on Windows systems, use
:File > Exit or "Firefox:" button > Exit
When you get the message "Firefox is already running" it is too late, and you must force termination of Firefox through the Windows Task Manager before restarting Firefox. Windows 7 has a keyboard shortcut to save you a step "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" then on "Processes" tab, select "firefox.exe" and use the "End Process" button. More thorough would be to right-click on the "firefox.exec" and choose "End Process Tree".
You would find firefox.exe in a Mozilla folder in your program files, but y0u would not want to delete it there, you would need to use the Control Panel which you have already identified and do it from there -- but generally you would not need to do that, and there is nothing in what you have posted to indicate that you should. But if you did do that, then don't let the install start Firefox for you as you would want to use you existing desktop icon or method of starting Firefox, and should decline having Firefox install start Firefox for you. When the install starts then invoke Firefox in your normal manner. This should eliminate problems of creating a new profile rather than using your old profile.

Would you buy TC again?

With the recent bump to 1TB and the need for a new wireless router I'm considering a TC but boy, the experiences seem to be all over the place. I know this is a forum for people trying to iron out problems but if you currently own a TC, would you buy one again? Would you recommend to other mac users?
I may not go the wireless Time Machine route given some of the problems I've heard and my experience with Time Machine on my work iMac. May use SuperDuper instead or equivalent.

Without a doubt I'd buy one again. I have one and my mother bought one. Not a problem between us (over a year +). As you correctly said this is a place where people come to help solve problems so you will see a higher rate of no responses.
I have a dual band Time Capsule and the network is much stronger than my old Linsys router. No backup problems but I did the first one via Ethernet.
When I bought a new iMac I was able to use the Time Machine backup to transfer all my files and preference from my old mac mini. Took about 40 minutes. How can you beat that?

Would you buy the iPhone 5 again?

I've been an Android guy since the Motorola Droid 1 days and most recently have used the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. In short, I've been happy with this phone other than the fact it doesn't do its most important feature well such as HOLDING A SIGNAL. Seriously, it is a freaking joke. It was a problem when I bought this phone and I kept thinking that VZW would roll out an update to fix it. Nope. A dozen tech calls might fix it. Nope. Even VZW seems to have given up on the phone. Now when I call to complain, they just remind me I have an upgrade coming. Most people fault VZW, I fault Google for allowing their flagship Nexus device to launch with such poor construction.
So onto my question. My wife has the iPhone 4S, which for the most part has been great. At a minimum it holds a steady 3G signal where I can't get anything. At this time, I still want 4G and I like the bigger size of the iPhone 5, not to mention the global capabilities.
Would you buy the IPhone 5 again? A quick Google search shows there was some reception issues with it as well on VZW, but many of those were older. Has it been resolved? I can't drop a ton of money and deal with this stupidity again. Otherwise I might hold on for the Moto X. I'm through with Samsung, forever.

WOW, I just had my Verizon insurout ance replacement iphone 4s stolen in Cambridge, MA and located it with the App Find my Phone, and need a phone desperately as it is my work phone. The replacement 4S stopped holding a charge for more than an hour and many other problems, like when you go to Contacts, and try to choose a person to call or text, the names start automatically scrolling and it was like diving in a pool of water that was 12' wide from a skyscraper....it took like 15 attempts to finally get your finger on the right contact and was absolutely frustrating. So I was headed out to suck up the retail price for a new iphone 5 because my contract isn't up yet w/ Verizon and I also won't be using them again.
So, I have 2 questions as I am at my wit's end and taking vacation day to deal with this crap today as I fly 60 % of the time. An as an FYI, Boston and Cambridge campus is a hot spot for stolen Smartphones, so you might wanna tape that baby to your chest and use the speaker phone:-)
1. Is the iphone 5 a piece of crap too and does anyone have Samsung Galaxy or any other models they don't have issues with?
2. I am NOT tech savvy and was going to try to buy a used one on Craigslist or Ebay but all the recommendations are that you ask all these questions and go pick it up in person??? I am a female and that is not going to happen.....HELPPP Any other options before I jump off that skyscraper into that pool???

All of my purchased ringtones and songs dissapeared out of the blue. How do I get them back without having to buy them all over again?

Out of the blue, all of my purchased ringtones and music aren't displayed anymore on my iPhone.
I went to iTunes to see if they were stored there, but the downloads folder also appears to be empty. If I try to select a ringtone I've downloaded before, a popup appears saying that I've already purchased that item and asking if I want to cancel or buy. If I click on buy, then I pay for the item again even if I already have it! The only place I can still see my purchased items is in the iTunes application on my computer, but even though I've already selected sync, the ringtones and songs still won't appear on my iPhone.
What happeneded and how can I get them back without having to pay for them all over again?

I'm having the same problem on an iphone 4s running iOS8; when i updated to iOS8, all my ringtones went missing, and when i got a £50 gift card for christmas (2014), I purchased some songs from the iTunes store on my iPhone. i downloaded songs from paramore, panic! at the disco, coldplay, and imagine dragons, over wi-fi, and they went into my iphone music library; but when i re-opened the music app a few days later, in a place where i had no wi-fi, except for my 3G phone signal, some cloud icons appeared next to my newly purchased songs, telling me to re-download them from the cloud, when i haven't even deleted them. this has happened twice now, and i had to use up some of my 5GB data allowance to redownload them from the cloud. This is annoying and i need to fix this issue ASAP.

Contact iTunes Customer Service, and request an exchange. Nobody wants the Clean versions, and everybody knows it. The Clean versions are only in the Store to give parents of young kids a warm fuzzy feeling.
The stats may show that some people buy the Clean versions, but in fact 99% of those cases are people who got it by mistake, just like yourself.

You need to upgrade the iMac to Mac OS X 10.6.3 and then 10.6.8; the installer won't run on 10.5.8, and it won't install onto a 10.5.8 system if run from a compatible OS.

In iMovie 11, how can you cut/paste a clip that has subtitles and actually have the subtitles get cut/pasted. When I try, the subtitles disappear into the void and I have to do the subtitling all over again.
