  • Can connect wow wireless MAC

I returned my headsett because it stopped charging after a few months.
Today i received my new wow headsett and i was happy again
How ever it wont connect .. it shows up in my system and it works a few minutes, then it shuts down.
I need to restart the headsett every 5 min or so .. really annoying.
I downloaded the software and have now done 4 new instalations, still no sucess.
Everytime i try to install the firmware again it says the headsett is not connected.
Im at a loss here ...
So it shows up and works 5 min then stopps .. i even got the error that the THX in extensions didnt work, so i deleted it and installed it again and again again .. aaaa
please help cause turning it off and on every 5 min is not an option
    thank you
    Thomas

    Hey
Yes ofc i tried other usb ports - i even tried a usb hub, that indicated with a diod if the usb is in use ...most of the time the stick is dead.
But im thinking more and more software issue, ive tried installing your software again and that error comes upp that the THX thread in extensions is not valid, there for no audio device is found.
I tried on a PC laptop and there it didnt rekoqnize the usb at all after installing drivers.
SOmetimes the sound shuts of when the lights do on headsett sometimes not.

  • Wow, a full Digitial Voice outage

Nice that I tried to make a phone call when the emergency call from the school, that my son was ill, went to voice mail on my Verizon Wireless phone because service is so bad in Massapequa, Long Island, NY.  (I had just moved from Garden City, LI, where Data services were degraded for my Iphone), which makes me really sorry I didn't stick with AT&T as my IPAD2 is AT&T and has 5 bars and quite speedy.  When the verizon tech installed my service, he had to drive a town over with his wireless laptop 4 times to program my Network Termination Unit (NTU)... one was defective.
I picked up my phone to call the school and see what had happpend with my son, and I had dial tone, but
calls were not connecting.  I reached Verizon via a borrowed AT&T cell, and the agent was pretty nasty
when I complained about the inability to dial.  He advised me they have a major outage.  WOW, and no
one knows???  I don't see it on the support site!  Even the small little ITSP's like Vonage have a "System Status"
    on their webside.  Not Verizon.
Well, I dropped my Asterisk PBX on my net, powered it up, connect to Liquidity.com, where I have a
SIP endpoint I normally use if I am on the road and need a land line. I will connect via a soft client
via SIP.  (I actually get 4 channels in  / 4 channels out for $27.99 a month and I have never had any
problems, except once where I could not dial a particular 888 number, but they resolved that quickly.
So I have phone service again!  Via Verizon.  But it is my 35/35 Internet that my PBX is doing SIP
to Liquidity.com that is getting me phone connectivity. My "Verizon Digital Voice" is still dead!
You know... old POTS -48VDC just worked.  Even their non-digital pots service over 1310nm
to their DMS switching facility, just worked.  NOW they are using SIP over IP, and they have
    network issues.
I have been a network engineer designing low latency fiber and wireless networks for
30 years.  They don't care to talk to people that know more anout their network than
they do.  The agent and technical support were pretty rude. "We are using a new SIP
technology on digital voice!?   NEW????  Like 1985 new???  Hello!  SS7 is old
(5ESS, NT100)... is old.  SIP is not NEW.  It is "Newer", but not new.
My 16 year old son obtained a PBX package that allows you to basically become a LEC.
He pays for a 100Mbs Metro-Ethernet with QOS service, and provides SIP based LEC
services to about 40 homes in his area.  It is funny.  He has redundant connections, and
his customer base is growing. The PBX administration allows multiple customers,
and programming down to each customer level, will bill generation, etc. Made by a
Romanian company... He has two servers running in load balance mode.
(He is 16!).... I should support him, but I have been using Liquidy as an ITSP for several
years.  Maybe he should consult to Verizon, he knows SIP internals quite well...
I am sure he knows more than the "converted copper guys now called "Multimedia Installers"...
Nice Job Verizon. Thanks for no notification.  Thanks for the same terrible support.
The next RFP that comes in for the next multi-million dollar network I design, rest assured
your RFP response will go in the shredder...

I am sorry to hear about your frustration with the downtime in your service. If you are still experiencing problems making calls, please send me a private message so we can take a look at this.

  • Windows 7 Blue Screen Issues With Alt-tabbing From WoW

As the title says, lately I've been having blue screens which are mostly caused by wow.
Previously I've had the occasional bsod (once a month or so) when alt tabbing, but it was pretty rare. However recently, I've had something more like 1 a day, usually caused by alt tabbing out of wow. It seems the longer I'm alt tabbed the more likely it
is to happen. I haven't experienced the same problem with any other game, although the occasional monthly ones usually happen when I'm changing my music as I alt tab out of League of Legends.
I downloaded bluescreenview and it appears the cause is some combination of win32k.sys as well as ntoskrnl.exe             Based off the fact that it is happening more with a more demanding game, I'm guessing the problem is
most likely due to a bad stick of ram, but I'd like a second opinion.
I'll attach a few of the most recent dump files (the one today is slightly different than the ones last week which seems slightly odd).

We have two consistent bug checks:
    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b)
This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.
This error has been linked to excessive paged pool usage and may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code.

Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

Right, so the code wanted to write to 00000000`00000020 which as we can see above is a completely invalid address. The 1st parameter and cr2 however note we failed writing to address
fffff900c25efcf0. This does not make sense, and is essentially not logically possible.
The hardware was told to write to 00000000`00000020, and the hardware came back and said 'I cannot write to
fffff900c25efcf0'. Another way to think about it is if you kindly asked the waiter of your table for more water, he writes it down, but comes back and says 'I'm sorry, but we're all out of coffee'.
    1. Uninstall any/all installed Asus bloatware, I for example see Asus PC Probe, and AI Suite.
    2. Remove and replace avast! with Microsoft Security Essentials for temporary troubleshooting purposes as it may be causing conflicts:
    avast! removal -
    http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
    MSE -
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
    3. If the above fails, you have faulty RAM.

  • X99S GAMING 9 AC Not booting - Debug 94 code - Issue with GTX 980 SLI in WoW

Hello, I bought the X99S GAMING 9 AC motherboard but have ran into some issues.
The computer won't boot when I put my second MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4 GB card in the last PCEI 3.0 port (PCIE port 5) and I get the debug LED message 94 on the motherboard. I have a SLI setup.
The first card I have in the second PCIE 3.0 port due to the Noctua U14S CPU fan takes up space for the first slot. So I have been running my grafic cards in PCIE slot 2 and 4 with some issues.
First the card in slot 2 gets really warm over 86 celsius. And second: SLI runs really poorly in World of Warcraft. I get a lot higher performance with just one card activated. I am not sure if it's cause I am not running my cards in the recommended PCIE 3.0 ports or because WoW has some issues with SLI, but I heard other people have no issues at all with WoW in SLI.
I got the same issue with 3Dmark firestrike, the cards perform really poor in SLI. I get higher score with SLI turned off..
Though SLI seems to run pretty well in 3dmark 11 and Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls.
But the main issue right now, is that the computer won't boot with the grafic cards in PCIE port 2 and 5. The solution to run them next to each other is not good, cause it gets really hot and I get bad performance in WoW and Firestrike.
Picture of my setup before I switched places with the grafic cards as you can see, it is really tight:
Any upcoming bios updates (got v1.3) that will solve this issue on the horization? Hopefully this get sorted out really soon..
    My whole computer setup:
    Intel i7 5820K | MSI X99S Gaming 9 AC (bios 1.3) | SLI MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4GB | Samsung 850 Pro 512 GB | WD Red 4TB | G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3000MHz 4x4GB | EVGA SuperNOVA P2 1000W | Noctua NH-U14S PnP | Fractal Design Define XL R2 | 5 Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm fans | Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

You must use the recommended PCIE slots as the manual says for your CPU type, PCIE #1 and PCIE #4 if I remember, just open the manual :P for optimal 2Way SLI, also your 5820k will limit to 28 pcie lanes only if you plan to add more vgas...the other problem is your giant CPU air cooler blocking PCIE#1, do a favor to yourself, buy a watercooler for your 5820k and your problems are gone, add some overclock in your system, low noise and better temps.
Here I use 3x980 in SLI with X99S Gaming 9 AC, going soon to WC the VGAs with EK blocks.....3way is far more temperature critical than 2way spaced one.
    Cheers

  • Need Help Fast! Laptop WoW.

With in a cpl. weeks I am going to be moving to India.  I have decided that buying a laptop in India isn't worth the hassle it will definatly be.  I have read the other posts on laptops and WoW here and am utterly confused. Ultimately what I want is a laptop that could handle the mass AOE that happens during a 25m Ony whelp attack.  I want to keep my fps and not drop to next to nothing during a situation like that.  Also I would like something that will most likely still be suitable for the next expansion, as I will be in India and still want to use this laptop.  (I know system req. haven't been released on that, but something that will most likely still be usable they are usually not to great of a jump in requirements between expansions.) Also, I would really like something that isn't going to be defective, stop working, or have issues with 2 weeks after I buy it since I won't be in the country anymore to get it handled.  It's kind of a long specific wish list, I know.  However, I really don't understand computers very well and I need someone knowledgeable to help me.  I want to find the most cost effective product that can meet my needs.  (I think everyone wants that now a days.)   Being able to continue playing while in India is probably the only thing that will help me keep my sanity while taking care of my twins and husband over there.  Please help!!  Thank you so very very much!

The first question to ask is what is your budget? Start looking in the $899-$1000 price range. Anything under that is going to be slow for gaming and a waste of money.
One other point is that it is always a bad idea to buy in the US and then take it out of the country. If it fails then you will need a point of contact back in the US that you can ship the computer to for repair and then pay more shipping to ship it back to India.
Things you want to look for:
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    2 to 4GB of Ram
512mb to 1GB dedicated memory videocard
    250-500GB hard drive
Personally I would avoid Acer, gateway, emachines.
Look at Asus, Alienware or Dell XPS series for gaming and reliablity.
I really think you are setting yourself up for trouble when buying in the US and taking it to India. Laptops just fail so quickly no days.

  • Can i install wow on an external hard drive?

Can i install wow on an external hard drive and play it off that, cause im runing out of space on my computer.

If you are going to install WoW to a external hard drive I suggest getting a eSATA external hard drive. There is a noticable drop in performance when trying to use a external USB drive to run games from.

With the most current launcher, it hasn't worked for me, even with the latest version of WINE.  What i would suggest, is apply the patches manually,( put them into your main WoW folder, run them from either the file manager, or from command line, and let them install.  While this is tedious, you need to apply the in sequential order, otherwise you'll run into problems.  After you have all the patches applied, just run the game from wow.exe, and skip the launcher, you can change all necessary settings either from in the game, or from the config.wtf file.

  • System-wide crashes, WoW at center

I was playing a Strand of the Ancients last night when WoW suddenly crashed. No new addons; the application had been stable for weeks or months. When WoW crashed, other programs I was running (Firefox, Word, etc) also crashed. I restarted and tried to run WoW, but it crashed before the load screen, and the debugger also seemed to crash, loading for a second and then disappearing. Several other attempts to load the game got me as far as signing in and getting halfway into loading Strand back up, but then WoW would crash again. I ran Disk Utility to repair permissions, and OS X crashed into the gray screen of death. After the hard reboot, I managed to repair permissions and to scan the disk, neither of which showed problems. I will scan them again to post the info here.
Several reboots have all ended in the same symptoms: the system runs fine until I try to open WoW, and then everything begins to crash all over again. At this point, I have uninstalled WoW in an attempt to reinstall, but after running the InstallWoW application Safari crashed, followed in several minutes by Firefox. All internet-based applications from browsers to the Curse Client fail, usually immediately. After an attempt to open WoW, Firefox will chain crash. Without having attempted to open WoW, it will run for 5-20 minutes between crashes.
For addons, I am running the full Auctioneer (latest edition and addition, about two weeks ago) along with DBM, Omen, Overacheiver, Pallypower (disabled), Quartz, and Recount. I use Curse Client to keep most of them up-to-date.
If you need more information than I have provided here, I will need step-by-step instructions on how to retrieve it. My ignorance is why I have not provided the Firefox and OS X crash reports.
Thank you, in advance, for your help.

  • [SOLVED] No sound in WoW in Arch 32

    Hello all,
Just finished a fresh install of Arch 32-bit, by following the wiki.  I installed Wine via the wiki, though not sure what to do for 32-bit vs 64bit since the wiki runs together, but I followed the best I could.
I have sound in VLC, but I do not have sound in WoW.  I know it works b/c I could play last week in arch 64, but since re-installing no sound in WoW.
I'm not sure where to look, in winecfg I have Alsa selected, and I am almost 100% sure I even tried OSS, though I'm at work and can't confirm.
    Any help is appreciated.

I wasn't sure I needed to install those for arch 32bit.  I don't remember having to install them when I had 64 bit, but I will give them a shot.
    Thanx
EDIT:  installed those two dependencies like you suggest, and all is working now.

  • Mac Pro + GeForce 8800 GT 512MB + WoW?

    Hi,
Does anyone got experience from using a Mac Pro and the graphics card 8800 GT 512MB for playing World of Warcraft? I currently play on a iMac 24" and can only run the game in mid-ranged settings. Which disappoints me.
    I want:
    - to play on a Macintosh in Mac OSX. I work in this environment too. I am not interested in dualboot with bootcamp.
    - to be able to maximize all graphical settings in WoW. Including some AA on a 23" inch display.
Can a Mac Pro with this graphic card handle this with decent FPS? Everything below 40 FPS is unacceptable.

This is an example log (I posted it in another thread too):

  • New MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard 10.6) Freezes while playing Portal, WOW, etc,

I have the new macbook pro that came out February 2011 with Mac OS-X 10.6, and I have encountered multiple problems with the computer running sluggish and freezing up in some applications. For example while playing Portal, the computer will get extremely hot and everything will freeze while the fan slows down, then it will come back, and about 5 minutes later it does it again. Same thing happens with WOW and I'm sure with many other applications. Even will run slow while watching tv on Netflix. It's ridiculous and unacceptable. Is there a news release with a factory defect or an update available to fix this overheating problem? Thanks

Is there a news release with a factory defect
Not that I am aware of. Check Google or call Apple Care as you are still under warranty.
or an update available to fix this overheating problem?
User Tip: How to deal with MacBook Pro and MacBook heat?
Per your user manual: Do not operate your MacBook Pro on a pillow or other soft material, as the material can block the airflow vents. Never place anything over the keyboard when operating your MacBook Pro. Never push objects into the ventilation openings.
From MacBook Pro: Care, Use, and Safety Information
For prolonged use, place your MacBook Pro on a flat, stable surface. Do not place your MacBook Pro on your lap or other body surface for extended periods of time. Prolonged body contact can cause discomfort and potentially a burn.
    with Mac OS-X 10.6
Use Software Update to update your os to 10.6.7 or you can go to Apple's download website to install the combo update. Also, update everything that is listed in Software Update that pertains to your computer.
Check WOW's website for updates or contact their customer service department and forums.

  • Wow, Acrobat Pro XI crashes constantly ...

I accidently posted this in the wrong forum, but here's my problem:
    Hey everyone,
I work with large PDF files (sometimes 1000 page documents) and I move pages from one PDF to another sometimes.  I've found that Acrobat XI pro is terrible with it's stability.  I am having the program crash probably 5 to 10 times per day.  It's pretty crazy because I probably had 5-10 crashes PER YEAR for Acrobat X pro.  I'm wondering if it's the new font flattening or whatever that constantly makes this happen?
Anyway, I've found it will constantly crash when you have the thumbnail pages on the left in view, and scroll through those thumbnail pics.  If I scroll through them fast (like rolling down a web page fast) then it crashes, and I mean constantly.  I have now adapted my use of the program to go slow - like "a 4 year old child might scroll down a web page" slow.  And it STILL CRASHES.  It's pretty shocking.
I don't mind, it's a huge pain but I can still work... BUT here's the thing.  If it crashes while you are writing something in a text box then it can RUIN all of your notes on the entire document.  The font is still there but it just turns into a bunch of XXXXXXXXXXX's with boxes around them.  I can manually go in and edit all of these and change the font from XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX's version to whatever, and the text will come back - but doing this in a 1000 page document with 2000 text boxes is NOT possible.
Very surprised to see such an unstable product come from Adobe.  I was going to let this slide until I saw that it has the ability to wipe out 30 hours of editing work via this crazy crash and turn all the font into XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.  It's not really acceptable to do stuff like this because you can wreck a whole work week (or even month if you have a huge document).  How is this possible guys?
Great improvements with the program as far as work flow, but it's all for naught if your program crashes multiple times per day.  I would recommend others stay away from this program if you are doing anything important that you don't want to lose.  Or if you are making important edits.
Want to know what I mean by XXXX's?  Here you go:
Imagine you have tons of edits on your document that used to be words and they become this font.  Imagine you have 100 hrs of editing work becoming this.  It could literaly cost you 50 hrs of productive time... just wow.
This has happened at least 7 or 8 times, luckily I was only working with under 100 edits and it only took maybe 30 minutes to clean up.  If it happened to one of my big documents I just might punch a hole through a wall.

Trust me, I use ZERO third party anything.  I reinstalled the program clean yesterday too.
I think the embed commands are probably part of the whole thing.  I don't 100% understand how it works, but I know that an edit eventually flattens out and becomes non editable text the normal way.
I don't always get the XXXX's, that problem is rare (<5% of the time).  But the crashing happens a lot.  Right now I have to use some big files because they are built to search through a huge file - so I'm kind of out of luck for that.  If I can possibly eliminate the edits on the thumbnails (all the text boxes and drawings) - I bet that would help.  I tried to keep the thumbnail previews closed and I think it was crashing 1/2 as often.  It still is terribly unstable.
I mean, XI crashed more in 1 day than I had X crash in a whole year.  That's pretty staggering.  Working with similar file sizes.  Maybe the trading of pages via thumbnails isn't stable, that's the only true new thing - and obviously the new text editing thing where they flatten out.

  • WoW Wireless USB Broken

I have had a WoW headset for a while and all of a sudden the sync is not working. Seems the button is not working pressing correctly so it is impossible to use. Does anyone have a similar problem with a fix or is it possible to purchase just a USB replacement?

  • WoW SB Tap Chat not working, not visible in Creative Audio Control Panel

I just received one of the new Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Tap Chat foot pedals and so far... it's not been a joy to use
The problem is that the device does not show up in the Audio Control panel (the creative panel) as a configurable device. I have the WoW wireless headset and it is on and active (otherwise the panel will not display). The Tap Chat is supposed to display on the list of options under Illumination, THX, Game Audio, Key Bindings and then the Tap Chat should be listed.
I'm running the latest drivers for the WoW headset (1.01.0001). Windows 7 64-bit. The audio control panel lists as version 1.00.05 (in the panel about screen).
During installation (reinstallation actually trying to fix the problem) the Tap Chat pedal is listed in the registration application, so I know it's installed correctly and IS visible to SOME creative apps (ie the registration app, not very helpful) but not the audio control panel.
I think it's either 1) the panel is an older version and does not know about the pedal (even though I've updated to the latest) or something else is fishy.
    Help welcome!
    Thanks,

I've already called your support group. They didn't even know that the product EXISTED. Nor did they have any idea what the problem is.
It's pretty obvious the problem is due to the device not being detected on 64bit systems (yes, I can see the device on a 32 bit machine).
So if anyone has Windows 7 64bit they are probably going to be sadly dissapointed with this device.
Also configuration only works if you have the WoW headset plugged in... which is really odd considering you don't need the headset to use the device once configured (you can use it anywhere without drivers since it is essentially a keyboard with only one key).

  • Msi GP70 2PE Leopard WoW lag

    Hello!
I have problem when i play World Of Warcraft my game sometime lag for 1-2seconds. I have optimazed my game in NVIDIA Geforce, i have latest updates for NVIDIA. I am playing also GTAV, and there is no lags at all, only on WoW, what is the problem?

Playing wow require more cpu usage . The sound that you meant could be the fan speed increasing due to rising temperature of cpu . You can check connection stability , power supply ,hybrid power setting been turned off when playing high-loading game or not .If the problem exists, you can try to lower the gaming performance .
