How (or is there a way) to do the following:
I have pdf files such as paper1.pdf, paper2.pdf, etc….
I want to create a word toc.doc file as follows:
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Click here for Paper 1
Click here for Paper 2
I then want to
a) Have everything rolled into one pdf file (ideally-who wants to send someone 100 seperate files)
b) Have the links open into a new pdf window (currently it opens in the same pdf window)

Adding the files to a single PDF is trivial. You can either drop them into the pages pane or use the Combine Files option.
Creating a TOC in Acrobat is a more complicated matter, since Acrobat is not a word processing application and does not have such a functionality built-in. It might be possible to achieve with a script that will combine the files and create the TOC.
I don't think the last point is possible since you can't open the same files multiple times.

Trying to update from 10.4.11 to snow leopard, the genius bar said I should be able to do this I only need 1 GB of RAM and I have 2 GB. I put in the SL disc and my Macbook pro spits it out. What do I do without needlessly spending more money to upgrade?

So this disc won't load. I recently bought a new ipod nano, but am unable to put songs on it without the latest version of itunes.
My Macbook Pro is 2008 and has 10.4.11 the guys at the genius bar said to upgrade to snow leopard to upgrade to lion and I shouldn't have a problem. I was told I need 1GB of RAM and I have 2GBs of RAM but the disc spits out every time after about 3 minutes.

You should certainly update it to 10.6.8 via software update. As for for upgrading, it depends on what Mac it is.
When you have installed it, run Software Update to download and install the latest updates for Snow Leopard to bring it up to 10.6.8, or download the combo update from here:

Check via Software Update whether further updates are required.
You should now see the App Store icon in iTunes, and you now need to set up your account:

However, I missed to mention that we have two set of users One is for Finished Goods and another for Spares.
Only Spares users need to be prevented from creating Direct/Manual Sales Orders in Oracle.
As you suggested, if this will be done at Form level, that may Disallow FG users also to create Manula Sales Orders which should not be the case.
Further, I tried to test one scenario through Processing Constraints but it did not work.

I travel all over the world, and so that is why I need one like that. It is unfair to the consumer, and frankly turning away customers like myself willing to pay high dollar to Apple for their product, who can I speak with to complain about this, because I know their are factory unlocked iPhone 4S' sitting in a warehouse somewhere just waiting to be shipped, and I want one. I know why, cause Apple signed contracts with each carrier so the carrier could increase their sales making customers sign 2 year contracts, I get it, I own my own business, but the delay of releasing factory unlocked ones is just not right and I should be able to buy one without having to buy it over in the UK where it is unlocked when it comes out right away, I should be able to buy it in my own country! These business practices we practice in the US need to stop, their is a demand that needs to be met with consumers like myself who don't need subsidized iPhone's with 2 year contracts with carriers and don't mine paying full price for an unlocked one, it is unethical in a sense, forcing the customer to buy it with a carrier contract and NOT giving the customer the option to buy it full price and own it themselves, OR, making the consumer wait a month for that option to be available. THEY SHOULD BE RELEASED AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!! THAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!!!!!!

I understand your frustration, but when any form of rationing is required you have to prioritise. The number of unlocked vs packaged phones will be quite small and the number of unlocked buyers wishing to upgrade immediately will be smaller still. Against this you have the corporations sharing $billions between them.

You have a password, so good move on your part. Whether you erase it or the thief does, they still get to use the iPhone as theirs. Which is more important (pick one), protecting your data or punishing the thief?
Ringing occurs at the carrier. Chances are you're going to voicemail after only two or three rings. If you have an iCloud backup also a good move. Re-read my question in the first paragraph.

We should be able to use the shift key or the command key to sync more than one project at a time. This goes for the "content" pane as well as the "folders" pane.

... I should be able to use iBooks. However, I can't. When I try to download the app I get the message that I must upgrade to iOS7 - but then Apple's website won't let me download that either. So far, I have managed to download a book to iTunes on my PC, but I cannot get it to sync with my iPod, although I have synced music, a video and a few other apps. I cannot seem to find a solution to my problems with iBooks or iOS7. Please advise.

Having the same issue here. I unfortunately purchased a book on iTunes, then went to download iBooks, but can't due to their recent update/upgrade. My kids iTouchs are all 6.1.5 , So I'm guessing that if you did not have iBooks previously purchased that you are now S.O.L. if you want to read a book on your iPod??
I am rather frustrated that I spent money on a book that they can't read.

I have to exclude a period (say 016) in the query by default. This I can do by just making 016 as "Exclude from selection" but the problem is user should be able to add if he wants.
In simple, By default 016 shold be excluded but user should be able to add.
Please let me know if u have solution.

In the 'default values' section of the query designer restrict to exclude period 16.
Ensure period is available in 'free characteristics'.
Once report is executed user can see exclude 16 in filter;he can remove it if needed.

We are facing a issue with the pre assigned headers assigned by Adobe acrobat Pro Xl.
Our actual requirement is as follows:
1. As we convert a PDF to DOC there shouldn't be any pre assigned headers (header levels defined).
2. DOC should be a normal Word document and we should be able to define the header style.
We have tried working out on the same but nothing is going our way.
We tried couple of step which are as follows:
1. Deleting pre assigned TAG's.
2. Clearing headers with the help of Touch Up Reading Order Tool (TURO).
Request you to kindly revert on the same.

You cannot control how Acrobat creates the word file.

The word file is a normal Word document file. You may wish it was designed for it to be easiest to edit. Acrobat is making a Word file to most reliably resemble the original pdf file. I have no trouble creating any header style I want. The text in the header frequently consists of text boxes. Acrobat does this to insure accurate representation of the pdf file.

I have created a request for this previously. I was hoping it wold be in the next release.

It only seems to work for the account you are connect to.
I would like to see it work more like TOAD in that you could specify a schema and see the layout of that schema without having to find the account for it if you have rights to the objects via SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE or SELECT DICTIONARY_ANY or whatever objects you have rights to..
This is good for admins who have dictionary rights but now the password of the schema or a person who has been granted rights to a particular set of objects..
Looks like I got to sign onto TOAD to do this one for now since I don't know the schema password..

PDFs and PDF Porfolios are not the same. We should be able to separately search for them.

AddressBook should be able to show me what groups a contact is in.

When I find or select a contact AddressBook should be able to visually show me which groups that contact belongs to. I'd suggest simply colorizing the group names or show me explicitly in the details for the contact which groups it belongs to.

Hold down the option key.
