WP8 Enrollment Error - This account isn't permitted on this phone
Hi,
I am trying to test MDM with SCCM and Windows Intune. I have so far:
- setup a test SCCM environment
- got a Windows Intune Trial subscription
- installed the
Support Tool for Windows Intune Trial Management of Window Phone 8 as instructed
- installed Windows Intune Connector on the SCCM Server
- set UPN of my users in my test AD Domain to @[mydomain].onmicrosoft.com (I have no public domain)
- installed DyrSync with Password Sync Option enabled and imported all my AD Users into Windows intune. The users belong to Windows Intune Group (they are enabled in Windows Intune)
When I try to enroll my WP8 by using any of the imported users (via Company Apps) I am getting the following error message:
"This account isn't permitted on this phone"
On the SCCM Server in dmpdownloader.log I am getting the error DeviceTypeNotSupported!?

Having used Intune successfully for several months I am now encountering this exact issue at a customer environment and within our own environment. The customer SCCM environment worked fine with the Windows Phone 8 trial pack, but has not worked since
we use a correctly signed company portal app.
Our own corporate environment never used the trial and has been working fine up until I had to rebuild my configuration manager server to SCCM 2012 R2 and all the logs look good, but I cannot enroll a Windows Phone 8 device. Same error.
I regard myself as highly skilled on Intune, being a microsoft partner and having achieved several implementations, demo's and re-installations of my own environment without a hitch in the past, but now, zippo. I can't get the customer devices enrolling
and I can't get my own device enrolled.
Oddly, before I re-attached my new SCCM 2012 R2 environment back to the Intune service, I COULD enrol my Windows Phone 8 device. Once I re-attached the SCCM 2012 R2 environment, I am now unable to do so. It is as though enrolment policy is not
being correctly populated/allowed. I have tried using UPN's of both the correct domain and the Intune (onmicrosoft.com) domain with matching Intune user - to no avail.

As Paul says, you cannot delete your current user name; just let it fade away ... however, you can give yourself another name and create a new account for Community Forums ... which you can use as your name from that point onwards.
As you have no points to lose that should not be too painful. It's not wise to cut yourself off from a very useful and free service. -
I have restored my iPod touch 4G to the iOS 4.3.5, then I tryed to update/restore with the iOS 5 and it pops an error saying my device isn't eligible for this build, how can I solve this issue?

This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194." If you receive this alert, update to the latest version of iTunes. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart. Also, using an older or modified .ipsw file can cause this issue. Try moving the current .ipsw file, or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw. -
I am updating iphoto 9.1 to 9.3 and every time when I clicked for update aps store asked to open it in the account where you purchased. I am using the same account and its available in the purchased item of this account. But in my purchased item library it indicates that you update iPhoto. I am not sure which account the aps store asking. Can someone resolve this problem.
Contact App Store support. They're the folks who can help with Account issues.

This happened after I was hacked.
If you delete that account from your iPad, all messages from it will be removed. You can then go back into Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars and 'Add Account' to add it back onto your iPad.

The circular arrow on one of my email accounts (I have three, and this is one of two googlemail accounts) goes around and around for 5 minutes or more with nothing happening and then a pop up says mail is going to quit - report to apple. Nothing has gone into this account for several weeks, and this is my 'business account'.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't help & you can afford to redo any Mail Rules...
Trash these files...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/... MessageRules.plist and MessageRules.plist.backup
Then if need be with the backup, Import emlx to mbox, See if this helps...

Guys am using an iphone 5s that is sealed new, and i tried to restore my backup from my itunes and it was restored a wrong backup that doesnt belong to me and it contains an icloud account, and i want to delete this account. Any help please.
This phone was new. And it was sealed from the box that was closed. And the backup was on my laptop. And this icloud account was saved by mistake on my laptop.

Itouch was plugged into new window machine moving from vista to window 7 and froze with itouch window showing the itune icon and usb cord photo on screen.
It will not reset with off and select button holds.
does not show up in the directory of windows vista or 7
does not show up in Mac directory or disk utiltity window
will try to go to restore on mac but I am still at 10.4.11
and i get the computer screen message:
iTunes[8143:10e2b]: server error (94): This device isn't eligible for the requested build.
and got a couple of pages of dianostic stuff when clicked on ask for details
ipod did show up in mac itunes window until it gave me the "go away" message, but the only choice it gave me was to update the ipod software
I do not need to update the os on my mac mini I am happy with it for as long this it lasts
Any help here would be greatly appreciated

I have followed one of your links to print cnfig in a run box and go down that path but it would not allow me to exit and restart without choosing quit On restart there was a cheer of hope from me apple found in itunes and it showed up in the device and printer window but after 10 min or so of restore it said it is stuck in recovery and I must fix that issue first
Yeah Bite my tongue did a second restore attemp and it syn'd to my itunes!! I put on the old tune do you believe in magic and it is playing!!

I have an iPhone 4S and when I try to add an iCloud account is gives me an error "Cannot Sign In, The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone." Is there any way to deactivate an account? I have one for myself, one for my family and one for my work. I had all three on my iphone and then I deleted my work. I wanted to get my own person @me.com account. It wouldn't let me create it from my iphone, so I created it from my Macbook Pro. I am trying to add it to my iphone, but it keeps giving me that error. If there is a way I can deactivate my work one so I can use my @me.com personal account?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer.
You should however be able to add existing accounts to your device, are you sure you aren't trying to create on rather than simply use an existing one. -

Sir, your Apple ID can be used as an iCloud account as well. They are both the same thing.

FBCJ Error - Enter a vendor for this accounting transaction
Dear Experts,
I am trying to enter expenses and I have mentioned Vendor Account No. in the Vendor field using splitting option with combination of Vendor Pay/Rec and All Expenses Business Transaction. But the document is not getting posted and giving the error - "Enter a vendor for this accounting transaction". But if I dont use split option it saves.
This problem I am facing for the last 2 days only. Can you suggest what could be the reason for this error.

I have gone to this website almost everyday for years and I have not changed anything in my internet settings, but now I'm getting this message: secure connection failed: The Certifying Authority for this certificate is not permitted to issue a certificate with this name. (Error code: sec_error_cert_not_in_name_space) The only thing I KNOW I did differently, was I installed a CAC reader to my computer, since then, this has been happening.
