Does a Lumia device with Windows Phone 8 automatically turn itself on for sounding the alarm?
My Nokia E51 did, as does my BlackBerry. But I noticed iPhones cannot. It saves power and you can be sure there is no radiation .

Try taking the battery out, put it back in and do not switch on, then see if your alarm wakes up the phone..
And no keeping the charger connected won't harm the phone. Also going to flight mode during night would minimize energy use and put the phone in a virtual sleep mode.
Proven or not, studies and experiments have set standards for safe levels of radiation, which are then set even lower to include extra security. Then the phone even comes in well within these levels so there is no issue here, besides if you turn on flight mode all radios are off..

I do not know how to set up an IMAP account in my shared hosting account with Plesk, which provides POP3/SMTP access to emails.
I am a Microsoft Partner, develop Microsoft based solutions, and genuinely like the Microosft platform. Still, after about 6 months and many hundreds of dollars later, I find myself running out of patience. How long should I be patient for a solution, when Nokia/Microsoft/T-Mobile will not give me a solution or be part of the process.
Microsoft Partner Support, as mentioned, told me this morning in response to a follow-up from yesterday that there is nothing else that they can do and that the situation is out of their hands. If it is out of their hands and they do not want to do anything about it, then what about me?
Should I bite the bullet, return the phone, and sadly jump onto the Samsung Galaxy S4 Android bandwagon? If I do that, I will feel cheated, as I really would like to use Windows. I kind of like the Windows Phone 8 interface. How long should I be patient?
Email is a big issue. I am sure that there are other issues too, just I am not aware of it left.
By the way, I never received an Portino update. The last update was the one that Microsoft gave back in November, which caused the problem in the first place.

I really am thinking that this 80004005 error is a deal breaker, which is so sad.
By the way, Nokia cannot do anything. Microsoft owns the OS and it is up to the carrier, T-Mobile USA in my case, to do something about the problem. Microsoft posts major updates, which causes breaks and annoyances. T-Mobile is resonsible for minor updates and fixes. T-Mobile, as you can tell by visiting t-mobile.com (as of 5/2/2013) is no longer interested in the Windows platform (okay Catwalk announced, but that has the same problem. Catwalk is a Lumia 922 or so, as I understand things). T-Mobile will not post an update. They never have, so why start now?

refresh the alaram table..they are processing normally.
Is there a way to refresh the alarm table automatically for every few minutes.?
I have checked the Best Practices Guide
Tuning

and com.oracle.bpel.threadPool.threadCount = 5
Does not help. What I am after is some way for an automatic refresh to be done say every 1hr or so.
Can this be done?? If YES, how??

I had a similar requirement a while back, since due to poor system config we also Wait timers not expiring on time. I couldn't find a method within BPEL console to do this automatically.
I'm not a Java developer, but at the time I did use google to and put together the following. I can't tell if it is working since there is nothing written in the BPEL logs to indicate the refresh. My plan was to develop a script to detect waits not expiring, and then to run the java (below).

Oracle automatic boot up

HI all,
10.2.0
I need to autmate oracle startup and shutdown upon system startup,For that I have written dbora script and it works well. However, at the same time it disbales password file authentication.ANy one can login as sys as sysdba and access the database.
How can automatic boot oracle and also prevent OS authentication?

Booting for the first time in my Lenovo G500

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to boot for the first time in my Lenovo G500. It starts with the logo of lenovo and then it goes to a black screen and it is saying that is loading FreeDOS and is asking to enter a new date, new time and then it says C:/> and nothing happens.
I put in the cd with Windows 8 drivers but i can't make it boot from the cd/dvd.
Anyone can help?

I’m sorry to hear that your G500 Laptop is booting to Black screen, I suggest you to change the Boot priority of CD/DVD drive 1st and HDD (Hard Disc Drive) to 2nd, below are the steps to access BIOS:
Turn OFF the computer and then click on NOVO button which is located at the left side of the computer.
Then under Boot tab change the CD/DVD as 1st boot and HDD to 2nd device.
Now press “F10” Key to save the changes, the computer will automatically restart.
Then check inserting the Disc and check the issue.
Do post us back if the issue still persists.

IdeaPad A1000L-F automatically boots to Android Recovery e3

I am currenlty working on a device, and I am stumped.
The device starts up, displays the Lenovo logo, then automatically boots to the recovery mode <e3>. I am unable to load a rom because when I tell it to load or update via SDCard, it utilizes the memory on the internal memory and not the external SD card.
I select reboot, and it locks up. I tried wiping data and rebooting. No success. I tried using the reset button beside the memory card. No success. I am unable to load the operating system, and unable to get root or even flash another image to the device.
Someone, please help....

If you can still access the machine and haven't wiped the drive, open the Mac App Store, log in to your Apple ID, and try to download Mavericks from there. If it works, make a bootable USB from the
Mavericks installer (google how to do this). Then boot to the USB wipe the drive and install Mavericks clean. And since it shoudl be associated with your Apple ID at that point you shouldn't have any issues.

If you use a virtualizer like Parallels Desktop or VMware or Virtualbox: goto system Preferences/ Account/ LoginItems and delete (- sign) the Virtualizer.
If you use Bootcamp: log into Windows, there disable autostartup with system start, there used to be a simple tool called startup.cpi which pops up in ControlPanel and that handles these things.

Automatic boot on 64 bits

some one have a ideia how i can do my os 10.6.1 automatic boot on 64 bits?

How did you measure your performance increase?
I don't have a 64-bit bench marking app & using a 32-bit app wouldn't prove a thing so, just like in the old days, I used a stopwatch.
I use 3 tests in both 32 & 64 bit modes. I repeated each step 3 times to get an average. I setup SL to log on automatically to the desktop for test #1. I used Activity Monitor to display the CPU cores during tests 2 & 3.
Test #1) Powered off & timed it from pushing the power until I saw the desktop. The difference between them was about 25%. Not bad.
Test #2) I copied the SL install DVD to a temp folder on my HD. The difference between them was only about 15%. Not Good. (the DVD interface IO is a hardware PIG & seriously needs a speed improvement so I pitched the DVD % out of the averaged score).
Test #3) I copied the SL install DVD in a temp folder on one internal HD to another HD. The difference between them was about 25%. Not bad.
So what really is difference here? The answer became obvious to me as I watched the CPU's 8 Cores at work. In 32-bit mode only 4 cores (2 per CPU) were used but in 64-bit mode all 8 cores were used. I also noticed that a core service called 'cvmsCompx8664' was being used by the System & the User as the translator for the 32-bit kernel but I didn't see in the 64-bit kernel mode.
What 64-bit programs are you using?
Just the Apple stuff that came with Snow Leopard because I do not trust 3rd party computer apps but that's a different story.

Automatic boot on power on...

At the ok prompt type;
ok> setenv auto-boot? true
in Solaris type;
#eeprom auto-boot?=true
This will work for your problem but will not automatically boot if the eeprom value for watchdog-reset is set to false, but this is a good idea as you want to know when the system has a problem.

I have not configured any of the Intel Management and Security, Small Business Advantage, Smart Connect software, just installed them.
The issues I get are:
1. JUSB1 connected and Resume From S3/S4/S5 by USB Device: Enabled in BIOS. When I shutdown the PC, it automatically boots 2-3 seconds later. If I set Resume From S3/S4/S5 by USB Device: Disabled or disconnect the JUSB1, the PC shutdown is fine.
2. Once the PC is shutdown OK, PC boots itself several hours later. Yesterday at 15:50pm PC was shutdown. At 21:18pm, PC automatically booted itself.
This is my first MSI and UEFI motherboard. What I would like is some advice on setting up the BIOS and the software to get sleep/hibernate working and no automatic boots.
I have contacted MSI regarding these issues, but they say they cannot reproduce them. I have subsequently googled these issues and of course, other MSI users are experiencing similar problems, but there are no obvious resolutions. Please can anyone help/advise?

I have the MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming mobo and perhaps similar problem as discussed in this thread.
I wanted to be able to wake my PC from sleep mode via my USB connected mouse and keyboard. Therefore I went into BIOS and set the "Resume from S3/S4/S5 by USB Device" to "Enabled". And yes, now it is possible to wake my PC from sleep mode by just clicking any button on my keyboard or just moving my mouse a little bit. So far so good. BUT, another feature was also added which I did not want to have: By just clicking any button on my keyboard or moving my mouse a little bit the PC also started after I have "shut it down"! This could seem as the PC boot by itself but it does not, I have to move the mouse just a little bit (by accident for example when needing more space on my desk) or clicking a button on the keyboard. I THINK THE ROOT CAUSE TO THIS PROBLEM IS AS FOLLOWS: In BIOS, it says "Resume from S3/S4/S5 by USB Device". Instead it should only be "Resume from S3 by USB Device". S3 is the same as "Sleep" and S5 is the same as "Soft off" = PC shutdown. Do you understand what I mean? When I shut down my PC it is put into state “S5”. (NOTE: I have another PC with MSI Z77-GD65 and here it only says "Resume from S3 by USB Device" and no problem with any starting of that PC via USB device from a shutdown state, it only starts from the sleep state (=”S3”) as I want. How do I get rid of the "S5" state in BIOS for this USB wake up feature? (Btw "S4" is hibernate state which is not the same as a shutdown PC, therefore not causing this problem.)
ADDED No. 1: Please read msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa373229(v=vs.85).aspx for explanation of the different system Power states I mention above.
ADDED No. 2: My Click BIOS version is 1.8 for Z87-GD65 with release date 2013-12-06. On a Youtube video I have seen that version 1.0 of this BIOS has Wake up "Resume from S3 by USB Device" and not ...S3/S4/S5...

Msi big bang xpower2 - only boots for 10 seconds, displays error b7

Hey guys,
As the title states. I am getting 'b7' on the error display which i read somewhere means 'no input devices detected', can someone confirm this? I have tried turning on the PC with 1 GPU, 2 GPU, and no GPU in different configurations but I get the same error each time. It just boots for 10 seconds, displays 'b7' and then restarts and does it all over again. Help would be massively appreciated as I need this PC for work :(

Just providing the name of your MB is not enough info. Please supply information for rest of your system, not knowing what kind of RAM, model CPU and other components mates it very difficult to help track down cause your problem.

There is the requirement from the client. They want to create one kind of purchase order for the Office Rent, then pay the fees in the certain time of every month to the vendor for the rent fees without any invoice. Whatu2019s the normal solution for this kind of purchase order? Is it ERS? Or something else?
Please give me the details and business flow. Also please tell me how to setup in the SAP and T-code.

Either you can set up ERS or you can pay directly from the FI side.
Prerequisites
Evaluated receipt settlement must be flagged in the purchase order item.
The vendor must be flagged as being subject to ERS in the vendor master record.
The goods receipt must refer to a purchase order.
Goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification must be defined for the purchase order item.
A tax code must have been maintained in the purchase order item.
The order price of the materials may not be an estimated price.
If you flag a vendor as being subject to ERS, the system sets the ERS indicator as a default in each item when you create a purchase order for the vendor. You can prevent this happening for certain vendors by flagging the info record for the material and the vendor as not being subject to ERS.
In Purchasing, you can delete the default ERS indicator in a purchase order item.
Choose Logistics Invoice Verification ® Automatic Settlement ® Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS).
The selection screen appears.
You can use the following criteria to narrow down selection of the transactions to be settled:
Company code
Plant
Goods receipt posting date
Goods receipt document
Fiscal year of the goods receipt

GR/IR Automatic Clearing for Different Business areas items

we have different business areas, and some times we create a PO for all business areas and invoice it in a specific business area
in F.13 automatic clearing:
for GR/IR account
Documents with different business area cannot be cleared.

but in F.13 :
- the document cannot be cleared when >>> selecting GR/IR account special process.
if we treat GR account as a normal GL account, I mean without selecting GR/IR account special process.
the document can be clear
i want to be able to clear the document with selecting GR/IR field ( is it possible )
and if it is not allowed, do we will face a problem by clearing GR account without selecting GR/IR parameter ??
