WPA - adding the shared key to XP Home?

Question

I'm using WPA security on a client computer with Win XP Home (not XP pro). I'm failing to get a connection. It works just fine with WEP, therefore the connections are correct; however, WPA doesn't work and this is because the client seems to only support WEP! This is my WPA key as stated by my Linksys:

Inputting the WPA shared key in the WEP column doesn't work and tells me it needs to be 5 or 13 characters ascii or 10 or 26 characters hexadecimal. Can anyone tell me where to add my WPA in Windows XP Home? Thanks =).

Ahh okay, I figured it out. I tried installing the latest network drivers, but that didn't work. Instead, what DID work was installing service pack 2, thus enabling the option to change my connections network security. I only had sp1 installed because I reformatted the hard drive earlier.
Personally I think this is dumb on Microsoft's part. How do they expect a person without Internet to get sp2?..... Purchase the sp2 disc? The way I got around it was temporarily enabling WEP mode via my router and client connection, getting the sp2 update, then switching the router and client to the now enabled WPA mode; however, this was a major hassle imho.
