WPAD:80....??? What's that about???

My ipad was working fine this morning and then all of a sudden starts asking for a wpad:80 user name and password..... tried normal Apple ID and nothing clears it.
Won't let me connect to the internet....
Also when I try and access TV content via Videos comes up with
The Operation couldn't be completed. (NSURLEErrorDomain error - 1013)

HI there Annette, I Movie. Its a little more intricate, but gives a lot more options. I usually always do my slideshows in there. As far as the I Photo slideshow. Once you have your album photos and after you click the slideshow icon at the bottom, go to the settings icon. Once you are in there, you have a lot more options. I just kept changing them till I have what I wanted. Then go to the music icon and you can import some songs. If you want more than one song, First make a play list in I Tunes, with the desired songs. when you open the music icon, than all you have to do is select the playlist, not the individual song. I happen to like the Ken Burns effect. So if you want to have that motion you will have to adjust each photo so nothing gets chopped off. I also do not scale photos to fill screen, as that always chops off something. Just keep doing it till you get what you like. okey doke. I always print directions as well, than I can look while I do. PS. If you do not want Ken Burns, do not click it in the settings tab, leave it unchecked. If you do want it on some photos, there is another icon at the bottom near the settings, that you can add him to individual Pics.

You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud. Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.

I simply restored my iPhone from most recent iCloud backup. Poof. Good to go!!!

Usually, where there are issues like that, it has to do with incompatible programs that may be loaded at system startup. So, in System Preferences, look at your login ID, and login items, and see if any programs listed there should be updated to run with Snow Leopard. While in System Preferences, look at the bottom of the window where you may find some programs listed also. Check them too.

Problems with credit card or removed credit number and itunes doesn't let you update/download already purchased items - what is that about?!

I took my credit card number off b/c I was having problems with it and I was waiting for a new card , and itunes would not let me update and already purchased apps and TV seasons! What is that all about?!

I just called the 1-800-My-Apple and the said there is really nothing they can do about it. They said I had an outstanding payment of $8.54 (or something like that), I said I know b/c of the problem I am having with my bank, but NO previous completed purchases should have anything to do with this outstanding payment . It should not keep me from being able to update or download previously completely paid apps, TV Shows, or movies - they are mine, and I paid for them. I submitted a complaint.. that just isn't right!

Jackie, this usually happens when the number that was texting you was blocked or unavailable. The billing system uses your own number as sort of a placeholder. It could be another reason, but as far as I know, that's the reason.

Most songs come up with a message "unable to locate original file".What's that about and how do I fix it?

In my library, many listed songs, when activated to play, give a message "unable to locate file, do you want us to search for it?". If you say yes, it never finds it, as it the songs are gone. Any thoughts on what's going on?

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

I got (horrible) adware add-on (MacGlobalDeals) packaged with my update to latest firefox version; what is that about?

Why on earth is there an invasive adware plug in that takes over every page I open and opens new tabs without asking packaged automatically into the latest update of Firefox for Mac? I've been a staunch Firefox user for years, and this is the first thing that has seriously made me consider switching away. I *think* I got rid of the ads (some of them with images bordering on porn) by blocking and removing the add-on through the Tools menu and then restarting Firefox, but I'm afraid it's still somewhere on my computer and going to get into things. It makes me want to wipe my computer down and reinstall everything from backups - and then switch to Chrome. Please tell me this is an error that will be rectified? It's not okay.

James - I got it from the mozilla site, because I'm not stupid enough to download from unknown sources, and I haven't downloaded anything else recently. I agree that it would be a stupid thin for Mozilla to do and that I had a very hard time believing it. That's why I posted. I'd be happy to believe some other explanation, especially since that one makes no sense.
So please tell me: if I got it from the official website, and I haven't downloaded or updated any other applications in weeks, how did I get this suddenly showing up right after I downloaded Firefox? I can't print as pdf File. I'm missing some adobe distiller program. What is that about?

Since I updated to Mac OS Lion (10.7.1) I have trouble to print as pdf file. The system requires an adobe acrobat distiller. I can't find it anywhere.

This morning my forum name changed. I don't like it. It's freeking me out almost as much as the Green LED on my DVD player. It's just not right.

In an ideal world, where money is of no importance, bigger is probably best. However, most people live in the real world where there are financial constraints.
If you are a video professional whose very survival is at risk, you will naturally get the "best and biggest".
However, if saving a few seconds here and there is not so important you will reach a compromise.
Look at the equipment I am using. Prehistoric ! Yet it happily runs FCE 3.5 and FCP 5.1.4. Admittedly it won't let me use Color or Motion.
The cheap MBP should be easily capable of handling everything you require.
Incidentally, if video is just a sideline, you may be better off getting FCE 4 for about a fifth the price of FCS 2. It is the same program minus a few of the unnecessary bells and whistles and less the extra applications of the FCS suite.

I am having a similar problem. When I start iTunes and then start Paradise Poker, all of my music plays in FF. If I start Paradise Poker first, I have no problem with itunes. I checked my playback rate and I have no third party plug-ins.

Did you customize the download location? This often happens when users select their Program Files folder which the Adobe Download Assistant does not have permission to write too.
Have you tried clicking on the cancel button within the Adobe Download Assistant?

Do you mean command+tab? If so, the window that comes up is the application switcher window. Continue holding down command, while pressing tab to switch between applications (release tab when the application that you want to activate is highlighted).
Option (Alt) + Tab is not a standard OS X shortcut.
