WPC Content inside Dynamic Navigaiton

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement, where I need to display WPC content inside Dynamic Navigation. We are using NW Portal 7.4 SP 8
I am using the below approach to display WPC content in content area as well as dynamic navigaiton. With the below mentioned approach, I am able to reterive content on Content Area and not in Dynamic Navigation.
1. Use the iView (Portal Applications à com.sap.nw.pcc.mgr à default ) inside the page, on the required area (content / dynamic ) navigaiton.
2. Provided the property "Path to runtime page" with the WPC page ID on the iView. "pcd:com.sap.portal.system/pcc/rt_content/com.sap.portal.pcc/StagingAreaId".
Please let me know, if its possible to display WPC content in Dynamic Navigation.
Thanks & Regards,
Palani

    Dear Krishnakk,
    You can find the Web Content folder under KM tab for the WPC.
    Please refer to help.sap.com for more details. [Click Here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/45/3fe7b4f34d4a18e10000000a114a6b/content.htm]

  • Unable to refer to custom resource bundle in WPC content rendered with xslt

    Hi,
    I need to use the resource bundle messages inside WPC content.
    When rendered by standard xsl templates the  call to XSLTHelper class is done to retrieve message from the standard SAP resource bundle com.sap.nw.wpc.bundles.core.properties, like this:
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
                         xmlns:wpc="com.sap.nw.wpc.km.service.editor.hslt.XsltHelperCore">
    <xsl:value-of select="wpc:getString([key defined in sap bundle], string(/document/@locale))"/>
    The problem is that helper class doesn't provide any API to use custom bundles.
    I tried to create xslt helper (including config in KM), but that didn't succeed neither. It would return with error NoClassDefFound.
    Could you please help on configuring xslt helper and registering it with xslt rendering engine for Web Page Composer? I could not find any how-to guides on xslt helpers for WPC.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Using Desktop Filter IDs with WPC Content

    Hi All-
    I'm migrating our 7.0 WPC content to Portal 7.31 and have run into an issue with one of our roles. We have a desktop that uses Filter IDs to control the entry points. When I create a connection to a WPC area inside this role, and add the filter ID to the connection the WPC Area content does not show in the navigation. If I add a new folder to the role as an entry point with the filter ID, then add a WPC connection to that folder the folder shows in the navigation but the WPC content does not render. The error is "
    Page not found. Refresh the page or try again later. If the problem persists, contact your Portal administrator for assistance.
    Here are the scenarios I tried:
    #1:
    Role
    >New connection to WPC Area (set as entry point and filter ID assigned)
    [no navigation node gets displayed here]
    #2:
    Role
    >New folder (set as entry point and filter ID assigned)
    >>New WPC connection (not set as entry point)
    [folder displays in navigation but errors on WPC content]
    #3:
    Role
    >New folder (not set as entry point but filter ID assigned)
    >>New connection to WPC Area (set as entry point and filter ID assigned)
    [no navigation node gets displayed]
    Can someone tell me how to accomplish using filter IDs with WPC content?
    thanks in advance.
    Tim

    It turns out this has nothing to do with the FilterIDs. The fix is to assign end user permissions on the Area in Area Management. Once that is set the role that contains the filterID works as expected.

  • WPC content for anonymous user

    Dear SDNites
    We have recently started a project in which we are using Web Page Composer(WPC) for web content development. We have configured the WPC content for anonymous users. After the configurations, anonymous users could access this content without entering any user id and password. But after the restart of the portal, it started prompting login screens even for the anonymous users.We have checked all the required configurations and these seem fine to me. Can you please help me on how to resolve this issue?

  • InContext editing error: This region contains content with dynamic behavior added..

    We just set up a web site with InContext editing following the procedures in Business Catalyst documentation to do that. But now when we go to the administration section of the site, and turn on InContext editing, it won't let us update the text. We receive an error message:
    "This region contains content with dynamic behavior added..."
    Does anyone know what causes this problem, and how to fix it?

    Hi,
    InContext Editable (ICE) regions can only contains static areas like text and static  assets, it cannot wrap around javascript – populated areas or dynamic content like slideshows. (most likely causing the error)
    ICE can edit only static page content such as regular HTML content. It cannot edit any element that is dynamically updated for example a div (or another element) which is manipulated (created or its contents are modified) by JS– populated areas or dynamic content like slideshows. It cannot edit menus, content holders or content outputted by system modules or tags either.
    By default, on a page that has no ICE editable regions defined the editor attempts to find any regions you might want to edit and if possible make them editable. If it does not find the correct regions you want to edit you will need to explicitly define some editable regions.
    Refer to this article on Defining InContext Editing editable regions - http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/838/cpsid_83855.html?bc-partner
    Hope this helps!

  • Problem in transporting WPC Content

    Hi,
      I am facing  problem in transporting WPC Content from server1 to server2. After transport the webpages are not displaying the contents. Webpages are showing empty layouts. I have done the layout configurations. Webpages are cotaining iViews and Html contents from KM . The webpages are not allowing to edit. Its very urgent.Help me to get through this.
    Regards,
    Mallini.V

    Hi MaliniV,
    Before you transfer the WPC content from one server to another, you need to be very careful about the settings and configurations. Did deply the WPC on the other server ? Did u do any custom page layouts in development server ? if yes, you need to do the same in production server as well. if not , it won't work.
    I too had the same problem before. but ! after checking all these , I corrected them.
    I hope this will help u.
    Thanks

  • FavoriteFolder, how to get the content inside this folder

    Hi
    I have to get with the Java api consumer the content inside the favorite folder. How can i get it?
    i write this code:
                   String searchQuery = search://{'guaglanto1'}?SearchKeywords=true&SearchExact=true&SearchCaseSensitive=true;
                   ResponseHolder rh = boBIPlatform.get(searchQuery, null);
                   InfoObjects myFav = rh.getInfoObjects();
                   if (myFav == null || source.getInfoObjectArray().length == 0){
                     result="No terms matching the following search query could be found: " + searchQuery;
                             return result;
                   result ="";
                   for (InfoObject infoObject: myFav.getInfoObjectArray()){
                     result= result+ infoObject.getName() + " has CUID: " + infoObject.getCUID()+ " type "+ infoObject.getKind() + " has childreen "+ infoObject.getChildrenObjects();
    Where guaglanto1 is the title of the favoriteFolder.This code show the CUID,name,kind and children of the favoriteFolder.  Now i want to navigate this folder and get its content (i see from InfoViewApp there are 5 web intelligent report inside the favorite folder) but i don't know how can i get that.
    Anyone can help me to resolve this problem?
    thank you
    best regard
    Andrea

    once you get the SI_ID or SI_CUID of the favorites folder you need to write an additional query to pull all its children using:
    select * from ci_infoobjects where si_parentcuid='<si_cuid of favorites folder>'
    If the favorites folder contains folders with subfolders, this will be a recursive call. You can use query://{select....} or path://
    Look at the BIPlatform documentation in API reference and there is more information on how to use query:// or path://

  • Spry:Content and Dynamic Spry Data

    Is there a way to get the spry:content attribute to work well
    with dynamic data generated from PHP/MySQL? I have read the
    progressive enhancement article and I am totally lost on it.
    The provided examples in the documentation deal with static
    data but there are so example of using spry:content and dynamic
    data.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    Hi Arnout
    These are the urls:
    http://www.grafikkaos.co.uk/pages/front/test_home.php
    - this one displays the spry:content properly, but in the source,
    it does not show the 5 articles.
    http://www.grafikkaos.co.uk/pages/front/test_home_2.php
    - I applied a PHP repeat region here. In the source, it shows 5
    articles being shown but on page view, each title and date is
    repeated 5 times.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • BAM. Track message payload inside dynamic send port

    Somehow Biztalk 2010 BAM fails to track message payload inside dynamic send port. Messaging properties and Context properties (from our own property schema) are tracked correctly.
    I'm using XMLTransmit with specified document schema property on the send port, but this does not help.
    Tracking the same properties on Receive port is successful.
    What could cause this kind of behavior?

    I do not use ESB. There are only simple send ports. I have been trying to track message payload either from static and from dynamic sen ports. In both cases it does not track anything (only null values).
    I've trying with simple solution: one send and one receive ports. No mapping or other stuff. Tracking profile had the same fields set, both with two ports mapped: one send, and one receive. Receive port line is filled with correct values from message, while
    send port line stays empty (null).
    What could cause such behavior?

  • CAn't get background to contain content inside it .

    I am wondering why the background box in this test page
    http://www.aami.org/dev/tgs/template.htm
    is not containing the content inside of it.
    have created a "container" which sets the background and
    that contains the masthead and a div tag "wrap" which contains the
    two divs "sidebar" and "content". Why isn't the background
    expanding to fit the content?
    I have attached the relevant CSS.

    Hello,
    You didn't clear the floats, so they aren't contained in the
    wrap div.
    CSS:
    .clearfloat {
    clear:both;
    height:0;
    font-size: 1px;
    line-height: 0px;
    HTML:
    </ul>
    <!-- InstanceEndEditable --></div>
    <br class="clearfloat" />
    </div>
    </div>
    <div id="footer">
    I hope that helps.
    Take care,

  • LifeTime tab not visible for WPC content

    Hello,
    For any WPC content if we go to Details -> Properties, there is tab called Lifetime where we can set from when to when this content is valid.
    Some how it is not visible for any of my content in my new installation. I am using Portal 7.0 SP16.
    Point will be awarded to resolve this issue.
    Also I wanted to ask does this LifeTime means content should be unavailable after the Expiry period we set here, correct?
    regards,
    Jaish

    I went to SAP Tech Ed in Las Vegas and came to know that there is bug in WPC for this so they removed this feature in SP16 of Portal 7.0. This is why I was not seeing this after the version update.

  • No style applied when using light framework and WPC content

    Hi,
    Iu2019m facing a strange behavior, and Iu2019m almost pretty sure that is an error in the WPC, but I decided to post it here, maybe someone can confirm it. When using both, Light Framework and WPC, for some reason, the text inserted in the WPC containers, using the Web Forms, doesnu2019t appear correctly (no style/font applied), but viewing the same information, using the Default Framework Page, it works correctly.
    Any hint?
    Thanks and Regards,
    John

    Hi,
    The reason why I decide to use Light Framework, itu2019s because Iu2019m creating an EFP, and Iu2019m using the WPC to publish the content (articles, news, and link list), using the standard Web Forms.
    The problem is, after adding to a WPC Page something so simple like an article (using the Web Form Article), no Portal iView, HTMLB or other stuff included, the preview of the WPC Page using the Default Framework Page is ok, but when using the Light Framework Page, the text in the article doesnu2019t have the correct font-family. It looks like there are some styles missing in the Light Framework Page, that WPC content is expecting.
    Thanks and Regards,
    John
