WPC: dropped iView is invisible and show red ("broken") assigment
Hi,
we are running NW7 SP14 and checking out WPC features.
Trying to embed PDC iViews in I get an error: the container becomes flat after dropping the iView onto it and no more action for this container will be possible.
Executing "Check assignment" will display the iView link in red state with a paper basket symbol. Pressing the basket symbol the iview will be removed from container an editiinng will be again possible.
The given guid for the iview is valid (e.g. wpc_iview_a1@/guid/308c1ee3-b5c5-2a10-18a9-82766f6fde2d). I am able to launch it in a single window using http://<portalserver>:<serverport>//irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/guid/<guid>
AFAIK all initial config tasks for WPC should have been done.
Is there someone who had this problem before and solved it?

Is the ice_service user configured to access the PCD with at least end user permissions?
A quick check is to add the super_admin_role to the ice_service user and see if it works. If so then the ice_service needs to be added to a group (e.g. the Everyone group) which is then assigned enduser access to the iViews/areas of the PCD you want to use in the WPC (and the super admin role removed).

My thumbnail is blank and shows a broken document
I'm using PE 7.0 and something strange has begun to occur lately (I didn't have that problem in the past).
I'm trying to resize an image by selecting Image/Resize/Image size and I enter 800 X 600 pixels. Then I do Save as... by giving a new name and choosing the JPG format with a Quality 7 (medium) in the JPG Options. Then I close the image in the Editor and move to the Organizer to find that my new thumbnail is there but it is blank (not showing my photo) with a little picture in the center representing a kind of broken document. And when I click on that new blank thumbnail with the right button of my mouse and try to open it in the Editor, I get an error message saying someting like the file is incorrect.
Did someone ever have this kind of problem? I need advice and help please...You got it, dj_paige!
I was resizing images and was adding a period in the name without realizing that would cause me problems... I really did not understand what was going wrong. I couldn't imagine it was something that simple that I was doing wrong. You made my day, thank you so much dj_paige! -
I dropped my iPad 3 and it caused the screen to go red and fizzy with like static, so I went online to find a soultion. The most common one and the one that worked the best for everyone else, tapping the back/front. I did this but this only caused it to become more broken, now all it shows is a black or gray box thing moving across the screen only half-way and then teleporting back to the left side of the screen. What can I do?
Sounds like a hardware problem. You need to contact Apple.
Here are some things that you can try but I don't want to give you any confidence.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -
HR iViews are not getting displayed and showing "Page can not be found".

I am facing an issue in the EP 7 wherein all the standard HR iViews are not getting displayed and showing "Page can not be found".
We have added S_SERVICE autorisation object to user used for the relative JCO as well by looking at other similar forums but that did not help.
I have attached last part of log from file application.log under "F:\usr\sap\EP1\JC01\j2ee\cluster\server0\log"

This issue is now resolved. We followed up with SAP and they suggested to update the component EP-PSERV to latest patch which was earlier to patch 1. Later on we upgraded it to patch 4 and this resolved the issue.

You broke it, you will need to get it serviced or replaced. The drop voided your warranty so you would have to do an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple.

I crated web parts in the sub-sites (we have about 10 subsites) using sharepoint designer from a main list in another site. Then used web part to show only the ubsite's reports - using connection to the main list. Problem is, the connection
is dropping off and showing all the reports on the main list that are confidential. this has happened 3 time lately. Could someone explain why it happens some times? I had to fix it by adding the web part again and connecting it

If you want to use a top level site "department" list column in all sub-sites, you can go to top level site and create a
lookup type "Site column" to look up the value from the department list, then all sub-sites can use this lookup type site column created in top level site.

I cannot hear any songs or movies from my laptop speakers - the headphone port works and a red light is showing from the port? The output sound settings are showing as digital optical only? I used the headphones in the laptop for the first time yesterday and have had this problem ever since. Any ideas
The internal switch in the audio output port is stuck. Try inserting the earphone plug a few times. If no success, try jiggling a tooth pick inside in order to trip the switch.. If still no success, have the technicians at the Apple store genius bar do it for you.

About a month ago i bougth Canon EOS 600 D with 18-55 mm and 55-250mm lens and everything goes fine i capture moon images and wildlife pictures as well.
But, now i'm facing some problem with it.
Recently i was trying to capture images with my Canon EOS 600 D and suddenly i noticed that the images are not sharp at all and the images show red and blue spot. I don't know what to do i'm just an ammature in this.

Go to Solution.If you're taking shots of just the moon then the exposure value won't change all that much day to day. I recommend shooting in full manual, use the same settings that you used that gave you images you liked as a baseline. Low iso, nice middle aperture, and adjust shutter speed to fine tune the exposure. The next day you start at the same settings and adjust the shutter speed slightly if needed to account for a change in brightness. Good luck, have fun.

I have used my iphone 6 for about a month. It asked me for an upgrade of ios to 8.1.3, and know it shows red screen, itunes and apple logo in a infinite loop. My early 2011 Macbook Pro on start up has wifi, but drops it soon after and never comes back, AHT shows nothing wrong. Multiple wifi's tried and same on all. I have also re-installed OSX from scratch and still happens.
I have the same problem. I have a white macbook 2010, with mavericks os. I just found my mac not powering on and then I tried to run it on safe mode by holding the shift button but it will turn off seconds after I let go of the shift button. I am able to access the desktop and use it while holding the shift button the whole time. It's a bit slower than before but I figured maybe it's because of holding down shift button.
I went to the Apple Store to have them look at my mac and I was told it's a failed hard disk. I wasn't told why he was able to conclude that a failed hard disk is causing the problem, I was just told to get a replacement. But the thing is when I ran Disk Utility it says, "disk appears to be okay." So I also feel like it's possible it's not a hard disk issue because it's also the first time it happened. My mac was working perfectly fine before all this.
Do you know anything else that could cause this problem? Were you able to find out what's wrong?

My ipad 2 suddenly show red screen during start up and on ordinary screen show red colure fill the screen , I think it is hardware problem mostly screen. This problem didn't happen after fall or only accident ,what shall I do ?
You could try a reset and see if that fixes it : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it doesn't then you could try restoring to your last backup and/or resetting back to factory defaults. But if it's a hardware issue then you will need to contact Apple. -
I dropped my ipod touch and now it will only charge to 20%. It does turn on and the screen I get shows me a picture of a USB cord and a cd with a music note on it that says itunes under it. What does this mean?
