Write /read ini cluster limits / ogtk

Hello,
Some one kows what is the limit with  "write  read ini cluster " from ogtk
i tried with array of cluster and it works well, but with with  composite cluster that report an error.
i create a composed cluster definie in vi attached , it reach to write and file seems to be well defined
but i don't succeed to read it after it send me error message.
best regards
important to read file "palier" palier.txt have to be rename in palier.cpt  else you can create one using write palier.vi
path is code in hard so you have to change path to your proper path in read palier.vi

    I've got the same problem - it takes from 4 to 20 SECONDS to write and read 2 ini file clusters.
    The first cluster I write have a few text strings, an error cluster and some numbers.
    The second is an array of clusters (I loop through the array and writes each cluster separately.) containing some text and numbers, most of it contained in sub-clusters.
    With 0 or 1 element in the array it takes around 4 secs to write and read this to ini file. With 20 in the cluster this takes 20 seconds (on a cFP-2120).
    The openG functionality here is quite nice, but if I can't fix this time problem I'm afraid its quite useless!

  • Write/ Read Keys problem

    hi all,
    I am looking for your advise for the attached vi for writing/ reading keys.
    Facing problem:
    Since the input/ output is of cluster of mixed control types, I am having problem to write & read all settings correctly. I am sure that I must have missed out something IMPORTANT
    I have tried indexing "TypeDesc" to Variant's "Type" input as well as Fixed it DBL/ I32. However, both methods do not seem working well. I am still having problems with "Use Dirty Transmitter"(Boolean) and "arrays" types.
    Any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

    Hi Ian.f,
    I always welcome the chance to help a fellow enthusiast. Unfortunetly I think I will be of limited use.
    First let me say that the best resource to answer this question is probably Jeane-Piere Drolet becuase I think he has cracked this nut in some of his code from "OpenG".
    That being said, let me do what I can for now. There are a number of issues that are hitting you. First is the arrays. You are currently reading them as a variant and attempting to convert (this is where Jeane-Piere may be able to help). The data is coming to you as a variant because the array of refnums for the cluster are generic types that handle all data types. If you use a "to more specific" node you can convert these nodes to the actual class of data used. The complication them becomes "which tpye do I convert which ref to?" Agian I think Jeane-Piere has got this figured.
    I have accomplished what you appear to be attempting in a more specific fashion. I will try to outline my approach below.
    1) Make the cluster a strict type def. My appraoch usese the same cluster in more than one place and this will simplify support.
    2) Instead of using refnums to the individual cluster elements, use a refnum for the entire cluster.
    3) When trying to update the cluster, update the ENTIRE cluster. I have not figured out how to update just a part of a cluster using control refs.
    4) When trying to save use a "unbundle" by name to break-out your parts and save them as required for each type.
    5) For the arrays I will create a new section for each array. In that section I will have at minimum a field called "number_of elements" or similar. This filed will get the array length. If there are elements in the array, I will start writing them as "element1",..
    This gives me enough data to put things back together at restore time.
    I am curious how you end up solving this challenge. I have successfully written code that will automatically locate all of the controls and indicators on the front panel of a VI of my choosing and save/restore them from file BUT, it does not support the complex data types like clusters and arrays. I still have to do these explicitely.
    I will watch this question to see if I can help or learn more.

  • Reading 'ini files'

    I need to write code that reads 'ini files', I would like to know If anyone has a sample or can guide me how to approach this task.
    Thank you

    If you have an ini file with values like :Thank you for your prompt reply. You got me intrigue, By any chance do you know where can I get more information about property files?
    Thank you for your help.
    value1=test
    value2=another test
    You can read the values by doing :
    Properties props = new Properties();
    FileInputStream fis = new
    FileInputStream("D:\\test.ini");
    props.load(fis);
    fis.close();
    String value1 = props.getProperty("value1");
    // etc .........................Note : Unless there is some specific reason you should
    use a properties file and not an ini file.

  • WAAS Mobile Cluster limitation

    Hi,
    i want to design a wass mobile cluster solution.
    currently i have a single cluster (Single site) comprised of two servers (primary and backup) in my main data center  which is working.
    i want to increase my backup by installing additional single server in each of the 3 backups data centers.
    meaning, at the end i need single cluster comprising of 5 server which only one server acting as the primary. servers are not on the same LAN - need cluster over L3 WAN.
    each data center gives me the same applications and data so no worry on that thing.
    the question is can i do it ?, what is the cluster limitations ?
    thanks,
    Avi.

    Hi Avi,
    Yes you can configure redundant servers within a farm and redundant server farms in different data centers. A farm may contain a single server or multiple servers.

  • Write/read image to avi file, VI works incorrectly from the second run

    Hi everybody, in my labview I write image from IMAQ USB to avi file and read image from avi file, the VI runs correctly at the first run then after that it goes wrong, I can write/read only one frame and it terminates automatically. Does anybody know why and how to solve this?
    Thanks a lot,
    Hannah

    Without seeing your code I can't comment specifically, but if it runs correctly the first time and then stops be looking for something that is not getting reinitialized correctly. Also what exactly do you have to do to get it to work again? Close and reopen the VI? Restart LV? Restart the computer?

  • Read from cluster table ZL-PCL2

    Hi all,
    I need to read cluster table ZL that stores wage type for pernr. Now previously i was suggested
    FM 'CU_READ_RGDIR'
    FM 'CD_RED_LAST'.
    FM 'PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT'. But i want to use the statement
    Import from database.
    i have included the file RPC2ZL00.
    then the statement
    Import ZL to ZZL from database PCL2(ZL) ID ZL-KEY.
    Now does anyone have idea abt ZL-KEY??
    means what value i need to feed in ZL-KEy and how do i feed it??
    thanks in advance for all those who help me..
    Reena

    Hi Reena,
    Key is the combination of Pernr & sequence no., which u see it from report display payroll result(HINCLSTR) or RGDIR table.
    Instead of Import statement You can also use macro as below .
      CALL FUNCTION 'CU_READ_RGDIR'
           EXPORTING
                PERSNR          = PERNR-PERNR
           TABLES
                IN_RGDIR        = RGDIR
           EXCEPTIONS
                NO_RECORD_FOUND = 1
                OTHERS          = 2.
      CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
      PAY_BEGDA = SEL-BEGDA.
      LOOP AT RGDIR WHERE SRTZA = 'A'  AND VOID = SPACE
                      AND  ( PAYDT >= SEL-BEGDA AND PAYDT <= SEL-ENDDA ).
        IF RGDIR-RUNDT >= PAY_RUNDT.
          MOVE RGDIR-RUNDT TO PAY_RUNDT.
          PAY_BEGDA = RGDIR-FPBEG.
          SEQNR = RGDIR-SEQNR.
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
      RX-KEY-PERNR = PERNR-PERNR.
      UNPACK SEQNR TO RX-KEY-SEQNO.
      <b>RP-IMP-C2-RU.</b>
      CHECK RP-IMP-RU-SUBRC = 0.
    Read the cluster table
      LOOP AT CRT.
      ENDLOOP.
      Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Sarika.

  • I2C Write/Read Error

    Error -301742 occurred at NI-845x I2C Write Read.vi
    "Possible reason(s):NI-845x:  The slave did not acknowledge an address+direction byte transmitted by the I2C master. Reasons include the incorrect address set in the I2C configuration or the incorrect use of the 7-bit address. When entering an address to access a 7-bit device, do not include the direction bit. The NI-845x Basic I2C API internally sets the direction bit to the correct value, depending on the function (write or read). If your datasheet specfies the 7-bit device address as a byte, discard the direction bit (bit 0) and right-shift the byte value by one to create the 7-bit address."
    We have connected the pull up resistors on the SDA and SCL line.
    The error seems to be strange in our case,
    We have two setup
    1. Using a push button to power the device and wires through the pull up resistor.
    2. We are trying to communicate using a NI 2569 for the SDA and SLC and the Power supply to the device.
    We do not observe the error in case 1,however, in case 2 we do observe,attached are the waveform pics for the same.
    Noted that we have the clock signal rise delay in case 2, is this because of the relay 2569?
    Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Naru

    I don't quite understand your setup, and I'm not sure what I'm looking at with the figures you posted. What does the 2569 have to do with the 8451? You also said
    1. Using a push button to power the device and wires through the pull up resistor.
    I have no idea what this means.
    It's hard to tell from the pictures, but for the Case 1 figure, it appears that you are generating a correct start condition. It's also indicating that are sending a read transaction. You didn't indicate what device you're talking to, so we can't say for sure if this is correct.
    In the second case it also appears that you generating a correct start condition. The slow rise times that you are seeing in the clock is probably due to extra capacitance on the bus, or weak pullups, or both. This transaction appears to be a write transaction, but with no data.
    At this point, without knowing what device you're talking to, a better explanation of your setup, and the code itself, I'm not sure how much help we can be.

  • Reader.ini - offline network folder keeps changing

    I have offline folders setup for all of my users for use with their personal home drives (network drives). Everytime they syncronize their offline folders before leaving at night, windows always lets them know that the "reader.ini" file is different than the one on the network. It is getting very annoying. Does anybody know what is cauing this? Any type of work around? Why is reader.ini in a network folder in the first place? Have tried deleting it but it just comes back.
    S

    I have the same issue with the reader.ini file. Because it's default location is the Windows My Documents path (which in this case is a syncronised folder) you constantly get sync conflicts.
    We need to know how to change the behavoir of Adobe so the reader.ini is in somewhere else like C:\Docs & Set\%user%\App Data\Adobe. I'm not sure why it's not in the first place.
    Can anyone from Adobe please address this?

  • How to write read dataset statement in unicode

    Hi All,
    I am writing the program using open dataset concept .
    i am using follwing code.
        PERFORM FILE_OPEN_INPUT USING P_P_IFIL.
        READ DATASET P_P_IFIL INTO V_WA.
        IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
          V_ABORT = C_X.
          WRITE: / TEXT-108.
          PERFORM CLOSE_FILE USING P_P_IFIL.
        ELSE.
          V_HEADER_CT = V_HEADER_CT + 1.
        ENDIF.
    Read dataset will work for normal code.
    when it comes to unicode it is going to dump.
    Please can u tell the solution how to write read dataset in unicode.
    Very urget.
    Regards
    Venu

    Hi Venu,
    This example deals with the opening and closing of files.
    Before Unicode conversion
    data:
      begin of STRUC,
        F1 type c,
        F2 type p,
      end of STRUC,
      DSN(30) type c value 'TEMPFILE'.
    STRUC-F1 = 'X'.
    STRUC-F2 = 42.
    Write data to file
    open dataset DSN in text mode. ß Unicode error
    transfer STRUC to DSN.
    close dataset DSN.
    Read data from file
    clear STRUC.
    open dataset DSN in text mode. ß Unicode error
    read dataset DSN into STRUC.
    close dataset DSN.
    write: / STRUC-F1, STRUC-F2.
    This example program cannot be executed in Unicode for two reasons. Firstly, in Unicode programs, the file format must be specified more precisely for OPEN DATASET and, secondly, only purely character-type structures can still be written to text files.
    Depending on whether the old file format still has to be read or whether it is possible to store the data in a new format, there are various possible conversion variants, two of which are introduced here.
    After Unicode conversion
    Case 1: New textual storage in UTF-8 format
    data:
      begin of STRUC2,
        F1 type c,
        F2(20) type c,
      end of STRUC2.
    Put data into text format
    move-corresponding STRUC to STRUC2.
    Write data to file
    open dataset DSN in text mode for output encoding utf-8.
    transfer STRUC2 to DSN.
    close dataset DSN.
    Read data from file
    clear STRUC.
    open dataset DSN in text mode for input encoding utf-8.
    read dataset DSN into STRUC2.
    close dataset DSN.
    move-corresponding STRUC2 to STRUC.
    write: / STRUC-F1, STRUC-F2.
    The textual storage in UTF-8 format ensures that the created files are platform-independent.
    After Unicode conversion
    Case 2: Old non-Unicode format must be retained
    Write data to file
    open dataset DSN in legacy text mode for output.
    transfer STRUC to DSN.
    close dataset DSN.
    read from file
    clear STRUC.
    open dataset DSN in legacy text mode for input.
    read dataset DSN into STRUC.
    close dataset DSN.
    write: / STRUC-F1, STRUC-F2.
    Using the LEGACY TEXT MODE ensures that the data is stored and read in the old non-Unicode format. In this mode, it is also possible to read or write non-character-type structures. However, be aware that data loss and conversion errors can occur in Unicode systems if there are characters in the structure that cannot be represented in the non-Unicode codepage.
    Reward pts if found usefull :)

  • Merge a intensity graph to a Serial write/read

    Hey.
    I am doing my bachelor in Labview, and are using a arduino 2560 as a microcontroller for a thermal sensor.
    After many attempts on connecting the arduino to labview using LIFA.BASE I get connection sometimes, and sometimes not.
    I tried the Serial write and read program on the forum, and got much better reliability.
    I would like to use VISA, instead of Arduino int.vi
    I was hoping I could change the Serial write and read(removing the string) with putting an intensity graph in it?

    There is the Simple Serial Write Read example.  That should get you started with talking over a serial port with VISA.
    It seems like you have an array of bytes that you need to send.  You just use the Byte Array To String to convert directly into a string and send it.  For reading, there is the String To Byte Array that you can use to start parsing your data.
    Show us what you have so far.  Be sure to include any sample data you may have and expected results.  Things get really confusing when stating ASCII and Hex since people can interpret that in 10 different ways.
