Writing a score in logic(getting started)

Dear Logic 7 users,
I am new to Logic as I've recently bought a used license for logic 7.0 with the 7.2 upgrade as well.
I have no D"D interface yet and just my old trusty power 12" to work with.
But I think for this first thing I want to figure out how to do I may not need this.
I need to make use of the score capabilities write an orchestration for standard string quintet(violin I, violin II, viola, cello, contrabass) and print the full score.
I realize having a dedicated music notation software program would be easiest but Logic is all have right now.
Can any of you point me in the right direction on how to do this?

I'm interested in the same thing but haven't quite gotten that far yet. That being said, Logic can totally do that but it sounds like what you should do is take a look at chapter 16 in the reference manual for the simple reason that what you want to do is, well, quite involved. From what I understand you can get notes into the Score Editor three different ways: either setup a song with as many tracks as you have instruments and play each part with a MIDI controller which the Score Editor will capture and notate for you, use Step Input and the onscreen keyboard, or you can manually score it by inserting the appropriate music notation with the mouse (much more tedious). In any of those cases though, once your note information is input, you can set a ton of different parameters to meet your needs (this is where the manual would come in handy - no way to get into all of them here).
