Writing data to excel in multiple columns
Hi,
I have 9 arrays of values that I concatenate into one array, which I
then send through a formula node. I split the resulting array back into
9 arrays, which I would like to write to a spreadsheet file, such that
each array is one column. I also have a "time" column which I want
write as the first column, followed by the 9 columns (the arrays that
went through the formula node).
Right now all I get is one long column.
Any suggestions?

You need to wire each of your data arrays (PT100 1 through 9) as separate inputs into a Build Array function, with the Time array as the first input, for a total of 10 inputs. Make sure the "Concatenate Inputs" option on the Build Array is not selected. Then wire the resulting 2D array to the "2D data" input of the Write to Spreadsheet File.vi. This should give you the data in the format you need.

kurrajong60Here's a simple example. Say you want this sorted first by Region then by Name then by Amount.
So if you set up a sort index column with a simple formula and all you have to do is this (two clicks):
Giving you this:
Of course you could do it as I think Hiroto is suggesting and manually sort first by column B, then sort by C, then sort by A.
But that's a lot of trouble and it's easy to confuse the order so you end up having to start over again.

I have a query. One of my requirments is to upload data from excel sheet & create a material. In the excel sheet one of the columns has text for BASIC DATA TEXT under ADDITIONAL DATA of a Material. This is a text of running length.
the selection screen has feature of file upload & the users will upload excel files from their respective presentation servers.
Now my problem is that I need a function module which can convert this column in excel sheet into an internal table & later call the BAPI for MM creation.
I have used TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP & when i read my internal table to check this column length, it shows only 255 characters where as data in the excel sheet has 3000 characters (say for eg.)
Can anybody throw some light on this.

You can try using this function module and see that whether all your data is coming into the internal table properly.
MS_EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT
For the other part you needed to convert the internal table data into the structure as need by the BAPI and then call the create BAPI to create the materials in the SAP System.

I know how to upload my data into excel sheet.
I want 2 of the columns in excel sheet to be read only out of the 10 columns.
Is there any way that i can control the properties of excel sheet from SAP.

Facing problem in writing data to excel sheet using ActiveX
Hi.
I want to write data from a one dimesional array to a particular excel sheet in a particular row.Please see the attached vi for explantion.
It is giving error.But If I give a new file name when the appliation is getting closed it is writing data to the new excel file.

I am able to write data to excel sheet now. I am attaching one"test.zip" file that contains a VI named "Squence.vi "that contains another subVI named "Write U94006 Table To XL.vi"which does the functionality of counting the number of rows in the excel sheet and writing data in the next blank row. I am using the same subVI in the VI named "Sequence.vi"two times so it is taking a lot of time in opening and closing the excel sheet. Will you please suggest some way of calling the subVI only one time.

Otherwise you can write your code to csv/xml/dbase III format, since Excel can open those file format easily. -
Export data to excel and table column headers
I noticed that with LV 2012 when I call the method "Export Data to Excel" for a table, the table headers (= column names) are not exported to excel.
Am I right? I think that the column names should be exported too...
As a matter of fact when you call the method "Export to simplified image" the column names are included

Using a table, the method "Export data to excel" should export the "currently selected data", and data can be programmatically selected using ActiveCell property (as described here).
With ActiveCell I can select the column headers too (using negative numbers for row and/or column), and I do this.
And so I expect that when I select "Export data to Excel", the column headers should be exported too (because I selected them!).
I think that the actual behavior is a bug, rather that an expected behavior.

I am left with one last bit (unless the client request more feature). I need to export the database to an excel spreadsheet.
I have about 5 tables so I need to create 5 worksheet in the excel file.
Now I have tried OWA_SYLK from Tom (http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:728625409049#PAGETOP)
it works in my environment, but I just don't know how to create multiple worksheet in one excel file.
I read on the internet that XML spreadsheet is the answer but how to do that, I don't know.
Can anyone enlighten me?

I am having one internal table with column headings and other table with data.
i want to download the data with these tables into an excel sheet.
It should ask the user for file name to save it on their own name. They should give the file name in runtime and it should be downloaded into an excel sheet.
Can anyone tell what is the right function module for downloading these two internal table data with column heading and data.
what we have to do for storing the file name in runtime.

Excel source multiple column values to oledb destination single column in ssis 2012
Excel sheet has 4 columns which is filled with data till 500 rows on each column. I want to insert those excel data into single column(PolicyIds) and am using oledb destination. In excel souce i dont hav any column header. Can anyone suggest me how can i do
this effectively. (May be i can use script task to get range of data and use it as SQL variable). Is there any best approaches.

Writing several / multiple columns in a *.lvm file using write file option
Hello All,
I am doing several measurements and till now writing all the measurement in individual files thereby I am forced to use an external program to merge the files into one file of several columns.
Is there a possibility to write a *.lvm file (or some other possibility say a *.txt file but no excel) with multiple columns where each column stands for a particular data?
I am attaching a simple example where I have 4 different measurements (simulated using a regulator(I dont know how I can say this vi in english)??) which I am converting into array and trying to write them in a file of *.lvm extension. But the output is still a single column where every measurement is taking a different row which I dont want.

Unbenannt 1.vi 97 KBInstead of using the Build Array, just wire your scalars to the Merge Signals function. This will create 4 separate signals that will be written in 4 separate columns. With the existing 1D array, you could also use the Write to Spreadsheet File instead of Write to Measurement File.
