Writing log as ERROR to notify administrator
Is there a way to write to WF log as ERROR so Admin can be notified by email? Right now we use Agent.Log(str) but origin would be DEBUG and requires logging mode set to Test Mode.

I don't believe there is.
Why not simply send a custom email when trouble arises - assuming that mail connectivity is not the issue. 8o)

Creation of the dbcontrol requires a connection via the listener. When configuring the dbcontrol as part of database creation, it appears that the dbcontrol creation step runs before the dynamic registration of the databsase with the listener is complete. Now that the database itself is completed and enough time (really, just a minute or two) has passed to allow the instance to register, use dbca or emca to create the dbcontrol.
Are you able to get a sqlplus connection via the listener (sqlplus scott/tiger@orcl)? That needs to be the first order of business. -
I ran iTunes update 11.1.4.62x64 on a PC Win 7 and got "apple mobile device failed to start verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services" and got kicked out of the install process? I have setup a 2:1 (manager (lukes & hans) : assistant(leiao)) IPMA shared line config for the first time (successfully setup 1:1 shared line configs before) and once the assistant loads IPMA Assistant Console (IPMA AC) on PC1, enters her IPMA AC credentials, click OK the assistant gets the following error message âSystem Error: Please contact Administratorâ. I can confirm that IPMA AC works on PC1 (XP Pro SP2 Windows FW disabled) as other 1:1 assistants can log into IPMA AC successfully. leiao also gets the same message when she logs into PC2 (XP Pro SP2 Windows FW disabled) and PC3 (XP Pro SP2 Windows FW disabled ) that have IPMA AC installed. From a telephony point of view all IPMA setups (1:1 & 2:1) work as expected its just IPMA AC doesn't work for 2:1 IPMA shared line setups.
I have deleted lukes, hans and leiao device user profile and user profile, restarted the Tomcat IPMA service and re-created the profiles and still the same problem. In desperation I have even rebooted the CCM Pub & Sub and still leiao gets the message above.

I have noticed looking at the IPMA Service trace logs on CCM that CCM recognises leiao user as a ProxyLineAssistant instead of a SharedLineAssistant like all other 1:1 assistants?? I setup the managers and assistants in the 2:1 config the same as 1:1 shared line config but CCM appears to think that leiao is a ProxyLineAssistant??
Does anyone have any hints or tips on how to solve this, any further info required please let me know :-)

Anthony.delete the old assistant (DWAssist). Remove it from the manager's IPMA configuration and substitute it with a new assistant (DWAssist1). After reconfiguring IPMA accordingly, restart tomcat services

This seems to be a permission issue.
Go to the pcd and give read access to portal_content/com.sap.ip.collaboration/Rooms .
That should solve the problem.

ArunYour LDAP server has search limits for the user you're logging in as (or, more likely, it has default limits, and you haven't made exceptions for that user).
If you're using Sun Directory Server, you can remove these limits by setting 'nsLookThroughLimit' and 'nsSizeLimit' both to -1 for that user. -
Stop writing log in JBOSS Server
Hi All,
I am using JBoss4.0.1 application server. I start my server everday once in the morning. From that time that will starts writing the log file. If no of clients are more who are accessing my application then by next 3 or 4 hours its going write the log file of size about 2 GB. Does anybody knows configuring jboss to stop writing log file.I guess it is perfectly a wrong notion as i personally or to many corporate applications are using Log4j & JBOSS combination and logging some critical details.

Please apply the following correction manually.
1. Go to transaction ST03N
2. Change user from 'Administrator' to 'Expert Mode'.
3. Go to Collector and performance analysis -> Performance database
-> Monitoring database -> Contents
4. Search where further info contains the string "h/2"
like the following monikeys:
- 'days h/2'
- 'weeks h/2'
- 'months h/2'
5. Double click on each, so that they become red and show ** delete
6. Finally SAVE
This will remove the corresponding database related history up to the deletion date. It will accumulate anew afterwards.
How can I identify the monikey that has to be deleted?
When you load the text of the dump and then jump off to the break point of the debugger you may find the error break point look like:
"IMPORT HIST2 FROM DATABASE MONI(DB) ID MONIKEY".
To find the right monikey entry causing the dump you can search for the word 'MONIKEY' within the text of the dump. This can be 'days h/3' or
'tabgrowth 2'...
You can then go back to the procedure above and search where further info contains the monikey that you found in the text of the dump.

How do I keep this from getting logged? Why does CF look at
these as application errors?I can see your point. But it is so by design. When you
terminate a thread, Coldfusion assigns it the value null. However,
whenever a Java object assumes a null value, it causes the
NullPointerException. That is why terminations are logged as
errors. To get more information, append <cfdump
var="#cfthread#"> after the loop.
I can imagine one good reason for this design. Here, you have
chosen to terminate the threads. It can happen that some other
process beyond your control intervenes and prematurely terminates a
thread. You should like to have that logged. -
Error is not getting logged in error file while running dataload maxl

I am running a Maxl to load data in a database which is running fine but noted a weird issue that the errors are not getting logged in error file. Suppose i changed the name of data file then it should give error something like
ERROR - {Error no.} - Unable to open file {filename} which should be logged in error file but my error file is still empty.

ThanksTry to use single quotes and the backslash. It may depend on the operating system and /or the version of essbase used. This is an example from one of my maxls:

We have two users that have been using Creative Cloud for almost a year. Recently, sometime in the last 4ish weeks, the users can no longer run Creative Cloud apps. (Yes, our subscription is paid.) Error simply says administrator access is required to install. The apps have already been installed. The users cannot run them unless they are in the local admin group.Using "Run as admin" does not work. It gives the same error.
I have opened a case with adobe support and was basically told to suck it up and put the users in the admin group. Actually, what was said was that it is "mandated that the users have administrative rights".
There are a couple of things wrong with this. It was working for both users until recently - a recent required creative cloud update. The users have never been local admins yet the apps were working (poorly, but working).
We are in an enterprise environment and users simply do not have administrative rights on the computers.
I have changed permissions on all adobe folders, granting users or authenticated users modify or full control rights, did the same in whatever Adobe registry HKLM keys I could find. Nothing has allowed the users to run the apps - unless they are put in the local admin group.
Someone has to have a fix for this. Adobe apps have proved to have far too many vunerabilities to even entertain the idea of elevating user rights. I can't imagine that enterprise environments are allowing this.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.Jeff,
Thank you for your response. The users in question are "standard" domain users. We do not reduce users permissions below the standard level.
The apps do not load with their current standard user permissions.
The thing that makes this odd, is that up until recently they did this issue with cloud apps. The only way I can make it work for them now is to put them in the local administrator group on their pc's - which is not going to happen.
This is what they now see. As I said before, this was not a problem up until recently they would see all their available apps. If I put them in the local admin group the apps are listed without having to install. Everything is there, just not accessible to the user. -

I AM USING A JAVA SWING INTERFACE (JDK 1.1.8), WHICH USES JNI TO CALL C PROGRAMS WHICH IN TURN CONNECTS TO THE DATABASE, ORACLE 8.1.6.
A DATABASE CONNECTION IS ESTABLISED IN THE MAIN CLASS BY CALLING A FUNCTION FROM THE CONSTRUCTOR.
FOR ALL OTHER FUNCTION CALLS WHICH ARE MADE FROM WITHIN THIS CONSTRUCTOR, THE CONNECTION STAYS.
BUT AFTER THE CONTRUCTOR CALL IS COMPLETE, DATABASE CONNECTION IS STRANGELY LOST. THUS ALL OTHER FUNCTION CALLS FAIL BECAUSE OF CONNECTION ISSUES GIVING ORA-01012. THOUGH IF I CHECK UP IN THE DATABASE, THE CONNECTION DOES FIND AN ENTRY.
SO IT APPEARS THAT SOMEHOW THE JAVA INTERFACE LOOSES TRACK OF CONNECTION. BUT STRANGELY ALL THE FUNCTIONS WORK IF CALLED FROM THE CONSTRUCTOR......... BUT THATS NOT THE IDEA.
PLEASE HELP, THIS PROBLEM IS BUGGING ME FOR WEEKS NOW.

i am working on a previous system with java swing front end which alread uses jni, and connects to database using pro *c.
My problem is that the connection is lost as soon as the constructor of the main class is run, giving an
ORA-1012 NOT LOGGED ON ERROR.
But if i place the same calls in the contructor all the database call work.
It somehow appears that the java interface looses the connection context. Though the session does find entry in the oracle dynamic tables as long as i dont close the front end main window, thereby meaning that its the jave interface which looses the context.
