Writing on top of writing?

There are certain websites where the titles or headers have writing on top of writing. Is this my Mac Air or is it the web site? Thank you.

When I go to a certain web site the page has writing on top of writing. What can I do to correct?

You are using an old version of Firefox. The latest version is Firefox 12. Try Updating it to see if it solves your problem.

Asain writing on top of page

Lately, at the top and across the tabs of each page there is Asian (ex- Japanese, not sure which) writing that appears. The tabs become blank. The writing also shows up in the toolbar line. This has started the last couple weeks I believe.

This issue has been previously linked to the McAfee Site Advisor extension. Try to disable it and see if the problem persists.

Text is writing on top of text and is unreadable

on many websites a lot of the text is written on top of other text making most of it unreadable.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

Writing on top of picture

When I upload a picture onto flash I begin to scribble and
what not ontop of a .jpg/.png/etc picture but as soon as stop
drawing, it disappears and is found underneath the image. Is there
anyways to change this?

When reading and writing CD+R, everything works perfect. And Reading DVD also working perfect. The problem is while Writing DVD+R, DVD+RW and Erasing DVD+RW. When using burning software or the windows in-built burning, at the end it shows reading error. And While erasing also same problem. In the DVD, there are only some dark circles/lines with gap and doesn't look like normal written DVDs.
Steps tried out (but in vain)
1. Used different burners
2. Used Superblank
3. Uninstalled and Reinstalled Chipset drivers
4. Formatted the whole HDD and Reinstalled OS
Please Help! Actually where is the problem? And how to fix it?

Install the Chipset driver first, then the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver, the rest doesn't matter.
Same for the NVIDIA driver, Notebook Review is up to date or you cab go directly to NVIDIA.

If you have an upgrade disc, then you can do a clean install as long as there is a Windows OS on the drive.
I have also done a clean install form an upgrade disc to on a new drive and it still works.
Glad the MoBo's doing well ! What kills them is if you do allot of gaming, the MoBo can't take the heat. The cooling system just isn't up to the task.

Plain file writing vs. Object writing

Hi,
I've a question about the use of object serialization when it comes to file io. Suppose I've written a binary tree datastructure, which is a pretty complex one. I've filled the tree with many object and now I want to be able to save the tree for later use. I could design some file format for the tree. But I could also use object serialization and write the whole tree object to file using the ObjectOutputStream. This makes it a lot easier.
I also could write a simple preferences object (a static class with static Strings, which define my preferences) to a file, without saving the preferences using some file format.
Now my question is: is object serialization meant for these types of things? Is this a good way of using it, or, for example, are the files going to be larger than necessary?

Serialization will give you a pretty compact file. Not neccesarily the smallest possible file, but you would need to spend some time and effort creating aformat that yields smaller files, and there's not much space to gain this way.
Serialization is fine when you never want to read the file with a program that's not written in java. Because reading a serialized file using a non-java program would mean implementing the code to parse and understand the encdings for the java object format and the java primitive types.
Serialization pretty much prevents you from doing meaningsfull inspection of your data using less, grep or a text editor. If you want to be able to do this, then use a custom format that's built for readibily with such tools. It can still be pretty compact.

How can I expand my writing space when replying to an in box mail.

When ever I'm replying to inbox emails, I get stuck in away that the cursor stops, can't move any more or type on any single letter or figure. So I run out of the writing space just after writing few words like 3 and half sentences . My product is iPad 4 generation .
Also how do I sign out after reading my mails so i don't stay signed in on my iPad and my iPhone either one I use to my mails. For your information my account is with yahoo mail .

Black screen with white writing on boot - then nothing...

Ok, this is a long story, but here's the abridged version;
I have a mac mini - the old PPC version. It has just come back from being repaired - replacement logic board. However, repaired it is not. Every time i try to start it up, I get a brief white screen with grey apple logo as normal, and then a black screen with white writing on. The writing is exactly the same text as you can see in the console system log. It gets about a page-full through this, and then goes completely black. No video at all.
However, the machine is still working in there - I know this because I'm typing on it now via VNC. It is perfectly happy and all. It just does this weirdness start up and then no video.
My question is twofold:
1. The company that repaired it claims that it booted fine before they gave it back to me; however, it hasn't since I've had it back. Could the boot behaviour be some kind of diagnostic thing they left on my machine, or a mode they left it in. If so, how do I get rid of it?
2. Failing this, does it sound like my vidoe card packed up maybe?
Thoughts, solutions, etc., most welcome!

your other software? I normally find that this fixes
90%+ of all unexplained software related issues.
I could, but (a) I'm not convinced it's not related to the replacement logic board and thus a hardware issue, and (b) I can't see to do a clean install because it has no video signal

Pages on iPad constantly loses my writing. Alternatives?

I write on an iPad, using Pages. I frequently go back to Pages the next day to find the previous day's writing gone. I've called Apple Care for support, and their only advice to me was to make sure I close the document when I'm finished with it, which I do. Short of emailing every document to myself every time I finish with it, does anyone have suggestions for writing apps that will not lose my writing? I bought the iPad to be my mobile writing device, but losing writing is not acceptable.

I'm using iCloud, and this problem seems to happen most when I'm working somewhere with a WiFi connection, which makes it even more confusing. I'm connected to iCloud, so why is the writing getting lost? The other option I have is to email the document to myself every time I add to it, though it irks me that that would be necessary.

Writing Data to a file using TEXT_IO in Forms

I have a situtation where i have 5 columns and having arabic as well as english data. when i want to write this data to a txt file using TEXT_IO in a specific format, it writes to a file but as soon as it finds an arabic field, it changes the posistion. how can i write to a txt file in the posistion i want???

If you write data to a file, simply don't include any blank lines. We cannot give more specific advice unless you are telling us how you are writing. Are you writing to a new file or appending to an existing file. If the blank lines already exist, you need to read the entire file, remove the undesired lines from the string, and write the data back.
Notepad files don't have any "corners". Please describe what you are trying to do.

Batch writing

My application currently has batch writing turned off. I'm implementing a new feature that requires creating and updating a large number of objects, so batch writing would be very beneficial. I'm using the latest Oracle JDBC driver, which supports batch writing.
Unfortunately, TopLink doesn't allow turning batch writing on/off on a per-UnitOfWork basis, so my only option is to turn it only globally by setting batch-writing and jdbc-batch-writing to true in sessions.xml. I'm wondering if doing that is going to have any negative effects on pre-existing code that does not need batch writing. Are there any scenarios where using batch writing is not a good idea? Or should I just turn it on and not worry about it?

Some pages will run text and pictures together, like a car rear-ending another or a train pile up. Other pages will cut an image or text short, i.e. it will display a portion of the top of the image or text but not the rest. This happens on Amazon for example, the section where it says "Customers who looked at this also looked at" will allow only a certain amount of the upper portion of the description immediately below the picture of the product but below that section everything is fine until I get to another section displaying more products and their descriptions and then it cuts the bottom portions off again. It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.

You can try GPShell. It works for most cards as long as you know the GP version and keyset to use.
