Writing Picture files to iPod

When I try to add pictures to the iPod I get the message: iPod may not be synchronized. Disk is locked. I have turned use of disk on. No problem to synchronize music.

Hi, I assume you have iPod Nano 3G or 4G.
I don't know about the program you used to convert, but I know if you can convert the video file to .mp4 file format with resolution for iPod Nano (320x240) and about 128kbps for the audio, you might be able to put it in your iPod. When you have the video file converted, you can either import or add it to the iTunes Library (and it will go to the Movies section, and you can sync it to your iPod), or you can just set your iTunes to manually manage your iPod and drag the converted video file to your iPod icon in iTunes (and it will sync the file to your iPod).
I hope this can help.

  • Picture Files Onto iPod

I cannot load pictures onto my iPod. When I open the iPod picture file when my iPod is connected to the computer it shows the pictures that I want to have on my iPod, but they are not present when my iPod is not connected. What can I do?

I found the answer, I had to go into iTunes and unselect those files. I didn't think of that until now, because I was just going into my regular computer hardrive and not iTunes.

  • How do i make picture files on my ipod touch 4th generation, without itunes wanting to keep deleting everything in the original photo library.... I was only able to make on and can't remember how, but when I try to sync when touch is hooked up to itunes

I have had my ipod touch 4th generation for a couple months now.... Nowhere in the manuals or help sections does it tell me how to make individual pucture files(like that already on my computer) put onto my ipod touch.... I managed to make one and I can't remember how I did it but when I have the touch hooked up to itunes and try to pick which picture files from my computer to sync, a box always opens and says that it will delete everything in the original photo library that was in there.....
Can anyone help me there has to be away, I know someone has done it but they don't live here to show me!!!!
    Please and thanx in advance!!!!!!!

where on my computer am I suppose to make the individual picture files and have them to upload on my ipod touch.... *I'd be happy if I could reinstall iTunes 7.3. Does Apple make older versions of iTunes available for download? I haven't been able to find them.*

I have downloaded a program to help transfer the photos but when I open up the photos folder in My Computer there are only two folders an empty folder and a photo database icon. But when I disconnect the iPod and open the photos section all of my pictures are there. How can I find the pictures files? If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks

Check http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod-software-windows for something to help you transfer the photos from the ipod. You may want to try copytrans ( http://www.copytrans.net/index.php ) as it copies absolutely everything from your ipod, then look in the directory created by it for your photos.

  • Error writing workspace file

    Hi all!
When I compile my CVI Project I get sometimes the following message: "Error writing workspace file d:\.... (File already exists)", and afterwards the question to continue or not (see the pictures).
When I continue, the existing .cws file will be deleted. A new cws file is created only on the next compilation. So, when I close CVI before the next compilation, the cws file is lost. Not dangerous but annoying.
I observe this behavior only since version 2013.
    What's wrong?

    Hi, Thomas!
It seems like my similar problem (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=180&message.id=60376#M60376).
Unfortunately I never beat this (the "solution" doesn't work, the problrem persists). I try to set / change W7 directory access rights without success.
By some indicies I suspect that the cause may be somewhere in file access process on a multi-core computer (I have Dell VOSTRO with Core i7) - but I do not have idea how to verify this.

    George

itunes error writing to file: C\Config.Msi\165996.rbf verify that you have access to that directory
That's the error I get when trying to uninstall or reinstall my itunes.  The application no longer works and I just purchased a new Ipod touch 4th generation that requires I uninstall and upgrade to 10.6.

I had this exact same problem just now, trying to upgrade to 10.7.
I even got that error msg when trying to UNINSTALL iTunes!
After hours of frustration trying everyone's different suggestions, I downloaded Revo Uninstaller http://www.cnet.com.au/apps/revo-uninstaller-10610875/ which solved the problem.
Use it to help uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Then you can install iTunes from scratch.
    Good luck

  • HT4236 I'm trying to recover my lock screen picture file.

I'm trying to recover my lock screen picture file. It is a very important picture to me and I cannot find it in the backup (not that it might not be there, I just can't find it). What do I need to do to recover this file?
If it where the wallpaper I would just screen shot it, but unfortunetly it has all the extra stuff on it.

Try deleting your iPod Photo Cache folder.  See:

  • Error writing to file when installing iTunes 10.

When I updated to iTunes 10 yesterday, it updated fine, but when I went to run it today, it had to configure. It was almost completed when I got the error "Error writing to file: C\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\ru.lproj\IPod touch License.rtf". I tried to access the file, but it says the file cannot be found.
I uninstalled iTunes, and went to re-install it, but at about the same time I get the exact same error.

    Hi,
Did you guys finally find solution to the problem?
I have been trying to install Oracle 9.2.0.1 on redhat 8.0 box, for ages now. I get the following error first during install
Error in writing to file libclntsh.so.9.0
Then it is a series of errors, similar.
In the end there is the dreaded linking error... for the ins_rdbms.mk sdo_on
    i just cant handle it.
    What the hell is wrong?
I have done everything right as far as i know... any solutions?
    cheers

  • Cannot Install "Error writing to file:..."

    Hello,
I have been using iTunes and Quicktime for quite sometime now. i recently attempted to upgrade to the latest version and received this error:
Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\QuickTimeVR.Resources\sa.lproj\QuickTimeVRLocalized.qt r. Verify that you have access to that directory.
I have tried uninstalling iTunes and Quicktime as well as conducted several virus and spyware tests with no luck.
This is quite frustrating as I cannot install nor use iTunes so I have no way of syncing my iPod.
    Thank you for any suggetions.

That sort of message citing that sort of program file (in this case it looks like it might be a file in your Spanish language resources) is usually caused by that file being damaged in some way.
The damage is often caused by disk damage near the file. So let's try running a chkdsk over the C drive:
How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, does an itunes install go through properly afterwards?

  • I cannot backup my files.  I get an error message saying there was an error writing a file.

I have several catalogs in Photoshop Elements 12.  I display them and add to them, but when I try to back them up I get an error message saying that there was an error when writing a file.  What can I do to successfully backup my catalogs.  I have several thousand pictures in the catalogs.

Do you have any unsupported video files. If so remove them from Organizer and then try a backup.
