I purchased a single app account and somehow ended up with photshop associated with it. I need InDesign, how do I fix it?

In Mail, the "From" line shows the wrong name associated with the email id. How do I update it?

In Mail, the "From" line shows the wrong name associated with my email ID. I've looked over preferences and account information but have not found where I can update it.

There isn't an email address associated with the contact name who appears as the "from" in Mail. It used to be a shared email address and I already had updated the contact to list only the phone number in case that was causing the problem.

Can I change my verified primary email address associated with my apple id? I don't want to change my apple id as I have music/apps associated with it. My current email will be changing soon.

Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.

Trying to change Apple ID, email already associated with account?

I wish to change the main email of my Apple ID (the email used right now is inconvinient because it isn't the one I use on my iPhone). I manage to change the alternate email address, however when I try to change the main Apple ID to my regular email, it tells me "this email is already associated with another account". This doesn't make sense to me because this is the only Apple ID I have created in the past, and I never used my regular email in an apple account. Is anyone in the same situation I'm in? How can I fix this because it's extremely annoying and inconvenient (right now I am overseas and because my iPhone is associated with a different email I cannot Facetime).

PS: Is it possible to simply terminate the account and restart? That would be easiest.

Closing out apple e-mail password and transferring to a new email address associated with account

I need to transfer all my music etc. from an e-mail account associated with two i phones and a computer that has been closed. Associate it with a new e-mail account I have associated with an i-pad.
Need to accomplish this quickly!

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

Icloud Restore Wrong acct associated with my username

So I just restored my iphone since it has been having multiple issues. And during the setup of restore when I logged into my icloud with my username and password it pulled my ex husband's acct log in and asked me for his password. I of course do not have it. And the weirdest part is that I purchased this phone after being divorced for almost 3 years, so it should have absolutely NO association with his acct. Now I am being forced to skip restoring from my icloud acct with the iTunes. Is there some way to fix the log in info it is asking me for?

No, this means that Activation Lock was activated using your ex-husbands account and unfortunately this means that you have to ask your ex-husband for the password in order to get your phone working again.

I would like to delete an account and all the iPhone apps associated with that account off my mac.

A friend of mine bought an iPhone 4 back in Febuary 2011 (pre-iCloud). At the time of her purchase, she was without a computer, so I allowed her to back her iPhone up to my MBP.
Since iCloud, she has no need to use my MBP for backups, restores, etc. Plus she lives 40 miles away. Her apps are still on my MBP and I have been updating them when needed, however I no longer need to have her account OR apps on my MBP.
How can I be rid of all her info and apps from my iTunes. I do have access to her account, with permission.

If by account you mean a user account then open Users & Groups preferences, select her account, click on the Delete [-] button. Choose the last option to fully remove the account. Do not check the box for Secure Erase.

Wrong name associated with my account

Running iChat 4.0, OS X 10.5.1 with my gmail account. I attempted to add a buddy (my aunt) and apparently did so incorrectly. Her name never showed up on my buddy list, and now when I set my account to "View as Name", HER name shows up instead of mine. I've tried deleting the account and starting over, but it must be cached somewhere because it keeps doing this. I've found several plist files related to iChat, but none of them have her name in them, so I don't think that's where it's getting this information.
Anyone have any ideas?

I hate when this happens.... I no sooner finished typing the initial post, when I decided to try one more thing, changing the "Description" field in the preferences. This worked. Oddly, the previous data in that field was NOT my aunt's name, but was my gmail account. Nevertheless, when I changed it to my name, it fixed the issue.
Just wanted to update this in case anyone else ran into this issue.

Wrong Name Associated With iPhone

Hey guys,
I just recently used the new Maps app on my iPhone 4S (iOS 7) to text somebody my location when I noticed the name that came up on the link/picture is wrong. My name is Ryan and my last name begins with an S, and since I also have a friend on my contacts list with the same first name (Ryan) and last letter of last name (S) the phone somehow thinks that that individual is me. I also noticed that next to my friends name in the contacts list it says "me". I have no idea how to fix this! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the tip! I would have done that right now but i deleted him off my contact list since i thought it might have somehow fixed the problem but its still registering as my friend.

Apps associated with itunes accoutn not showing in library

The apps I have previously downloaded are not showing up in my apps section of my library. I've synced, backed up, transfered purchases and it never shows up. I can see the apps in the purchase section of the itunes store but they do not show up in my library.
In addition how to i delete/disassociate apps from my itunes account. I know previously you could do it by right clicking and selecting delete in the library but am unsure if that is still possible since the update to itunes.
Not sure if it matters but i have windows 8.1

My apple account switched to uk in the store...I have the American flag displayed at the bottom of my iTunes page and still when I order, it says I am not allowed as My account is still in the uk store? How can I change this?

Change to US App Store
1. Tap "Settings"
2. Tap "iTunes & App Stores"
3.Tap "View Apple ID"
4. Enter your user name and password.
5. Tap "Country/Region."
6. Tap "Change Country/Region"
7. Select the region where you are located.
8. Tap "Done".

My iPad 2 used iOS5. I upgraded to iOS6 and have restored my original settings, therefore, have lost photos and other stuff that I didn't think about losing.
I spoke with an Apple Assistant who gave me advice at a stage in the process, said she would call back (also said she would help me find my original apps later on). She never called back and now I'm left without my precious photos etc. With hindsight I shouldn't have agreed to the update, should have thought about it more intently.
Majority of apps I can just download again but if there's a way I can get my photos and contacts back, I'd love to know.
Can anyone help please?

Wrong preview associated with an image

I just imported my iPhoto library as referenced files. Ir, they are still stored in iPhoto
There is a weird random error in the Browser for the thumbnail images. Some images correctly show in the Viewer, but show incorrectly in the browser.
How can this happen?
The incorrect image in the Browser is not even from the same event.
Any thoughts?

I have photos with a lower-case dsc_ and the same uppercase DSC_
This seems to be the main problem - a solution I am trying to work out how to resolve now.. so
A question: How does Aperture normally handle "same name" photos like when a camera restarts it's numbering after downloading the photos ?
Are there any recommendations to resolving it (there are in excess of 5,000 clashes).

Can't update apps, wrong iTunes account associated with them.

I have just a handful of applications that when I try to update the the app store app prompts me for a password to my other account which the apps were not purchased on. All the apps were validly purchased on the first account, but now the apps are associated with my second itunes account and I can't update them. I've gone into the app store app and set the account to my first account but that does nothing for the update, it keeps prompting me for my password for my second account. I need it to switch back to the first account for these few apps. What's odd is that every other app updates just fine and are associated with the correct account, except for just these few. Any thoughts?
The message I get is that "this discounted price is only available to owners of previous versions.... blah blah." well, I own the previous version, that's how I got it on the iPad. But it's a different account. The update prompt does not allow you to change the username/email, only enter a password. Anyhoo, this is getting annoying.

I ran into the same problem. I had purchased apps using more than one account. When updating apps, I would get errors. Here's what I did to fix it . . . not easy, though.
First, attempt to update your apps on the PC. This will update all of the apps associated with the current account on iTunes.
1) Double-clicked in Apps iTunes (on PC)to open the Apps in another window
2) Arranged windows so I could see both my apps window and the main itunes window side by side.
3) Select an app in the apps window
4) Click on the down arrow right next to the name the Name column which and choose the app name from the drop down list. This will open the app info from the iTunes store in the main iTunes window.
5) Compare the versions. If the Store version is newer, delete the app from the iPhone and from the PC.
Repeat for each app.
Time-consuming but it works.
