Wrong approval preview: One Sptep Approval WF in PO WS14000089

Hi Gurus!
We are using SRM 5.0 and we need to set up the WF WS14000089 for approving changes in POs. The problem is that, we will not have the responsible for the approval under the Purchasing Organization, as we will replicate the PPOMA from R3. So, the responsible for approving all the changes in the PO will be under one box (department in the PPOMA). There will only be one person with rights to approve changes in POs. As we cannot assign it indirectly to the Purchasing Organization, we need to assign the approver using WF.
We need that, every change in a PO needs to be approved by this single person.
We have tried to assign him as a responsible in WS14000089 for step 000023 "First Approval". We have defined in tab "Agents" the option "User" and the user that has to be the appover.
When we test the WF, no approver is determined in the approval preview for the PO. But if the PO is saved and you display it again, in the approval preview, the correct approver has been determined and the PO is sent to this approver in order to check the modified PO.
What are we missing in order to display the correct user in the approval preview tab in the PO?

Also please provid more details about the issue. To me it seems to be a conflict in your workflow configuration and your expecation.

Iprocurement Requisition submission fails with Wrong Approval Hierarchy

Hi,
I am setting new AME Rules for Iprocurement Requisitions(Internal), and while submitting it shows an error saying 'Problem with Wrong Approval Hierarchy'.
I had setup AME rules correctly, and all of a sudden its showin gme the error,
I have checked my Requistion with the test Transaction and it shows correctly, but am not able to submit new Iproc requisitions.
I have also taken the Setup Report for Internal Requisition Approval and it looks all fine.
Had any one faced this kind of errors before ?

We believe Iprocurement does not support AME. Please get it confirmed from oracle support.

Wrong Approval Preview in GOA

Hi All,
We are getting some wrong updates in approval stauts and approval preview in GOA.
We have N step Badi and working in SRM4. User has done some minor changes in the GOA and released GOA. But then its gone for approval. Now approval steps are completed. In header level of GOA its showing status as Awating approval but in preview tab its showing as Approved. Since due to this changes made by user are not getting distibuted in backend.
We have check RZ20 but no logs. We have checked SWI1andSWI6 but here all steps and tasks are completed. Even in BBP_PD its showing WF is completed.
What could be the probable cause for this mismatch of approval.

You should also activate the workflow template "WS10400010" which is a Zero step approval process and than build your start conditions to determine whether the 2-step workflow you have defined or the std. zero step needs to be triggered.
If that is not possible a very simple workaround would be to create a dummy user in the SRM system and put the first name as "No approval required" and determine this user as your agent when you do not want to subject your confirmation to an approval process. This should take care of your approval preview problem

Wrong approver for shopping cart

Hi Friends,
I've found something very strange in my SRM system for Shopping cart approveal process.
One of my SC is waiting for approaval by a approver who is assigned to different plant and he has got nothing to do with this SC.
The SC's basic data contains the responsibility of some other LPR group for which approver is different and he is the actual approver of this SC.
Can you guys provide some link where i can find documents related to approval process in detail and also the organisation structure material as i am new to SRM..? after providing the solution for above querry...

In my case, there is one cutomized table that contains list of approvers, but I am yet to debug and find the source of data for this table. Your reply will be rewarded.

SRM SC 'N' step workflow - Approver list wrong approver determined

Hi Team,
I am facing a repetetive issue for a SRM shopping cart N-step approval workflow.
Issue description:
1. The approver list populated in 'Subworkflow for n-Level Approval SC' step is incorrect.
2. The BADI for N-step determines correct approver (After running the BADI seperately)
3. The cost assignment (WBS) determined is correct, so no chance of incorrect approver.
Example:
As per WBS (say) E.008.01.02, the correct approver is 'A'.
The BADI when run separately gives 'A' as the approver - which is correct.
But, when the workflow is triggered and the approver list populated in the Sub-workflow step it gives approver as 'B'.
There is no link so as how this approver 'B' is determined.
I am unable to find the step where this BADI is populating this value (Code) and what could be the reason.
Appreciate your help as I am having a production emergency!

Hi Vinoth,
The Task 14007989 deals after the approval list is populated.
If you observe the workflow log of a SC/PO, the step N-step workflow (sub-workflow) itself determines the approval list and then comes the step 'Determine Next Approver' - TS14007989.
I tried to where-used list and it just yielded two FM's - BBP_WFL_DIN_APPR_CONTAINER_GET & BBP_WFL_DIN_APPR_BY_RULE_GET.
But the 1st one is to get only approvers which are already determined in container & 2nd one checks for further approval required (Flag = 'X', see the FM interface).
This one doesn't help!

In our dev instance, users are getting action notification in email, once got approved, the transaction is over, and in the "Who" coloumn, different person name is storing instead of the approved person name.
In our Test Instance, users are getting FYI notification in Email, but they are not getting email notification. Do we need to set any profile option? How to get this?

Run $FND_TOP/sql/wfmlrdbg.sql script and check the status of the message in WF_DEFERRED and WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue.

Wrong image preview while I am moving adjustment sliders in Aperture

When I move adjustment sliders, a different recently and previosly adjusted image will frequently show in the viewer while the slider is being moved. Sometimes parts of two or more previous images will appear and sometimes in the wrong orientation. This makes it makes it impossible to see the result of the adjustment until I release the slider which is annoying. I cannot reliably replicate the problem but it happens often. It seems random as if the wrong image is in a cache and not refreshing properly.
Details:
MacPro (New) 6-core 32GB RAM, D300 Graphics OS X
Aperture 3.5.1
Moved Library from old machine (2007 MacPro) and rebuilt library
250K images all referenced
Library is big (236GB)
Files are RAW Canon 5dMk3 and tend to be about 30MB
Preferences:
Import: standard previews
Previews: generate automatically and share when quitting (half size medium quality)
library created new previews for all images when I rebuilt it
machine will run processor and memory hard, sometimes around 90%
Might it be a poor choice of preference settings or a corrupt library? Anyone else ever experience this condition? I would appreciate any suggestions.

On a conceptual level, it should not be a problem, but a Preview is related to a Version, and a Version is related to one Original/Master. There can be multiple Versions, all of which must point to a single Original.
You are not adjusting a Preview, but rather a Version. What you see as you adjust is a new rendering of the Version, and is not the Preview you saw when you decided to adjust, I believe.
There are on the order of 8 or 9 other files related to every Original even if only one Version in the Package that is the Library. Very complex indexing going on at all times.
Please open an image, and before attempting to adjust, click on File, and choose Show in Finder -- is the Finder image the correct one? And in the correct location?
Now attempt to adjust. Does the image change? If so, again us Show in Finder and check.

I utilise Entourage for my mails. When I tip a mail adress and write a wrong one, I change. When I will send again a mail to the same adress the wrong and good one appears both. How can I delete the wrong one

When I tip a wrong adress and make the correction, the old one stays in the memory of my computer ( apple I Mac ).
When I wish to send a new message to the same adress, the wrong one appears in the same time , and some time I don't remember wich is the good one .
To avoid that problem, how can I delete the wrong adress for future sending of mails.

Solution, use Apple Mail
I can highly recommend migrating to the Address Book. You won't have the typo'ed history in your email.

Portal Navigates to Wrong Location from One DI????

Hello Al,
We've had intermittent problems with one of our DI's in our QA or PROD environments navigating to a wrong location in from 1st/2nd level navigation.
- It typically only happens with one portal tab, not many or all.
- We know the problem isn't with our content as it chooses to navigate to locations sometimes in our own content but many times in an admin area, but totally unrelated to where it should go.
- Once the error occurs the bad navigation remains the same until we've cycle java.
- We've tried clearing PCD cache on the bad DI but that hasn't helped.
This may be happening only after we release content but we're not sure of that at this point. Our release process has us shutting down the DI's, importing new content to the CI, then bringing DI's up one at a time for testing. If the area affected by the problem isn't part of our release content the problem may not be discovered until later regression testing. Has anyone seen anything similar?

Hyperlink styles in menu look correct in editor but wrong in Preview or real Web Browser

The default hyperlink style of my site is:
Normal or Visited links are black, boldface and underlined
Hovering or active links are grey boldface and underlined
Except for my menu where I want them this way:
Normal, Visited or Active links are black, no boldface and no underline
Hovering links are grey and underlined
But I can't manage to do it!
The items appear in boldface with no underlines and no colour change (so the only hint when you hover them is the pointer changing from arrow to hand)
The only different is the last item that is the only one that has submenu and is not a hyperlink by itself. It doesn't appear in boldface but again no underline or colour change. Also the first item of this submenu appears without boldface.
in the editor the menu looks fine but in the preview or when HTML exported, the menu looks as explained.
As Menus behave differently than other hyperlinks, I've tried to click and drill down to the text in the menu then modify the text appearance using the States panel, but as I said, the menu looks fine in the editor but not in the preview or web browser.
I also have tried to remove the menu completely and creating again from scratch, but even with all the default options of the widget (not even font size change nor font type), it appears as non boldface in the editor but boldface in the preview.

Instead of the original Muse file for my site I thought it would be easier for you to have a minimal site that also reproduces the problem so this is the test.muse file I'm sending to you.
Meanwhile, I had to make a workaround for my actual site menu to work as intended by removing the boldface attribute from the hyperlinks default style of the site. This is the dblanco.muse file I'm also attaching. You just have to activate the boldface in the default style to have the problem again.

Aspect ratio wrong on preview monitor...

I'm using FCP with 2 monitors on a Macbook. I have it set up so that when I view my sequence it plays in full screen on my 2nd monitor. It's working fine when I view my 'canvas', but when I preview a clip in the 'viewer' window the aspect ratio on the external monitor isn't right and it squashes the clip. Any ideas?

Where might one find this magical setting? I can't find it anywhere.

Acrobat 8 - Files Appear Wrong On Only One Mac

Greetings everyone. First post on Adobe Forums. I have found quite a few answers on here so thanks to everyone who contributes. I have finally reached a point where I am ready to pull my hair out over Adobe products. Here is just one of the many issues I'm having and I'd love some help.
I have the following:
2 x Mac Desktops (One Intel, One Power PC)
Both running 10.5.4, and both have all avaliable updates downloaded for Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite CS3, and both are running Time Machine.
The Intel Mac is functioning perfectly in regards to Adobe Acrobat Professional. It can create PDFs, view them, etc.
The Power PC Mac is another story. PDFs created on this machine will either create as blank, or be missing parts of the file (text, images, etc.). If I view a PDF created on any other machine, the text will look strange, or things will be missing. However, if I take that file and open in on ANY other machine, it looks perfect. Doesn't matter if it is Windows or Mac. Looks exactly correct. I can even open it in Preview on the machine I'm having problems with and it works perfectly.
Has anyone experienced this? I know it isn't a PowerPC issue because I have other Power Macs around and they work fine. It is just on this Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can provide as much detail as possible.

Wrong print preview and printed color from Lightroom 1.3

I am running Vista Ultimate and i just installed the driver for my Canon PIXMA Pro9000.
When i try to print from Lightroom 1.3 the colors are very muted, even when i do print preview the colors are wrong in the print preview screen.
No matter what i do i cant seem to get lightroom to Print Preview AND print with the right colors.

(on the left) is what i see and get when i do a print preview and print and my monitor image is on the right.
If i use Canon DPP the colors are not that bad, its a bit dark but that was easily fixed and i can get it quite close to what i see on the screen. My monitor is not calibrated..The images were all shot in RAW and converted to DNG...Do i need to re-install Lightroom as i don't think print preview has anything to do with the printer i have attached....

1. in the Print module, clicking on the Print Settings button ...
2. Choose your media type
3. Under Print Quality choose High
4. Under Color Intensity choose Manual. In the subsequent dialogue box choose None.
5. In the Print right hand panel under Color Management choose your print media - PR1 for Photo Paper Pro, SG1 for semi-gloss &c
6. Rendering intent Perceptual.
7. Hit Print and OK.
this resolved my issue!!

1 Thai Character printout wrongly but preview report good

HI Experts,
I have a problem when printing Thai Characters in report.
When preview the thai characters displayed perfectly.
But when printout - Only 1 character is printed wrongly.
Example: สำ
it will be printed as ส0
I've used other printer to test and same results appeared.
I've also print other printing but it prints correctly.
Not too sure if its the printer problem now or the report.
Some of the Thai words are maintained in the translation and some retrieve from table. But it prints out incorrectly.
Any ideas?

I tried the link - but its not quite solve my problem because it is not a form which I am creating.
The problem arised only to this report that I modified from the standard program - S_ALR_87009895 - Input Tax Report. Another form which I had created prints out perfectly.
I dont think its the form that is the cause of the problem because there are printing which extracts directly from the table field to print.
Any guidance to check on the Output Device type or the printer setting?

CS4 - Dual Monitor Setup - Files open on wrong screen + Preview Adjustment layers

I have various workstations running Mac OS 10.5.8 three run PS CS3, and one runs CS4
In CS4 files always open on the monitor I have allocated for my palattes. Before CS4, Photoshop would open files on the monitor that my last filed was opened on. This is highly annoying!!! How can I fix it so that it at least always opens on the same monitor.
(My menu bar is on the monitor I've designated for my palettes menu and not the monitor I do all my color work on.)
Also, any hopes that we will be able to have a preview button for adjustment layers again? This is highly annoying, and if I'm able to do so when adjusting directly onto a layer, why don't I at least have the option to have a preview button when having an adjustment layer????

Well if you menu bar is on your "second" monitor, it's generally considered now the "first" monitor, and hence most files will open on that screen by default. But sometimes you can make a file open on the other monitor if you have your mouse cursor in the other monitor. So put your cursor on the desired screen, press command-O and the open dialog should show there, and the image should open there too. Also works if you double click a file on the desktop of the 2nd monitor. (Usually, these are the window opening dynamics as best I can figure).
