Wrong Audio After Export

Hi
I put some audio fx (moderate compressor, HiPass, LowPass...) on the clips and did a bit of rubberbanding. If I play the sequence in PPro, all sounds nice.
But after export/encoding some parts of the rubberbanding (volume) are wrong or lost. Plus there are some holes at the end of some clips, which sounds like an compressor error. And there are some tiny volume changes in the exported audio.
I did all exports with the best audio quality settings.
The sequence has only two stereo tracks: the on-camera voice (A1) and music (A2).
The sample rate of the captured audio is 32 kHz w/ two channels. The sample rate of the sequence is 48 kHz.
Is it possible to mixdown all audio tracks to one (stereo) track?
If so, may this be a solution?
Is it possible to change the sample rate of the footage?
I tried
* render the audio before export
* NOT render the audio before export (and delete previous renders)
* delete preferences
* direct export and export via AME
Best regards & thanks for your input.
(PPro CS 5; Win 7 64bit)

Is it possible to mixdown all audio tracks to one (stereo) track?
You can try exporting the audio by itself as a stereo WAV, and then import that back into Pr, and replace your audio in a duped sequence with your WAV mix.

  • Premiere Pro dropped audio after export, AME no audio

Similar problem in both premiere & AME - clips are exporting with video but no audio.
When queueing up jobs in AME, they'll finish with no Audio & now even exporting directly from the timeline in Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 (just updated 2014-12-14) our clips still have no audio.
All clips have conformed on the timeline before beginning export.
This is happening despite trying these various solutions... re-installing Premiere, starting a new project, choosing a new Scratch Disk with 3 TB of available hard drive space... also our operating system is a 2014 3.5 GHz i7 32GB RAM iMac, running Mavericks with a 256 GB Flash Hard Drive, so RAM or HD speed should not be an issue?
Any advice or a solution would be greatly appreciated.  We export dozens of jobs a day and cannot find a reason why this Adobe Premiere Pro & AME Software is not working correctly & giving us dropped audio upon export - very frustrating, thanks for the help...

I have 2 macs, screenshot with identical export setting was from 2nd mac. if you can repro now here is a 2014.2 screenshot & same export settings on the 2014.2 mac; issue occurs on both computers thanks - also this timeline, before export I had audio on all tracks.  Here is a screenshot of the timeline post export; all of the audio is gone?  It was there at time of export

  • Missing audio after export. Please help!

So I made a video for myself and friends on iMovie and included some music that I legally purchased. This video is entirely non-commercial so I didn't see an issue with using some music for it.
when I export from iMovie, I get the video with no sound and then after the video ends I get the audio with no video. Can anyone explain to me what in the world is going on? First I can see the entire video with no audio, then all I see is white and the audio from the video pops up.
Last problem is that all the music is missing from iTunes. I can hear all the other audio, but the music I imported from iTunes is missing. It's just the regular audio I imported from the video camera with the clips. Can someone please help me out?
    THANKS!

    hi Sue,
In my timeline I had the music across both audio bars. Once I reimported the audio, it was all on the third timeline bar. It was colored orange. The audio files do not overlap at all however. So the top bar is filled with the video tracks. The second bar is empty. The third bar has the audio files. They are one after another, seperated by a second or two of silence. There is audio playing on some of the clips of video, but on most of the clips I have muted so that the music should be all you hear. I actually muted the clips themselves, and not the entire bar.
All the boxes on the far right are checked. I do not have a camera attached. I do have an external hard drive attached via firewire. I have over 80 individual clips in the video. I have 512 Megs of RAM and a 1.25 Ghz processor on my lampstand iMac G4. The file is about 9 minutes long.
when I export it to quicktime all the video shows up, without any errors except for the fact that it is completely silent. At the end of the video, I get a white screen and the audio from the video clips starts playing, in order, as though I extracted the audio from the entire video and placed it at the end for no reason. None of the music plays. The files that were muted appear to be staying muted, but the ones that have sound are playing. I followed the instructions above about burning a CD, importing the audio files from the CD and then exporting the video to avoid copy protection issues.
Under my advanced options in the Preferences window I unchecked "extract audio in paste over" and "filter audio from camera" after the first two times this happened to me. the problem continued after I unchecked those.
I think I've given you as much info as you might need. If there are any other questions please ask and I'll try to get the info for you. Thank you VERY much for your time and help.

  • No audio after export...

This is my first project in STP so I'm sure this is a really stupid question.
I'm trying to export the master track of my multi track project so I can finish editing my video in FCP and all I have is 45 MB of silence. I've tried launching it in FCP, i tunes, and even tried playing it straight from the preview on the hard drive. Nothing no sound. There is no visual wave form when I open it in any program.
What could I be doing wrong? When it exports, I can see the meters on the Master track registering.
    Thanks in advance.

    hi
    try this...
the 'Submix 1' in STP2 is by default set to surround 1-6
change this to stereo by right clicking the Submix channel n the mixer panel and select 'Make submix stereo' (I'm presuming that this is a stereo project and not 5.1)
instead of using the Export>Aif option ...
to export use Export>Compressor>Audio> and choose the .aiff format (Audio>Aiff 48:16)
    this works for me.
    hope this helps

  • It seems my asset links (mostly images) get placed in the WRONG location after exporting

    Hi There,
I've been using the test version of Muse for the part 10 days and have really been enjoying it!  I'm about to launch my first site with it.
But!  In my design mode, all the correct images are on the right page, and then often when I go to the "preview mode" or the "preview page in browser" or publish the website as a test, then it seems like the wrong photos (from other pages on my website) will then be displayed in another photo's spot.
As if, some bug caused the assets link's to get mixed-up when I export the website to view it live.
Here is my example.  (NOTE - for both these pages, scroll to the SIDE, not down).
Here is one page on the website, notice this is the page for the WIRED store, all the images in here should be there
    http://imdefinitelyinnewyorkcityrightnow.businesscatalyst.com/wired-store.html
Now look at this different page for a different entry, but, some of the images from the WIRED store page (above) are now placed into this entry?????
    http://imdefinitelyinnewyorkcityrightnow.businesscatalyst.com/muddguts.html
Note, there should be OTHER images in the place where the image that says "WIRED" in blue is, same goes for the bottom half of that first image, in design mode, there is another image there.
As mentioned, in my "design" mode the photos are all in the correct places, it's only when I get to the preview/export modes where it seems the links to the assets gets mixed up.
Anybody have any idea about this bug or what I can do to change it?
    Thanks in Advance,

I am having the same issue.  I have three layered elements as three columns in the body of the page.  When I add the farthest right element it pushes the other left elements to the bottom of the page.  There are aren't any other elements on the page.
Is this a CSS issue?  I thought about exporting to Dreamweaver and fixing it there but would like to take the easy route first.

  • Wrong audio levels exported when creating an AS-11 delivery

As per my subject, when exporting a pro ress hq for as-11 (4 mono audio), if I import referenced master audio (-18dBFS line up tone), the result of the share, creates a master file that's turned down each mono soundtrack down by -3db. Seems a bug as I can recreate it 100% and other people have posted of the complain. Can Apple fix this asap? I don't want my audio which I carefully mix for the client to be altered when the client exports a master. For clarity we use a role called as-11 and we create x4 sub roles (ch01-04)
can recreate using using other machines and different installations

No apologies mate. Thanks for keeping this thread active. I'm just hoping Apple will notice it and correct it asap.
Otherwise, I'd be interested in hearing how other people go about it, as otherwise all AS-11 deliveries mastered or made in FCPX will fail at the broadcasters end.
I've tried boosting the audio by -3dB, but the slider is inaccurate and produces inaccurate results (-2.9 or -2.8dB increases). Apart from the fact that I shouldn't have to, it is also tweaking master audio, which is a big No-no, as it all has to comply to True Peak and Loudness specs, and doing such adjustment will no longer guarantee it.

  • Wrong colors after export

I don't know if this is related to the color issue with the Eyedropper — http://forums.adobe.com/message/4691036
Anyway, this is a really serious bug that didn't happen with CS5, but it indeed happens with CS6. When I export an image from Fireworks, colors are completely wrong, as you can see from the attachment.
    Anyone affected with this bug?

I think this is less likely to be a bug and more likely to be a quirk in the new Mountain Lion OS, though it could certainly be related to the "eyedropper color sampling" bug you've observed previously.
Are you viewing the exported graphics in Preview?
According to an online source, untagged images are assumed to be in an sRGB color space in Mountain Lion. This is different from previous Mac OSs, which assumed the monitor display profile (a smaller gamut space, which required no color management). Graphics exported from Fireworks are untagged; therefore, they may be getting "assigned" an sRGB profile on-the-fly by the operating system. This would cause a change in the their appearance—including a boost in saturation, as sRGB is typically a larger-gamut color space than most monitor display profiles.
One way to test this theory would be to open the exported graphic in Preview and assign it the monitor display profile (go to Tools > Assign Profile..., then choose "Color LCD"); this should decrease the saturation of the graphic and cause it to appear as it does in Fireworks.
Also, this new Mac OS behavior should affect Fireworks PNGs as well, not just exported PNGs. Do you observe the same color change when you view a Fireworks PNG in Preview? How about graphics output from Fireworks CS5? They should also be affected.

  • Incorrect audio after exporting a video to Quicktime

I recently exported a video from iMovie onto Quicktime, but for some reason, the audio plays in a completely random order, while the actual videos correctly play. Why is this happening?

The processor won't affect the quality of an export at all, only the speed of the export.
MPEG4 isn't the best option here.  Instead use an appropriate H.264 preset.

  • Dual-track audio after export plays on first clip, but not on second?

So, I've been working on a project with video that has two audio tracks, and they play fine in the preview window in premiere, but as soon as I export them, the first clip of it works, but the second clip I have does not have the second audio track, just the first. If anyone could shed some light on whats going on that would be great. Also, I tried using media encoder, in which I couldn't hear either of the audio tracks.

That's rather strange. Sorry to hear that.
Where did these files originate? From a video camera, screen capture, webcam, or mobile device? What is the format of these files? More details on your system, OS, version of Premiere Pro, etc., please.

  • No audio after exporting to iDVD

I have made large imovie, with still photos and about 6 audio files. No matter which way I export it to idvd, the audio will not play in the preview mode. I got it to work once, but I tweeked the imovie a bit, as I was unhappy with a few small details, and now, no audio. I did however "share" and make a quick time file, which once imported into iDVD works fine, but I can not include a theme and or customize the iDVD. I have exported small parts of the imovie to idvd, and the audio is fine. I am wondering if the file is too huge- the project file is 5.1 GB. If the only way I can get this to work is by using the quick time file, is there anyway to be able to customize/use the themes in iDVD? I've got about 50 hours in this project, and I am pulling out my hair!
    Help, before I become bald!

well, I dragged all the audio files onto one timeline in imovie, and "shared" to idvd, and wadda ya know, the audio plays! It seems I can only get this thing to work at 1:37 am --
does anyone know why this is happening????
Will this happen on EVERY project I attempt?

  • Buzzing and Popping audio after exporting from Premiere cs 5.5

When I export a video out of Premiere Pro cs5.5, the audio has non stop buzzing and popping. I have exported hundred of videos in the past (I am a videographer) and never had this problem. I usually export high quality mov files with h.264 codecs. I have not switched computers or set ups. I run a Mac 3.4 GHz intel Core i7, with an AMD radeon HD, and I save all my files through a 6 terra lacie external hard drive--I don't think power is the problem. I tried exporting at lower quality, but that didn't solve the problem. I have now tried 4 times... can anyone PLEASE HELP?! I need to get this video to a client...

I suppose you could do it that way, but if you export to soundtrack from FCP's sequence, it "round trips"... i.e. as you change things in Soundtrack, FCP get's updated with the changes.

  • Crackly audio after exporting

Just finished a short video and I thought it was all fine but when I export the video I get very noticable audio crackle.  The crackle isn't there when played in the timeline.
I have tried exporting as a master file as well as Apple devices but get the same crackle.  I tried exporting just the audio through the master file option as an aiff and the audio was perfect.
Audio used in project was converted to 48khz and are aiff files.
FCPX version 10.0.9 and OSX 9
    Any ideas please.

Turns out it was an issue to do with my imac being connected through ONYX 1620i.
With that out the wasy the sound is fine.

  • Choppy audio after exporting

I exported the audio of my entire project, but now the exported audio is choppy, almost like it's skipping and I can't revert back to the original. I'm fustrated! Please help!
    MBpro   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

    Hey Sue,
Thanks a lot for the response. Here's the full rundown. I have a home video project that I'm working on that I imported from my camcorder. The audio I was refering to is just the sound from the video.
I found that when I rendered letterbox on my clips, the audio would just cut out and I'd have to go back to my last saved to start again. If I did just rendered a clip or two at a time to letterbox, it'd be ok, but much more than that and it'd lose the audio. I saw on apple.com that others had experienced simiar problems and the fix was to export your audio from you project, THEN render the video footage(now the audio wav portion is right below the video portion on the timeline viewer). So I exported the audio from my entire project. Now, I play back the clips normally and the audio portion is choppy and almost undistinguishable. However, when i pull the audio clips by themselves and put them on itunes, they sound fine so i don't think it was during the exporting that it happened. My project is 52Gigs so perhaps my computer is just too busy or something.
In case you hadn't guessed, I'm new to mac. I purchased a mac specifically for video editing and so far, i've been pretty jaded by all of the different issues that pop up. Hopefully once I start using it more it'll start to make more sense. On the bright side, this whole discussion board thing is pretty cool. Thanks again for the help. Any advice is appreciated.

  • Problems with audio after playback

So sorry in advance if this has been asked before but im not 100% sure on how to describe the problem im having with my audio after export. heres a link to the video- https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byffs2-9EE3bdDdWcDNVNGVaMnc/edit?usp=sharing . ***PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LYRICS ARE EXPLICIT AND WHILE THE VIDEO MAY BE OF A VIDEO GAME IT IS GRAPHIC*** So the audio sounds fine while editing and when i export the level is around -18db but when playing it back in quicktime it almost sounds like its crackling and popping and im unsure why. if it makes a difference im playing it back through some monitors connected through my UA Apollo Quad interface. thanks to anyone who can help me figure out whats wrong.

    Hi fox5urf3r,
Welcome to the forum. I would suggest that you try listening on other speakers. Sounds OK to me.
    Thanks,

  • After exporting to quicktime file, the file has sound but no video, what am I doing wrong?

after exporting to quicktime file, the file has sound but no video, what am I doing wrong?  The self contained movie box is not checked.

    Hi
Did You go via Compressor ?
Did You use QuickTime Conversion ?
    I don't
    I do
    • In TimeLine set In and Out-Points to the full Movie/Project
    • Select ALL - Clips and Audio
    • Go up to Sequence and down to Render Only - down to Mix Down Audio
    • then Sequense and Render Selected - Both (Video and Audio)
    • then Export and as QuickTime .mov (NOTHING ELSE)
    • I use to do - Not Self-Contained as it saves both time and space
Your Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk - Needs lot's of free space to work OK - I never go under 25Gb free space on this one,
Good Luck - Yours Bengt W
