Wrong BIOS in support page for Satellite A300D

Hi all,
half hour ago i was searching a driver for my a300d and i found a new bios version 2.80-win64 10/02/12
latest bios is 3.30 back in 2009
new versions are always with biggest numbers ..and never after almost 3 years
i'm not stupid enough to try this "new" bios, but there is plenty of fish :)
i hope someone from toshiba service support check this

Everything depands on drivers what you really need...
You should check the device manager.
If there are some unknown devices then use the workaround in the HowTo in order to find such driver.
To be honest there are no many different devices.
WLan, Bluetooth, touchpad are not notebooks specific
Wlan driver can be downloaded from here:

Also Toshiba tools like VAP (value added package) Flash Card support utility and similar can be installed on different notebook models
So I dont think that this is little extreme

As far as I know Toshiba European driver page does not provide any details what has been changed in the BIOS.
But I found some details on Toshiba US page.
It seems that Fn+N+1/2/3/4 debug function has been removed in BIOS 2.0 to avoid keyboard abnormal behavior.

Can't acces the drivers support page for any stream 7

Long story short, I've updated my HP Stream 7 Signature Edition from win 8.1 to win 10 TP. Everything was working fine, but because I did an update instead of a clean installation of win10 TP, I was running short of space in the C: drive, so I decided to do a clean install of win 10 TP. Now nothing is working, so I have to download drivers from the HP support page. Now when I enter the support page for any model of the Stream 7 (including the one I actually have, model 5709), I always get the same message: "We were unable to find any drivers for your product. Drivers may be in development so please check back at a later date or visit the product homepage." How is this possible? I ussed the support page, including drivers, just 3 weeks ago and every driver for every piece of hardware was there. Now its empty. Is there a problem with HP support at this time? Greetings

Hi: Unfortunately, the support pages are not working for most of the newer HP PC's. It has been that way for about a day now. Since I am not employed by nor do I represent HP, I am not sure when they will have the pages working again. Check back again some other time. With the Independence Day holiday weekend in the USA, I would not expect this to be taken care of immediately.

Support page for OSX Mavericks wrong!!

The support page instructions for printer set-up with the new OSX Mavericks update is wrong. The directions for adding my printer aren't even options I have in my system preferences.
I have been a loyal MAC and HP customer for over 7 years and this is the first problem I have ever experienced, so I called tech support to try to get the correct instructions for connecting my printer to my network.
I was told I have to pay $30 to receive the correct instructions because my printer went out of warranty.
Mind you, this printer and computer have been working together just fine without problem for over a year! There is a problem with the HP drivers or something with the new Mavericks update that needs to be corrected, and the directions on HP's website are wrong!!
Absolutely horrible customer service- charging me $30 to fix a problem that you created!! Send me the update I need for my drivers through my software updates, charging me $30 to fix a problem you created is utterly rediculous!
You have just lost someone who has been a lifetime loyal customer to HP - I will NEVER buy another HP product again in my lifetime!!

Copy and paste data into TextEdit will print wirelessly. cnn.com will print on all platforms. Chatted with HP Saturday night, tech guys said, "We are not trained on Mac systems. Please call back M-F 10-7pm. Billion dollar company can't give their tech guys Mac training?
I also have an old HP 2100M and HP LaserJet 400 color M451nw. The above website will not print. Other sites don't print either. The LJ 400 does nothing. The LJ 300 color will reboot the printer on print command from the above website. Frustrating! HP LJ 200 was returned within 30 days due to poor copying abilities. My story of frustration continues. Wish HP would come back and rise to a superior quality company!!

Need a BIOS flash boot disk for Satellite P100-240

I need to be able to flash my Satellite P100-240 from a bootable CD.
The only BIOS I can find on this site needs to be run from windows.
Ive seen BIOS 4.40 for P100 on other Toshiba sites, eg:

But not sure whether that is appropriate for P100-240.
They seem to be completely differently named. Not sure if thats a country based thing.
Will the BIOS in the link mentioned be ok to run on my p100-240??

Your notebook is NOT US series but European series and you have to use the BIOS from the Toshiba European driver page!
The wrong BIOS can damage the notebooks BIOS ROM module!!! And this would lead to the point where you wouldnt be able to boot the machine!!!
Therefore you should ALWAYS use the BIOS designed for this notebook series!!!
Furthermore you will not find any traditional BIOS updates on the Toshiba page!
There are only windows-based BIOS updates and you could update it ONLY from running windows OS.
If the notebooks BIOS cannot be updated from the Windows OS then you have to contact the Toshiba technician and have to ask for the help!!!

my toshiba is Satellite A300 PSAGCA-02Y010, bought in Sep-2008.
I'd like to update BIOS to latest 2.10 version for windows 7 ,but in Toshiba-NZ website ,I can only find 1.9 version, I do find 2.10 in Toshiba-Europe for A300, but Europe models are all different from NZ.
My question is: Could I use this europe 2.10 BIOS in my nz toshiba A300? thanks.

I would not recommend using an BIOS which is not released for your notebook model.
There are many different notebook series on the market.
You should use the BIOS which is exactly designed for the notebook model!
As you know, BIOS update is an sensible process and you can damage the ROM chip using wrong BIOS!

I have Toshiba A300D-125, when I bought it I forgot make backup CD. Now I format my hard drive and I make new windows. Problem is, I don't have all this programs what was when system it was new. Maybe somebody, who have same laptop have a backup cd (i'm sure somebody have) can share with me this CD.

Akuma is right. You can order original Toshiba recovery DVD under this address. Using it you will have factory settings again.
Other possibility for you is to install your own Vista and use all drivers, tools and utilities from Toshiba support page. On this way you can install other Vista version like Business or Ultimate.

So Ive reinstalled my Windows Vista, but graphic driver (downloaded from official website) dont works. I downloaded drivers from similar website...same problem....Vista, XP...no function.

The Toshiba ATI graphic card driver from the Toshiba European drive page works!
I dont know what you did and what notebook you have but usually there are different A300D series and you should firstly ensure that you have chosen the right series in the driver download form before you would download any drivers!!
After you have downloaded the driver, unzip it and then execute the setup file.

Drivers not available on the support page for my model

After having a hell time resolving the issue of multiply broswers opening and constantly refreshing I am now having issues downloading my driver package. During the process of trying to solve my browser problem I installed a fresh out of the box new installation of Windows 7 Ulitmate as I thought that my recovery was corrupted. In doing this I have lost all my drivers and initial software that was from the factory install. Then to top that off I have gone to the support page to load drivers from here and it doesnt work there are no drivers listing and it just keeps searching. Can anyone show me where i can download the driver package for my specific model?

If you are using IE9, you have to enable the command bar at the top of the browser, then select the Tools drop down menu and select the Compatibility View Settings.
Then uncheck the Microsoft box. I forgot what the exact box is labeled. It is microsoft compatibility list or some such.
The refresh the page.

There is a place for _one more HDD_ so i bought it, but Ihave not _a caddy to fix it inside the notebook_.
