Wrong buy , need a refund and reversal ...how to go about ?

There was a wrong buy , an app called mobile selling platform. For travel agents to do their flight booking thro ipad . . This happened by mistake , as normally when u download any app it would ask for the password , but some how this time it did not and the down loaded happened . I tried stopping the down load by putting off the power button , but still did not work . Hence this situation. I tried reporting a problem thro the link in the invoice , but to no success .error is reported . I need a refund and reversal . As I have of no use of the apps . I am no travel agent and tried calling the India office but was told that they had closed for the day . So then I posted this query on the communities to seek help in sorting this issue .....need help .

This is one instance where you'll curse yourself for not having bought the AppleCare Warranty extension and gotten the board for free.
Anyway, get your model number handy and go look up the parts in www.powerbookmedic.com or www.ifixit.com amongst other places. They've also have videos or photo pictorials on how to do the replacement. Not altogether trivial, be sure to spread the adequate amount of thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, else you'll fry the new board in short order again.

By reboot do you mean pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (after which the Apple logo should appear) ?
If you can't get the iPad to switch on then you won't be able to update its iOS version

If the previous owner can't/won't help you, then there is nothing you can do. They can reset their Apple ID password. Continually refusing to help you would indicate to me that the person who sold you the device knows it is a lost/stolen device and doesn't want to give your money back.

Hi, I am going to buy a new laptop and wondering how I get all my songs etc, over to the new laptop safely.

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

ITunes and Finder - how are info about audio files refreshed?

I am now in the process of embedding artwork in my mp3-files using CoverScout. I have also updated info about all my tracks in the iTunes after embedding the artowrk, by selecting all the files and clicking GeitInfo and clicking OK (without making any changes). All albums are displayed correctly with new artworks. This, however, is not the case with the Finder.
Generally, if a mp3-file has (embedded) artwork then the file would be displayed as a thumbnail of the artwork in question. The thing is that the icons for the mp3-files that were recently embedded with artworks are displayed as lacking artwork (they are displayed with the simple iTunes icon). Moreover, the Preview of GetInfo window does not show that the mp3-files contain the embedded artwork. The files are not refreshed. However, if I copy or duplicate those files then the copied files are displayed correctly, with the right getinfo. This, however, does not work if moving files. The files are not refreshed when moved, only when copying or duplicating.
I find it curious that Finder does not refresh the files, even after restarting the Mac, given the fact that iTunes have the information that there is artwork. Is there a way to refresh the files in the finder without copying or duplicating the files?
Another curious thing with albums containing tracks with embedded artwork is as follows: the Finder displays some of the tracks as thumbnails of the artwork in question, but not with all the files. The same goes for the Preview of the files in GetInfo. Some have the correct Preview displaying the artwork, but some lack the info about the artwork in the Preview. Why are not all files displayed as having embedded artwork, but only some, given the fact that they belong to the same album and the artwork was embedded in the same way?
The same goes when I embed the artwork without CoverScout, by updating multiple files through iTunes (dragging the artwork to the Artwork-field in Info). The Finder does not display that the files are embedded. I must copy or duplicate these files in order to refresh the info.
A more general question: how do I refresh files in the Finder? There is no refresh button, as in the Windows.

I was wrong about one thing concerning refreshing the files. I said that restarting the Mac would not refresh the files. However, if the iTunes have info about album's/tracks artwork then the Finder will also have this info after rebooting the system. My question is whether the Finder can be refreshed, without rebooting (restarting)?

I'm starting to use JavaMail just now and I don't know ANYTHING about it.
For start, I need a program that looks inside a database and if a order was flagged as DONE I need it to send a mail to the client telling him it. All the logic part to do it is ok, but I still need to send the client (or clients) the mail. How do I do it? Do I really need JavaMail API? What SMTP server shoud I use (Yahoo?)??
The thing is: I haven't found a TUTORIAL about it. If any of you can't answer the questions I just put in here, maybe you could tell me one place I can find a tutorial about it.

And as to what SMTP server you should use: You should use one you are authorized to use. That will generally exclude public servers like Yahoo and Hotmail. If you are doing this for a company then that company would usually have its own SMTP server, which is the one you should use. If you are doing it for personal use then perhaps your ISP (Internet Service Provider, the people you pay to connect you to the Internet) allows you to use theirs. Ask them.

I feel as though I am forced into repairing the iphone before I can backup the information (photos, videos, contacts). If the apple ID on the device is the same as the one on my iMac I do not understand why I have to unlock the iphone by typing in the 4 digit passcode. This is a little ******** as having the screen break seems to be the usual prpblem with the iphone, I want to be able to backup my files when I feel the obvious need to do so (eg. when it breaks)! Okay folkes, you were right and I was wrong.. I admit it. But I was pretty mad though when I tryed to backup the last few contacts I needed for work and couldn't do so. Worst things are when something gets broken (by me or whatever) when there is an emergency. I needed the contacts off of that phone real fast and couldn't do it, thats what got me real mad. And btw I am a Russian living in Moscow and instead of having an official Apple store we have shopes called ReStore who resell apple devices with ridiculous prices, same thing with the repairs. It is cheaper to sometimes buy a new iphone then repair an old one.. So there.. but I repaired it and now happy again with my apple device.. Dear Members, I have a requirement to refund overpayments of Social Security to an employee. The over payments have occurred as a result of an employee retiring in the same year they come back to work as a temp. They have two employee #'s therefore the maximum for Social Security will not be recognized until it is reached under the most recent employee number. We should not be over deducting for an employee that works for the same company. If it does happen to go through and over deduct, it is extremely difficult for the employee and employer to get the refund from the IRS. You will need to have a new wage type may be called as Social Security Refund wage type created that will act to be taxed for only Social Security taxes and should be entered on IT0015 to be proccessed such that it should refund Social Security amount only.
Also, whenever you have case wherein you need to have limits set appropriately for Social Security taxes, have it entered prior to next payroll run on employees' IT221 as adjustment run so that it updates YTD correctly and there is no excess of SS tax payment.
Also, IT221 needs to be also entered for refunding Employer amounts as it won't be reversed with standard reversal process as not being part of employees' net payment or gross payment, hence needs to be manually adjusted on IT221.
