WRONG configuration

Hey
I changed my video configuration from 1280x960 pixels to 1280x1024 and now the monitor says it is out of frequency before shuts it self down... i cant change the configuration back because all i see its a black screen..WHAT THE RECK am i suppose to do? dont want to panic..

Try resetting the PRAM. Hold down Cmd-Option-P-R while booting until a tone sounds for the third time.

Bug or wrong configuration of the Sun Ray Server+DTU+17" and 24" screenres.

I have 2 DTU, one has a 17" screen with a resolution of 1280x1024 and the other DTU has a 24" screen with a 1900x1200 resolution attached. The setting of the Sun Ray server is configured only that registrated cards, can make an kiosksession to VMware View 4.6.
When I start the DTU's, there is nothing wrong. The correct screen resolution is displayed on the screen for both DTU's. When I put a smart card into the DTU that has a 17" attached, it's indicates the correct resolution. The problem starts when I hotdesk to the other DTU with the 24" attached to, the session what was builded on the 17" will be showed on the 24". So the the resolution is 1280x1024. With this action there's nothing wrong, because the kiosksession is made on the 17" and no disconnection is made, so this is a correct resolution at this point. When I pull the card out of the 24" DTU, the screenresolution will be still at 1280x1024. It's looks like the setting will be saved on the DTU. Only a restart of a DTU will turn back the good resolution.
When I do the same as the case before, but only I start at the DTU with 24" screen the kiosksession will start at 1900x1200. When I hotdesk to the Other DTU the kiosksession is still at 1900x1200, but only this time when I pull out the card out of the 17" DTU, The DTU will give the right screen resolution of 1280x1024
the DTU's are Sun Ray 3 Plus, it doesn't matter which DTU's I place, the problems seems like that the DTU will save the last screen resolution. I got 300 of these DTU's and try a lot of them, but still the same issue.
Note: with each case explained in this thread, the kiosksession will be started at first time, the kiosksession is not builded yet or has been disconnected.
This behaviour is with a standard installation and configuration of Sun Ray server software 5.1.2. No extra script is implemented. Also I tried the UTRESIZE script that I've found on this forum, but it didn't helped.
Is this problem a bug (known issue) or is this a wrong configuration of me? This is a big issue for me

I have also a lot of fun with different screens, so I walk the "hardwired" mostly when I run into my screen does not look like correctly.
utresadm -a -c MAC -t default 1280x1024@60 ... and then this is nailed, whatever you do with this box. Very effective especially for beamers ...
what you can set, utresdef is your friend, utresadm -p show all the devices overwritten in case you need to change for a new monitor. And finally utresadm -d -c MAC -t default clears the setting.

Issue with logging to the device after wrongly configured TACACS

Hell All,
We are unable to login to the device after we wrongly configured AAA on Cisco 881 Router and unfortunately we have saved the configuration.
Can you please help to either remove the remove the TACACS configuration or how we can reset the password without erasing the configuration?

Slow JDBC calls with wrong configured DNS

We recently found out that a wrong configured DNS Server can cause oracle JDBC Clients to react extremly slow. (1 second per simple sql statment)
We have found also that if the DNS server is disabled on server side (8.1.7.1 Oracle, Redhat 6.2 server) the system responds with normal speed.
It seems for us that Reverse lookups are done for any SQL Statement sent from the client and not only for the first connection.
Does anybody know how to disable this Reverse DNS-Lookups on Server side because this may also cause a slowdown if the DNS-Server is correctly configured or all clients are defined in /etc/hosts.

Wrong configuration selected, please help !!

i have created a custom configuration for a view. but in the webui, the DEFAULT configuration is always picked.
in the F2 screen i can see that its looking for my custom configuration but , only DEFAULT i s found.
how can i solve this ? which table stores all configurations ?

The reason would be when you come to your view in the webui, it has certain config key with it and it does not matches with the custom config which you have created. So it picks up the default config key.
The best way to avoid this issue is go to your view in the webui in the same role in which you want to see ur custom config. 1. click the button in the right hand top corner 'show configurable areas'.
2. Then click on your view.
3. Then go to edit mode and click copy. SAP will suggest you the correct config in that business role.
You can match all the fields with the config you created. I think you will see that they are not matching. if it is not matching you have to create another config for that view with the same value.

My datafile are situated under a Volum Group named VgGrop01.
Top show me constant 20-30% wait io, iostat show me 98-100% utilization of vg.
Every query that perform a db file sequential read brings disk usage at 100%.
Which test i can perform to show me if there are disk or db problems?

I just updated my MacBook pro early 2011 model to OSX 10.9 and was forced to create a new user(administrator) and ended up with a different configuration. If I login with my original user name everything is back. How can I get rid of the other user name?

I have two user names with Administrator privelages and my MacBook keeps booting up to the wrong one and I have the wrong configuration since I updated to OSX 10.9. I would like to get back to my original User name which I used to boot up to. When I go to the User Groups and Preferences it doesn't allow me to delete the un-wanted user.
Does anybody have any suggestions how I can fix this? I can't seem to recover Time Capsule back-ups prior to the OSX upgrade even though I have been faithfully backing up to a Time Machine.

First of all, open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Options, and set your old user account in "Automatic login". By doing this, your computer will always log in with your old account.
Then, log in your old account, where you will be able to delete the new user that OS X Mavericks forced you to create. Other users have reported the same problem

Bad adapter engine configuration - File Sender scenery doesn't work

In file sender scenery, the adapter doesnu2019t pass any message to the Integration Engine.
When I take a look to the communication channel monitoring it shows the channel with status OK (Green). But when I look into the audit log of the incoming message I see the following error:
Received XI System Error. ErrorCode: INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR ErrorText: ErrorStack: Error in sender agreement for party , service VLTEST, interface namespace urn:damm.es:vialactea:logistica, interface oa_SimpleLine No sender agreement found for , , , , ,
The sender agreement exists in the Directory and the status of the cache is OK.
But in the Message Data I see this End Point URL: http://asrmd:8082/sap/xi/engine/?type=entry
This is adapter is attached to a development system instance number 80 and the port of the above URL is a reference to the TEST system instance number 82. I investigate this issue but I canu2019t find where the miss-configuration is causing this bad End Point.
Have anybody an idea about this problem. Itu2019s the first time I found this kind of miss-configuration.
All other adapters are working fine. The file receiver adapter is working fine too.

So now I change my point of view.
Go to Runtime Workbech --> Component Monitoring --> Integration Engine --> Test Message. Which URL is displayed here? is it right?
If don't, effectively you have wrong configured your URL of the Integration Engine.
Go to SLD --> Business Systems --> Select your XI business System. At the Integration Configuration tag check the URL, if it is wrong, change it and save the changes. Remember that the rol must be Integration Server.
Refresh the caches.

Multi-Domain LDAP UME configuration

We have EP 7.0 installed and want to connect the UME to our Corporate
LDAP (MSADS) as data source.
Our ADS is as follows:
domain.pt u2013 This is our top level domain. Here we have our main users.
Gs.domain.pt u2013 This is a child domain of ren.pt. Here are some special
users that cannot be moved to domain.pt level (because of this we have to
use multi-domain configuration)
According to some documents Step 2 of Note 762419 - Multi-Domain Logon
Using Microsoft Active Directory this configuration as to be done
according to a Multiple-Domain UME LDAP Configuration.
Following is is my configuration of LDAP access:
I have set the u201CUME LDAP Datau201D in Config Tool to point to
the u201CdataSourceConfiguration_ads_readonly_db_with_krb5_multipledomain.xmlu201D configuration file that has been previously change by me following previous documents. The xml is is the end of the message

Conclusion: We have no problem with SSO and search capabilities

portal with SSO.
Nevertheless no user from u201Cgs.domain.ptu201D is able to logon. Additionally,
using User Admninistration in Portal with option u201CAll Data Sourcesu201D

seems the the configuration file does not recognize gs.domain.pt.
Is it possible that our xml file is incorrectly adapted? Is there any
missing or wrong configuration for multi-domain LDAP access? Please

I tried to set back the "uniqueid" in the XML to samaccountname.
Also, i changed the spnego to go only to domain.pt (gs.domain.pt is a child domain).
In the 1st tests this worked perfectly, but we still to do some testings with this config.
When i get confirmation, ill reply here.

PS:. we thought on defining the abap user for each user, but there are a lot of users...
we'll try this config, and if it doesn't work, probably, thats what we'll do.

Everything seams to be working now. setting back the uniqueid to samaccountname and configuring spnego to go to only 1 domain solved the issue.
I just need to test which change did the trick.

Non approved content has wrong ordering

We have a portal with KM installed.
all folders in CM has Manual ordering, approval process and versioning
enabled.
The way we display the content depends on the manual ordering.
We have custom build all output templates for our portal, so we get the
resources via the api
Now suppose I have a folder with two content items, in this particular
order. And suppose that both Items has been approved at some point
Folder1
Item1
Item2
We use the following code to get the resources to show
//coll = Folder1s resource object
IResourceList children = coll.getChildren();
IResourceListIterator iter = children.listIterator();
//then wee loop over the iterator until we find what we want.
The problem is that the children list is ordered differently depending
on the approval status of the two Items
Case 1:
Item1 approved
Item2 approved
Order in list
Item1
Item2
Case 2:
Item1 not approved
Item2 approved
Order in list
Item2
Item1
This provides a significant problem because even though the latest
version of Item1 is not approved we still want the Items to be ordered
according to the manual ordering, so we can show the Items in the
correct way.
This change in the order of the Items is not visible in the standard CM
GUI, but only when using the api to get the resources
My question is:
Is it intentional that the approval status affects the ordering of
content items? If so, is there a work around or a different api I can
use to get the same ordering as seen in standard CM GUI.
If not, could it be some missing or wrong configuration in CM? or can
this be fixed in some other way?

Change the configurable material set against a ERP finished product

One of our users has entered the wrong configurable material against a finished product in MARC-STDPD. Is it possible to change this?

I'm not sure how changing the material type will help. What would I change it to and why? I need the material to be a ERP finished product?
I too have noticed the OSS note but wasn't totally sure that it applied to the issue we specifically have, do you think it does?

Problems of logical port configuration

Currently we made the system X8A_100 as our integration server and we designed a service interface which can dispatch the request to a function module in A1S_100, then we generated its proxy (through the transaction code SPROXY) in the X8A_105 which act as the sender after we had finished some design and configuration work. It run successfully.
And then we expose the service interface as a web service, generated its proxy in the X8A_105, it also run successfully (didn't create any logical port). But after that, we generated a proxy of the same service interface in BBT_100, it failed and threw a exception 'GENERAL_ERROR Error during proxy processing (PART UNKNOWN (NULL) )' although we had create a default logical port of the proxy. When I create logic port of the proxy, I set the value of the URL in Call Parameters tabs 'http://pwdf2655:50050/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=X8A_105&Interface=http%3A%2F%2Fsap.com%2Fxi%2Ftest%2Fabap%5ESayHello_ServiceInterface', I think the problem was caused by the wrong configuration of the logical port, could anyone please tell me how we can do the configuration correctly? Thanks a lot in advance.

I need to apply a policy that for any new router or switch installation, specific configuration will be sent to these devices through one centralized TFTP server which comply with our configuration and rules, this is to avoid any miss configuration from the team and control the junior network Engineer to add any wrong configuration that can effect the network, is this possible? I dont think is there any mechanism but yes to secure you can configure on router that tftp source interface for tftp server cofniguration upload and download into router or on server.
