Wrong country code by default

hallo,
i often visit abroad - last time i was in hungary. have now been back in uk for 6 months and yet if i dont put the country code in when trying to dial a number, it shows up as prefixed with 0036 - the hungarian code. 1--- how do i make the default 0044? 2--- if i input a uk number starting with 0044, does it think i am calling from hungary? - not funny as with the new regs, hungarian vat is 27%.

There could be a couple of issues going on here....
1. What is the number in Quito you are trying to reach? Replace the last 4 digits with XXXX, but list the rest of the number including the area/city code. Numbers in Ecuador should be dialed from Skype using this format: +593 x xxx xxxx (international country code, then the single-digit area code without the leading zero used on the Ecuadorian domestic phone network, then the 7-digit phone number). Even if you are also in Ecuador, calls must be dialed in the international format with Skype.
2. Do you have Skype Credit and/or a subscription covering calls to the type of phone you are trying to reach? Calling telephones from Skype is *not* free. Calls to landline phones in some cities cost more than calls to other cities, and calls to mobile phones cost more than calls to any regular landline phone in that country. Skype has subscriptions for 60 or 120 minutes of calls a month to Ecuador, with subscriptions for just landline phones and both landlines and mobiles (the latter costs more).

Whenever I use Contacts on icloud and enter the country code of the Sultanate of Oman (+968), it becomes (+357) and there is no way to get it straight.

Country code 357? I'm also in Oman and all my contacts suddenly have country code 374 instead of 968...

When I use click to call and say "call number" I always get a +44 country code as default. How can I make +31 the default country code instead of always have to search through the list of all countries?

I'm also having the same issue which has only been since changing laptops. Previously I could click the phone number within Salesforce.com and it will call by putting the local country code +61. Now with the new laptop, when I click to call, it calls via +64 which isn't a default anywhere.
This hhas now made making calls with Skype via SFDC impossible

Wrong default country code

I bought my Curve 8520 in Indonesia when I was living there. Now I'm back in Australia and when I call a (Australian) number in my contacts that has a 0 at the front, the phone puts the Indonesian country code in front. I have to input the number in full which is areal pain expecially as all mobile numbers start with 0 !!! Is there some way to fix this? Thanks for any help.

Here is how to set the country code:
1. From the Home screen, press the Send key.
2. Press the Menu key.
3. Click Options.
4. Click Smart Dialing.
5. Set the Country Code and Area Code fields.
6. If necessary, set the Local Country Code and International Dialing Digits fields.
7. In the National Number Length field, set the default length for phone numbers in your country.
8. Press the Menu key.
9. Click Save.

Cannot change default country code?

I'm using the latest version of Skype App on my iPhont 4s. The country code keeps +41 inside dialing tab, no matter how many calls I made. It's so annoying, because I've to change it every time before I dial. Would anyone knows how to change it? I searched it on Google, but no luck. Thanks

Its not a bug but wrong implementation by Skype. Skype would by default use regional code of iOS but they should have provided some way to override this , since people obviously buy skype to call other regions that they are not staying in. Anyway, lets go straight to fix. To change this in IOSGo to Settings --> General --> Internaltional --> Region Formatselect Country you want DEFAULT code code for in SkyPe Restart Skype .hope this helps. Change the default country code for new contacts in Outlook 2013 for countries not listed in Control Panel Region Format

I would like to change the default country code for new Outlook 2013 contacts. My country is Mozambique (+258) and is not listed under Control Panel> Region> Formats> Format:
Is there any place (registry maybe, anywhere) where I can manipulate the existing formats or manually add a new format to the List ??? - for example Portuguese (Mozambique).
I am using Windows 8.1
I have tried changing the country on the phone and modem options and nothing changes. Also changing the Home Location on Region> Location to Mozambique didn't change a thing. The only place where I change something and produces results is the
Format List.
Any ideias???? If not, is there a place where I can ask Microsoft to include Portuguese (Mozambique) on future windows updates???

You can change the country/region to

Default country code for phone

Hi,
When editing new phones, the sistems suggest me the country code for united states, however i have my locale to spanish. How can i make the system to suggest a default country code for phone numbers (example uruguay)?
How can i do a mass update to change the country code? is there anyway to do a mass update for more than 50 records?

thanks bob, is there any way to make the the system to automatically enters a country code for my country Uruguay? there is no locale for uruguay, so when i choose locale spanish spain or spanish mexico it automatically adds the country code for spain or mexico.

Lightroom 4 GPS/ Country Code questions

1. If you import an image with GPS data, Lightroom 4 will add appropriate values for Sublocation, City, State/Province, Country and Country Code. Is there a way to add this data to existing files while retaining history?
You can write metadata to files ([Ctrl][S]), remove those files from Lightroom and then synch folder to reimport them. That reimports them with all modifed settings but without their history. Is there another way that retains the history?
2. Is a google map link available for a GPS location of a photograph?
In Lightroom 3, you could click on the GPS location and that took you to a Google map page with a specific web link that you could then publish, eg on a blog. You can copy and paste the GPS location into a Google map page but that does not give you a web link you can use.
3. Is there a way of publishing a map?
Is there (or will there be) any way of exporting a map page, say as a jpeg?
Is it OK to take a screen dump of a map page and publish it, eg in a blog?

All the images with no Development changes will now have location descriptions.
Now you can update the images with Development changes without affecting the History.
Filter for Develop Settings = "Custom",
select an image (or several at the same location),
filter for Develop Settings = "All" and
synch GPS settings from an adjacent image with location descriptions.

Satellite L750D - Cannot register warranty due to country code

Unsure if this is an appropriate question BUT...
I am trying to register my L750D Notebook for warranty and it will not accept my country code.
I live in Australia so the country code is 61. I live in South Australia - code 8 and my phone number is 83xxxxxx.
So I have tried to put the code in as 61 then 8 then 83xxxxxx but it will not accept it.
Would anyone know what I am doing wrong?
I have also tried about 30 other ways of doing it?

Hi Bindhu,
1. You are able to see country field populated by default since for your user the parameter LND has been set to a default value.
To check the same go to transaction SU01, put your username and enter. Select tab Parameters, in column Parameter Id there must be an entry for LND and default value must be assigned to it.
You can also see the same in System-> User Profile --> Own data.
2. The field is in display mode because of field groupings.
In transaction SPRO
SAP Implementation Guide -> Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Field Groupings
For one of the option here Address: Country must be set to display. e.g Configure Field Attributes per Activity
Here choose Create, for dataset Addresses, field group Address: Country must be set to display. If not check in others.
If the above 2 are not found, even Badis can be responsible for the same.

How to include my country code in the begging of every contact

Dear all,
i have phone contacts in a table with 13000 records, i want to update them and include my country code (968) in the beggining of every phone number.
the length of our phone numbers are 8 charracter excluding country. like a typical phone number is below
92752155
i want to include 968 in the begging
96892752155
problem is that some numbers are short than 8 charachters, some are long then 8 characters (wrong data entry).
i want to update only those numbers which have 8 character length, and dont have the 968 in the begging.
how could i do that?
i am using oracle 10g on windows 2003 server.

How do I disable or delete the country code prefix

I'm in Mexico and want to call another Mexican city ant skype keeps adding 52 before my number. Apparently it thinks I'm in the States and will need this code. How on earth do I just type in a phone number without a code? I don't need a country code to make this call. Actually this new "feature" of automatically adding a country code prevents me from using Skype. Help anyone? Thanks!

You always need to start phone numbers with the country code when calling from Skype. Take a look at the instructions for calling landline or mobile phones: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA20/how-do-i-call-mobiles-and-landlines-in-skype-for-windows-deskt...
Best to save phone numbers in you Skype contacts starting with the country code. If you are calling numbers via the dialpad you can change the default country via the dropdown next to the number field.

RHINTE30 is showing up a wrong job code in IT0001

Hi All,
Issue u2013 RHINTE30 is showing up a job code in IT0001 which is not even maintained at position level ever .
We have situation where RHINTE30 keep on updating IT0001 with a Job code, which is not even associated with the position ever. We have checked all HRP1000 and HRP1001 entries associated with that position but the Job code showing in IT0001 was never ever associated with that position.
So not sure how RHINTE30 picking up wrong job code.

I have checked in the system for user exits ZXPADU01 and ZXPADU02 but there is no defaulting happening for IT0001.
Also, I can not delete the created record coz the issue is occurring in Production system.
Please let me know is there anything that I am missing to check ??
I am trying to replicate it other system but not able to replicate completely.

Foriegn trade Country code in Billing document

Hi,
Can any one guide me how the country code is populated in Billing document Header under Foriegn trade/custom tab.
As we are facing issue with this, in one billing document with germany ship to party the country code is being populated and the other billing document with U.S ship to party country code is not populated.

As u said my problem is not with the Transportation and Incompleteness, In the Billing document header level beside the Ship to party address the Country code is not being populated for other than germany customer.
SAP Help says
The country key contains information which the system uses to check entries such as the length of the postal code or bank account number.
The two-character ISO code in accordance with ISO 3166, which is delivered by SAP as a default, is usually used.
It could also be the vehicle license plate country-code or a typical country key, for example, in Germany the Federal statistics office key.
The country keys are determined at system installation in the global settings.
Since the country key does not have to correspond to the ISO code in all installations, programs that differ according to certain values of the country key cannot query the country key T005-LAND1, but have to program based on the ISO code T005 INTCA.
