Wrong credit card used

Twice have I changed my payment information to a new credit card number, and twice the system seems to accept the change on my Account Page....
...until I make my next purchase, and find my "old" credit card was used once again.
Anyone know a trick of some sort to get the music store to pay attention to my account info? Perhaps I should call the old credit card number and tell them NOT to accept charges from the music store?
Might that wake 'em up?

If your new CC info isn't taking, you might want to try removing everything first and saving it that way (just edit your billing info and select "None" as the type of credit card). Then go back in and put in your new credit card information.
You might also want to make sure that all your account information is good in Apple's MyInfo. Things like duplicate shipping addresses, phone numbers in the wrong format, and all that can cause your account to act funky on the iTunes Store.

    When using the API, are you trying to create the order as booked using the booked flag or the book action?  I would recommend using the action if you are not. To troubleshoot, I would try the API without booking and then use the following article to determine the issue:

    You cannot. To open an account on a different iTunes country you must have a valid credit card issued from a bank in that country. You must have a billing address in that country, as well.
    There are reasons why some apps are not available in all iTunes stores.

    When you make an In App Purchase, the iTunes Store should use any gift balance or account credit first. You may still be asked to verify the payment information on your account before completing the purchase.

    To the best of my knowledge system will not store the CVV in R/3 database when an order is saved.  Anyway you can have a look at  Note 841259 - CVV values saved to the database

    Hello, I just signed up for the Free Worldwide Unlimited Skype Calls for 1 Month (Calls to Landlines) offer using PayPal. However, I accidently used an old credit card which no longer exists for the pre-authorisation. I assume the pre-authorisation will therefore fail. Will I need to redo the pre-authorisation so that I can still keep the offer? How would I do this? Thanks

    I purchased a book through ibooks with my ipad.  I did not authorize a credit card to be saved and did not set up an account but it was there.  I did not intend to purchase the book and assumed they would need to ask me for payment - the book went through.  Now I do not know how to cancel this card so I will be asked for payment in the future.

    You can't delete a credit card unless you replace it with another.
    Simply enter some incorrect information if you want to stop the card being used.

I am pretty sure apple could track this and help the police, but I am not 100%. I would just like to know what you all would think on this issue? Will apple be able to track the purchases?

    I'm not sure what you mean by "track". The account will certainly show a record of purchases as well as the name and address information provided by whoever opened the account, should that be factual. What they can provide the police or the credit card company and whether they could find the account just by a credit card number I don't know, but I do know that they would only respond to the police or credit card company; your friend wouldn't be able to request any such information him/herself.

    My card was stolen and now I have a new one.  So I need to change the card information used for my subscription, but I can't.  I've been trying for days, using different browsers, computers, etc.  Contacted chat support with no results.  Who do I need to call to get help updating my credit card?
    The message I get is "Card is invalid, please check card details"
    I have only 4 days left in my subscription.

    Customer Service is completely incompetent with this type of issue. You will eventually speak to someone who does not have a good command of English, and judging from the background noise, is sitting in some kind of low cost "boiler room" operation that Adobe noiw considers to be adequate to service their paying customers.
    I spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to do the same thing. I have work to do, and eventually had to hang up. The chat line reps have to power to do anything but read from their FAQ cards.
    It must be nice to have a virtually monopoly on computer software...you can treat your customers any way you want and not have to suffer any consequences.

    iTunes is not showing the correct credit card information in my daughters account.  It shows it is associated with a family share and does have my account correct but when she is trying to make a purchase it asks for the security code from a previous card I had associated with iTunes.  This card was replaced.  It is correct in my account.  How do I get this corrected?  She has put a gift card on her account and now cannot use it to make her purchase because we can't put in the security code it's asking for!

    I had a similar problem (speaking from the perspective of your daughter, as someone who is not the "organizer" of the family sharing setup). When I signed out of iTunes (or the Mac App Store) and then re-signed in the new credit card (the organizer set) was there and things were back to normal. Hope that helps.

    I suspect that the issuing agency (bank, credit card company, etc.) may be refusing to process Skype purchases because:
    the credit card is in your wife's name and not yours;
    as you are traveling, the credit card company suspects a fraudulent purchase and is blocking it; has your wife contacted the credit card company to advise that you are authorized to use the card for purchases, and that you are traveling?
    Please start with asking your wife to clear transactions that you are attempting to process.  Best practice would be for her to add you to her account, and order a credit card in your name for which all purchases would appear on her statement.
    Adding you as an authorized user would also accomplish this.
    Last and certainly not least, please contact Skype Customer Service to enquire if there may be further issues to resolve.  We here in the Community are not authorized to resolve these types of issues, as our Community Guidelines explains.

    Hey!! I ordered an iPod Nano through online Apple US website, using my US Credit card. While the order was in process, I got an email saying that the billing address is not associated with the credit card I used. I want to change the billing address on the order.

    On your computer launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / View My Account then select Edit Payment Information.
    Make sure your billing information is correct including the expiration date and security code if you are using a credit or debit card then click Done.
    Restart your computer.
