Wrong day on answerphone on BT Synergy 5500

Can anyone tell me how to change the actual day on the base station.  The time and date are correct but I cannot find any insruction in the manual how to change the day.  The recorded (incoming) messages are announced either as 5 days late or 2 day early - which ever!
Thanks in hope

  • BT Synergy 5500 Answerphone problem

    Hi, I bet it's simple. I have bought a BT Synergy 5500 3-phone system and it is working almost perfectly. The Synergy answerphone cuts in after 6 rings as it should, but If someone phones whilst I am on a call, the 1571 answerphone cuts in not the Synergy one. I have now had the 1571 service turned off (I didn't want it anyway) and if someone calls whilst I am on the phone they now get the engaged tone. Why doesn't my Synergy answerphone cut in whislt I am making a call? I can't find a solution in their copious pages in their user guide., Can you help?
    Jeff M

    I would say 1571 answers when your line is busy but dose not need the line to operate whilst the synergy needs to use the line which is busy
    So its 1571 is at the exchange synergy is other end of the line at your home

  • Bug: Repeating Google Calendar Events Show Up On The Wrong Days

    I've created a Google Calendar event that repeats "Daily," every two days, from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. It shows up fine in my Google Calendar, but the Pre's Calendar puts them on the wrong days. For example, the repeating event that should be scheduled for today shows up tomorrow (offset by +1 day).
    I tried turning off network timezones, but the bug remains.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is a bug, how can I submit it to Palm?
    Thanks!
    Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)
    Some new data:
    If I create the repeating event on my Pre, rather than via Google, it shows up on the Pre correctly. However, it only shows up for one day via Google (today); the event is not repeated. When I edit the event in Google, it's setup correctly. I tried saving the event from there, but it doesn't cause Google to recognize it should repeat.
    Very frustrating.
    Even more new data:
    Created yet another event via my Pre instead of via Google. This time Google picked up the correct repeat pattern, and my Pre now shows it on the correct days.
    Calendar sync needs serious work, based on my experience. I have issues with Facebook events showing up an hour later than they should, too. Dunno if this has been fixed yet.
    New Data (01/28/2010)
    Not sure why, but the above success reverted back to being off by one day; temporary success only.

    Hi, another quick question: you say you turned off network timezones.... did you make sure that the (now manually set) timezone is correct?
    Sounds similar to other issues related to the timezone being off, but usually the appointments were off by hours... not day(s).  However if your timezone is set to something really odd and the event you're creating is around midnight (again depends on a few things here), then MAYBE this is it.
    If it isn't, one of the support guys will have to chat with you privately about possibly collecting logs, getting more granular details, etc.

  • Calendar events on wrong days

    I am baffled. I sync my iPhone 3G with my PC's Microsoft Outlook. My events are correct in Outlook, but many of them show up on the wrong day on my iPhone calendar. These are both repeating and one-time events.
    For example, I have an all-day event for the start of Daylight Savings Time. In both Outlook and the iPhone, it shows as a repeating event "Every year on the second Sunday in March". This year, that means Sunday, March 13, from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM. But on the iPhone, it is showing as occurring on Friday, March 11, from 12:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Even though the repeat is correct on the iPhone.
    I have tried the sync option of replacing the entire calendar on the iPhone from the Outlook calendar and it does not fix the problem. I've also tried reboot and reset to no avail.
    Any ideas?

    I tried some other things like
    1. Un-sync the calendar from Outlook and let iTunes (10.2.0.34) delete all my events from the iPhone's calendar.
    2. Confirm iPhone calendar is empty.
    3. Reboot the iPhone. Confirm iPhone calendar is still empty.
    4. Re-sync the calendar with Outlook. Confirm iPhone calendar is populated.
    No joy. While most events are correct, many are not.
    My iPhone calendar is now unreliable. It even shows St. Patrick's Day on March 16!
    I've reported this as a bug on the feedback page. I hope it gets fixed soon.
    If anyone has any ideas for fixes or workarounds, I'd love to hear them!

  • Entourage 2008 full day events displayed on the wrong day

  • LG Extravert - Verizon Mobile Email - Google Calendar - All Day Events showing on wrong day

    I have an LG Extravert.  I installed and setup the Verizon Mobile Email application.  I added my gmail account.  I successfully pulls in my gmail calendar - BUT any of the events that as "All Day" events in google end up displaying on the wrong day on the LG Extravert.  If I drill into the event on the phone - it displays start and end times for the event.  Why does it do anything with time for an all day event?  and if it does (for some reason) still use times - why are the times off?  The timezone setup on my phone and google accounts all match.
    Please Advise...

    I am using the features of the Mobile Email application... I couldn't find a way with the Extravert to integrate directly with the calendar application.
    If a create an all day event on the phone... it looks ok in google... but when the phone alerts me of the event... it says the Start Time is 1:00 AM.  It seems like the Mobile Email Applications calendaring is not able to correctly handle All Day events.

  • Address book rotating date feature sets wrong DAY

    Has anyone noticed that the rotating date setter in address book does not work properly. When you try to set a Birthday date - say 22nd it will end up at say 20th always a couple of days wrong. Even setting on Imac and synching it will sync wrong DAY - month and year are OK.
    Weird or What!

    Interestingly, I also have this problem, and I also live in NZ... (hi ppls~)
    After reading the posts in this topic, namely Holly's posts about problems occuring between Nov to Feb, I went and changed someone's b'day several times to see what happens.
    What I found out was b'days that are set on or before October 29 display correctly, but b'days set on or after oct 30 display one day early.
    Daylight saving for 2005 starts on the 2 of Oct, so it probably isn't to do with that.
    The other thing I found out, is if you have a b'day set to the first of march, it disappears. It doesn't display at all.. until you go to a leap year, such as 2004. There you will see that the b'day is set to the 29 of feb: one day early. But it probably isnt' related to the 29th of feb, because birthdays set on or after 6th of march are correct, but on or before the 5th of march are a day early.
    Now... one more thing i found out is that if your week starts on sunday (as set in the preferences), the 6th of march is the first day (sunday) in the second line of the march 2005 calendar. The 29th of oct is the last day (saturday) in the second to last line of the oct 2005 calendar.
    This may be a coincidence, but highly unlikely.
    These dates don't change if you change the year to 2004 in sys preferences. Maybe it's just a freak bug, or maybe it can't be fooled by simply changing the year in system prefs..
    I agree with Andy Burson, though, one day early is better than one day late

  • BT Synergy 5500 Cordless phone SIM card backup

    When I bought the above phone earlier this year, I eventually got around to finding an old mobile phone SIM card and inserted it into the base unit of my Synergy 5500 and copied the phonebook contacts to it.
    All has been fine but on several occasions I have altered entries in the phone's phonebook and copied them over again to the SIM card. Now I realise that there are only so many times I can do this as it says it's full now.
    My question is how can I delete the SIM's contents so that I can start over again?
    Solved!

    Id just pop the sim card into your mobile and use the functionality of your mobile to delete the content on the sim card.
    Having said that, you can go online to virtually any mobile provider and have payg sim cards sent free by post. I keep a couple myself for exactly the same reason.
    Many thanks for that sensible answer. I had stupidly assumed that each copy of the phonebook to the SIM,  would have overridden the previous one held there - goodness knows why, though.

  • Reminder app reminds on wrong day and has double entries

    My Reminder app gives reminders on the wrong day.  For example, I have a weekly Reminder set for Wednesday.  It reminds me on Tuesday.  A weekly Thursday reminder may remind me on Friday.  I cannot delete and reinstall this app because it came with the iPhone 5S.  I have weekly, monthly and yearly reminders and don't want to lose them and it will be burdensome to list them all and start all over again.  Also, each reminder is shown twice even though I did not enter them twice.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

    Hi marge1118,
    Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
    It sounds like the Reminders app is not working as expected, and is also showing duplicate entries. You're right that the application cannot be reinstalled, although there are several initial troubleshooting steps that may help.
    If your Reminders are stored in iCloud, I recommend going through the troubleshooting steps in this article first:

  • "sim format not supported" on BT Synergy 5500 DECT

    hi,
    just purchased a quad set of BT Synergy 5500 DECT.
    however during set up I've been unable to import contacts from sim card.
    I've tried two different sims, both "3 Ireland"
    However both fail with a message "sim format not supported".
    Could anyone provide some assistnace, as the Sim read functionality is the only reason I choose this model.
    thanks in advance!

    Hi Irishgrover,
    Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. I’ve contacted the BT Synergy 5500 helpdesk and they’ve advised that if the screen states "sim format not supported" then 3Irelandis not compatible with the phone. I’m sorry about that.
    Cheers

    Hi! I have problems with my calender. The diarise of dates is sometimes not authentic, dates dissapeare or were put on a wrong day. Who can help?

    Don't worry I've sorted it! I just had to turn off Reminders as well in iCloud. Calendar then worked fine, even when I turned Calendar and Reminders back on.

  • DAY() Returns Wrong Day!

    Have a column (H) set to date format. I enter many (many, many) dates into the cells of this column in this format: 1/5/8 which is wrong, should have been, 1/5/08. If you just do "8" instead of "08" you'll get a year of "0008". In an attempt to fix this I start by adding a formula to cell J2 to give me a cell with the date of H2 but with the year set to 2008, like this:
    J2=DATE("2008",MONTH(H2),DAY(H2))
    Where H2 contained "Jan 8, 0008".
    The result was "Jan 6, 2008"!
    More...
    9/1/8 becomes Aug 30, 2008
    9/2/8 becomes Aug 31, 2008
    9/3/8 becomes Sep 1, 2008
    Off by 2 days in all cases.
    I think it starts getting off when the date is somewhere around Oct 14,1582. Dates after this seem to have no error but dates before this do, sometimes. For example, in cell B4 I see the error at the Oct 14-15,1592 dates but in other cells I do not. Talk about weird. Extra weirdness: entering "10/10/1582" into some cells and it'll set that cell to Oct 20,1582 once you hit enter. (If you're a historian you probably wouldn't want Numbers to record anything about Columbus.)
    Would someone see if they can duplicate this?
    Enter this formula in the C column (start at C2) and fill down for several rows:
    =DATE("2008",MONTH(B2),DAY(B2))
    Then enter your test dates into cells in the B column. See what you get.

    The problem is not with year 1582.
    Under 10.6.1, its with dates before 1/1/1583
    Enter such a date in cell B2
    In cell C2 enter =month(B) you will get the wrong 12
    In cell D2 enter the formula =day(B) you will get the wrong 30.
    In fact its perfectly normal.
    The used calendar is the Gregorian one which started at the end of 1582.

    +Funny annoying behavior.+
    +If I run Numbers (tested only with versions 2.0, 2.0.3 because I've no longer v2.0.1 and v2.0.2)+
    +In B2, I enter a date this way:+
    31/1/8
    +I get the date 31 janvier 0008 which seems to be the normal behavior.+
    +Under 10.4.11, if I use the formula:+
    =DATE(2008;MOIS(B),jour(B))
    +I get a correct 31 janvier 2008+
    +Under 10.6.1, I get the wrong:+
    +30 déc. 2008.+
    +It's not really surprising because+
    +=mois(B) returns 12+
    +and =jour(B) returns 30+
    +Same behavior with an English system.+
    +Of course it's a bit annoying.+

    +04-Oct-2009 05:42 PM Yvan KOENIG:+
    +In fact, I understood that, as the used calendar is the Gregorian one, the results are not silly.+
    +Given that, it would be useful to change the behavior of Numbers when we enter 1/1/8 (in fact every entry with a single digit for the year).+
    +After all, it would not be odd because entering 1/1 returns correctly 1/1/2009+
    +and applying the formula =Date(2008,MONTH(B),DAY(B)) returns 1/1/2008 if B is blank ;-)+

    +A 2-digit year value greater than 50 is displayed+
    +using the prefix 19; otherwise the prefix 20 is+
    used.
    +For example, 1/1 displays as Jan 1, 2008, and Jan+
    +05 displays as Jan 5, 2008.+
    +I read it as+
    +A 2-digit year value greater than 50 is displayed using the prefix 19+
    +A 2-digit year value smaller or equal than 50 is displayed using the prefix 20+
    +but maybe it's due to my poor English. After all, my understanding leave the case s of a single digit undefined +

    Check the number of days if it is set to 2 days before.

  • SignatureInfo.Date Displays wrong Day

    When I sign a digital signature field on a PDF form, in the properties window, the date is showing as "2010.02.24 10:25:40 -06'00'"
    However, when I extract the date programmatically, it's returning as "2/3/2010 10:25:40am"
    Does anyone know why the day is 3 weeks off or just wrong in general?

    I'm signing using a Topaz Digital Signature Pad.
    Here's the code of how I'm extracting it:
       '*** PDF Initializing Variables ***
        Dim AcroApp As Acrobat.AcroApp
        Dim formApp As AFORMAUTLib.AFormApp
        Dim acroForm As AFORMAUTLib.Fields

            AcroApp.Lock("TEST")
            avDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc") 'New Acrobat.AcroAVDoc
            Console.WriteLine("Object Created")
            bOK = avDoc.Open("C:\TEST.pdf", "Admission Document")
            ' GET PDDoc
            pdDoc = avDoc.GetPDDoc
            pdDoc.OpenAVDoc("C:\TEST.pdf")
            jsObj = pdDoc.GetJSObject
            If (bOK) Then
                formApp = CreateObject("AFormAut.App")
                acroForm = formApp.Fields
            End If
            field = acroForm.Item("Signature1")
            If field.Value <> Nothing Then
                Info = jsObj.getField("Signature1").signatureInfo()
                MsgBox("Signature1: " & Info.date)
            End If
            pdDoc.Close()
            avDoc.Close(True)
            AcroApp.UnlockEx("TEST")
            AcroApp = Nothing
        End Sub
    I basically open the document, get the PDDoc, get the JSObject, check to see if the signature has been signed, and then message box the date for testing purposes.
