Wrong description language of BW objects in planning modeler

I am using the planning modeler in language German.
Every button, menu item, etc. is displayed in German.
Nevertheless, for all the BW objects (e.g. Infoprovider, filter, aggregation levels, etc.), the English description is displayed.
This mix is not wanted and annoying, because English texts are not maintained.
Is this a bug?
Is there any possibility to display the German BW object descriptions?

Could you check the itens below?
- Check the language settings in your browser
- Check the language settings of your user in the BI backend
- Check the language settings of your portal user
- Check settings in the JCO destination BI_MODELDATA for the language.
- Check the language in web dynpro content administrator
- Maybe you also use a fixed user for JCO connection and then that
users language would be used.

Hi,
Client requirement is to show a variable description for an info-object depending on a user login.
e.g. a Characteristic Name is Level1 with a description as 'Level1'. If a user in Canada logs in and see a BEx report he should be able to see the description for infoobject Level1 as 'Cost center'. A user in US may wish to see the description as 'Expense center' etc. etc.
Is it possible to do so ? If yes please let me know ASAP.
Do not get confused with language dependant texts.

I don't think it is possible through standard functionality, but maybe you could try a workaround.
Create a Characteristic (say COMP) with text, and compound it with Infoobject Level1. The values and description for COMP could be
US Cost Center
CN Expense Center
You could make COMP an Authorisation relevant object and check the same with regard to user login, so that the people of sepecific country see only description relevant to their COMP.
In the report Display COMP as Description and Level1 as Key.
But do not that compounding may have an impact on the performance, also look into the implications of the same if you need to do it for a large number of reports/objects.

Maintain language-dependent MIME objects

Hi all,
I have created a web dynpro view where an IFRAME is embedded which displays a PDF document. The PDF is uploaded as a language-dependent MIME object (so it also appears in the 'MIMEs' folder in SE80). Everything works fine.
But how to translate resp. uploading different language versions of the PDF? In the log. document properties I have set 'Translation-Relevant=Set'. In my understanding it should be possible to use one single PDF name in development, upload different language versions and depending on the logon language the right PDF language version should be displayed. But I cannot find anything in SE80 or SE63. Who can help?

How to change original language of ABAP objects?

HI,
I have created a BADI and an interface in R/3 release 6. I created the BADI in original language German, but by mistake I created the interface in Original langauge English.
Is there a way to change the original language of the interface to German? I tried editing and activating the interface in German logon, but it did not help as teh Original langauge of the interface remained as English.
Is there any SAP report which would help me to change the original language of ABAP objects?

Here's the way out:
Step 0. Delete the object
Step 1. Delete the object directory entry(If it says entry doesnt exist, recreate it - ie. the object dir. entry)
Step 2. Login to the language of choice - In ur case 'DE'
Step 3. Recreate the new object
Voila!!! Original Language changed

Any insight/help will be greatly appreciated.

Arthur suggestion works but you shouldnt even be doing this on a SQL Task.
Use a data flow task. You'll have better control over the data that is being transfered and get better performance because no staging table will be used.

Wrong Description in the sales Deal

Hi Gurus,
when VB23 executed after sales deal is created using VB21, we are getting wrong description for region at the customer level . On debugging we found that the standard program is passing only zone value into the table whereas it should also pass VKORG and KDGRP. this is happenig through the
standard include MV13AKOM which has a functional module SG_TEXT_OF_FIELD. Through this function module the region value is passed.
We found that user exit does not exists for the above transaction VB23.
Please suggest how to do changes in std program and whether it is advisable.

    (French has been supplemented with German so far and should be
    supplemented with English in the future.)
    A: To avoid mixing the languages, this is not permitted.

0CO_PC_01 Cost Object Controlling: Plan/Actual Data

I have a question regarding Cost Object Controlling: Plan/Actual Data (0CO_PC_01). I know nothing about the R/3 processes and tcodes behind this datasource.
For a given material and a given plant do I only get records with VTYPE(Value type for Reporting) 10, but I do not understand why - I need VTYPE = 70.
I therefore hope:
1. That somebody could provides input on why I only get VTYPE = 10 and how I get 70 instead.
2. That somebody can tell me the tcodes behind this datasource on the R/3 side.

The problem is that we have got VTYPE 30 (target) for some materials, but not for specific material A and we really do not understand why. Do you know how I can verify if the variance is present for the given material A in R/3?

Problem While calling Planning Modeler thru T Code RSPLAN

Hi All,
     When I am starting the planning modeler and after entering the log on details on SAP Netweaver, the web is showing blank tabs of Info Provider/Aggregation level/etc.. Only blank tabs are appearing without any data.
       I have gone thru the SAP Note 919850 (Problems with Planning Modeler..) but it didn't help. Also let me know that is their any connection of plannning modeler with the BI Web Template Maintenance??

Hi Amit,
You need the following authorizations to work on planning modeler.
Authorization objects for business planning:
S_RS_ALVL: Authorizations for working with aggregation levels
S_RS_PLSE: Authorizations for working with planning functions
S_RS_PLSQ: Authorizations for working with planning sequences
S_RS_PLST: Authorizations for working with planning function types
S_RS_PLENQ: Authorizations for maintaining or displaying lock settings
Also you need to be on SPS12 for the input ready queries to work effectively.
Some times there could be an issue with the JCo connectivity between the Webdynpro and the BI system.The user assigned to the JCo destination for BI metadata in webdynpro does not have enough authorization in the BI system.
The above authorizations would sort and also check with your Basis team about the JCO.

If you right click on org unit select create option.
Select position & create the position you want to create.
You can transport the org unites & positions thru SE38.
Use programme RHMOVE30
Select
Plan version 01 Current plan
Object type O Organizational unit ( S fopr positions)
Select "tanport object" fo Transport screen.
You will be able to create the request.

Error after Save Plan Data in Planning Modeler

I'm working with IP NW 7 SP16.
Scenario:
I added a KF to Real Time Cube. Re-activated this cube and Multiprovider.
Made corresponding changes in Aggregate, re-activated.
All these objects look OK.
Planning functions work fine. However then I SAVE Planning Data in Planning Modeler (Planning Sequence) I get an error:
An exception occurred that was not caught., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
The OSS Note 1057548 refers to SP 15 ( I'm on SP16).
I guess something nedd to be regenerated. I ran RSPLR_GENREP_DELETE_ALL with FUNC1
but it didn't make any difference probably because the Planning Funcitons work OK.
Any suggestions?

could you also regenerate the artificial queries MULT/!!MULT where MULT is the name of your Multi-/Infoprovider/AggLevel in transaction RSRT.

No InfoCube visible in the Planning Modeller in BI - IP

I have been facing a problem with newly installed BI 7.0 system for Integrated planning.
I am not able to find any of my real time Cubes (all in plannning mode) while searching in the Planning Modeller.
my scenario is
BI 7.0 Patch abap SP 14 and Java sp 12.
My java engine is on the EP & all my BI webreports are opening fine from EP.
I have tested my J2EE engine , it is working fine.
also my Webdynpro is also working fine.
But i am not able to find out the reason why the integrated planning modeller is not able to search for my Realtime infocubes.

I have found out that these 4 parameters in WebDynpro in my EP dev

WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
SAP Notes suggest that the destination in these notes should be BW dev system.
But in my EP system , i have found that they are actually pointing to my ECC 5.0 system. THis is correct?
or should make the changes for it to point to BWD instead ?
would it not affect my existing ECC reports on the portal.
also some notes suggest that my SLD sytem should show my BWD in the technical systems list, if not i should create them.
But unfortunately it is only showing the EP dev, EP prod system in the list . there is no BWD system in the list .
SHould I create a new tech system for my BWD ??

For eg. you have characteristic relationship between two characteristics Product and Product Group with following valid combinations:
Product | Product Group
'#           |     Juice
Juice 1   |    Juice
Juice 2   |    Juice
Here, if you set checkbox 'EXCL #'. then the first combination which has '#' in Proudct will not be considered as valid combination by system.

Invalid value for variable 0calyear in planning modeller

Hi Experts,
I have an urgent requirement. In my planning modeller I have a variable for 0calyear for accepting current year and target year. If I give target year(for example, 2015) which is not present in 0calyear it is showing error that 2015 is an invalid value for 0calyear. If I give 2012 it is working fine because it is already present in 0calyear.
I would like to know how we can solve this issue. To forecast data anyway we have to enter a future year. I would really appreciate if anyone could give some information to solve the issue.

Just a thought.
Can you load a flat file data with year values into a DSO with 0CALYEAR as key? ( SID generation as active ).
What I am expecting is this flat file load will generate SIDs for 0CALYEAR in future year as well.
Subsequently if you try to enter that in your planning variable it should work.
I understand this is not a perfect solution. But want you to try and adopt if this is a reasonable work around.
