Trim mode 'wrong frame' problems when using merged clips

Hello there,
We are having a problem with the trim mode on FCP 6.0.4. We're working with 1080psf 24 Apple ProRes 422 material, captured using a AJA Kona card.
The sound and picture were recorded separately, and synced manually (by creating merged clips) in FCP.
When we go into the trim window, it shows a different frame as the incoming or outgoing frame on some clips. In other words it's not actually showing us the real frame before or after the cut. Instead it shows a frame that's half a second back, for example. When we preview the cut, it cuts in the 'right' place, but when we pause and try to fine cut the transition using +1 keys (or trim back/forward keys), it shows us the wrong frame. When we preview it again, the cut is still in the 'right' place - not the frame represented when it's stilled. This makes using trim mode nigh-on impossible since it's not actually showing you the frames you're cutting.
Are there any patches or workarounds to fix this issue? I can't find any fixes on forums/help sites or the FCP manual.
Tried trashing prefs, repairing disk permissions and all the usual maintenance stuff!
Exporting new Quicktimes of the merged clips and then re-importing them is not an option, as they need to be timecode accurate to be recaptured for the online and vfx work.
Any advice would be much appreciated - if no solutions exist we'll have to switch everything over to Avid, and that'd be a mammoth job.

You may not be zoomed in enough in the Timeline window, the more you zoom in, the more detailed edit you can perform. Zoom out too much, and you won't have the sensitivity.

How fix the UO52 wrong Printhead problem? Have lost days of work trying.

How does one fix the U052 wrong printer head problem? I have cleaned the heads, and yet the alarm light is on, and the printer will not do anything. This is costimg me time and money big time. I tried everything I can think of. How does one make the printer print, which I know it can do, and get past this hurdle? Any tips will be welcome.
I see that there is a "Call to Arms" on this issue, so it is a Canon failure dysfunction plaguing many people. I have 2 Canon printers, and a Canon camera. I am about to swear off Canon printers if I cannot get help with this problem soon, and warn anyone not to get one! It is ruining me financially trying to deal with this. Please help. Thank you.

My brother never syncs either and that's not good. Should sync often if not every day. So, given that, as far as your apps go, did you remove any apps over the last year and you just forgot? If so, when you synced with your computer it simply deleted the apps from your phone. Not being snide just a thought.

Adjust wrong depreciation problem

Asset A is purchased in 2007.1.1, useful life 10 years, straight line, no residual value, in 2009.1.1, it is transfered to asset B and asset A became zero, after transfered to asset B, should we adjust asset B useful life to be 8 years or should we adjust depreciation start day to be 2009.Jan .2?
Previously, we didn't realize this depreciation problem, thus we didn't adjust asset B, the depreciation is wrong, in Nov, we realize the issue, so how to adjust the wrong depreciation charge from 2009.Jan to 2009 Oct?

This calculation all depends on your depreciation keys and period controls. Does Asset A and B should have same depreciation key/ useful life? While transferring Assets A to B you could have transferred those depreciation terms too. If you want to correct depreciation in Asset B now you can use either Unplanned (ABAA) or write-up (ABZU) depending if you want to increase or decrease depreciation.

Did you try logging into outlook for the affected user and see the results ?
Did you try for one more user or the issue is happening for just one user ?
You can run Get-MailboxPermission on the affected mailbox and see if there are any permissions missing
Also i would suggest you to run Test-MAPIConnectivity -server mailbox1 | fl and see the results
I think the mailbox might be missing few attributes like exchangemdb,home server etc
Try recreating a new mailbox in Exchange 2013 and see the results

Hi,
It looks that you have maintained excise data of material in Excise Rate Maintenance table at J1ID for cenvat credit. Hence the excise duty is not getig loaded on the material as mentioned in your correct entry. Also pl. check excise rate maintained for the chapter id.
Normally price difference account gets hit when the price of material at the time of GR & that at the time of IR is different. Pl. check whether invoice has been posted for the material with different price.

Migration Assistant Wrong Password problem

Hi,
I cannot login after using Migration Assistant to move user account from iMac to MacBook Pro. I reinstalled system with erasing all previous data. So now I have one administrator account (the one I moved from another computer) password which works on previous computer doesn't work at laptop at all. I reinstalled system again (without erasing the disc). Password didn't worked again. Now after putting Install Disc and pressing "C" during restart laptop ejects the dvd...
Are there any other options ??? :-/
I've just read that different versions of system (both Leopard) may cause this problem but how to reinstall system now?
I've read that migrating from newer version might be a problem...

instead of using c, try holding down option. you want to hold down option right after the computer chimes. Keep holding option till it gives you choices like "Macintosh HD" and "Install DVD"
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1274 explains how to use the system disk to restart the password. try clicking on "Resetting the original administrator account password." (assuming you can get the cd to work)
if you reset the admin password, and you can't login
try resetting the root password. reboot to the disk, choosing login as other user. user name "root", and what ever password you set root to.

BP wrong creating problem

I created a new "BP Type Person" having some addresses fields as oblitatories.
When I saved it, it did with errors, because some of those obligatory fields weren't field up.
Now I'm trying to erase it, and I doesn't let me.
The message appears:
Data of business partner contains errors or still warnings and therefore cannot be saved. Person doesn't exist 10558
If I try to fill the address fields, -> Internal error - ADDR_PERSONAL_COMPLETE_INSERT call error.
I can search and find it, even open seeing the Address Tab, but not erase it.
I tried with bupa_del transaction already, with not luck.
Advise? , thanks.

BP is not saving because of error in Address tab.
i think Go to the function module ADDR_PERSONAL_COMPLETE_INSERT and fill the details it will fill the address details tab, then save the BP.

Wrong Navigation problem

I have a simple facelet page which display user information on the top and user agenda list on the bottom of page.
In the agenda list user clicks on an agenda and should go to agenda edit page,but instead of going to agenda edit page it returns to user profile page with empty values!

Did you put <h:messages/> in the page to check for any errors, like missing required values?
Does the mathod #{agendaForm.edit} definatley return a String value of "edit"?

[SOLVED] Inkscape and python-numpy problem.

When I'm trying to use the perspective tool in Inkscape I'm getting this message.
Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected.
Failed to import the numpy or numpy.linalg modules. These modules are required by this extension. Please install them and try again. On a Debian-like system this can be done with the command, sudo apt-get install python-numpy.
I got python-numpy installed, and was asking around in #inkscape, they think it has to do with a wrong path problem with prefix or exec-prefix(?).
I tried to run Inkscape inside /usr/lib/python3.2/site-packages/numpy, but I'm getting the same message. Also tried to run as root... nothing helped.
Any idea's?

It turned out to be a python2/python3 version problem. I just had to install python2-numpy to fix this.

Item level security, workflow and tab problems

was wondering if someone could help us out with some problems we are having. We need to up and running over the next two days so anyone who could get back to us pretty quickly would be greatly appreciated.
We are actually having a couple of issues which all revolve around three
groups we have created (for simplicity we have only attached one user to each group). Here are the steps we took:
Problems adding content:
a) Added the three groups to the page group and gave them view access.
b) Turned on approvals and set group3 as the approver.
c) Added the three groups to the page and gave them view access.
d) In the page properties, I enabled item level security.
e) Added an item content area to the page.
f) Added three pieces of simple content
g) For content item1 I granted granted full access to group1(Own, manage, view), for content item 2 I granted full access to group2, etc.
h) WHen I log on as a user in group1 I only see content item1. HOwever, when I edit the page I find I cannot add any items as user1.
i) I went back to the page properties and changed the access of all three groups to "manage items with approval" but let the item level security as it was.
j) When I logged on as user1 I found I could see all items now when I should only have seen content item1. What the hell? Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?
Problems with item level security on tabs:
a) Repeat steps a) through d) above.
b) Create a content region and add three tabs: Home, Work, Life.
c) On the Work tab changed portlet region to item region.
d) Added three items with security exactly as I did above.
e) When I signed on as user1 I saw all three items when I only should have seen item1. What the hell?
f) I monkeyed around with the secutiry at the tab level but it didn't seem to make much difference. ANyone have any ideas what is going on here?

Does the library have versions enabled? Also are these logins occuring within word/excel etc?
If there's multiple login prompts which occur even if entering valid credentials what does hitting escape (after the first prompt) achieve, does the document open anyway?
There's a situation where Office will prompt for credentials if you open a document when you've only got read access but there's a version history (to which you don't have access). This is to allow you to enter more highly privelidged credentials if you

Problem in working on 2 sql session :: data become inconsistence

I follow below steps in sequence and land-up into inconsistence data.
Suppose I have a table EMP (EMPNO , SAL ) with record (1, 100);
Session-1
I execute below command and deducted 70 from sal. This Deduction is valid
since sal > 70 . I didn’t COMMIT.

The session-2 hangs (in waiting state) since session-1 has locked the record.
As soon as session-1 releases the record (i.e. commit data in session-1) session-2 completes,
which actually give me WRONG value .Problem::
Despite EMP=1 has sal = 100 , 2 transaction occur first for 70 and other for 50.
When I use::
SELECT ….. for UPDATE nowait , I am able to get rid of this.
Can I use NOWAIT option directly in my UPDATE statement?

SELECT ….. for UPDATE nowait , I am able to get rid of this. I agree with the others, it is giving the correct value for what the code is doing. The "wrong"ness comes from how you have written your code.
The point of using a "FOR UPDATE" on your select statement is to say "I'm selecting this data with the intention of possibly updating the same" which therefore tells Oracle to hold off actually selecting the data until the table(s) are in a state where you won't get an inconsistency. Currently, you are letting oracle select the data regardless (i.e. not showing any intention of updating it) and then you are updating the data based on a "dirty" read. It is this dirty reading technique that is at fault if you are really intending to update based on what you select.
The NOWAIT option shows your intention to update the data, but also says you don't want to wait for other transactions to complete. In this scenario Oracle will read any rows from the table that have not yet been locked by other transactions and allow you to continue your processing for those rows. This is fine if you are working specifically on data identified by primary keys, but could lead to indeterminate processing if it's a more global select/update scenario without specific keys; i.e. you couldn't be sure which of the transactions will process which rows of data as it will come down to a timing issue of which transaction gets any particular row first.

Prime Infrastructure 2.0 email charset problem

Dear all,
I have question regarding Guest portal managed through PI. Everything is set, but only one thing doesn't work as I expected.
When I make an account and print it, everything looks fine. When I sent it via email, then enconding of mail is wrong.
Problem is, that PI gives Charset : ANSI_X3.4-1968 (can see in email header).
I would like to have ther (in email) : CP1252 (or UTF) - basically something what can interpret national characters.
I have found this about similar problem, but absolutely have no idea where set it up.

I see now, this is a poor carry over from NCS. The option that says include "controller" in email does provide the switch hostname. Hopefully by version 3.0 they will have all the wireless naming fixed when it applies to converged.

But marshall and unmarshall are ok.
In order to comform the schema, I modify Poll.java again.
Change @XmlRootElement to @XmlRootElement(name = "Poll")The result is I can generate the right case element now("Poll").
But I get the exception simultaneously, unmarshall is not ok

Hi,
As far as I know Oracle are porting Developer R6 to Linux.
We're also anxiously waiting for it to be out.
It should be out in 2 or 3 months.
About CASE I don't thing anyone will port it to linux.

Ablum artwork problems

First off sorry for the way I'm posting but I can't find the make new thread button for some reasson.
Second, I'm going to be talking about audible files in itunes and ipod.
Itunes have the right artwork in it, but when I bring it up on my ipod it gives me a different one and I go to another one to see and sometimes it the right one and sometimes it not, but then I went back to see if the artwork was fine for the one I just check and it changed to another artwork that doesn't relate to the area at all. Everytime I do this it rotates the artwork or something. The only thing I did differnetly was I enable the disk function on it and it seemed like it froze so I unpluged it. I know that I should have unplugged it but it wasn't working it seemed like and it was late.
Got any ideas how to fix this problem. It only seems to be with the audible files on the ipod. The purchased and podcast files are fine as fall as I can see. Thanks for the help.

If your iPod is set to update automatically give this a try , it usually sorts out wrong artwork problems:
1. Connect your iPod
2. Disable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.
3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes.
4. Re-enable "Display album artwork" in iPod>Music tab and click Apply.
5. Syncronise the iPod again.
