Just loaded ios 5. Can't verify iclod because it's sending confirmation email to old email address. Anyone?

    I have the same problem. I changed my email address with itunes, & the icloud website knows it too. but the icloud on my iphone still has the old one & wont allow me to change it. I can change the password but the email address is grayed out so I can't change it. I have tried signing out via the store on my phone & back in but it made no difference. Help!! I keep getting error messages about the photo stream ..but I don't know what I can do to correct it. HELP!!!

    When I go to access my icloud, it needs to be verified but the problem is that the email is wrong. For some reason it is at gmail.edu but my apple ID is at gmail.com. I have tried deleting the account and signing back in with my apple ID but again I run into the same problem. Have never used my icloud because I have not been able to change the email in the icloud verification. Please help!

    To change the email address associated with your Apple ID, do the following:
    Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com), click "Manage your Apple ID", and sign in.
    If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you are unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
    In the "Apple ID and Primary Email Address section," click Edit.
    Enter the email address you want to use, then click Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that address.
    Open the email from Apple, then click Verify Now in the email.
    When the My Apple ID page opens, sign in with your renamed Apple ID.
    If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID.

    Hello,
    I cant open icloud, it says verify your account.
    When i click on send email to account, it sends a mail to [email protected]
    But i cant login on that because it aint veryfied.
    When i click on check email. it opens my Hotmail.com account,
    But i dont get any mail or verify mail in that, either in spam box or anything else.

    i Did click on send to email adress but i cant login on that email adress,
    i dont know why but i think the @me.nl doenst excise or something?
    i also tryed  to send to my resceu mail and then it says This email address is designated as your rescue email address and cannot be used as your Apple ID or Primary email address. Please choose another.
    its really weird but i dont know

  • Stuck in set up off iPad Air entered in wrong email address for icloud account

    i have just bought a brand new iPad Air my daughter was helping set it up for the first time - straight out the box and typed in the wrong email address - she left out a b in the email address. she noticed straight away but now we cant find a way to change the email address it seems locked in. we are not even finished with the set up process. we keep going to start over and we start  by choosing region etc but then when we get to enter in  the Apple ID thats already filled in and the only option is to give  a password but the password is for a different email address. please help how can i go back to factory mode and completely start the process again. as i said we are in the middle of set up havent even gotten past the Apple ID

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
    DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
    3. Repeat the process if necessary.

  • Wrong email address in iCloud but I can't access

    The carrier who we bought my daughter's iPhone from put in the wrong email for iCloud. Now, because the email is misspelled, I can't get in to change it on her phone. It's stating iCloud Drive is updating but because I can't log into it, it won't change and everything is faded and gray, not allowing me access to ANYTHING! For the money we paid for this phone, I'm pretty ticked that I can't get it fixed. When I contacted the phone company, they told me I had to contact Apple, they couldn't help me. Which makes me mad because they are the ones who screwed this up! How can I fix this?

    Do you mean that the email that comes up and asks for a password when you are attempting to download an app is not what you are expecting it to be? Is it your Apple/iTunes ID that is showing up?
    The separate iCloud account that you have for your Mail account may or may not be the same as the Apple ID that you use in iTunes.
    Can you clarify?

    It says verify your account, but when i want to do that it opens my email. Named [email protected],
    But the problem is that it wont login on that email and it opens my other email adress of hotmail.
    I dont get any mail in that hotmail account, and i cant login on @me.nl
    What can i do to get icloud worked, i tryed alot of things

  • Cannot receive email to verify iCloud set up

    I would seriously like some help on this as I have totally messed up and have lost my iCloud account !
    I did have iCloud set up but was have problems with mail (infact still am, but thats a different story) so I have recently changed my Apple ID settings and no longer able to use iCloud.
    The problem is in order to verify the iCloud account I need to access my @mac.com email address which I am unable to do ! I can log into iCloud.com with the Apple ID but no mail is comming to the @mac.com address even though its is there in the preferences list on iCloud.com.
    Trying to recieve anything in Mail is a total no go as that is where my original problem started but as I said that is a different story.

    I already had an Apple id for itunes and have bought the iphone 6 when i went to icloud and entered the same email address (or so i thought) i can't verify the icloud account as it's says "[email protected]" and i should have used "[email protected]" Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm a 56 year old mum.

    Why is it that in order to use Icloud you need to verify your email account and password, but its impossible to accomplish.  Is this a function of busy servers or what. Thanks.

    This malfunction is a waste of a million man hours waiting for an email from Apple.
    I guess we will find out if iCloud is worth the wait when the servers get finished buffering the mail stream.

  • Wrong eMail used during iCloud setup.

    Ok, i'm really hoping someone can help me here.
    I will try my best to descibe the problem and hope ye understand.
    I wasn't there at the time so I can only go by what he said and guess the rest of it.
    My Nephew got a 2nd hand iPhone4s and while he was setting it up it asked for an apple ID to set up his iCloud account etc.
    He wreckons he put in his apple ID and password (we'll call this [email protected]) but it kept saying email/appleid already in use.
    Now, in his eagerness to start using the phone, I believe he must of then started to use (or may have already been using) the create a new Apple ID option.
    So when signing up he kept it close to his original Apple iD email and used (we'll call this [email protected]) and also entered a password.
    Heres where the fun begins the new email ([email protected]) was not a functioning email address, and of course he has forgotten what password he used.
    Now we can't delete the account or reset the iPhone because he can't remember the password and I can't reset the password either because I haven't a clue what email (if any) he used.
    So as you can imagine, a bit like this thread, I'm going around in circles with no luck.
    So if you understand any of what I have just written.....Any suggestions?

    Go to http://iforgot.apple.com - I understand you don't know the email, but it may present you with the option to answer security questions instead.
