Wrong ipod color displayed when I sync with iTunes
Anyone know a way around this? I own a white iPod video classic 30G. I had the battery changed a few months ago, and since then, when I sync with iTunes, it shows up as a black ipod. I'd appreciate any information anyone has! Thanks.
Is the serial number the same as you sent in? Did it look better when you got it back than it did when you sent it (no scratches, etc.) Apple often times just exchanges them for refurbished units and I wonder if you got a refurb that accidentally got the wrong color face plate installed.

Try swiping your finger across the podcast then tap Delete.

Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

Are you using the original cable that came with Nano and not your iPhone's cable? Have you worked through the troubleshooting in this Apple support document?

Fourth Generation iPod will not stay in Sync with iTunes
My wife has a 20GB 4th generation Ipod that she uses everyday. Every 2-3 weeks the some of the playlists will not play. When entering a the playlist it will advance through the entire list and then will go back to the main menu. This does not happen with all lists but when re-syncing with iTunes it will work for a few weeks then start again. Any Help?

As I said, you won't hurt a lithium-ion battery by not fully charging it prior to use. These batteries don't have a "memory" like older nickel cadmium batteries do so it doesn't compromise it's ability to fully charge by using it with only a partial charge. You also can't overcharge it; your charger will go into "trickle" charge mode once it reaches about 95% charge and remain that way. If you want to wait to use it, charge it overnight. If you don't, just charge it for a couple of hours, the fully charge it once you don't need to use it for a while. -

Why does a blank On-The-Go playlist appear when I sync with iTunes?
Whenever I create an On-The-Go playlist on my iPod classic, a blank one appears when I sync with iTunes. If I have 2 On-The-Go playlists created, one blank one appears when I sync with iTunes.
Sorry. I'm looking now and I'm seeing it in my library. I just thought it wasn't there since it was downloaded on my phone. But what you said worked about deleting it from my library. Thank you so much!

My 2nd gen IPOD touch will no longer sync with itunes. it tells me it cannot read the contents of the ipod then it says the ipod software server cannot be contacted. Any suggestions?

Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
Then try restoring again. -

Hi, I can't seem to get my ipod 32gb 4th gen to sync with itunes. It's brand new, but everytime I plug it in it says can't access Itunes store and nothing else happens. I enabled my firewall to allow itunes but it still can't access the store. Please help.
If you look at the feed, and look at the entry 'The end to an exciting field season in Aulavik National Park' you will see the line:

You have not closed the 'pubdate' tag - there should be a '>' as the 9th character. Because the tag has been left open, it invalidates everything which follows it, and thus the entire feed. iTunes therefore cannot read it, which is why the Store has not updated. Add the '>' and republish, and all should be well.
It's always worth checking your feed by subscribing manually, from the 'Advanced' menu, or by clicking the 'subscribe free' button on the Store page (both do the same thing) - if you can subscribe to the feed it should be OK. -
