Wrong movie is highlighted

I don't know how to word the subject in such a way to search for what I want, but I will try to explain it.
When I put the DVD in and the menu comes up, I have four options. The first option should be what is highlighted automatically. Instead, it's the second option. This is true for other pages as well. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

Hi
There is no simple cure.
Highlight is related to in what order You imported Your movies ti iDVD.
Medicine. Re-do the project and this time import the video in the order You want
it to be highlighted.
I know of no Hack to do this - Anyone ?
What would happen if You select the box diagram view in iDVD and try to move around
the boxes in anoter order. Does this take effect ?
Yours Bengt W

    Hi Michael,
    I'm glad iTunes is working now!  If you want to locate iTunes plug-ins on your computer, you can find them in the following locations (you may not have the iTunes Plug-ins folder if you do not have plug-ins):
    Mac:
    /Users/username/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
    /Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
    One thing I also wanted to mention is that the "Users/username/Library" is hidden in Lion and Mountain Lion.  You can access it using these steps:
    OS X Mountain Lion: What is the Library folder?
    The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library.
    You can find the full article here:

  • DVD either plays wrong movie file, stops while playing, or won't play

    Hi, everyone. I'm pretty new to Macs, having got a MacBook a couple of months ago. I just made my first dvd using iDVD, and it played perfectly in preview, but it has all kinds of playback problems. In addition to my main feature, which I made in iMovie, I included a few .mov videos from my digital camera, created a slideshow using iDVD, and, for kicks, put a single image of my cat with a caption exported from Power Point (for Mac) to play before the title menu. (Ah, yes, the newbie likes to play with new toys!)
    Problem 1: I placed the newly burned disc in my mom's HP laptop to see if it would play, and we chose Real Player to play it. At first nothing would play, but we tried a couple of buttons, and then the dvd started. But, instead of the pic of my cat I expected, one of the .mov file began to play. It then went on to the title menu as it was supposed to. However, none of the buttons would respond to the mouse or the keyboard.
    Problem 2: Wondering why that was going on, we tried the Windows Media Player, QuickTime, the HP QuickPlay player, and a 4th player on her laptop I was unfamiliar with. None of them worked. I even tried ejecting and reinserting the disk each time, Finally, Real Player would not play the disk on a second try.
    Problem 3: I put the dvd in a dvd player hooked up to a t.v. The same incorrect .mov file played, followed by the title menu. I started the Main Feature (iDVD movie, 30 minutes long); it started, but then after a couple of minutes, the video just stopped. I hit play again, and the same wrong .mov file played again. Any time I went to the title menu and clicked to play any of the .mov files or the slideshow, the same single .mov file played.
    I am using some DVD+Rs 4x that my friend gave me (the videos are for her). They are the CompUSA brand, which she apparently uses all the time. I've never had a dvd burner before. I encoded for Professional Quality, chose Single level dvd, and used widescreen aspect ratio in NTSC mode. There are 46 minutes of content in the project, and the little arrow on the Capacity meter is just a little over the halfway mark, still well within the green. The content size is 2.43GB; I have 111.53 freespace.
    If anybody has any idea of what when wrong, I would appreciate it. I have double- and triple- checked everything I could think of, and read every help topic I could find, and I can't find anything that I did wrong.
    Thanks.

    My suggestion is that you use the 'crawl before you walk' and 'walk before you run' approach.
    Don't try a 'kitchen sink' project before you have cut your teeth on a couple of simpler projects. If you don't want to waste a DVD, just create a disk image file (an option under FILE in iDVD) and play it with the Apple DVD Player application.
    The only sure way to test your DVD is with a set top DVD player hooked to a TV set. There are too many strange variables associated with the many Windows DVD playing applications.

    It sounds like you put the files in the wrong locations within iDVD. (Look at the MAP view for positioning.)
    Try a simple first project.

  • Apple Tv is playing wrong movie.

    Apple tv is playing wrong movie. Very strange. I select the movie or tv program I want to watch but it plays a completely different one. I have airplay on, if I take it off the problem stops but every time I pause then hit play a different movie or even music plays on my computer at the same time. It;s driving me crazy. Whats going on?

    When it stopped playing, what happened. Did the screen go blank, the video just freeze or did it go back to the menus, could you otherwise use the Apple tv or not.

  • Command delete no longer moves to highlight next filename, What gives?

    I often rapidly review filenames in my documents folder using the down arrow in the tree view with a preview of the documents first page at the right  ( what follows also applies to the album view).    In snow leopard I could use command delete on a filename and the OS would immediately move the highlight down to  the next doc in the alpha list.   In Lion when I delete any highlighting of filenames entirely disappears and will not reappear till a click on a new filename.
    Needless to say this slows down my quick review & deletions to a snails pace.  This cannot be an improvement in the interface unless Apple thinks we have all become dimwitted enought to repeatedly hit the delelte without looking.

    You are asking why command-delete doesn't highlight the next file after the one you just deleted?
    I don't know what "Album view" means, but in the Cover Flow view the desired behavior occurs on my computer.

  • Which shortcut can I use to move the highlight in a dialog box to the first field in the dialog box?

    I am working with FrameMaker 10. There used to be a keyboard shortcut  for moving the highlight to the first field in a dialog box. Without  this command I do not know how to move the highlight to the field I want  to modify. I assume the highlight is on a random field when my script  enters the dialog box.

    In iPhoto
    You need to switch Photo Stream on from System Preferences > iCloud not from iPhoto.
    See instructions here >  iCloud - Learn how to set up iCloud on all your devices.

  • ILife 11 - IDVD burned the wrong movie.

    After installing ILife 11 I built a church service movie in IMovie, shared to ITunes (due to sound sync problems with other options), then added to a new project in IDVD. The movie looks correct when viewed in IDVD both in total and specific chapters. During the burn process the thumbnails from the correct movie shows as the process continues but, the completed DVD contains an entirely different movie.
    Thus far ILife 11 has given me nothing but problems in what previously had been a simple process that I had done dozens of times. It has also caused me to waste many hours and supplies.

    The iDVD version in iLife '11 is the same as in last two previous versions of iLife. So IT hasn't changed.
    I've never gone the 'shared with iTunes' route. I'm not sure what kind of issues THAT approach could cause.
    Did you actually CREATE a new iDVD project for the adjusted movie? Trying to modify an existing project can cause problems. (Which could certainly lead to the wrong movie appearing on the DVD.)
    It has also caused me to waste many hours and supplies
    Computer programs are fussy and want you to do things their way. Rather than waste more DVD discs, make your burn to a disk image file (an option under FILE in iDVD); double-click on the .img disk image file to mount it on your desktop; and play it with the Apple DVD Player application. If it's correct, you can burn it to writable media using the Apple Disk Utility application.

  • I ordered an On Demand Movie ... But The WRONG MOVIE Appeared !

    We had decided to watch "Shutter Island". Searched for it by title and found it on the On Demand list. Clicked on the "OK" button to rent the film. But the wrong movie appeared! Something named "The Call". Pessed the stop button. Next the screen returned to a menu display that read on the right side of the screen "Shutter Island" followed by desription... "Directed Martin Scorsese,""starring Leonardo Diapprio," etc.  But a poster on the left side of the screen showed another movie completely, one named "The Call".
    I searched again for the title "Shutter Island."  This time I noticed that there were TWO movies listed as "Shutter Island." One displayed the wrong poster again, "The Call". The second on the list showed the correct poster for the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. So I rented it, knowing that I'll br double-billed, and will now have to remember to check my bill and then call and argue with Verizon billing people.
    What a PITA.

    OK.  Now that makes sense and that's what I figured.  I will stick with my DVDs.  My DVD player still works very well and I have no intention of replacing it unless it goes.
    I am really not a fan of *not* having a physical hard copy of music on a CD or a movie on DVD.  OK, so a movie you buy "on demand" gets stored on Verizon's servers but then what happens if there is a problem with the server or if you have to stop doing business with Verizon Fios because you move to an area where only cable is available?  Then what?  At least with a hard copy, it's always mine, it's durable, it can last forever, I can watch it anytime, and I will always have it to view regardless of what kind of system I have.  I think it's a lot nicer too to have a physical collection of music and movies.  It's tangible and it makes a statement about ourselves.
    I think the quality of CD music is far superior than music that gets downloaded from Pandora and even with physical DVDs, I find they're much easier to control (with the pause and fast forwarding) on a DVD player. With an on demand movie that I rent, the pause button will only stay on for so long or if I stop the movie and come back to watching it later, I still often have to fast foward and back track to where I left off.
    I'm only mentioning this because there are pros and cons to any technological innovation and I don't believe that "newer" is necessarily better.  And far as having a hard copy is concerned, think of the reasons why we back up the files on our hard drives and why even in college, I always saved my papers on the hard drive and on a floppy disk.  OK, so now we have "flash drives" but in my honest opinion, the logic of keeping a hard copy for the long haul is really still the same in the end.
    It's just food for thought.

  • I bought the wrong movie I ment to buy HD but got the wrong one. How do I switch?

    I hit the wrong button on two different movies I ment to get the HD version but bought the other one. I don't want to have to by the movie all over again.

    There are no exchanges/refunds.
    You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception.

  • Import FLV-- get wrong movie size

    Importing an FLV file from Media Encoder into Dreamweaver CS4 page. Always get the wrong media size unless I'm using FLV-- same as source in Media Encoder. The results are very low in quality with that option. Otherwise I get a black letter-box image with black bands above and below the move.
    I've done this 3-4 times with other movies on the same equipment and it always worked before. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks

    To upgrade or not??? that's a choice only you can make.
    Final video file size is perhaps not as important as choosing the correct display dimensions and video bitrate for you target audiance and THEIR Internet download speeds.
    As for "quality" as it relates to bitrate.... for your review:
    Video bit rate
    Video bitrate is the minimum amount of data that must continually flow into the video player in order for the player to display that particular video uninterrupted. If that supply of data is not high enough, the video player will stop…. Wait for more data to download, then resume. The video bitrate is set as a parameter when the video is encoded.
    One of the principle of goal setting is to "Begin with the end in mind". In this case it'll be very hard to give good recommendations because the end is not defined. So I'll just make a few assumptions and you can correct me as needed.
    First, I'll assume that since you are converting to Flash, you want to deliver this video over the Internet. If that's true, then we'll have to make some assumptions on the Internet connection download speeds of your potential viewers. Let's just say that most have at least a 1.5Mb connection or faster.
    OK, that would mean that a video bitrate of half that should usually provide a video download that is not interupped by buffering (most of the time anyway). So assuming a video bitrate of 750kbps, what would the optimum display dimensions be?
    Before we decide, here's a little info about bitrate. For highest quality playback, the video bitrate is tied directly to the display dimensions. That is, the larger the display, the more incoming data is required to properly display the video. Think of bitrate in terms of a can of paint. If you have 1 quart of paint, you might be able to do a very nice job on a 32 X 24 foot area. But if you try to stretch that same amount of paint out over a 64 X 48 foot area, the coverage will not be nearly as good and you get poor results.
    In the same way, a video displayed at 640 X 480 pixels will require 4 times the bitrate as a video displayed at 320 X 240 pixels to produce the same quality. So for example a video with a bitrate of 100kbps, displayed at 160 X 120 will produce the same quality results as a video with a bitrate of 1600kbps if displayed at 640 X 480.
    So to boil it all down, video bitrates of 750kbps, even up to 1000kbps can usually get delivered of the Internet on most high speed connections. Higher bit rates may work for really fast connections but will cause problems for viewers with slower connections. Video display size has a direct bearing on the final quality. In the 750 to 1000kbps range, display size should be kept around 450 or 500 width max (and whatever height the aspect ratio calls for). Yes it can be displayed larger, but the quality will suffer.
    Sound like your audio settings are fine, especially for Internet delivery.
    As for framerate, maintain the original raw video framerate for best results. So if the video was shot at 24fps, leave it.
    As for video converters, do you have the Flash 8 Video Converter? It works just fine for video to be delivered over the Internet. Remember, you are taking a Cadillac version of video (h.264 HD) and stuffing it into a Chevy body to get it to work over the Internet.
    Best wishes,
    Adninjastrator

  • HT1657 If you rent the wrong movie and don't download it can you receive your credit back?

  • Purchase Orders - Subcontracting wrong movement type 545

    First of all this is not about asking a clarification of what is MVT 545 or MVT 543
    I'm asking why the system is behaving in this way however there is no BOM for the material or even negative indicator
    Dears ,
    We are facing a problem regarding subcontracting purchase orders , as for the same Material & same Vendor , some times while we are receiving purchase orders the MVT 545  shows up instead of 543 , This happen automatically and we ca not change it , However for other purchase orders for the same Material & Vendor it shows up MVT 543 which is ok for us
    We need to make sure that the MVT is 543 while we are reviving , So could you please clarify the reason of this system wrong behavior
    Note : our purchase orders are a reference to a PM order
    The problem is that we didn't create any BOM for this material , and the second thing that some POs for the same material work fine and posts with MVT 543 not with 545

    Here is the pictures
    Firstly Here is faulty PO components
    and here is while trying to post GR , the MVT 545 shows automatically
    Secondly Here is normal PO components
    and here is while trying to post GR , the MVT 535 shows automatically which is normal for us

  • Flash player plays wrong movie after opening with Rosetta

    Hi,
    I just had the most peculiar experience. Tried to open a [flashmovie].flv (which in hindsight could be done with Quicktime), Flash START popped up, followed by a pop-up requiring a Rosetta installation. This is the first time I came across Rosetta. Installed it, tried to open the flv again, this started the flashplayer alright but it started a completely different movie.
    Opened the same file in Quicktime and that works fine.
    Can anyone recommend what to do? Do I have to deinstall rosetta and the flashplayer to prevent this kind of behaviour?

    Rosetta could come in handy for other apps you have hanging around, so I suggest you leave it where it is.
    To make movies open in QuickTime, select one and press Command-I to open the Information window. In the Open With pane, select QuickTime Player from the pop-up menu. Then click on the Change All button below, and click on the Continue button in the "Are you sure" dialogue box that appears.
    You can then throw away the Flash player, unless you prefer it and the developer comes up with a Cocoa/Intel version.

  • Red Eye- wrong movie

    The movie poster for Red Eye is linked to a different movie of the same name. Will they switch it with the correct one (Cillian Murphy starrring)?

    If you find that the red eye blotched out more than just the red in the eye the photo in general may have more red in it than others. One possible way around it is to use the Temperature adjust slider to temporarily make the image cooler in appearance, use the red eye tool and then reset the temperature back to its original setting. That can reduce the overflow of the red eye tool.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Wrong movement in a warehouse with a united handling enabled

    We have a warehouse with a united handling enabled. The problem is the user used the transaction MB1B  to transfer a  material,  but  he  should have used   the transaction  HUMO. This operation has generated a transfer order, delivery of documents and so the picking was confirmed.  Today we  have  a five pieces    of this material   in  MM and WM,
    Than we need  to eliminate these  five units of  MM and WM  and  eliminate the delivery  generated  too .
    One  possibility is transfer  the stock to  other storage location  that is possible to do a inventory ,  but  it  was not  posslible.
    How can  I transfer this stock in this case ?

    I have solved the problem with a low priority task that polls the cursor position in an infinite loop :
    public void run() {
         String old_coordinates = "";
         while(true) {
              int x = text_area.getCaretPosition(), y = 1, off = 0;
              String s = text_area.getText();
              while(s.indexOf('\n', off) > -1 && s.indexOf('\n', off) < x) {
                   y++;
                   off = s.indexOf('\n', off)+1;
              if(!old_coordinates.equals((x-off+1)+" - "+y)) {
                   old_coordinates = (x-off+1)+" - "+y;
                   coords_label.setText(old_coordinates);
              yield();
    }
