Wrong number of members in a TG. Infoset query vs Segment Builder.

Hi gurus,
I've discovered an issue in our CRM System (BBPCRM 600) and I have no idea of how to solve.
For our marketing segmentation, we've created a Infoset (SQ02) with a link between standard (BUT000, CRMD_ORDERADM_H, CRMD_OPPORT_H) and custom tables. Over this infoset, I've created an infoset query (SQ01).
During our test, we've noticed the following: Using the same filters in segment builder and in infoset query, results are not the same!! Segment builder adds more partners to our TG's and even these partner doesn´t met the filters!
For Example:
Using POSTING DATE from CRMD_ORDERADM_H as filter: From 01/01/2014 to 01/312014.
Using infoset query, all partners I'm getting are correct, all of them have CRM operations for this date interval.
However, using this same filter in segment builder, the resulting list of partners has one more than query list...and this partner doesn´t have any operation for the chosen internval.
How is this possible? Why results are not the same? Any ideas? Is there any BADI for segment builder that must be checked?
A lot of thanks!!

Solved!!
I was wrongly using AND/OR options to add filters in the segmentation tool...ups!

  • Infoset Query Wrong result after removing document number in the drilldown

    Hi Friends,
    I have 2 oDS,billing ODS and Condition ODS.I have created an infoset query based on these two ODS.
    From my Billing ODS i need QTY and from Condition ODS i need Value,Discount etc.
    Since there are more than one record in condition ods for each and every document of billin gods,i have divided the qty using number of records in the query.
    Im getting wrong qty if i run report based on customer or material,but if i drilldown based on document im getting the correct quanity.
    Can any one help me..
    Thanks & Regards
    Sudhakar

    Thnaks Oscar and Ganesh for your interest.
    FYI,my infoset is created based on bill doc and item number which is available in both the ODS.
    Here,for every document in Billing ODS,there are more number of documnets in Condition ODS,so the bill qty is getting added according to the numvber of records in Condition ODS.
    Eg.Billing ODS: Doc Num:100012, Qty = 8.if 10 records are ther in condition ODS,then in the infoset my QTY becomes,
    Doc Num:100012, Qty = 80.
    So in the query i divided it by number of records to get the qty and is coming correctly for documnet wise report.
    Problem comes when i remove documnet from the report and drilldown to higher level,say material,then it is calculated wrongly.
    Your suggestions plz..
    Regards

    Also note that unless you're using Oracle Developer Tools for VS to generate the code, this would probably be more appropriate in the ODP forum:

    Thanks,

    That's probably your problem.
    Look at http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28351/T430238T430241.htm
    Search for "One-time Workaround for Concurrent Programs" in that document.

  • Java Applet in a HTML page: failing with PLS-00306: wrong number of args

    We are trying to use a Java Applet in a HTML page. as our system needs to be able to retrieve a predefined set of data from a third party system that uses Dynamic Data Exchange Protocol (DDE) and are encountering errors from APEX and in IE itself.
    We are using JavaDde from www.nevaobject.com that enables our Java applet to interact with Windows applications (Third Party System) using DDE.
    This functionality is currently used in our Web Form 6i application and we are trying to use the same in the new ApEx application.
    We are using ApEx version : 2.1 and actually aer encountering 2 problems:
    Problem 1: ApEx failing with PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'ACCEPT'
    Problem 2: IE crashes if Applet used in a complex page with several regions (1 Context, 4 Report Regions, 2 level Tabs, Links)
    This problem does not occur in the page where there is only applet and one region. In the case of complex page the IE crashes if the page is reloaded
    Test scenario:
    1- Create a simple page with the HTML region.
    2- Define the Source of the above region as follows
    <OBJECT CLASSID="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"
    CODEBASE="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-windows-i586.cab#version=1,4,0,0"
    WIDTH="1"
    HEIGHT="1"
    ID="simpleApplet"
    NAME="simpleApplet">
    <PARAM NAME="code" VALUE="simpleApplet.class" >
    <PARAM NAME="archive" VALUE="simpleApplet.jar" />
    <PARAM NAME="type" VALUE="application/x-java-applet;version=1.4">
    </OBJECT>
    3- Create a simple Java applet "simpleApplet" - for the test its enough if the applet will have just the init method printing out the mesage to the console
    4- Create a Submit Button (not redirect) in Region Header and create unconditional (do not set When Button Pressed property) Page Branch to navigate to another page (the page without the applet)
    6- Run the page and Submit -
    The error below is returned by the engine:
    In our case our applet is called ddeApplet - I do not know why is ApEx passing the Applet's ID down to the wwv_flow.accept method as a parameter

    "theArrow",
    It looks like whatever HTML you're including on your page is creating HTML input form elements inside the HTML form "wwv_flow". This form is posted to wwv_flow.accept, and of course, the PL/SQL procedure wwv_flow.accept doesn't know anything these additional arguments/form elements you're attempting to POST.

    Why can't I tell Siri "No" to stop dialing a wrong number? It's embarrassing to keep telling the same people over and over that I mistakenly dialed their number. Even if I yell "stop" or "no" it keeps dialing. Very frustrating. Even very simple names. And I talk on the phone for a living. Which is why I need to use Siri to save me time. I speak very clearly. Because of this problem, I've had to even add special code letters before people's names to increase the chances of Siri getting it right, which is only about 70% of the time.

    That is not a feature of Siri. Submit your feedback requesting such a feature directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
    Note that yelling at the phone does not improve the chances that Siri will understand you.

  • How to calculate optimized number of members of WLS cluster

    Hi everyone.
    I have a Oracle AS Portal 11g that run on a cluster with 2 managed servers. Each of managed server run with 8Gb heap (it is too much, I think so).
    My system has two node with 32G RAM each one (that run RHEL 4.x). While monitoring, I see that my server use a little amount of CPU. So, I want to increase the number members of cluster. I read the sizing guide for WebLogic Portal but it was not show any guide to determine how to calculate the optimized number of members of cluster.
    I'm stuck in this situation for a week. Because my cluster will became "Warning" state after several days caused by Stuck thread. I want to increase size of cluster to improve HA (I'm trying tuning other factor such as network, DB, I/O, ... )
    Please tell me your idea to calculate and design the size of cluster with desired resource (eg: 32Gb RAM total, and 6G heap size for each of WLS instance).
    Every reply is appreciated
    Regards
    Cuong Pham

    Looking at your struck thread behaviour of application, even increasing the Managed Server will not help.
    Yes of course it may provide few more days of application available than the current condition but on long run definitely you will face the same issue again.
    Better understand the reason for threads getting struck with the help of thread dump, stack and troubleshoot the actual issue.
    Below link will guide you in over coming this issue if there are no leaks in application and if your application actually requires time to process requests
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs92/ConsoleHelp/taskhelp/tuning/TuningExecuteThreads.html
    Other Stuck Thread Handling procedures which weblogic provides are given below
    WebLogic Server checks for stuck threads periodically. If all application threads are stuck, a server instance marks itself failed, if configured to do so, exits. You can configure Node Manager or a third-part high-availability solution to restart the server instance for automatic failure recovery.
    You can configure these actions to occur when not all threads are stuck, but the number of stuck threads have exceeded a configured threshold,
    ■Shut down the Work Manager if it has stuck threads. A Work Manager that is shut down will refuse new work and reject existing work in the queue by sending a rejection message. In a cluster, clustered clients will fail over to another cluster member.
    ■Shut down the application if there are stuck threads in the application. The application is shutdown by bringing it into admin mode. All Work Managers belonging to the application are shut down, and behave as described above.
    ■Mark the server instance as failed and shut it down it down if there are stuck threads in the server. In a cluster, clustered clients that are connected or attempting to connect will fail over to another cluster member.

    Hi John,
    Thanks a ton - a nice Christmas gift. Thank you for being a Santa :-).
    I used the same subscript as the one used for in parameter and the procedure compiled without errors.
    A corollary: If (any of the) Out parameter is null (all columns of the row/array), will the array row element still be stored ? May be I cross the bridge when I come to it.
    Merry Christmas.

    Hi,
    Since it contains an out parameter it has to run this way
    declare
    dummy_out number;
    begin
    prc_wa_default_currt_flag(15445,dummy_out);
    end;Regards

  • TOP n sometimes gives wrong number of lines (SSRS 2008 SP1)

    Hello all,
    a workmate has created a dashboard report which contains (among other items) a top n chart item. The user can select the value of n using a report parameter. We have observered that for some values of n and specific values of the other parameters the chart shows the wrong number of lines (bars), e.g. I choose to select TOP 5, but the chart shows in some cases the TOP 6.
    Is such a behaviour already known?
    I will try to create a minimal sample for reproducing this behaviour during the next few days.
    Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Gerald

    Hi Jerry, I already tried this but for some reosan when i add the second filter data mismatches, I have used sort on $$ which is a requirement in my case.

    Hi,
    Thx for the reply.
    As the store proc is inside the package and its invoked in visual studio.
    I used to compile the pkg in SQL plus and it throws the error as ' wrong number or types of argument in a call to the stored proc 'edr_rpt_gen_error_by_hour'
    As I'm new to pl/sql programming , i really dont know how to pass value to the input parameter.

  • PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call in a for loop

    Dear all
    I recently put up another post about the same error message but as the message now relates to another part of my programme and, in my mind at least, a different conceptual idea, I thought I should start a new top. If that is not right thing to have done then please let me know. I am working in 10.2.
    I am trying to pass through multiple variables. When I run the code at the end of this question I get an error message:
    PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'CUR_MAP_LIST'This relates to the line:
    FOR var_map_list IN cur_map_list (par_map_list (n))I think the reason the error message comes up is because par_map_list is a associate array / PL/SQL table and cur_map_list is based on %rowtype. Although I could be wrong. However I am not sure what I should be doing so that I don't get such an error message.
    I was reading through page 623 on Web Development 9i (by Brown; pub. McGrew-Hill) and pages 357-358 of Oracle Web Application Programming for PL/SQL Developers (by Boardman, Caffrey, Morse, Rosenzweig; pub. Prentice Hall), in order to try and write my code. As well as Oracle's Application Developer’s Guide - Fundamentals (Release 2), page 11-6. In particular the Web Development book uses the following:
    create or replace procedure query_department
    (in_dept_no owa_util.ident_arr)
    is
    cursor dept_cursor (nbt_dept_no emp.deptno%TYPE) is
    select empno, ename, mgr, sal, comm
    from scott.emp
    where deptno = nbt_dept_no;
    begin
      for x in 1 .. in_dept_no.count loop
        for dept_rec in dept_cursor(in_dept_no (x)) loop
        end loop;
      end loop;
    end;In that example the cursor selects empno, ename, mgr, sal and comm from emp. So if it is doing that the cursor must be of a VARCHAR2 and NUMBER data type. What I don't understand is the for dept_rec in part. For a start I am not sure where dept_rec comes from? If it is a NUMBER data type, how can the in_dept_no, which is a owa_util.ident_arr associate array / PL/SQL data type work with it. Unfortunately because the example is incomplete and doesn't include procedures relating to the in variables, I am unable to run it and try and learn from what it is doing, so that I can try and relate the concept to my own work.
    My programme is as follows. There may be other errors in the code not relating to this error. If so I hope to find these and resolve them once I understand what I should be doing here:

    Dear everyone
    I have now resolved the problems I was having with multiple values and checkboxes, thanks to comments in this thread, read large chucks of Oracle PL/SQL Programming by Steve Feuerstein and suddenly realising where I am going wrong in terms of thinking.
    For a start, I when I was dealing with the multiple values, I was trying to get PL/SQL to pass them out. Of course this is done by the action part of the input form. Although I have not done much web coding, I did know about this. However because I was so engrossed in trying to understand how multiple values work, I didn't relate the two ideas. I even mind mapping the problem and still didn't get it.
    I also did not think to change my the action from post command to get, so that I could see what was coming out. However that would not have made too much of a difference because the other problem I had was related to where sub programmes were declared. The function which received the values was privately declared, and not in the package spec. This meant the web browser could not find the function as that can only make use of the programmes declared publicly.
    Once I made these changes, as well as correcting other minor typing mistakes, the values passed through as expected. The only other mistake I made was to include the name option after the submit input type. In my case I did not need to submit the value of that button. The revised code is as follows. In this version I replaced the function with a procedure that simply prints the checkbox values to screen. I have also made the input form action get, instead of post, so that the values can be seen in the web browser address bar:
