Wrong quicktimes load in IE

I have a pretty basic site I did in Dreamweaver. The site has
several links to quicktimes that open in a seperate window. The
site works fine when viewed with Firefox but when viewed with IE,
most of the links open the same exact quicktime instead of the one
I embedded in the page. Any idea what could cause this?

AH!! I think, that might be a problem: If you meet a user like my brother who operates his PC in "super stealth gold plated platinum security mode" with all active x AND other bits disabled out of worry they might contract a virus (even a website quicktime movie will not load on his machine!), then IE will be most rubbish at displaying (even the BBC at www.bbc.co.uk is "hit" by this, as it's got a lovely clock at the top, and it will not show).
I don't know why bother trying to "please" this horrible browser. Mosaic (IE's original predecessor) was great, but IE has so many loopholes as they are trying to copy better browsers.
I take it there are no issues in Windows Firefox (I test mine for it and it's fine).

As per my understanding only a standard Dat file can be compared with one single dat file.Because Eacg dat file will be containing its own values. So multiple files cannot be compared.
Am assuming dat files containing time(s) and acceleration values(g). G value for each file differs.

I'm still not sure I follow you. When you say "Dat" file, do you mean the DIAdem 8.x standard file with the *.dat header and usuall a *.r64 binary file or two that it references, or do you mean some other specific data file with the extension *.dat or do you just mean a generic data file?
DIAdem can certainly load multiple files into the Data Portal at the same time, so you must be referring to either a limitation of the "*.Dat" file you're talking about or correcting yourself that all the data you want to compare turns out to be in one "Dat" file.

I bought the wrong Quicktime Key!!

I have a Mac and I bought Quicktime for it last year so I wanted to buy Quicktime for my PC, but when I logged in to .Mac I guess it automatically thought that since I had a Mac it gave me the wrong key....(Even though I bought it while using my PC)
SO I had to go back in and buy the right one!! I NEED A REFUND FOR THE MAC KEY BECAUSE I ALREADY BOUGHT ONE LAST YEAR!! I'm SO frustrated that there isn't a 24 hour number to call during the week for help with this!!!

Quicktime loaded and not working - Can't uninstall

I have tried for the past few weeks to get my iTunes working.
Everytime I click on iTunes, a message pops up stating that Quicktime Streaming cant run because it is already loaded. I went to Run>MSConfig and turned off the QTTask button, restarted and it still gives me the same message.
I can't open up QT because it shuts down on me when I click any tab in the folder.
I attempted to uninstall and it said the same thing, Quicktime streaming can't run because it is already loaded.
I then went into remove software and tried to uninstall it there and a message came up stating:
Error : 0X80040707
Description : DLL Function call crashed : QTInstall code quicktime.unistallproc.
Setup will now terminate
What does all this mean and how come it's happening? How do I fix it? It was working fine and then just one day, bam, it stopped.

okay, that's a 32-bit version. so here's what we'll try first.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:

Colormodel wrong when loading TIF

I have a TIFF image which I can't correctly convert or display in Java. However, in any other image viewer (default windows, irfanview), it displays without errors.
When I load the TIF file, it gives the folowing color model:

I have a whole bunch of these TIF's, and they're all wrong when displayed in Java. TIF files I create myself though work fine. The original image was create in Adobe Photoshop CS2 on the mac. Is this a bug in Java? Does anyone know a solution.

Wrong language loaded on new Satellite C660-2DL

Hi All,
Brand new C660-2DL, Some how the wrong language (Finnish) got loaded at startup,is there anyway back? it should have been English. I think i shall be dead if i don't find a cure!!!

From my experience some units are preinstalled with an image which contains Windows OS in different languages. While first boot you should be able to choose your favorite language and the other languages would be canceled.
Try this: power up the unit, press F8 and choose Repair.
Then choose HDD recover and check if you could choose other language.
If this would not be possible then create a image using the recover disk creator and start the recovery using this disk. Then check if you can change the language.

Why is QuickTime loading slowly on my 4S

Lately, I've been streaming TV shows to my iPhone 4S. But, a day or two ago QuickTime started loading very slowly. My questions are, why is this happening, and what can be done to resolve this? Ive had my 4S for 5 months.

I would recommend you do steps 1, 3, and 5 of the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/.
If you get to step 3, I suggest closing all the apps. Here is step 1 to get you started:
Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.

Quicktime loads, shows on taskbar, but nothing displays on screen.

To add more detail to this, I am having problems with Quicktime.
I have a single display system. Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit..
I have an 8800GT set to single display mode. I have never run a second monitor on it, and have made 0 recent changes to that configuration.
So when I load Quicktime, I see it showing on the taskbar, Quicktime shows up for a brief moment.. and then completely disappears. I do not have an auto hidden taskbar, it has not been minimized anywhere, it does not minimize to the system tray, etc.
I have also used programs and features to completely remove it, restarted the pc, then reinstalled it only to have the exact same issue. I have also used the quicktime installer to remove it, which also removed the registry entries, and then rebooted and reinstalled, yet I have the same issue!
I have no other issues with my pc at all. I'm a tech, so I know these things, but something is escapting me here..
I have also used the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility as well, but that also did not resolve the issue.
Quicktime was originally running just fine, but some people in a game called Secondlife which has streaming videos in it by going through Quicktime were having issues seeing a certain musician stream a video from his location. So I tried reinstalling to see what would happen, and ever since I have been having this problem.
Any guesses? Anyone have the same issue?

I am having the exact same problem.
Not only does QuickTime show up on the taskbar, I can select it as the current app. I can use keyboard shortcuts when it is selected (i.e. Ctrl+O for open). But the QT app is never visible on my screen (except for a split second during startup). Interestingly, and dialogs bring up by way of keyboard shortcuts are visible, but the actual QT window is not.

QuickTime Loading Error

QuickTime Player has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. That's what I'm getting when I'm using this version of QT, 7.4.1. I'm starting to get really, really, reaaaallly angry. I've been using iTunes for years and now QuickTime and iTunes dont load. I get that message.

Here are the steps to fixing your Quicktime..
1) restart your computer
2) when the computer boots press the f12 key
3) there will be a few options choose "safe mode" and press enter
4) now it'll go on to your desktop SAFE MODE IS VERY RISKY it may look like your cpu's graphics have changed but it's not
5)go to "my computer" and go to "program files"
6)scroll down to the quicktime folder and delete from your computer that way. (dont forget to empty your recycle bin before you restart)
7)restart the computer and reinstall Quicktime
There you have it you fixed quicktime!

L have to have Quicktime loaded to import video to Photoshop CS4 but it doesn't work. Does anyone know why??

Many Thanks for the reply, Maybe l didn't word it correctly as l've been searching for days now for a solution,sorry, but l have just found out while watching tutorials on a education program that you can actual edit each frame in a video in Photoshop by importing the video into it. In these tutorials they said you have to download Quicktime 7.1 or later in order for this to work and then you can go through every frame of your video and change it, draw on it, do mainly anything you what, basically what you can do on a photo you can do with a video. It works with one of my AVI,files but not on any of my others or on any of my MOV. files. l just get a white screen the video is there in the AVI but l can't get MOV. to import. In AVI format it shows no pictures but it is there in the time/animation dilation and l was wondering does anyone know if l need to upload a new codec for it to work or have to switch or activate something for it to work on quicktime......but l have found others with the same problem but there all say upload a new codec but which??
any help would be really appreciated

(If your wondering how too try changing your workspace from ESSENTIALS to VIDEO the icon is in the right hand corner near the close down button in Photoshop and double click on the grey interface (a photo uploads) to get to upload your videos from files then you should be able to upload from there....Import in the file menu doesn't work...hope this helps you. If it works for you then l must be going wrong somewhere....enjoy:)

Wrong kernel loaded?

I am currently in the process of installing arch and i had a networking problem i had no interfaces so i came across some thread which said that if that happens u might be loading the wrong kernel
so i ran
uname -a
: Linux 3.17.3
and also pacman -Qi linux
:linux 3.17.4

in which someone said you might not be mounted to boot so i tried mount /dev/sda2(this is the boot partition) /boot and i got in return error
unknown filesystem type 'vfat'

i just wanna state that during the installation process i dont remember any problems mounting the partition

I am having challenges with computers without quicktime loading my web page

is it a requirement for a user to have quicktime to view an iweb website that has mp3 files loaded? I would have thought that any media player should have worked. My web site is thekarimfamly.com.

I've used other hosting solutions on mine such as YouTube or google video to host media on my sites. I'm fairly certain you can use any application and that you're not restricted to quicktime. I've experienced the same thing with my friends. Host on YouTube and select the media as private. That way, only the people on your site will have access!

Wrong dps loaded - how can I change it?

I used DPS App Builder to build an app but for some reason it uploaded an old file and not the one selected... I need to know how to change it to the right app using the single edition number purchased.

Single edition user don't have the option to delete the app from app builder. If the serial number was activated on the app with the wrong content, DPS Support can help you reset the serial number, delete the wrong app and have your re-build a brand new app and activate using the same serial number.

*Note: This is done in exceptional cases where there are typos, wrong content in the app etc, provided is also within the first year of the Single edition purchase. Altering the content altogther and producing a new app is against the license agreement.

How do I stop Quicktime loading the last 5 videos I have watched?

Ive just updated to Lion and If i watch several files using QT and use "command Q" to quit them , everytime I load another file it reloads all the previous flies I just watched. I know i can use the small red x in the top left hand corner and the wont reopen but thats a pain in the arse. Is there a option to not have the reloading happen?

Wrong metadata loaded by IDOC adapter.

my problem is as follow:
My interface is an IDOC outbound interface from SAP R/3 to XI, I'm sending a MATMAS04 idoc <b>with an extention</b>.
The metadata definition of the one of the segments in the extention (in the XI, transaction IDX5) is wrong : the length of the fields are correct but the offsets are not, resulting in a wrong output XML.
I've checked the definitions of the IDOC in the R/3 system and they are all correct.
I've try deleting the cache and refrashing the definitions but the error remained.
My R/3 system is 4.7x200 and the XI is XI v2.0.
anyone had a similer problem?

have you tried deleting the idoc matadata (TCODE - IDX2)
and importing it again? the import of the metadata can also be done in idx2 - at least in 3.0
