Wrong selection in itunes to update my iphone5 - please help!!!
Can anyone help me - pleeeeease!!
I have had my iphone 5 for approx 2 months. Everything really great and was loving it.
Until last night!
I had my itunes open, as I was updating my library on my nano.
I then swapped over on to my iphone5 to download pictures from my iphone onto my Dell PC.
Because my itunes was still open, it asked me to update my iphone5 - as it obviously recognised that I hadn't synced my new phone on itunes - it was only the info from my previous iphone4 from a few months ago.
It asked me if it was a new iphone or existing iphone - stupidly, I chose existing iphone.
Itunes then proceeded to restore my iphone - which wiped all my new contacts, songs, ringtones, alert tones folders, text messages and more importantly, lots of wedding photos, from a wedding me and partner had been to on saturday, including a video of my partner's best man speech
I've managed to get most of all the wedding photos back on to my ipod (not quite sure how I managed that) but there is no sign of the video on my iphone or ipod.
I'm more gutted about the video for the best man speech - as it was the only thing i hadn't downloaded onto Facebook!
Last time i backed up my iphone was on saturday - 03/08/2013 and this is the info I want back on my iphone.
Does anyone have any idea how this can be sorted? I need my iphone to be as it was for this back uo on saturday night.
Any help or information anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

hmm, I'm a bit of a technophobe, so not quite sure how to do that - sorry.
I normally just back up to icloud every other day.
Would this be through itunes?

Itunes wont update ipod! please help!
For some reason when i plug my ipod into my computer it won't update my ipod! It recognises the ipod and says "do not disconnect" but it wont add any new songs at all. Maybe you have the iPod set to manual transfer, in which case you need to drag and drop music from iTunes into the iPod.
Check in iPod preferences. -
ITunes not updating... please help.
I plugged in my iPod to update and charge today... iTunes said it wanted to update to version 7.02 so I let it... then my iPod said it couldn't update and to restore to factory settings, so I did. Now the message I receive is "Songs on the iPod cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist." What does this mean? How did it happen? Why is this happening? And why can't I get my music back onto my iPod? It now doens't have anything on it and I don't understand.
Any help is appreciated.Nevermind. I figured it out. I had to reset settings on the MUSIC page in iTunes and tell it to upload all music and playlists.

Try unsyncing the sone and then resyncing. That works sometimes. Sometimes restoring from backup works. Other times nothing seems to work.. Yuo are not alone since iOS5 and iTunes 10.5/6.

What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes? -
I am still trying to update my Ipod touch 4 to the iOS 6 version. It is on the 4.3.5 (8L1) version. When I go to settings-General-it just says About and nothing about an update. I have no idea how to update it! Please help!
You can only update via the ipod with ios 5 or later.
You need to update via itunes on your computer as always. -

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

i have been having an issue with updating my ipod touch for some time now and i can not seem to get it to update to the lastest update. it is stuck on 4.2.1 software and i can not update it to 4.3 or any other ios software update. can you please help me to solve this issue.
It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod Touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. If it's an 8 GB iPod Touch it's definitely a 2G iPod Touch as there was never such a thing as a 3G 8 GB iPod Touch. See this article to help verify what generation iPod Touch you have.

until I updated him from SnowLeopard 10.6.8 to Mavericks 10.9.2.
2 Days all was OK. Next Morning-Start he needs (until now) 3 minutes to show me a SCREEN only milky white. After that he starts like ever with all ICONS in about 1 minute. (together 4 min.)
..But I must notice, that I cannot make anything, because the „BLUETOOTH APPLE WIRELESS KEYBOARD and the APPLE MAGIC MOUSE“ doesn't work anything like before.
I could nothing do, I must drop my APPLE only out.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card.
