Wrong serial and purchase date for applecare, what should I do

I purchased my iMac on 31st OCT 2010, when it's reaching the end of its first year I wanted to buy an applecare, but unfortunately non of the apple dealers didn't had the apple care plans and they asked me to wait few weeks, on around Nov 11 apple care came to the stores and for the first time I checked my warranty period online, it stated Nov 21st as my warranty expiring period, so on 18th of Nov I bought the apple care and registered under the same serial which I checked online, today my iMAC's HDD died and I went to a apple authorized service center to repair it. Guys at the service center said that my iMac is not covered by apple care and after few arguments I realized that I've mistyped the serial (I've typed S instead of 5 duh.) However some other iMac is registerd using my apple care and when I check the dates it says his/her imac's warranty will be expiring on 21st Nov 2013. I checked the apple support site and saw that I can get a refund for my apple care purchase, is that the best option?, is there a way to buy the apple care plan for my mac? clearly there has been a mistake from my end, but there was no apple care plans available when I needed a one. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Call Apple and ask to speak to Agreements Administration, who may be able to help you with this.

I'm sorry, but your sister, unless she had already turned on the "Find my iPhone" feature and the person who took the phone has not disabled it, is out of luck. She should report the theft to local police authorities, including the serial number of her iPhone. While her experience is unfortunate, there are good reasons why Apple cannot do anything else about it.

I am having exactly the same problem right now. After some research, it looked like my HD was toast. I replaced it today, that part was easy, but now I cannot seem to use my original Install Disk to format the new HD. I get a grey restart screen, or if I get to the Language Selection screen, my cursor is frozen in left corner and I can't use it.
Very frustrating, hope someone else has some ideas!

You can't do anything. You have encountered the activation lock. Unless you have some sort of contact with the previous owner you have bought a very expensive paper weight.

I think this can be managed only by Toshiba service partner.
If the user has registered the unit so usually the service partner should be able to check the purchase date.

now this plants may be assigned to different P Org ,so u have to find that PO to plant linkage

Call the apple store you got it from and ask them. Sometimes in the past they've extended the 'no questions asked return' but only Apple can tell you for sure.

This is a totally absurd suggestion, except that it worked for me with my iPad. Forget the network, then when asked for the password, enter a wrong one. Try again and enter the correct password. Good luck.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Creation and Modification dates for android file system

Hello all, I am working on a project and i noticed a particular scenario where i'm getting an error everytime i try to run the code below on my android device;

Every time i run this on Adobe AIR's Mobile emulator, the correct dates are show up properly(Possibly because the emulator is running on Windows) but when i switch the debug to the device, the statement in the catch block executes. The real error says "Error #3003: File or directory does not exist."
Am i missing something or is this a normal behaviour which i have to find a work around for? The modificationDate and the creationDate are all properties of the FileReference class which i didnt use to instanciate the file object because i wasnt uploading or downloading anything.
Any form of tip will be much appreciated.

I run into the same problem while working on some sort of file synching task.
Trying to read the file.modificationDate or creationDate results in an error: "Error #3003: File or directory does not exist."
I have obeserved that this only happens for files that were packaged with the app (and placed in the File.applicationDirectory).
Files that my app has downloaded and saved to the device (File.applicationStorageDirectory) do have a valid creation date and modification date.
Maybe the File.applicationDirectory has different rights?
Does anybody have a solution or workaround for this?
