Wrong sorts after synchronisation of intelligent playlists

i have an intelligent playlist for my 5 Star rated songs. I sorted it in itunes 9 alphabetically but on the iphone (3.1) it is not in the correct order.
I havent had this trouble before i updated!!
Any ideas

ITunes 7.6 Bug: Does not play music from Intelligent Playlists

Since I upgraded to iTunes 7.6 I can no longer play music from my intelligent playlists. Whenever I try it will remove the song from the playlist instead of playing it.
Has anybody else experienced this and maybe found a solution?
And if not, how can I downgrade to iTunes 7.5?

... and one other thing: I had to re-activate my computer repeatedly to be able to listen to the music bought in the iTunes store. After several vain attempts it finally worked when I accessed the piece directly in my music library instead of from a playlist. However, my computer was re-activated as a new pc although it had been activiated already before the upgrade.
And as to changing the infos - in my case to Soundtrack - this works only as long as the intelligent playlist tries to actually play he song. Then the info changes back automatically to the former status - in my case the German "Filmmusik" (meaning soundtrack in German).
So it seems that this is simply a localisation (or purely German?) problem with iTunes getting mixed-up with the non-English and English definitions. I now have changed all genre infos to "Filmmusik" instead of Soundtrack, and voila, it is working. - Very strange, indeed.
Anyway, for the time being I will not mark this thread as solved as I am not sure that this is the permanent solution.

Bugreport: intelligent playlists don't work, if mediatype is used

I found the following bug with intelligent playlists and ipod classic:
If I use "Medienart" (i guess media type in English) as a criteria for an intelligent playlist, it is no longer intelligent on my ipod classics (80GB and 160GB).

If you have a playlist with Wiedergaben(=play count ?)=3 and you play one song from that playlist, this song will disapear from that playlist after you play it. (This also works with pretty complex criteria.)
But once you add media type<>audiobook to that playlist, the list becomes static. (i.e. the song will not disapear from the playlist after you played that song.)

Intelligent playlist from rating bug?

Just tried to create an intelligent playlist from all my 4 star ratings. Looks like there is a bug in iTunes 6.0.2 (23). If you hit 4th star, it goes straight to 5. To select 4 stars, you've got to point somewhere in the region of the second star. To me it looks like the pixel math is broken there as 5 stars get selected in the region of the first 2-3 (prob. a 2x factor missing, somehow)? Can someone confirm this, please?

Sort after Album Arist, then track #

Hello there Itunes lovers,
does anyone know how to sort after "album artist", without any influences from "artist"?
I've, for instance, an album with various artist, hence the "album artist" is labeled VA, and I still want it to sort after the cd's track number, instead of a secondary sort by "artist". This leads to great mess in the library, with track # in the wrong order.

I'm a little confused by what you're asking. You said, "It would be great if the Album Artist represented the artist of the album, while Artist specified the artists in that specific song." That's exactly how it should work — if you have a Johnny Cash album with different artists on the individual tracks (like "Johnny Cash with Tom Petty"), then entering "Johnny Cash" in the Album Artist slot for the entire album will tag the album as a Johnny Cash album, and alphabetize the album accordingly when you sort by "Album by Year" or "Album by Artist". If you sort on the Artist column, the individual track artists will be broken out into their individual Artist locations.
Text entered in the search box will match both Artist and Album Artist — in the example I gave, searching for "Johnny Cash" will return the entire album, while searching for "Tom Petty" will return only the one track.
In your example, what are the different fields? The Artist is "US3", the track Name is "Cantaloop", the Album is "Flip Fantasia", and the Album Artist is "Jazz Funk Jazz Funk Jazz Funk"? If so, sorting on the Artist column will sort the track with the U's, sorting Album by Artist will sort the album with the J's, and entering either "US3" or "Jazz Funk" into the search box will return the track in the list of results.

You have two separate questions here...
To get all your music into one playlist, select Music in the sidebar and click the Songs view at the top. Then, highlight all the songs and drag them into your playlist.
I don't know if it's possible to download all Purchased content (or do you mean iTunes Match content?) at once; try a few Google searches.

Webpart Connection Doesn't Sort After Edit

I have two SP task lists, 1st list for project details and 2nd list for project costs (1:Many). When viewing a single item from the project details task list in the Default Display Form, the project costs task list is
also displayed as a webpart. The project costs webpart is connected to the project details item, and filters only project costs that have the same "Project Name". This works great, but my problem is the project costs list I've turned on inline editing.
In the same Default Display From, when the user clicks to edit a line item in the project costs list, edits the item, and then clicks save, the page reloads, and all project costs are displayed instead of the filtered project costs list. The changes do not
save, and the user has to scroll down the list to find the project cost line item still in edit mode. If the edits are repeated and save is once again clicked on the project costs list, the project cost line item is updated, and the project costs list is filtered
correctly as intended.
Can anyone help me correct or understand the issue: When making edits to a task list item using inline editing on a connected and filtered webpart, the list doesn't save edits to the webpart list and maintain its connected filter? Thank you for any guidance

According to your post, my understanding is that webpart connection doesn't sort after you edit the related list.
Per my knowledge, it will send the value to connected web part when page loads in the display form.
If you edit the item inlien, it will not refresh the page, so it cannot send the value again.
I recommend that you can use the “Insert Related List” option in the display form.

Wrong sorting of events

I have several Events called ! Event 1 and ! Event 2 and so on...
(That these are on top when sorting via names).
No problem with iPhoto 09, but iPhoto 11 has wrong sorting, even when i sort it via names.
Some ! Event x are in the beginning, then some "normal" names without ! are in and then again some with ! ....

Hi, can anyone help me out?
I've lost ALL purchased songs and apps on my iPhone after synchronising with iTunes.
Background:
- Windows got stuck and was unrecoverable
- Reinstalled Windows
- Reintstalled iTunes
- Synchronised iPhone with iTunes
- Lost ALL purchased songs and apps that were on the iPhone
How can I recover this? PLEASE HELP!!

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchased songs to restore from (as you are advised to do) then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once

You could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. Sub-categories in intelligent playlists

Hi everyone!
I just noticed something in iTunes' latest version which annoys me a lot : when creating a new intelligent playlist, it's not possible anymore to specify different subcategories. Let me be a little more specific.
In old versions of iTunes, there used to be line that allowed to specify "All the following rules are true" or "Some of the following rules are true", and this line could be duplicated to create different subcategories of condition.
For example, I am using this in one of my playlist which I called "Actual favorites". My point with this one was to have a playlist of tracks I'm listening the most, but only up to a certain amount of time. Its exact configuration is the following :

-Satisfy any of the following rules
     -All the following rules are true
          Number of plays is above 4
          Add date is in the last 7 days
     -All the following rules are true
          Number of plays is above 9
          Add date is in the last 1 month
     -All the following rules are true
          Number of plays is above 25
          Add date is in the last 6 months
==============================
I created this playlist before version 10 and am using it a lot! Now I can't modify it or create a new one because in iTunes current version, it is not possible to have those lines "All the following rules are true".
Does someone know if this is a bug? Is this just an option the developpers decided to remove? Do you have any idea of how I could avoid this problem?

Oh and what I forgot to mention is that, this playlist is still working, and the "All the following rules" lines are here! It is just not possible to add new ones to this playlist, or to add some at all in a new playlist.

Lion Mail selects the wrong entry after delete?

Does anyone else thing Mail selects the wrong entry after delete? Say your scanning through your mail from latest to oldest, something most people seem to do. You click on an entry, read the mail and then press delete to move it to trash. Mail picks the next newest entry instead of the one right after the one you deleted. But you've probably already looked at that one and want to look at the next older item. So I have to select, delete, click the down arrow, delete, etc. in order to quickly go through mail, deleting the ones I don't need, and leaving others I want to go back too.
Seems like there should be an option to set what the next entry is after delete.

What to do?

If they are showing as installed but you can't find them, then depending on what the missing apps are, are they hidden by an age rating or Installing Apps in Settings > General > Restrictions ?
