Wrong terminal type with SSH

Hello,
Im configuring SGD 4.2 on RHEL v3. I need to create a character
application that will establish an ssh session to another linux box.
In properties for my application I use sco console for emulation type
and ansi for terminal type.
When I log in to the remote box my terminal type for some reason is set to
xterm.
If I change the connection method in my character application properties
from ssh to telnet the terminal type is set to ansi on the remote box.
Any ideas?

Trying to solve this problem I uncommented "startdebug" in
/opt/tarantella/var/serverresources/expect/unix.exp but where is the log
file? you need to also enable execpe logging via
$ tarantella config edit --tarantella-config-execpeconfig-logfilter
"execpe/*/*"
NOTE: command should be on one line.
Then the logs will be in /opt/tarantella/var/log/exec*

    I shoot with a Canon 7D, have Windows 7 installed on my computer, Adobe CS4 (Bridge & Photoshop). I'm trying to open the CR2 files in Bridge to adjust them before I open them up in Photoshop, but it's giving me an error code saying it's the wrong file type. I downloaded the latest updates for Adobe Raw as well as the DNG converter, however I don't want to have to convert to DNG before opening in Bridge. Please let me know what I can do to open the CR2 files directly in Bridge CS4, thank you!

  • Wrong Partner Type in IDoc with message type REMADV

    Dear all,
       We have created 2 IDocs, one for outbound (first in one company code) and one for inbound (receiving company code) with transaction F110 (message type REMADV, Idoc basic type PEXR2001). However, for the first outbound IDoc we have created, we have the wrong Partner type (we would like it to get type KU (customer)) LS (Logic system).
    Does anyone know how to change the partner type from the Idoc generationg?
    Many thanks,
    Ronny

    Hi,
    Welcome to SDN.
    Please delete the exisiting outbound partner profile (WE20) for message type REMADV which under partner type LS (Logical System) and setup new outbound partner profile for partner type KU (Customer).

  • Terminal Tab Names (SSH host)

    I am trying to change the termnal tabs to show the remote hostame that I am connecting to with SSH. I have tried a few exports, and have not found the one that will provide the remote hostname in the tab.

    Here's a solution that might work.
    Open a terminal window and edit your bash profile:
         pico ~/.bash_profile
    In the profile, add the following function:
         function tabname {
              printf "\e]1;$1\a"
    Save and quit the editor (control-o, control-x), and then create a new bash session. Now when you type the following command you can change the name of the tab:
         tabname NAME
    (credit to The Lucid for this: http://thelucid.com/2012/01/04/naming-your-terminal-tabs-in-osx-lion/)
    With this setup, you can add this command before your ssh command in the following manner:
         tabname NAME; ssh username@host
    You can also script this behavior in the following manner. First create a script called "myssh.sh" or something similar, and then add the following to it:
         !#/bin/bash
         printf "\e]1;`echo $1 | sed -Ee 's/^.+\@//'`\a"
         ssh $1
         printf "\e]1;bash\a"
    When you run the script, use it as a replacement for the ssh command (if you need to add arguments, then encase them in quotes or escape the spaces between them). For example, see below:
         ./myssh.sh "-p 22 [email protected]"
         or...
         ./myssh.sh -p\ 22\ [email protected]
    If there are no arguments then you can simply use the following:
         ./myssh.sh [email protected]
    One issue with this script is that if you cancel the connection or otherwise kill the command without doing so cleanly, then the script will halt and leave the name of the tab as the hostname. The last line of the script should rename the tab back to "bash" when done if the ssh session exits cleanly and allows the script to continue.

    Frage 1) Hat jemand ein ähnliches Problem und dazu eine Lösung?
    Frage 2) Wo ist hinterlegt, welchen Medium-Name der Data Protector beim command "medium_put" verwenden soll?
    Danke für Eure Hilfe!

    Hi Marcus,
    we use the version 5.5.
    The pipe name is generated by the Data Protector. When I want to create manually a pipe with this name I got the message "No hit found".
    Do you know a  possibilty where we can configure (at Data Protector or MaxDB) which medium name should be used for creating the pipe?
    Thanks a lot!

  • Problem with ssh and bash-completion

    I and a co-worker are having a weird problem with ssh and bash-completion. We have a local config in .ssh/config with hosts we connect everyday. An example:
    host foo
    hostname foo.org
    user foobar
    host foobar
    hostname foobar.org
    user foobar
    When we try to type
    ssh foo<tab><tab>b<tab>
    the console just freeze and we can't type anything, everything we type is ignored, but after about 30 seconds the host is completed.
    This works a some time ago, so some upgrade make this happen. Anyone can reproduce this?

    Actually thinking about it, rather than using the semi-dodgy fix posted on the bug tracker, we can just test if the daemon is running since we are not on MacOS X. It is cleaner and 250 ms quicker.

    What about the ext3 floppies? I have no problem with vfat ones, I can mount them as you mention but when I try to mount ext3 floppies as a regular user I get:
    [florin@guns /mnt]$ mount /mnt/floppy
    mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
           or too many mounted file systems
    [florin@guns ~]$ mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
    mount: only root can do that
    [florin@guns ~]$ mount -t ext3 /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
    mount: only root can do that
    I can mount an ext3 floppy as root:
    [root@guns /mnt]# mount /mnt/floppy
    mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
           or too many mounted file systems
    [root@guns /mnt]# mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
    [root@guns /mnt]# cd floppy/
    [root@guns /mnt/floppy]# ls
    lost+found  test
    What am I missing here? What should I do to be able to mount ext3 floppies as a regular user too?

  • Wrong message type while sending response from TP

    Hi,
    We are simulating a scenario in which the host is sending a Rosetta over RNIF request to TP. The request is getting completed and acknowledgement is reaching the host properly.
    Now we are trying to send back a response from TP for the above request. But the following error is being observed:-

    As it can be seen from the logs, the message type is being set to 1. However it should be 2 in case of response.
    The following header properties are being used in the AQ stub:-
    msgID = G20090303035936810.34565d:11fc706dc89:-7fbc@706519011
    from = COMSTOR

    Can you please let us know the reason for the wrong message type being set?
    Regards,
    Ravi Shah

    Dheeraj,
    We have included msgType=2 as a part of the AQ header.
    The logs show that message type is getting set to 2 but still COMSTOR is Buyer and BTGS is Seller.
    Because of this, agreement look-up is getting failed.

  • Wrong Operand Type Error Message - please help

    I have built a form and I keep getting the message - Wrong Operand Type every time I either try to preview or save to PDF as the file suddenly becomes 90% blank (I can see the content boxes for any date fields in the form and if I click the highlight fields option I can see place holders for all of the content) but other than that it wont process properly. I have tried going through the document and made sure that item by item the fields are all inline with each other, have the same fonts, etc. I even tried deleting out every single item in the form, previewing it, then placing that item back in and moving on to the next to try a process of elimination to see if I could figure out what item(s) were causing the problem, but still no luck.
    Please help.
    CG

    I, too, am having this error message. I read somewhere that it is either because of the font Helvetica Nueue, or because the files is being shared between a PC and a Mac. The quickest fix I have found, is to take the pdf and open it in Illustrator and convert all the text to curves. Then it should work correctly.
    I don't think anyone has found a definitive answer.
    thanks

  • How To Set Terminal Type in Solaris 10 Jumpstart?

    Hi all,
    I'm installing Solaris 10 via jumpstart, and I'd like to set the terminal type for the console to be vt100 by default.
    I've tried setting the terminal type to vt100 in sysidcfg, with a line:
    terminal=vt100
    but this has no effect (and never has done).
    In previous versions I just modified /etc/inittab from the finish script, but that's not relevant any more.
    I know that I can set the terminal type after login with:
    /usr/sbin/svccfg -s system/console-login 'setprop ttymon/terminal_type = vt100'
    but I can't do this until the system has booted for the first time.
    I've tried putting various bits of XML into /var/svc, but I'm now at the point where I'm just guessing - does anyone know the right way to do this, or can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve.

    As far as I know, your approach is correct. If you don't want
    > to modify the xml file manually, you can use chroot in the finish script.
    Using chroot in the finish script does not work, and gives an error:
    svccfg: Could not connect to repository server: repository server unavailable.
    Modifying xml is fine, but it would be nice to do it in a way that will not get reverted next time I apply a patch cluster, so simply editing /var/svc/manifest/system/console-login.xml would (I think) be out.
    Is there a more correct way of overriding the contents of a manifest?
    Cheers,
    Steve.

  • All pdf say they are the wrong file type or are damaged.  will not allow to open in preview and no pdf's can be printed as they are "empty"

    All PDF's I try to save will save but nobody can open them.  Message is it cannot be opened by reader it is the wrong file type or has been damaged.
    Tried to open with Preview and the message says it is empty, also empty if you try to sea as a PDF in the print option!

    Hi Michelle in MD,
    Thank you for posting on the Adobe Forums, as botht applications cannot open the PDF file, i would suggest you to download it again and try.
    Thanks,

  • Deployed lists in a SharePoint hosted app use the wrong content type.

    I am using Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 to deploy a SharePoint hosted app to my SharePoint 2013 development environment.
    I have created 2 lists, one of which is using a custom content type with custom columns and the other is just a simple custom list definition and instance, all of which are deployed inside the same feature.
    However when I go to the simple list, it is using the content type from the other list, even though in the schema.xml shows that it is not supposed to use this content type. I have checked the content type ID and it is not referencing my custom content type,
    but for some reason the list is using that content type.
    I remember seeing this same issue a few months ago while creating a SP2010 sandbox solution. It could well be something I'm doing wrong when creating the lists/content type.
    Steps to recreate this issue:
    Create a SharePoint hosted app in VS
    Create some custom fields
    Create a custom content type
    Create a list based on that content type
    Create another list not based on the content type
    Delete feature that VS creates for the second list and add the list def and instance to the main feature (containing the other list and content type)
    Deploy and go to second list, note that it has the custom fields from the first list.
    Any advice on what to do about this would be great. I have tried deleting the list and recreating it in VS several times but that didn't work.
    Thanks
    David

    Hi
    I have now tested against a trail Office  365 Developer site and I had to make a few adjustments
    - change the url
    - change the target to SharePoint Onlne
    - change the url
    I still wasn't happy so I created a new SharePoint Hosted app and pointed at the above developer site.  I copied my CrossDomainExec.js and stripped all my code except my CopyItemInSameLIbrary method which hasn't changed since I created this post.
    - changed the App Manifest permissions to Web -full Control ( was previously tenant)
    I still got errors which is really painful as you don't even see the POST request in Fiddler
    The URL used for my POST is as follows ( note host URL is fictitious)
    "https://myapphell-547d8061d39e38.sharepoint.com/sites/appsdev/RESTTestSHA/_api/SP.AppContextSite(@target)/web/Getfilebyserverrelativeurl('/sites/appsdev/Shared Documents/SrcDoc.docx')/copyTo(strNewUrl='/sites/appsdev/Shared Documents/DestDoc.docx', bOverWrite=true)?@target='https://myapphell.sharepoint.com/sites/appsdev'" String
    Ran the app a second time and now I see......Wow it WORKS!!!!!! ..Can't be true can it?
    .... next I will switch the target url to my on prem farm to see if this still works so watch this space!

  • The system process 'C:\Windows\system32\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code 255

    Hello All
    We have a server 2008 R2 HyperV server and during the last few months it started to reboot randomly.
    Initially we thought its related to the issue fixed by the following hotfix so we applied it but even with the hotfix it still keeps rebooting.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2732595
    Unlike what's mentioned in the hotfix , the faulting module is not "ntdll.dll" but "msvcrt.dll".Also came up with the following indication the reboots could be related to KB2871997 but that update is not installed
    on this system.

    Hi Sir,
    Please try the following items:
    1. if ther is anti-virus installed , please uninstall it temporarily
    2. run  " sfc /scannow "
    3. keep windows up-to-date
    4. if you updated some hardware driver please roll it back
    5. if the issue persists , please use windows installation media to perform inplace-upgrade for the system
    Also please refer to reinstall C++ runtime within the similar thread:

  • Oracle 11g AQ : problem enqueue user-defined type with varchar2 attribute

    Hello.
    I have a problem enqueuing a user-defined type to the queue on Oracle 10g.
    I'm using jdbc driver (ojdbc5.jar, version 11.1.0.6.0) as they provide oracle.jdbc.aq package.
    The type is following:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE FIXED_T5 AS OBJECT
    (id integer,
    label varchar2(100),
    code integer,
    today date
    )I have created a java class for this type with jpub utility supplied with oracle 11g client package:
    jpub -user=scott/tger -url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:sid-sql=FIXED_T5:ru.invito.FixedType -compile=falseIt generated FixedType.java and FixedTypeRef.java files. Don't understand why i need the latter (FixedTypeRef).
    Then in test app:
    package ru.invito;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.net.InetAddress;
    import java.net.UnknownHostException;
    import java.sql.SQLException;

    Today: 03.07.08
    Could anyone tell me what is wrong with the setup/code?
    Why 'label' not saved in queue, though i saw it is not empty in STRUCT?

    Thank you for the reply!
    I have enqueued:

    USER_DATA.TODAY     04.07.2008 15:30:30I must point to a strange thing: when the FixedType instance is created (via new operator) and then the setLabel("....") called as:
    FixedType data = new FixedType();
    // hack: proper initialization for 'label' field
    data._struct.setNChar(1);
    data.setId(ID);
    data.setLabel(label);
    data.setCode(1);
    Date today = new Date();
    data.setToday(new Timestamp(today.getTime()));
    Datum d = data.toDatum(connection);
    STRUCT s = (STRUCT) d;
    logger.debug(s + ".debugString(): " + s.debugString());
    logger.debug(s + ".dump(): " + s.dump());and if i comment line (data._struct.setNChar(1);) the debug messages for created STRUCT also shows empty value for label.
    But if i explicitly call data._struct.setNChar(1) then debug contains the label i defined in call to the setLabel method.

  • "no type with this name could be found at this location" error..

    Though my project has been successfully compiled.
    But when I open some specific class, it always comes out some error, says "ERROR: no type with this name could be found at this location". I am not quite clear, because the class underlined is absolutely in the project source folder. :(
    Can anybody tell me what wrong with it?:(

    Hi Tom
    There is a known limitation with Workshop where you would see those errors when the java classes (the types that error out) are part of you webproject itself.
    The classes get compiled and get moved into web-inf\classes folder and somehow IDE does not get to see this in its classpath.
    The workaround is to move those classes into a java project which will get compiled into a jar file that will be part of libraries (goes into APP-INF\lib).
    You should not see those errors after the workaround.
    This is a known limitation addressed via CR277571
    Thanks
    Vimala
