Wrong title in Metadata

When I initially began writing my book, the working title was the same as my print version.  Later, I changed the title slightly because the iBooks version is distinctly different.  I changed the Title in the Document section and in the book menu.  All seemed well, the old title was vanquished.  When I package it, however, the old title shows up in the xml file of the package.  I can't figure out where it is getting this.
Also (this is how I first noticed the issue), if I export to iBooks format, then drag it into my iTunes to put it on my iPad using a traditional sync (and not get the "proof" banner on the conver), it comes into iTunes with the old title!
Anybody have any idea where this old title could still be lurking in iBooks Author?

OK, here is the document inspector, the book menu and the errant xml I'm getting when I publish:
In both the document inspector and Book menu, the title is "Using Your DSLR UNderwater".  In the xml generated in  the publish package it is "Underwater Photography for DSLRs" (original title)

  • Namespace-URI is wrong in the metadata.xml??

    Dear Captivate-Community,
I am running into troubles importing SCORM packages from Captivate 6 into our LMS.
Our LMS  (Viversa 7.1 from VIWIS) interprets SCORM 1.2 very strict.
It seems that the namespace-URI is wrong in the metadata.xml!
    wrong is...
    Line 4:   xmlns:pkgprop="http://www.scorm.com/ScormEnginePackageProperties"
    correct is:
    Line 4:   xmlns:pkgprop="http://www.scorm.com/xsd/ScormEnginePackageProperties"
Has anyone else the same experience? I don´t want to change each exported file by hand...
    Thx
    :-) michael

    Hi Michael,
yes, currently I actually have the same problem, also using the LMS Viversa. The solution from RodWard was very helpful. I change the template in Line 67 and add the "xsd/". Now it works!

  • Wrong titles after 7.1 install

Since I installed 7.1, playing an audiobook on my Nano starts another book altogether. For example, I play book A, but up comes book B, with the wrong title/art/audio. These are all Audible downloads. Anyone else having this problem?
1st gen Nano   Windows XP Pro

I am also having the problem of wrong titles playing.
It happens when I add audiobooks to my ipod. The
ones above the addition are fine, the ones below are
off by the number of additions, up to point where
the adds show, then they go back to being correct.
    So, if I have A, B, C, D, and add 1 and 2 so it
    should be AB12CD
    plays A
    B
    C
    1
    2
    D
thing close. Stopped in the Mac store today. Was
told it was something they had never heard of.
Restore. Did that. The only other option given was
to pay 40 bucks for the Apple Care. Just doesn't
seem like a good idea to me!
    Thanks for any help!
What happens when you do the following: click on "audiobooks" under your iPod in Source list, click on the LEFT unmarked column (left of Name), arrange 'books in your desired order by dragging and dropping?

  • RSS titles repeating with wrong titles

I haven't seen this one before. On a PBG4, 10.4.4, Safari is showing very wrong titles for RSS articles. By very wrong, it's repeating titles from a completely different site. The title that's repeating is "Adobe announced today the release of a major new image processing and management software program". The source of this was an RSS feed from the Luminous Landscape site, which isn't the problem.
The problem is this title is showing up in my RSS feeds from all over. For example, my feed listing from <feed://www.mediabistro.com/fishbowldc/rss/> is showing this title for half the items. Same with many other sites. If a do a View Source this is showing in the source code for these sites. Really.
Somewhere there's obviously an RSS cache that's screwed up.
I've used YASU to clear the browser history and all sorts of other items.
Any idea where this could all be located?

yup, I've seen this and the fix I use is to render. AND, sometimes if I export a selfcontained qt and the title is not rendered prior to export, it jumps in the exported qt. And this happens in other formats besides ProRes. Don't know what causes it, and rather than spending alot of time on the issue, I have just dealt with it by rendering. Please post if you find the cause.

  • Title / Description Metadata

In Flash CS3 when you did Modify/Document it allowed you to type in a document Title and Description which were metadata searchable by internet search engines. According to the book "Brilliant Flash CS4" this is still possible in CS4, but I think they have removed the option, and the book is wrong.
Is it still possible to add metadata for searching to FLA documents or is this now gone?

you can use metadata with cs4 but not the metadata tags that were added to html to aid search engines.  the cs4 metadata tags are designed to smooth flex/flash work-flow.
i believe, html metadata tags are now of minor importance to search engines.  but if you want to add them using cs4, i believe you'll need to add them by hand.

  • Wow! Mail dissapears, stores in wrong folder, wrong titles, ...

I am getting a very strange behaviour in mail.app since my update to 10.5.4. Parts of emails are stored in the drafts folder without me asking. Some mails will open with a different text from the title or header. Some mail will seemingly be sent but does not appear in the Sent folder...
I've reintiated the prefs file, rebuilt all the mailboxes. To no effect, I'm still getting the same behaviour erratically, it is not permanent, it appears very suddenly, then for no reason dissapears again. Could it be a ... (wolves crying) ...virus!?!?
    Please help.
    Mark

    Hello mark:
You can set aside a concern about a virus. There are NO documented viruses that affect a Mac running OS X - none.
If I were you, I would download the combo updater, install it, and see if that fixes the problem. Sometimes things go wrong with either the download or the update itself.
I do see that you trashed the preference file and rebuilt the mailboxes - two things that I would have suggested.
If the above does not help, I would opt for an archive and install.

  • Podcasts downloaded with iOS sync back to Mac iTunes with wrong title

When I acquire podcast episodes on an iOS device, either my iPod Touch or iPad, via the iTunes store program, these podcasts have the correct title.
But once I sync this device back to iTunes on my laptop, these podcast episodes no longer have the correct title, but usually are re-titled "rss", and read as such on both the iOS device and iTunes.
Is there something that's wrong with either my iOS devices or iTunes? Or is this a bug that needs addressing?

  • First podcast uploaded with the wrong title? It is using the title of one of the podcasts and not showing the name only of the speaker?

I uploaded 7 podcasts using Podomatic. iTunes is using the titles of one of the podcasts as the title for the page. I need to change the page title and also remove my name (not sure why my name was posted instead of the name of the podcast speaker). Do I need to delete the whole Album and start over, or can I edit the title? https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/accelerating-your-due-season/id659519611. Thanks for help. This is my first time doing this.

iTunes is simply reproducing what is in the relevant tags in the feed:
    <title>Attracting the Glory - Dr. Russell Plilar</title>
    <itunes:author>Maureen Brichetto</itunes:author>
You need to change them in Podomatic wherever you originally entered the data and republish the feed. The Store should pick up the changes after a couple of days or so, though it's possible it might not do so until you post a new episode.

  • Wrong Title Appearing in Vendor Master Record

We have a situation where when a user goes in to change the vendor master, it appears to have a title selected in the "title" field, yet one is not maintained.  They are using MK02, but the same issue appears with transaction MK03.  The vendor is maintained in language DE (Deutsche) and the user is in German (note that I get same results using English).  This 'title' is not appearing in the output, only on what is seen by the user(s), so it is a low priority issue, but one that still needs resolution.
We are on a 4.6C system, and are on Support Pack SAPHK46C48.  I found an OSS Note that covers this problem, OSS 402538, but it is included in Support Pack SAPHK46C21, which is already applied to our system.  That was the only note that I could find that seemed relevant, so need some expert guidance.  Thanks!

Found solution is to maintain different translations for the titles, including a "blank"

  • IBooks shows wrong titles in thumbnail view

Using iBooks' store, I've purchased a number of free ebooks.  The texts are from Project Gutenberg, but they are being supplied by Apple.  When I look at the titles in list veiw, all the titles are correct.
The problem I'm having is when I view them as thumbnails (with the bookshelf in the background).  Some of the titles are duplicated even though they are different books.  On others, when I open them and then close them the book with title icon dissapears and is replaced with a generic blue icon (square screen with three buttons under it) and no title.
Any ideas as to what's going on and how to fix it?
I'm on a new iPad 2 running the current iOS and am syncing with a Mac Pro running the current version of Snow Leapard.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Applecare came to the rescue!  They had me backup and then restore my iPad which fixed the problem.

  • Website displaying wrong title

Hi, I just created a website and gave it a title in the 'site publishing settings', however, when I visit my site it shows the title 'text' instead of the name I gave it. It also shows 'text' in the tab in which my site is loaded and also on the different pages of the site. In the (mobileme) web address it also shows the correct title.
Any suggestions to why this occurs and how I can change it?
    Many thanks in advance!

When you add a page, iWeb uses the large textbox at the top of the page, usually the Header layer,as the Title of the webpage.
If that textbox is misisng iWeb uses the next textbox it can find. Up to a point.
If any textbox is missing, it uses the pagename from the Sidebar as the title.
Your pages have a textbox behind the image at the top.
Find the textbox and use it. There's no need to make the textbox visible on the page. Just add the text, make it very very small (use the fontpalette) and make the text color transparent (opacity=0).
Then you have a title without seeing it on the page.

  • P2 ingested footage with wrong date created metadata

Hello, we're trying to standarize all of the media for our systems. Part of this includes ingesting P2 footage using Prelude and encoding it as DVCHDPro quicktime files. I know that the recommended method that adobe gives for ingesting P2 footage is to keep the file structure in tact and use the media browser function of Premiere; this, however, doesn't suit our company's needs of maintaining a relativaly NLE-agnostic media library and having quicktime compatiable discrete video clips of all our media. We're using Mac OSX operating systems, by the way.
The problem is that, when using Prelude to ingest, it seems that Prelude obliterates the "date created" metadata and file data (e.g. when selecting the "get info" on the clip itself; that file data). After ingesting a clip, if I open it in Premiere, there is no date-based metadata that matches the original record time on the .mxf file itself. Nor when I view the clip in OSX's "get info" does the "date created" panel reflect the date that the original file was created. It seems that it should be possible to write the original "date created" data to the ingested file (in the ingest panel in Prelude I can see the correct "date created" time); FCPX is able to do this when ingesting P2 media using their systems. Is there an option that I'm missing or is this simply not possible with this version of Prelude?
To illustrate: here's a screencap of the ingest panel in prelude, notice the "date created" column reads 2013-06-28T11:43:05; which is the correct record date of that clip:
However, after I ingest the clip, both within Premiere and the "get info" panel in OSX, the "date created" now refers only to my import time:

Thanks both for your responses. I checked the .mxf file "date created" and it is indeed empty (see picture).
The "date modified time" however, is correct. I do understand that when dragging media directly from the media browser in premiere that the metadata displays correctly; what I think should also happen is that when the footage is ingested and transcoded via Prelude, it should also display correct metadata. As shown in my pictures above, prelude does indeed see the correct "date created" (wherever it gets that information); it just obliterates it after it transcodes the clip; it's not available either in the "get info data" (which, somehow, FCPX does do when importing P2 media through their system) nor (most strangely) in premiere. Any settings or changes that could be made to address this would be appreciated.

  • Wrong information in Metadata Repository

    Hey Guru's,
I searched for objects in the BI Metadata Repository and found an error.
I looked für a query and the corresponding workbook. But I found another workbook that doesn't exist anymore.
As a goal, I'd like to have a screenshot for project documentation. There I can see the data flow from query to workbook an the roles, they are in.
Actually I see on the one hand the data flow from existing query to not existing workbook and on the other hand the right workbook and it's roles.
So there must be an error in tables of metadata repository.
    Can anyone help me.
    Thanks.

  • MuVo slim 256mb: wrong titles given to individual tra

I downloaded an album to my new MuVo - the tracks were in the correct order as on the CD, but the track titles were not. They were the CD track titles but not allocated to the appropriate song tracks on the MuVo. I can't even see that they're any particular pattern e.g. A-Z, and the 'Changing Play' modes doesn't seem to offer any answer. Any help appreciated.

I didn't load the first album from Creative Media Source Organiser. I think it must have been the Microsoft Windows Media Player) but I've now tried again with another album using the CMSOrganiser software. It has listed the tracks in A-Z order, rather than the order on the actual CD. I ripped the tracks from the CD to the CMSOrganiser 'My Library' and then imported them into my MuVu. The tracks showed as being in the CD order when they were in 'My Library' .
Is there a playback setting on the MuVu which will play the tracks as they are listed on the CD or am I not downloading them to the MuVu correctly? Thanks.

  • Published My Site - Wrong Titles on Title Bars?

I just published my first website:
    www.energysavingsprayfoam.com
[If you looked] All the pages just have the URL of the
website as the title on the title bar. I know I have the proper
HTML for specific, different titles to show up for every page, here
    it is:

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
    charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Fortkamp Foam Insulation - Commercial,
    Residental, Industrial</title>
When you look at the source for the site through Internet
Explorer (or whichever browser), there's a line of HTML that says
    this:
    <head>
    <title>www.EnergySavingSprayFoam.com </title>
    </head>
What's up? How do I get the proper title to show up for each
