WRT-160NL & iPhone 3G problems

Hi all, I am literally 3 feet away from my router and I cannot get a wifi signal or I barely get 1 bar on the wifi icon. Sometimes it will connect for a moment and then disconnect. What gives? I have a MacPro over 30 feeet away and I get full wifi and a Macbook about 15 feet away and get full wifi. It's an iPhone 3G running the latest software. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running the router in the following config wiht the latest firmware (B17):
Wireless Configureation: Manual
Network Mode: Mixed
Network name: xxxxxxx
Channel Width: Standard - 20mhz Cannel
Wide Channel: (grayed out)
Standard Channel: 11-2.462ghz
SSID Broadcast: Enabled
Security Mode: WP2 Personal
Encryption: TKIP or AES
Key Renewal: 3600 seconds
SPI Firewall Protection: Enabled

Login to the Router setup page and click on the Wireless tab and click on the Sub tab "Wireless MAC Filter" if its enable then you need to Disable it and click on Save Settings.... Then click on "Advance Wireless Settings" and below Change the Beacon Interval to 50,Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2201,Change the RTS Threshold to 2202 and Click on Save Settings...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...
If that still doesn't solves your problem then i think you need to upgrade the firmware of your Router. Once the firmware on your router is upgraded then you need to reset your router and re-configure all the settings on it from scratch.

WRT 160nl USB Storage Problems

Hi, just got the 160nl recently.
My problem is with my 1TB Maxtor Touch (NTFS). It works well for 20min, when connected to the USB point in the router. But after that, the response of the drive is slow, streaming becomes choppy, and then eventually the drive is no longer visible.
My PC is connected with a ethernet cable. I've upgraded to the latest firmware. I've done reboots, resets, but it still works for 30 min and then later it stops responding.
Anyone else facing problems like mine?

Try to reset and reconfigure the router as you have the firmware upgraded .
Also if you have any other Hard Drive try connecting that and see if the same thing happens .
What is the current firmware version on your router ?

i have tried this new charset combination specifically for iphone and i m waiting for response from sweden alliance.....i hope this works fine as iso works great for 8-bit characters.
would like to have your thoughts though.

Open Mac Mail.
From the menu bar click Mail > Preferencees then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab then click + to add the account.

Iphone 4 problems after 7.0.2 update--Especially with keyboard entries

I am having serious iphone 4 problems after installing the 7.0.2 update. Mostly it is with use of the keyboard. Each key stroke takes about 8 seconds to show. It is truly disabling. Apparently many others have had various problems. The one thing the Apple Tech would tell me was that 7.0.2 cannot be uninstalled. I have restarted & reset. Settings shows I have more that 20 free GB of space, though I don't know if that's important.

May be you have turned the DO NO DISTURB in your iphone settings.
Check as below DND settings
Settings>>Do Not Disturb
If you are iPhone is on version iOS 5.X there was a bug which does not let the DO NOT DISTURB function properly.
SO, its better you to latest iOS version 7.0.4, no other versions of iOS are signed by APPLE hence forth.

try this and see if it works: connect your iPhone and open up iTunes on your PC. Go to your phone's page. Under Summary page, check manually manage music and videos.

You are seeing your old apple id because that was the ID that was used to download the app, you can't merge apple id.
to update the app, you will have to enter the old password.
Any new apps you download with your new id, will use that id and password.

IPhone camera problems.

Ok. I'm running 3.1.3 on iPhone 3G.
Recently my iPhone just decided that it wasn't going to let me take pictures anymore. All it allows me to do is open the camera app and it shows the camera shutter and that's all it shows and a restart of iPhone doesn't work and a restore of iPhone doesn't help. I don't know what the problem could be. It hasn't gotten any water damage or any physical damage to cause this to happen. I really wish someone could help ! I love to take pictures of funny things and show my friends. Now it used to be jailbroken but I unjailbroke it about a week after 3.1.3 came out and it hasn't been jailbroken since. This problem just started with my iPhone about two days ago.

Hello. I have just purchased a used Apple iphone (8GB)from a local salesmen that sells used items for a cheap price. (For example I purchased this phone for the low price of $200.00). After I purchased it I took it home and, with the instructions given by the salesperson, I jail broke my iphone to a Cincinnati Bell Network Plan with my current SIM card. I realized the iphone worked perfectly as if it was brand new, except for one thing, when I went to take a picture the camera didn't work correctly. While researching my iphone's problem on the internet I have not seen a problem quite like mine. I will explain: When you open the app for "camera" on my iphone by clicking on it the camera comes up, but instead of showing on the screen what a normal camera would show, it simply shows a screen that looks to me as what a closed lens of a digital camera would look like if the screen were to show you. It looks like a closed camera lens every time I open up the app with a small icon on the bottom which symbolizes a camera. When you click on the camera icon the iphone does nothing and acts as if you clicked on nothing. To solve this problem I have taken it back to the salesman to ask for help. He took it in for 2 days in which he said he would fix it. When he returned it he sated that he fixed the problem and all I would have to do is put a different camera app on my iphone. However after trying 3 different camera apps, which i wasted money on, I am still left with the same closed lens look on every camera app I have installed. All the camera apps on my phone, new and old, do not react to any touching of the screen after open to open the lens or take a picture. They just simply show the "closed lens" look on the screen, thus NOT fixing my problem. Thank you for any help you can address my problem with. It is much appreciated and if I can fix this problem I won't feel as if I have wasted $200.00 and counting on my iphone and the apps I have installed to fix the issue addressed above.

Updating a iPhone 3GS - problems

I have bought an old iPhone 3GS for my daughter and it had no wifi showing. I was advised to do a software update via iTunes however it is now stuck on the iTunes connect / connected page. If i connect to iTunes it scans and then an error message appears on the itunes page saying "sorry we cant continue with your connection at this time"
If i switch the phone off and back on i am still stuck in the itunes set up - can anyone advise me? Before at least it was a working phone with internet connection now it won't do anything!! Thanks

I HIGHLY suggest He create a new AppleID for himself.
He can do it now then simply use the new AppleID when he gets the iPhone.
Best suggsetion its to have a computer login for him wtih is own iTunes and then he will have his own contacts, calendars and all other data.
He can do that now & set up iCloud then when he gets the phone, he can simply enter his AppleID and its done.
