WRT100 works for 1 wireless, but fails 2 others to internet

I just bought my sister and BIL a used WRT100. I set everything up, and followed the directions on how to reset to default, and then programmed the router for use in their home. When I got done the setup (using WPA2 complete with a secure passphrase), I was able to hook MY wireless laptop (Win XP Pro) to the network, and get out to the internet with no issues. When I hooked their laptop (Vista Home) up, I was able to connect to the router, but unable to connect out to the internet. I could ping the router, and MY laptop, but no go with the internet. I then went to their desktop (Win XP Home), which is where I did the programming from (and still wired up), and it was not able to get out to the internet. I worked on the Vista laptop for about an hour before I had to leave, and plan on returning this weekend.
Has anyone else had any issues such as this? I also plan on upgrading the firmware as soon as I get down there. TIA

Change the SSID to unique name..Make sure that XP Desktop is supporting WPA2 Security...If it does not then,try to change the Security to WPA or WEP...Also,Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz.

Magic Mouse One-Finger Swipe Works for one user but not the other

For the main account on my iMac, I can use a single finger swipe to move back and forward within Chrome. However the second user (also an administrator) cannot use this setting and must instead use the two finger swipe in settings. Both settings are identical but the Chrome browser wont recognize the single finger swipe for the second user. The gesture works fine in Safari, but not Chrome. Any suggestions?

Ant Scripts works fine in one but fails in other environment

Ant script is working fine in Dev environment but is failing in the other environment. Somehow the BPEL server is not able to pick the latest deployed process , due to this the dependent BPEL processes are failing. If we restart the server , it moves forward and then fails at the point where it couldn’t find reference to the processes deployed after restart. Restarting the server at every failed interval will deploy all the BPEL processes which is not the solution.
example : we have BPEL Processes say A, B, C, D and E. A,B are independent processes C is dependent on A, D is independent and E is dependent on D. So I have Ant script to deploy in A,B,C,D,E order. Now I run the Ant Script: It deploys A,B processes and Fails at C saying it couldn't find the process A.wsdl(But A is deployed). So if i restart now it recognizes A and B are deployed so C is also deployed succesfully it also deploys D as it is Independent but fails at E. If i restart the server E is also deployed.
The Environment is clustered.
Any suggestion to make my Ant script to run at a go will be highly appreciated

Printing inmediately works in one step but fails in other step of same job

Hello all,
I´m defining a job in SM37 with 2 steps which both of them should be printed inmediately. For this reason in each step I define "print out inmediately" in print specifications>properties>time of printing-->print out inmediately. The strange thing is that only works in one step (works means is printed inmediately) but in the other it doesn´t and I get the message SY355 "spool request without inmediate output"
In Default Tab of user who is running both steps is not marked "output inmediately" but as far as I know it is not needed (that´s the reason we marked the option in the steps of the job).
I changed the option f time of printing from "print out inmediately" to "print later" and back again to "print out inmediately" but it didn´t work. I deleted the step of the job and recreated again but it didn´t work.
I have the same job with 2 steps defined in other SAP systems and are working properly (same version but probably different patching). The version of the system is ECC 6.0.
Any ideas?

We dind´t find the reason to this behaviour but we did a workaround: define a third step with program rspo0065 which print spool orders.

Performing a mass rename on originals to get rid of backslashes in file names. Worked for most files but failed for some with OSSStatus -43. Can't find any info on error -43. Any ideas?

I'm moving all my managed files to be referenced so I can access from both Aperture and lightroom. Needed to do a rename on 16,000 files to get rid of backslashes in the file names. Most of the time it worked but for 1093 files it gave OSSStatus -43. I've tried googling the error and got nothing. Any ideas where to begin looking?

How are you renaming the files? In the "File > Relocate original file" dialog panel? Are you using a custom name format?
Have you checked in Aperture, if the originals, that are giving you the error message, are still inside the Aperture library?

Time capsule wifi working for Apple TV, but not my other 3 devices.

I recently moved. At my previous address, I had my Time Capsule creating a wifi network that all my devices connected to without a problem. Now, only my Apple TV connects. My MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad do not connect. They can see the network, but my MacBook says "you have a self-assigned IP address and cannot connect to the internet." My phone and iPad see the network but never connect - the little wheely thing just spins and spins. Note, my internet provider and cable modem are now different.
Here are the things I've tried so far. Can you think of anything else I should try, or something I should try again?
- I have reset my modem and my timecapsule, and then all my devices
- I have tried manually going to a website by typing in an IP address but it won't open.
- I have tried specifying open DNS addresses
- I have turned Airport off, removed Airport as a connection method, forgot my network, removed the password from my keychain, and then reset my computer and turned all of that back on.
- I have tried renaming the wifi network and setting up a new password.
I would appreciate any suggestions! Thank you.

I fixed it! I tried resetting my settings on all devices, but that didn't work. I found the bad setting:
In Airport utility > manual settings > internet > internet connection. "Connection sharing" was set to bridge. Once I updated that to "Share a public IP address" and then reset my modem, router, and devices, that fixed the problem!

Freenx works for one user but not the other

user A can log in fine and gets a pretty LXDE desktop, user B gets to the part after the !M logo with "established the display connection" then the freenx client crashes.
It's set up with SLIM and LXDE.

Not knowing which wireless keyboard you bought, it is difficult to be specific. but ...
it is quite normal for the keyboard's power light not to stay on - it is a way of conserving battery power.
Try this:
turn you keyboard off
on your iPad go to Settings > Bluetooth
if your keyboard is listed under Devices, then touch the little blue i to its right and choose Forget this Device
now reset your iPad: hold both the Home and Power buttons down for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears, let go promptly when the Apple logo appears and wait another 30 seconds for your iPad to turn itself on
After your iPad is back on again go back to Settings > Bluetooth
now turn your keyboard back on and see if it appeard under Now Discoverable
if it doesn't read your keyboard guide to figure out how to put it into Discovery mode
touch the listing for your keyboard under Now Discoverable, it should now appear under Devices
touch the listing for you keyboard under Devices, and choose to pair with it.

Generally and at times we all have little idiosyncrasies appearing with the running of our Macs.
I use the same Logitech BT with my MBP. MB & iBook..(not at the same time) Only ever had one issue

The cause: It is now clear what caused this problem. For years I had several “all-day” events in my Outlook calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). In May 2012 I decided to make some of them one hour events so I could add alerts to remind me of the event. I did this by dragging them in Outlook to the time I wanted and expanding them to the time slot desired and then adding the alarm.
The symptom: Syncing stopped working for the calendar but continued working for contacts and notes. I didn’t realize sync was failing until months later when I missed two very important phone calls, so when I noticed it the cause was not obvious.
The failed attempts: I’m head of a software firm and my calendar sync is a crucial to my business life so I took this on with a vengeance. From a quick look at events in Outlook and the iPhone I could see that the problem started in May 2012. Events before May were in both Outlook and the iPhone but events after May were only one or the other. Unfortunately I had changed several other things at the same time relating to other events so again the cause was not obvious. MANY calls with AppleCare proved them incompetent so my internal IT guys assisted trying many things. We tried a huge number of calendar changes and several versions of iTunes, iPhone OS and Office as well as both iPhone 4 and 5, all without success.
The fix: After 18 months of frustration, MANY hundreds of $ expense and MANY hours of wasted time I saw a blog that had a calendar sync problem and it indicated all day events were related. I changed the display of the Outlook calendar to the list view, added columns so I could see “all day” event check marks as well as times of events, sorted on the “all day” event column to move them to the top, and for all events that were “all day” events AND had a start and end time, I removed recurrence and then added the annual recurrence back…
After I fixed all events that had BOTH “all day” set and had a start/end time, I tried another sync. It synced for the first time in 18 months!
Problem occurred May 2012 – fixed Nov 2013

Relatively simple package to get OLE-DB connection to MS FoxPro 9.0 DB
The failure in the job log states that the path is invalid its a network path (\\192.168.1.xxx\foldername) this has been run several ways with the remote computer being mapped as a network drive and through the \\ notation described above.
Thinking it was a security issue between the SQL agent account and my account I tested by subsitution myself as a proxy account for the agent when running this job, again same result failed on network path.
One issue I see is that the remote computer is running Server 2000 (legacy software incompatable with newer versions)
Is it possible that this is a security issue, since if i understand correctly the current MS domain security model didn't exist until Server 2003.

Have you got the issue resolved? Based on your description, please make sure the target folder is shared properly. If the computer on which the SQL Server Agent job runs doesn’t join the domain as the server that hosts the shared folder, you have to share
the folder with everyone by adding “Everyone” to the people list on the File Sharing page of the folder and assign "Read/Write" permission to it.

Apple TV working fine with Wireless, but not on Ethernet

I just got an Apple tv for my B-day and I can't get the Ethernet port to work.
It works fine on wireless but if i plug in the cable to my 5 port switch that then goes to my router it will not login to the store, or sync or fine youtube. It has and ip and everything. I tried opening that port 38 something. And no go? Does anyone have any ideas?
I have a 2wire router, and one 5 port switch, the PS3, Wii and Xbox all work on the switch just fine.
I even upgrade to firmware 2.01

I have tried another ethernet cable but no go. I'm going to get a new one at the store today. As for the IP. the first time I plugged it in the IP was way diffrent from the one on my router so i manually added the new ip and subnet mask etc etc. And still no go. It is seen in itunes but tells me it can't sync. And if i go to the Apple TV it will not open any of the web enabled features. No you tube, no store, no nadda.

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.

Airplay works for one user but not for another on the same machine

I have the problem where airplay works for one user but not for another and both users are on the same machine. For the user where it does not work, everything appears normal, it's just that there is no sound being transmitted. I have tried restarting the Airport express, restarting iTunes, repairing disk permissions. Any ideas about what can be done to resolve this?
