WRT120N: QOS doesn't accept my phone's MAC address

My Linksys WRT120N router doesn't accept my cellphone's MAC address... I wonder why.
Phone's MAC address is AC:81:F3:08:13:F5 but upon adding the MAC address Internet Access Priority Category based on MAC address, I get an error "Assign MAC address is incorrect".
I wonder why.

Looks like this issue is not exclusive to only Linksys firmware...
This looks like it could be an interesting if not risky workaround fix example used for netgear routers: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=856799
BTW: I don't have any issue assigning non-standard 00 beginning mac address on my linksys routers running open source firmware!

Hold on: contact, calendar and task data synchronization with iCal and the Address Book—using iSync—is not a process related at all to transferring photos or other media content to or from your computer and mobile handset.
If you are attempting to transfer photos from your Samsung SGH-P207, it could be a very serious challenge. This mobile handset has no Bluetooth capability. It has no memory expansion slot. Available USB transfer kits are relatively expensive and do not offer support for Mac OS X. These are not iSync—or even Apple—issues at all: they are Samsung issues. And, for what it is worth, this Samsung handset has been discontinued.
If you intend to look for a replacement handset that is compatible with iSync and can be used on the Cingular network, you'll have to find the intersection of devices which are on the iSync Compatible Device list at the link below, and advertised as available from Cingular:

You may have to restore the device to get access to it. You may have a backup to restore from on icloud if you don't back up to itunes.

Phone Registration - Mac Address Increase Needed

Strange one, I wondered if people had encountered it. We havent until recently and its random affects random users?
We have switchports set up with seperate voice and data vlans and a max of 3 macs
switchport access vlan 71
switchport mode access
switchport nonegotiate
switchport voice vlan 553
switchport port-security maximum 3
switchport port-security
auto qos voip cisco-phone
spanning-tree portfast
Users complain they are disconnected and the phone is trying to register. When you check the switchport the phone MAC is stuck in the native untagged vlan 1. Clearing MAC and port security does not work, Removing the voice vlan and adding it back does not work, however Increasing the Mac address Max command to 4 allows it to start using the Voice Vlan again and register.
Has anyone experienced this before? I guess I need span the port when it occurs again and pick apart a capture!

How do I move contacts from phone to Mac Address Book

I just bought an iPhone 4 and they moved my contacts from my Blackberry to the iPhone OK.
Now I want to move the contacts from the iPhone to my Mac Address Book.
I'm afraid if I sync the phone with a blank Address Book it will erase the contacts on my phone.
Please help me.

Going to give it a go. Had a back up of all my clients files stupidly not my software as I have the originals disks. Just realised that amongst the software is ibiz and have lost al my accounting and billing files for the last 7 years want to cry so losing my contacts now will really tip me over the edge!

802.1x phone with two MAC address

I have following scenario: Computers are connected behind phones, and phones are authenticating with MAB. The problem is with phones, because they have two mac addresses one is in voice vlan and another is in data vlan. Both phone and computer are authenticated successfully but when switch sees additional MAC address of phone in data vlan it shuts down port. Here is sample configuration:
interface FastEthernet0/1
switchport mode access
switchport access vlan 10
switchport voice vlan 15
authentication host-mode multi-domain
authentication port-control auto
dot1x pae authenticator
authentication violation shutdown
mab
spanning-tree portfast

Can you verify if the phone's mac address is being learned on the data vlan and the voice vlan? Because cisco phones use cdp to discover if a voice vlan is configured on the switchport before forwarding traffic.
Please issue a show mac address table interface x/y after bouncing the port to see what is causing the port to error disable.
Also what version of code is running on the switch and phone?

Try using these steps to stop Lost Mode from iCloud.com:
Stop Lost Mode or change your contact info
Sign in to icloud.com/#find with your Apple ID (the one you use with iCloud).If you’re using another iCloud app, click the app’s name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Find My iPhone.
Click All Devices, then select the device that’s in Lost Mode.
Click Lost Mode, then change the information or click Stop Lost Mode.

What do you mean when you say "my iphone doesn't accept my sim cart"?
Do you mean it doesn't physically fit? If so, you will need to go to your carrier and get a Micro-SIM or you will have to cut your SIM down to size.
If you mean the phone is carrier locked and tells you you are trying to use an unsupported SIM, you will have to contact the carrier the phone is locked to and see if they can/will unlock it. ONLY the carrier can authorize unlocking.
U.S. carriers will NOT unlock iPhones.

Thank you everyone for the replies. It defiantly helped point me in the right direction. With any luck, I will have my replacement phone sometime tomorrow.
I was able to call the iPhone support line this morning. The Apple rep stayed on the line with me for about an hour until he was sure the new phone would ship out. For $199 plus $29 for expedited handling I was able to get the replacement ordered with overnight shipping. Since the replacement doesn’t involve ATT&T I have no reason to suspect any further delays. Kudos to the Apple rep that helped me straighten out this mess.
It’s a shame that AT&T cares so little for their existing customers. Not only did they try to sell me the same phone for $499, they outright refused to help me. They also lied to me on numerous occasions and strung me along for close to three weeks for something that only took an hour to complete with the Apple rep.
I filed a formal complaint against AT&T through the Better Business Burrow as well as requested a review of our cooperate contract with AT&T. Our company currently has over 3000 phones with AT&T and there contract comes up for bid the end of our fiscal year (this October). We will be giving it heavy consideration before we consider renewing their contract.
I doubt that any of that will matter to a company that cares so little about their customers, but you never know.
Thanks again for all your help. I would probably still be trying to get my replacement for the next few months if it wasn’t for your suggestions.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

This is what I found out about my own question as nowhere in my search of Apple support was there a similar problem addressed.
What I found that was very frustrating in Apple Support was the references to going into FaceTime preferences to reset certain items. But it can't be opened
if I couldn't activate the sign in... and yes I was very careful with entering correct symbols for i.d. and password. Also, navigating the site is such a mishmash that searches kept changing as I found myself in communities without any reference to backtrack how I got there.
Enough grousing.
I am fortunate to have a TD Curran store nearby. They are a licensed Apple Dealer and service center located in the NW of the U.S.A. They used my id and password, activated the program and tested it on their store phone.
The only thing I could determine that was different was the ISP. The store had a Comcast Commercial business contract- high speed.
My ISP is CLEAR WiMAX out of Portland, OR. When they were independent and just starting I signed on for a very reasonable monthly with the lowest speeds- they have served me well until this fiasco.
My speeds are download ~ 0.789 mbps and upload ~0.390 mbps.
This, I hope, helps at least one person.

Ovi maps doesn't accept my Nokia account user name...

It was necessary to do an *#7370# reset on my phone, every things is fine now, except the point that I can't log on to Ovi from the maps application to get my maps favourites back to the phone.
Maps doesn't accepts my user name anymore. I got an error massage "no special characters allowed", but I have dots in my user name.
I don’t have any problems with logging on to other Ovi services either they are PC based nor from my mobile.
Creating a new account doesn't bring me back my maps favourites, therefore it's no solution for my problem.
I tried to install an older maps version, but have sis files for version 3.03 and 3.04 only and both versions doesn’t allow my to log in to Ovi.
Does anybody has an idea what to do?
