WRT120N router reinstall without disc

I am having major problems with my router. My sister was here visiting and I connected her computer to my wireless service and it took over my wireless connection and now its only showing her information, not mine. I tried to reset router by doing the 30-30-30 and now I have to reinstall but I dont have disc. Does anyone have a clue ? Im not a computer whiz at all! Thanks

If your router has gone into maintenance mode after the 30-30-30 hard reset it should ask to upload a firmware. You can get the firmware in the download section at the below link:

I purchased iLife HD family pack and my daughter has the disc at college with her. Can I reinstall using the installation package on my hard drive? I'm pressed for time and need it now versus waiting for my daughter to ship it if at all possible.

I can't remember which version of iMovie ("iLife") came with an iMac G4, but I don't think it was an HD version.
If you haven't yet installed the original version which came with your iMac (..though that sounds improbable..) you should be able to install it from the original discs. You may want to use 'Pacifist' to rummage around inside those installation discs to find iMovie on them.
"..Can I reinstall using the installation package on my hard drive?.." ..I think you'll find that you have a receipt on your hard drive, if you installed iMovie HD from "iLife HD", but iMovie will probably have been installed directly from the iLife DVD, and there's unlikely to be a re-installable package, unless I'm very much mistaken.
[..Any iMovie.pkg is likely to be an old downloaded version, such as iMovie 3 ..from the days when iMovie was free, and was simply downloaded from Apple's website ..you could double-click on any such package, and see what it says it's going to install, but beware; it may be an older version than the one you currently use!..]
But why reinstall anyway? If it's already been installed on your hard disc from the "iLife HD" disc, why the need to do it again? ..Perhaps you can explain a little more..

I need to reinstall snow leopard but cannot find my install discs; i only have the original Tiger ones on hand. Do I need to completely repurchase Snow Leopard? Just to be clear; Snow Leopard is installed, but needs to be reinstalled as there seems to be some corruption. Help!

Yes you will have to buy the 10.6 Snow Leopard white retail disks online someplace like Amazon or even eBay, perhaps OtherWorld Computing or other Mac related websites as your machine came with Tiger.
The Snow Leopard grey disks that come with a new Mac (that had Snow Leopard installed at the factory) can be reordered from Apple proving the serial number of the Mac and waiting for them to be delivered.
Having a Carbon Copy Cloner of your Snow Leopard boot drive would have come in assistance here, as well as making copies of Snow Leopard install disks

Power outage - HDD Problem - How to reinstall without disc drive?

Hi there,
due to a power outage the journalling of the hdd of the mac mini server running Snow Leopard Server is corrupt and repairing was impossible. I've got to reinstall the system now somehow, but the mac mini doesn't come with a disc drive. I tried to create a bootable USB stick but that didn't work for the server version of Snow Leopard. I really need help with this ... Any ideas?

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

Backup your user file folders to a external drive and disconnect.
Make sure you have a stable, reliable, fast Internet connection, use Ethernet cable if possible.
Hold Command R and boot from the Lion Recovery Partition, get online in the upper right corner, reinstall Lion, it will simply install Lion again and your bundled programs without touching your files or most all third party programs.

There's a new menu entry in the latest version, allowing you to download all the extra content directly onto your hard drive, without having to keep inserting new DVDs etc. It's 19gb (compressed). If you have a normal/decent internet connection, you could reinstall your loops while you're busy doing something else. Or busy doing nothing.

Don't know if ubuntu had repartition everything but you could try pressing F11 repeatley after power on button is pressed.

Http 403 error message when connecting to WRT120n router

I recently upgraded to the WRT120n router at home. I quickly connected my desktop computer, my wife's Mac and two Lenovos, but my son's HP Pavilion cannot access the Internet. It returns the http 403 error message. Windows (Vista) and Network Magic tell me the laptop is connected to the router and the Internet, but the browser does not work. Have tried IE, Chrome and Firefox - same result. Have also tried to connect with cable. Hooking up wirelessly with WPA, was no problem, but the browser is unable to access the Internet.
Grateful for any help.

What is the ip address you are getting on the Vista Computer..?
Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt...A black box will appear(Command Prompt)...In the Command Prompt window type ipconfig and press 'Enter'...Look for Wireless Network Connection IP Address , Subnet Mask and Default Gateway...
IP Address should be 192.168.1.x, Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1 (assuming your router is 192.168.1.1)...
If you get the above mentioned IP Address, Subnet and Gateway Address then you should ping the Gateway, type ping 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...If it gives you request timed out then disable any firewalls, security softwares on the computer...
If you get 4 replies then type ping 4.2.2.2 and press Enter, if you get request timed out, then you need to upgrade your router's firmware...If you get 4 replies then type ping yahoo.com and press Enter...If you get replies for Yahoo then you should get the Internet after adjusting the browser settings...
Adjusting Browser Settings : Open an IE, click Tools >> Internet Options, then delete all files, cookies, history, forms...Goto "Connections", make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked, click on LAN Settings and make sure all the options are unchecked...Once you are done click on O.k...Close the IE and re-open it...
If yahoo times out then provide static DNS on your LAN Connection...

Just reinstall iTunes. I done the same thing without losing my iTunes library.

What version of Bridge and Photoshop and what platform? Mac or Windows? I can point you to a downloadable installer.
If the cdrom was damaged, it may be the problem.
You would uninstall and use the CC/CS Cleaner to remove any remnants before reinstalling.
