WRT150N and WRE54G: can I connect these two?

I have been using my WRT150N v1.1 for a couple of years and have always had spotty Wi-Fi signal on my deck (but it's been flawless within my home). My brother just gave me an extra WRE54G v3 which he no longer uses. So... I was wondering:
- Can I use the WRE54G with my WRT150N?
I've been reading on this for hours and I've come to the conclusion that "no" is the answer since my WRT150N is not a "WDS-based product." Is this final determination correct?
The one great thing that I have going for me is that I already have a very long Ethernet cable running from my WRT150N all the way out to my deck (so that I can plug my laptop directly into the network when I am on my deck, due to Wi-Fi not being strong).
I was hoping that I would then not have to rely on WDS to use the WRE54G. Is there a way to set the WRE54G up so that instead of being a "repeater," it acts as an "access point?" I was thinking that I could plug the WRE54G into the aforementioned Ethernet cable and use the Wi-Fi capability of the WRE54G to connect my laptop and iPhone to my LAN.

Yes the WRE54G is not compatible with WRT150N Router. You cannot setup WRE54G in an AP mode as it doesn't have that option to do it. May be you need to get an Access point which will do that work for you.

For some time I've been trying to connect a Powerbook 520, running OS 7.1, to a G5, running Tiger 10.4.8 (also has Classic environment). Was hoping to type up some stuff in Word on the considerably more portable 520 and copy it over to the G5 when needed.
I bought an AAUI to RJ45 transceiver and an ethernet crossover cable yesterday. Plug it all in today and this method doesn't seem to be working. The G5 can see it but says the AFP protocol is incorrect. Via Classic I go into AppleShare and it sees the Powerbook but I get an error each time. The Powerbook doesn't see the G5 at all.
I also have a HDI 29/30 SCSI adapter and tried to hook up my CD burner and it said it needed 7.5 and later. Terrific! Not
I have a dial-up modem for it too but have totally forgotten how to hook old Macs up to the internet.
I'm trying to get around this in the cheapest way possible, but purchasing connector after connector is adding up $$$-wise, which is hard to justify on such an old computer... I won't rule out buying a USB floppy for the G5 but this is bordering on obsessiveness. Maybe I should just give up the whole idea...Mac OS X 10.4.x has certain limitations as far as file sharing with older systems is concerned. You may want to study posts made by Grant Bennet-Alder regarding this (e.g. here). With the correct software installed, you ought to be able to manage the connection from the PowerBook side.
System 7.5.3 (for example, British and US) is available for download from Apple.
System 7.5.3 contains the necessary TCP/IP files for the Internet. The modem (especially if internal) may require proprietary software (post back with type et cetera for additional information). An external modem will often work without special drivers. MacPPP 2.5.3 (here) will handle the PPP connection. Files can be transferred via email.
It is also possible to connect two computers modem-to-modem (locally). See, for instance, KB article # 22229.
If the PowerBook 520 is equipped with a PCMCIA expansion module, a CompactFlash memory card in a PC Card adapter (something like this one) will provide you with a fast alternative file transfer method (with a USB card reader attached to the other computer).

I want to transfer an audiobook and a movie from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone 4S, and can't figure out how. I went to "Help" and it said after connecting the two devices I should "Click Apps," but I can't find anything labeled "Apps" to click. Help?!!
If you have iTunes 11 on your Mac then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S, that might make it easier to navigate.
Connect the phone to your Mac and select it on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of the screen there should be a series of tabs which you can use to select what to sync to the phone. If it's an audiobook then it should appear on the Books tab for selecting/syncing, and films will be on the Movies tab. When you've got the audiobook on your phone you should get an Audiobooks option in the Music app (you might need to tap the '...' tab at the bottom of the Music app to see it). -

Not that I know. S&T pricing only applies to verified institutions. Could well be that you may need to fill out a paper with whatever governmental authority is responsible on the planet you live, but otherwise you're just a private business like any other and would most likely deduct the expenses from your tax bill...

Can I open these two database simultaneously on a same system?
I have cloned the current database using Oracle EM Clone tool on a same WinXP system. Can I open these two database simultaneously on a same system? If can, How can Iogin to another database(cloned database)?
You should be able to start both databases if you did the cloning correctly.
EM use RMAN duplicate to clone database. It's basically created a AUXILIARY database and duplicate target database into it.
You must enter destination global name and instance name before proceed. What's instance name you entered?
set your ORACLE_SID to that instance name and login. -

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.

How should I connect these two AirPort networks?
Hi all,
I have had to reset both of my networks; one an AirPort Extreme and the other an AirPort Express. As it stands, the Extreme has a USB printer and a NAS drive connected to it, while the Express is my gateway to the internet. Right now I have to switch networks to either access the internet, or print.
I'm open to suggestions on how to connect these two networks. My goal is to be able to printer, connect to the internet, and connect to the NAS drive without switching networks.

EdOne option would be to configure both of your base stations in a Wireless Distribution System (WDS). In this type of configuration, you'll be able to both access the Internet and/or print without having to change wireless networks.

While downloading the latest IOS update to my iPhone 4S, my phone went into a frozen state with the update 2/3's complete. It's remained like this for the past 12 hours. I can't turn the phone off, and I can't connect it to iTunes. Anyone know what to do?
If the place of purchase does not have a 'Lemon' policy (three replacements = refund or complete exchange), sadly you are out of luck.
And Apple themselves do not have any power over what policy a reseller uses. You can call Apple Care and have them replace it, but the odds are you would probably get a standard replacement again like has previously happened. I'm pretty sure Apple holds their own sort of 'Lemon' polocy where if it's been replaced three times through them they'll swap it out for a brand new phone. Not 100% sure though, best bet is too call them again.
And it ***** getting a response like that from their support personel, but hey, they can't all be that bad can they? I'm sure if you plead your case they'll try and help out. I've dealt with them in the past and had one or two people that rubbed me the wrong way, but most of them have been a great help and kept me a happy customer, haha.

I use static ip-adresses on my home network with a WEP 128bit security. I have entered all configuration that I enter under tcp/ip properties on my but there is one property on the touch that I don't recognise from my PC and that is someting that translated could be named "Search Domains". It's the last property under the static wireless config tab.I have no idea what I am doing... but once i changed the proxy (HTTP) my life is just miserable, no sites open, like its really annoying. You can use any computer but your data will be lost if you have no backup.

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
