WRT150N MUST BE POWERED DOWN AND BACK UP!

Good day, I have a problem with my WRT150N in that each morning before I can access the router I must power it off and then power it back up. Until I power down/up the router, Windows and Linksys both show no network available. Not a matter of a network available and unable to connect, just no network available. It is a simple process but very annoying..once this is done the connection is good except for dropping the connection every so often but this is easily corrected by allowing windows to "Repair" the connection..and then it will work until the next dropped connection, which may be in 2 minuets or 2 hrs. This "Repair" works about 95% of the time and on the occasions that it does not work, I do have to power down and back up the WRT150N and it works fine. I have had the WRT150N for about 6 months and have had this problem for a couple of months now. I use the WPC300N adapter with XP. The dropped connection is just the wireless connection as the wired connection will work when the wireless does not. I have not updated the firmware to the router as it is version 1.1. The uninstall and reinstall did not work..if fact it disabled the router and put me back to doing a complete uninstall of everything..all the software, reset the router, only then would it work but with the same problem..I have been in live chat with three different techs and they all have a different solution...one thinks my adaptor might be at fault..don't buy that, one suggested I upgrade my firmware but when I log on to check for updates it tells me I have the latest verison..1.01.9, the version listed on the Linksys site for latest version for the WRT150N and the other one didn't seem to have a clue before we got cut off...so, I am back to where I was..able to access the net and can do so with no problem...it's just that I have to do a power down and power up before I can log on to the router...I use Windows for my connection..I don't know why the uninstall and the reinstall did what it did but I do not want to go through that again..If you have any other ideas I would appreciated it..Thanks and have a great day!

    Im having this same problem an my phone is about 3 weeks old. I am not sure about the voice over part though...I have not yet figured out how to work the voice recognition part of the phone...I am such a newbie with this phone. I did the power off/on suggestion, several times. I tried leaving it off for 10 minutes. Tried to reset with the power on/off and home button pressed at the same time. Charged battery. Still makes no difference. You cannot scroll any direction. Have to double click to open apps. Have to double click letters when texting or emailing in order to get the letter in the text box. Can scroll through app choices, have to click on the line with the dots in it and move from page to page. Can't access the settings - > general - > accessibility - because it won't allow me to scroll down to "general".
    Anyone help you with your fix yet?

    I turned off my new Air for the first time in weeks. When I powered back up I was and am missing alot of  open office documents and pictures I had downloaded and saved. Please help these aren't files I can lose.

    Voice command or Voice over?  Two different things.  Voice command can not be disabled, Voice over can.
    Have you tried a restore from backup or as new?

    Try to force quit the mail app
    Double tap the home button. When you see the app previews on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the preview in question on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap the home button or home screen preview to exit the mode.
    Failing that, go into the settings, mail, contacts and calendars and remove your account info then put it back in and see if that works

  • Time capsule is frequently crashing and has to be powered off and back on

    I have had my Time Capsule for several months with no problems. Last few weeks it is crashing several times per day and has to be powered off and back on. When this happens there is no light of any color. The reset button does not work and I have to unplug it and then plug it back in. I have the latest updates. A couple of times it wouldn't restart after I plugged it back in for 10-15 minutes. Any thoughts?

    At minimum power down your entire network starting with modem first. Then wait a few and power back on start with modem first.

    Double tap the Home button, then swop upwards on the App Preview (not the App Icon). Tap the Home button again when done to return to normal screen.

  • Nokia Video Manager - Upside down and back to fron...

    Have been trying to convert some avi(DivX) files to watch on my N95 using the Nokia Video Manager. Converts the files fine and all but they are upside down and back to front??? Have seen that a few people on the net have had the same problem but have not seen a solution to or reason for the problem.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Firmware version 10.0.018 (although this is not the problem as it plays upside down and back to front on my PC as well)
    All languages are English
    The file was a DivX copy of a DVD, I'm not sure which program I used to convert it but all my video files are doing this. Can you suggest a file from the internet which you know to work that i can download and see if it still does the same thing?

    Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
    Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off').     Do you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is it in a surge protector or power bar?     If that does not resolve the issue, post back and let me know if there are any symbols other than green check marks and what they are next to of course. The wrench is not always easy to spot as the wrench and the check mart are in the green circle.

    If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and required user action, but the step was skipped.

  • Behavior after Power Down and Back On

    One utility I have installed on my 3GS is System Activity Monitor. It shows several things, including CPU activity and which processes are active. More CPU activity should mean faster battery drain.
    I started watching CPU activity a couple of days ago. One pattern I've seen is that if I power down with the top button, and then back up, the CPU idle percentage starts quite low, around 30% -- meaning that the CPU is quite active. The idle time quickly rises to the neighborhood of 70-80% and then slowly increases to around 98% -- which I take to mean low battery drain.
    Earlier today I did a Reset to see if that made a difference. It did not: Initial idle time was again quite low in the 30% range.
    I can draw no conclusions from this .. though I will ask my friend the iPhone developer about it, since it does not seem conducive to long battery life.

    Right, what I meant is, you are saying that your only at 30% idle when it wakes up from sleep, meaning CPU usage is at 70% its powering itself up from sleep, it will use quite alot of power to do this. hence when it ends up at 98% its just waking up from sleep.You will see the same thing when you are powering down a computer, when you get the "logging off or shutting down" screen CPU usage goes way up.

    I just received my new Ipad yesterday afternoon. I proceed to setup the device. I follow the instuctions to connect to Itunes. Everything goes well. I setup the ipad as a new device and avoid using my iphone and ipod profiles. Hey great
    Insidiously, the ipad will shut down afer 5 minutes during use and restart. I mean blank screen for a short pause then the appearence of the white apple logo. There is ample battery charge. It continues to cycle like this after I manually shut down and restart. Okay, I restore on 2 different computers, it still does the same actions. While itis working,the ipad is excellent. It is frustrating to be reading my email or a document and the device just stops. Now, I am ready to package the item and ship it back.
    Just curious has anybody experienced this issue and do you have any advice.

    Hi, I have the same problem with my IPad. I have had it for almost a month and was really enjoying it when my problem developed. When I first turn in on, it seems to work for about 3 to 5 minutes when it will then seem to shut down and do a reboot on its self (black screen for a few, then apple icon, then shows the normal screen with the slide on). It will work again until 3 to 5 minutes have past and will again shut down and reboot. After troubleshooting it, restoring it to factory settings I got a hold of the Ipad Support people, went through the hoops in verifying the problem before I sent it to an Ipad Repair facility. It was serviced at the Ipad service center in Elk Gropve, CA. The service center returned it with a letter saying that it could not duplicate the problem. The problem reared itself again the first time I tried to use it with the same symptoms. Since there are no Apple Stores or service centers in my area, I took it to an authorized Mac computer repair/service in my area. They also experienced the same symptoms with my IPad. The were surprized that Ipad Service Center in Elk Grove couldn't duplicate them. Before leaving the Mac service store I talked to a rep via the IPad support center line. I went through the restore procedures, and attempted to download the latest software for the Ipad. It was a real pain as it would continually shut down and reboot during the download and install procedures every 3 to 5 minutes. I again ship the IPad to be repaired/replaced to the IPad service center in Elk Grove. I got an email today stating the service center could not duplicate the problem and my Ipad was useable and functional and was being sent back with the latest software and firmware updates. I hate to be pestimistic, but how do you think my Ipad will work when I try using it again? I hope this is not the norm for Ipad and its Service/Repair Centers...
