WRT150N...on strike!

I had a WRT150N just chilling out under my computer desk and I just got a new notebook. So I go ahead and start setting up the router. Now the router blinks the Power LED and then all of the other lights light up and stay lit. Then it rinses and repeats. When I connect my desktop to it, it repeats the animation for connecting/acquiring network address. I can't run the Firmware utility software that I was suggested to download for a manual firmware installation.
It doesn't get stable enough to get the installation through. I have Windows XP Home. One more note: The router repeats this behavior with or without anything plugged in. And yes, I tried the reset and the unplug/replug solutions. Nothing.

Most probably you already have a diffective unit. You may try to upgrade the router using tftp. Run that. Put your router IP and password. Browse for the firmware's location. If that still doesnt work, check if your device is still in warranty. They will replace routers with issues like that.

I'm going to guess videos buffer for a while also...
Two possibilities, one is you should close apps on the iPad, the other is your internet speed is not able to handle the demands of a high speed device.
To close apps: Double click home button, swipe up to close the apps.
To solve internet problem, contact your provider. Basic internet is not enough for video games and movies. Your router may be old and slow.

Can't highlight, underline, strike through or select text in iOS 7 Adobe Reader

I have enjoyed using Adobe Reader to proofread clients' documents, but since the last two iOS 7 updates I can't highlight, underline, strike through or select text in PDFs generated by the same source that previously presented no problems.
The drawing and insert text functions do work.
I am using an up-to-date iOS 7 iPad 4. The latest Adobe Reader update and a hard reset, as advised elsewhere on the forum, didn't help.
I have read What's New and looked at the Help manual. I am aware of the new long tap to select one word followed by another tap.
What am I doing wrong? Adobe Reader used to work so easily. I won't be paid for the time lost while I try to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

I found it extremely frustrating and I don't have a technically sensible answer for you.
Mine started working again suddenly, but slowly, after many hours of not working, and then improved in speed and responsiveness with use.
The conventional wisdom is to ensure you have the latest update of Adobe Reader first. There has been more than one since the iOS 7 change.
The first time it started working again for me was when I was trying in a pdf that I had previously edited in Adobe Reader before the problem began, where I know all the tools used to work (i.e. no problems caused by the file itself) but it is now also working in the new doc that wouldn't work the other day.
Shradha above gave me the clue that triggered it. I usually go straight to the "Pick a Tool" comment/annotate button in the main/first toolbar at the top, then use the toolbar at the bottom, where the highlight, underline and strikeout tools wouldn't work.
These functions started working when I tried selecting text directly from the first screen that has the toolbar for "View Modes" (an eye), save/export options, "Pick a Tool", share options and search, without selecting any of these options.
So, instead of choosing the Pick a Tool button at the top, try just holding down some text for a while, as if to select it (mine wouldn't even select for a long time) and see if the grey tool menu pops up right above that text.
Initially, I only got the options that were already working to pop up ("Note, Text, Freehand and Signature"). I tried a few different spots in the file and eventually the "Copy/Highlight/Strikeout/Underline/Define" menu popped up. The first time it apppeared was after holding down the text selection action for about 20 seconds, and it didn't appear every time, but then it became quicker and more reliable, and then these functions also started to work from the bottom toolbar that I usually use after choosing Pick a Tool.
Even today, checking that it still works, it was a bit stuttery to start with and then it came good.
Perhaps any of the technically-minded members could explain this or perhaps tell us if there is a difference in the action that is supposed to bring up the "Note" etc versus the "Highlight" etc pop-up menus. I'm stumped.
So try holding down text to select as soon as you open the file, and see if that grey menu will start to appear with the "Highlight" etc options after several attempts. I hope it starts working for you soon.

Objective: I want to create a Counter Strike 1.6 Server and for that i have to forward port 27015.
Networking Issues: Im currently using a Shiro (Dsl Modem) which is given by my ISP & i have connected my DSL modem to my Linksys WRT54G (ver 7.2) router. I connect my laptop thorugh wifi to router.
I know basic port forwarding but that does not help me. I need a complete tutorial on this issue coz i dont have much network knowledge.

Is the IP address 192.168.1.105 really the IP address of the server in your LAN?
Moreover, check what kind of modem you have. Follow the instructions here. If the IP address on the status page is a private IP address and the IP address on whatismyipaddress.com is different then your modem does routing too and you have to configure port forwarding there as well.

Computer won't detect router wrt150n

just bought this wrt150n and internet connection works but computer won't detect it and I cant run my slingbox on it. have tried easy install and disk that came with it.. Any help would be greatly appreciated
oh, i have a cable modem with road runner internet connection. Windows xp.

1)connect the computer to the modem and download EASYLINK CONNECT
1)connect the computer to the router's port 1 and the modem to the router's internet port
2)plug the power cable into the router
3)turn on the computer
4)ensure the lights are properly lit on the router ( power , wireless , port 1 and internet )
5)now , run the setup CD or easylink tool ..
let me know the isp details if you have any other problems

3rd Strike -or- How I Learned to Hate Skype

I believe I've made a huge mistake with my serious efforts to embrace Skype as a viable option to conduct personal business, let alone relying on Skype to keep me in touch with my loved ones. I type "3rd Strike" in my subject-line, but it's more like 4 now...and I won't have the discretionary time to evaluate other solutions to my communications needs; this will have to wait until the weekend.

To summarize: the Windows 8.1 App is a useless pre-beta mess, I can't change my paid-for 2-year contract Skype Number's caller ID (and it comes up as a sanitized Skype user-name), the "Skype Credits" I bought for USELESS ONE-WAY SMSing are a write-off, and this afternoon is the giant turd which clogs the Skype waterpipe: I have ANOTHER potential client who informed me that he'd been trying to reach me all weelend on my Skype number, but would only receive a busy-signal. I was fortunate enough to have met him in person when he'd informed me. Of course, I asked him to verify he had the right number. He produced the slip of paper I myself had written this number down on, and sure enough it was correct. He then produced his cell-phone, dialed my number, and sure enough: BUSY SIGNAL. It turns out that he dialed a "1" at the beginning of the number. WHY?!?
This introduction to Skype has been an extraordinarily frustrating and potentially business-damaging experience. My increasing irritation has only been compounded by Microsoft's seeming laxidasical attitude towards adressing customers' pointed and serious concerns about their Skype product. It is being heavily marketed as this convenient, "hip" communications solution that turns out to be totally un-cooked. I don't have too much experience with the "old" Skype, but I have used it off and on for years...it worked. Now that I was lulled into diving in with the come-ons that came with my business-class Microsoft Surface Pro laptop, I feel like I've been hoodwinked. Not only is Skype NOT anywhere near ready for personal business, it appears based on YEARS of customer complaints here on the "Skype Community" message board that these serious problems have not been addressed in the slightest. In fact, I'll wager with the introduction of the "Modern Windows" Skype app, serious and damaging backsteps have been affected on the product.

Strike Through in ADOBE appears in the subsequent line items

Hello ADOBE Forms creators;
I am using the functionality of Strike through(line through) in my PO line items if the line item is deleted. However, in the following line item which is not marked as deleted if some of the fields have the same value as the deleted item, for example: if the quantity in the previous line(the deleted line item) is 5 and in the current line is also 5, this quantity in the current line item which is not marked as deleted gets the strikethrough as well. But if the value is not the same it will not get the strike through.
Can anyone put some light into this issue. The points will awarded to the correct answer(s).

What you are seeing is exactly as you described....ie. when the fields match in value, it applies to all. This has do to how you are navigating your DOM there in your Javascript. You are not making use of any indexing....just simply saying "any of my field values for quantity, apply this style". You are "referencing by name" to your fields.
You have:
this.parent.items.QUANTITY.blah.blah
when it should look something like (forgive me but off top of my head....look/search for correct syntax)....
this.parent.list.items[index].QUANTITY.blah.blah
basically you need to find the index of your "QUANTITY" children (and other like named fields). They are all "named" the same, so they will have some kind of index to resolved them correctly. It might be an index after "QUANTITY". I am guessing you will look at the index for IND_TXT and then find all other fields with that same index (ie. same row?).

Linksys WRT150N on all Apple network

OK...Here's what's happening.
I have a WRT150N that I've had for several years connected to an older Linksys cable modem. On the network is a Power Mac G4, a 20" iMac, a 13" Aluminum Unibody Macbook, a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo, a Linksys print server, two iPhone 4, an Apple TV 2, an iPad and an iPad 2.
I recently went wireless on all the computers except the G4. The problem is a couple things I have noticed. 1) The iMac seems to lose connection to the router when it comes out of sleep. Restarting the browser 3-4 times brings it back. 2) I use an iPad for music at night on the opposite side of the house from the router. Now I always have a full bar antenna but at some point in the night, the iPad stops playing. At first I was using my Pandora One account and thought maybe they were doing some kind of maintenace and booting me off, or possibly my ISP was. And always a full bar antenna. I was getting this with my old iPhone 3g but thought maybe it was an issue with the iOS on the phone.
So to test a theory, I set up a playlist from iTunes on the iMac (now obviously using ONLY the WiFi in my house) and it does the same thing. Last night when I woke and found it silent, I got up and woke up the iPad and found it scanning from song to song like it couldn't find a song so it moved to the next and so on. I hit pause, then play with the same result. I fully closed the iPod app and restarted and back in business. Mind you when this happened last night with the iPod app on ONLY WiFi, I still showed a full bar antenna. (on a side note, the Apple TV has acted weird several times while streaming or actually playing a movie)
Last Saturday I tested the iPad and Pandora at 3pm till 11:30pm with not one single issue. That night before bed, I stopped the app, restarted so to reset the listen timer from Pandora (I have read there is one) and right on schedule in the wee hours, silence.
I have read many things on the net about Linksys routers randomly dropping connections. Could this be what I am seeing and if so, why does it happen in the wee hours when we are sleeping?
I am seriously thinking about getting an Airport Extreme to see if it eliminates the issue.
Lastly, I have checked iStumbler and no one in my area has close to my channel so interference from another WiFi seems unlikley.

I think the wireless connection might be dropping on the router. Does this happen on any wired computer/device?
Try changing some wireless settings on the router and see if that works.
Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. open the setup page of the router and go to Wireless tab. Change the wireless channel to 11. Save the settings.
Go to Advanced wireless settings. Change the beacon interval to 75, RTS and fragmentation threshold to 2304. Save the settings.
Power cycle the router and try to connect to the wireless network again.
Make sure that firmware on your router is updated.

WRT150N host name lookup problem

When I try to access a computer on my LAN using the host name I get a unknown host message. When I use the computer's dynamically obtained ip address it works fine.
Does anyone know if there is a way to make a WRT150N router resolve the host name. My old router used to doit, but i can figure out how to make the WRT150N do it.

Need more range re. WRT150N wireless home router. Am using this with a WPC54GS ver2 PCMCIA Linksys notebook adapter. I am trying to reach my garage, and I only get 6 more feet of range with this N router, before loss of signal, over my old WRT54G Ver.5 wireless router. I need about another 30 feet with a good signal. Solutions ? PS. Don't need advice ie. "relocate router".

make sure no interference in between , such as Cordless , Oven etc.
If u First , can access the routers set up web user interface , then try scrolling the channels . means changing and trying ur network again.
secondly , Decrease the beacon interval to 75 , Fragmentation and RTS threshold - decrease them by 42 points.
Note: youll find these settings , under advance wireless settings Tab.
Power cycle.
observe the connection.
if stilll no luck ! then
Go for WAP4400N , its A wireless access point for N series Router.

Wrt150n - problem with connection

Hey, Its a second wrt150n router with the same problem. I exchanged the first one thinking its was a faulty unit. Here's the problem after sometime of usage... it can be a day, two or just a few hours, im getting disconnected from the router. Both wireless and wired commuters have not access to the internet or to the router. I can't ping it or access it through browser. I have to reset the router and everything works fine... any ideas.. Disconnect the Modem from the router. .. leave router connected to the computer .... Lower down the NIC card speed for the computer ... & see if you are able to ping the Ip address ...

You can run CS Source through boot camp and it works fine. I don't have it on my own computer, but I know because of the hardware in the MacBook. I've played on a PC that has similiar configs, possibly even lower.
Hit me up ... I'm Stankoniaexp90 on various servers. I liked the P00p server a lot though lol.
