Well try upgrading the firmware of the router & keep on holding tightly the reset button in such a way that power light is blinking on the router & then do a complete network power cycle i.e., unplug the power cables from the modem & from the router & then plug in the power cable to the modem first once all the lights are solid green you could plug in the power cable to the router & check out it will definately work!!
Open the setup page of router using 192.168.1.1 then put in the password as admin...all you need to do is do the wireless settings such as Radio Band Frequency to Standard 20 MHZ frequency, channel to 11.
Also, the advanced wireless settings to Beacon Interval=50,Frag thres=2306 & Rts thres=2307 & then uncheck a Block Anonymous Internet Requests & it will definately work!!!

  • Java Connector being use in Dell Axim x50v "Windows CE"

    Hi all,
I have a Dell Axim x50v "Windows Mobile 2003" Windows CE.  I would like to use the Java Connector in this handheld device but I have been encoutering a problem of registering the librfc32.dll, msvcr71.dll, etc..
Can I use the Java Connector with the handheld device or not.
It seems like the DLL that came with JCO are not compatible with Windows CE..
      Can someone reply and explain.
    thanks in advance.
    Jen

    Hello Jennifer,
you can't use the JCo in Windows CE. You have to use the Mobile Infrastructure. Have a look at http://service.sap.com/mobile and and also <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/developerareas/mi.sdn?node=linkDnode7">Mobile Infrastructure</a> here in SDN.

  • J9 MIDP2 on Dell AXIM x51v

I am trying to run J2ME program on Dell AXIM x51v (on Windows Mobile 5.0)
currently, we tried to use IBM J9 (CLDC1.1/MIDP20) .
I am not able to run a Midlet if it tries to have access to file (read or write).
For example I installed SUN J2ME Wireless ToolKit.
The example PDAPDemo is not running...is there a special configuration for file access?
The same for io access (serial port).
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
did you try to access local files or remote ones?

  • Connecting/syncing Dell Axim x51v to MacBook

Does anyone know how to sync/connect a Dell Axim that's running Windows Mobile v5.0 to a MacBook that's running Leopeard? I tried doing this with Bluetooth and USB via an application called "The Missing Sync" from MarkSpace and neither of them seem to work. Please help with this if anyone knows how to do it.

I don't think the problem is with Markspace, I think its with the Dell Axim x51v. When I connect the Dell Axim x51v to the MacBook via USB, the MacBook does not even recognize it. When try to connect via Bluetooth, I can create a partnership between the 2, but I cannot transfer files from the Axim to the MacBook even though I have all the intricate settings correct.
Has anyone out there been successful in syncing a Dell Axim x51v to their MacBook?

  • Bluetooth connection problems with Dell Axim x51v

I have a Dell Axim x51v and it has Windows Mobile v5.0 on it. I am trying to connect the Axim to my MacBook via Bluetooth, but am experiencing the problem where the devices get paired, but are not connected. Infact, when I add the device, they get connected for about 10 seconds, then they disconnect and remain this way. I do have my MacBook firewall turned off and I enabled Bluetooth sharing. Can anyone help with this?

  • Windows Mobile 5.0 and PEAP

We have successfully configured a group of 1200 series access points to use PEAP. I have installed a puplic Thawte certificate on ACS and configured group policy in Active Directory to issue certificate and set wireless settings. All of this works great with XP. I am now trying a Dell Axim running Windows Mobile. This handheld uses the Odyssey client and has all the required PEAP settings. This device works fine if configured with LEAP. I am getting an error on ACS "EAP-TLS or PEAP authentication failed during SSL handshake" .Since this handhelp and OS is not a domain member how does the machine authentication take place? I have tried creating AD accounts that match the device name, I have tried creating local ACS users that match the device name and nothing seems to matter. I am also not clear how the handheld knows how to deal with the certificate from ACS. I purposely purchased and installed a certificate from a well known CA so that the trusted Roots would be in the handheld so we would not need to deal with importing Root certificates from our internal CA. Also I should say we are running ACS version 3.3 and the latest 1200AP firmware.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Well an update on this issue. I am not able to get the PPC to connect with WPA and TKIP. It either get's and SSL handshake or fails machine authentication. The only way I can get this to work is to add a local account in ACS and supply the ACS username and password to get it to authenticate.
I realize that the PPC or Windows mobile device cannot be a domain member therfor mapping to a machine name in Active Directory would be a challenge. Is there any way to get these devices to access a domain username and password? I have tried creating dummy domain account for the machine name but it does not seem to matter. I have also tried creating a dummy machine account in ACS but that does not work either. Does anybody have PPC or Windows Mobile devices authenticating using ACS and Active directory? Any help appreciated.

  • Java on PDA (Windows Mobile 5.0)

I have searched all over the site to get an answer to a couple of questions - being new to Java and the site appologies in advance if I.m asking questions that have been answered before.
    Q1
Will Java run on win Mobile 5.x - I have bought a Dell Axim x51v or v51x with a vga display specifically to prototype an application which I had written in Delphi (5) only to find out there's no way to get it on a mobile device - so being totally unwilling to go down the BG Studio route I have started to learn Java using Netbeans 5.5 - but I am not sure if Java will run on this OS - I must have Graphics & Hotspots (graphical ones not wireless thingies.. must have access to local data set for look up tables & hopefully a remote synch to an sql database..
    Q2
If Java will run can I use Swing etc or will I have to use one of the mobile versions of Java - if so which one ?
    Q3
Assuming there is a positive answer to Q1 is there an Emulator for the Axiom 640 x 480 ?
Any help, advise would be greatly appreciated - learning another language - especially an oops one at my age may well invalidate my life insurance policy.
    Thanks in advance

Will Java run on win Mobile 5.x - I have bought aYes, and no. You can get JME for PPC, and some editions of J2SE. But they are not all free.

  • Sync Windows Mobile 5.0 PDA (Dell Axim) with iBook

After a decade of dependence on Windows I have made the decision to return to Apple products. I am concerned that the transition may be more difficult than expected.
At the moment I am wondering if anyone has been able to sync their Windows Mobile 5.0 based PDA with their Apple computer? If so, what program works?
    Thanks

In order to use and sync a PocketPC PDA with a Mac you will need third party software such as The Missing Sync or PocketMac.

  • TS1717 Having trouble running iTunes version 11.0.2 on a Dell Laptop running Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1.  Keep getting an error message "the software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly..." reinst

Having trouble when I launch iTunes (version 11.0.2) on my Dell Laptop running Windows 7 Professional (service pack 1).  I get an error message indicating software required to communicate with iPod and mobile phones was not installed correctly.  Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?  I normally respond with OK and it immediately tells me "could not be repaired.  Please reinstall iTunes..."  I have done this a number of times to no avail.

I also notice Quicktime is not getting installed at all.
That one is normal nowadays (ever since the iTunes versions 10.5.x).
The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Java on Windows Mobile 5.0

    Good morning,
I am working ona project for a client, which involves an application to be coded for a PDA running Windows Mobile 5.0. The PDA in question is the Dell AximTM X51v. Will J2SE run on this platform, and if not, where can I find a runtime environment for that platform?
    Thanks!

  • SAP MI 2.5 (+CrEme) doesn't work under Windows Mobile 2003 Second Editon

While testing our new Hardware (Dell Axim X30 with Intel PXA270-CPU and Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (4.21.1088)) i noticed, that the SAP MI Client Software will not work at all!
<i>Setup says "The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile software."
But this doesn't seam to be the Problem, because whenever you install an application that hasn't been updated to be compatible with the Second Edition, this dialogue box pops ups.</i> (Reason: The new Landscape-Mode - Our device runs in Portrait-Mode)
...Ok, after tabbing "OK" at this Dialogue, Setup continues! Same procedure at the CrEme-Installer!
After Soft-Resetting, the PocketPC shows up the Message that CrEme is starting up, but it doesn't listen it's Port on the PDA!
You get a Timeout when trying to load the MobileInfrastructure via the Link at Startmenu.
Also the InternetExplorer crashes when opening a webpage with an Java-Applet. Don't know if IE crashes on Windows Mobile 2003 First Edtion, but i don't think so...
<i>Of course the SAP MI 2.5 works on the First Edition!</i>
Anyone knows this problem <b>and when can we expect a Solution?</b>

    Hi all!
I found out that CrEme crashes after executing on Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition!
Just start the CrEme-Console ("\Windows\CrEme\bin") and type "java" into the Console, it crashes immediately after printing some Messages.
The window disappears too fast to guess what it says...
BTW: On PocketPC 2003 (1st Edition) it doesn't crash!
So it seams we need a new CrEme (or other VM??) for Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition!
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Markus

  • LVBtw not found on PDA Dell Axim X51

    Aloha!
I am developing software to communicate with a portable instrument. The software runs on a PDA, and I am using LabView for PDA (8.01). I currently have 3 diffferent PDAs for testing purposes:
    - Dell Axim X30 with windows mobile 2003 2nd edition
    - Dell Axim X51 with windows mobile 5.0
    - HP iPAQ hx2490b with windows mobile 5.0
My program communicates with the instrument over a bluetooth connection. I now have the following behavior on the 3 different PDAs:
    - HP iPAQ: everything works
    - Dell Axim X30: program starts, communicates with the instrument, crashes (earlier versions of the program still run though, I must have done something that this specific PDA doesn't like)
    - Dell Axim X51: when I want to start the program, a dialog pops up telling my that this program is not digitally signed and do I really want to continue? If I tell windows to continue, I get the error message "LVBtw.dll not found", and the program crashes.
Can anybody give me a hint as to what is going wrong on the Axim X51? I have both my .exe and the LVBtw.dll stored on the SD card of the PDAs, in the same directory. On the X51 I also tried installing it in the program files directory, to no avail.
    cheers

    Hi Martin:
I am recently working on a LABVIEW project on PDA via Bluetooth communication. I used Dell last week and it doesn't work. I thx for your message post to change the PDA to iPAQ. However, I still cannot detect signals from a bluetooth device, that is a Bluetooth pulse oximetry. I want to know some details of your project, which bluetooth device u used in your project? Can it really detect signal in iPAQ?
       Thx.

  • Create Flash Content for Pocket PC "Windows Mobile 2003 SE" from Flash Professional 8

    Hi all,
I would like to create a standalone flash application on my
two pocket PCs (Dell Axim x50 and Qtek S110). These pocket PC
uses the "Windows Mobile 2003 SE" operating system.
At this time, I have installed the "Flash Player 7 for Pocket
PC" on my 2 pocketPCs. Apparently, I have not flash player
    application
that is able to load .swf files but only a plugin for Pocket
    IE. Do you confirm?
I have the license to use "Flash Professional 8". Could you
explain me the procedure to publish flash content for my Pocket PC?
Which Flash version I have to use?
Which Action Script I have to use?
Is it possible to test my application with Flash Pro 8?
Finally, I would like to develop a Flash application in
fullscreen mode and not embedded into Pocket IE. Is it possible to
    realize
    that with Flash Pro 8?
    Sincerely,
    Romain

    Hi Romain.
As at the time of this writing,
I suggest you have a look at Flash Assist by AntMobile
    (www.antmobile.com)
It will allow you to view Flash content at full screen.
It officially supports Flash 5 and 6, but I've used it with
    Flash 7 for the PPC.
Flash 7 for the PPC supports AS 2.0
Macromedia hasn't released a stand alone player /
distribution Kit, or CDK for Flash Player 7 for the PPC, and I am
    anxiously awaiting that as well.
However, the stand alone player for the Flash Player 6 for
    the PPC is available
You will want to change your publish settings to Flash 7,
    AS2.0
    Do some hunting around.

My new Dell computer with windows 8, when I open my iTunes and plug my iPhone 5 in the computer does not see my phony, why?

    Hi, Robert.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below.  Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

  • Directory Structure / Shortcut string... Dell Axim (Pocket PC 2002)

    Hi all,
I've been experimenting with Jeode on the Dell Axim- I'm particularly interested in running an application from the "Built-In Storage" folder, which persists even with main battery, and the backup battery removed.
If I run the application from a folder located in the "My Device" root as follows:
    /myApp/mpApp.jar
    /myApp/mpAppLauncher.lnk
with the content of the shortcut set to:
    18#"\windows\evm.exe" -Djeode.evm.console.local.keep=TRUE -cp /myApp/myApp.jar myPackage.MyClass
    - it executes perfectly.
However, if I wish to locate the application and data in the "Built-In Storage" folder, I run into problems, apparently because of the character space in the folder name, which, even when replaced with a "%20"
    18#"\windows\evm.exe" -Djeode.evm.console.local.keep=TRUE -cp /Built-In%20Storage/myApp/myApp.jar myPackage.MyClass
I get a ClassNotFoundError.. has anyone got any advice?
    thanks,
    Fergus.

Do you know how to copy files from your pocket pc to the desktop
    using Windows Filesystem.
I've tried to read a file like this
    FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream("\\PCNAME\SHARED_FOLDER\FILE.EXT");
But If the PCNAME is the PC that has the CRADLE, I always get a System MEssage
telling me as if i was trying to access that shared folder on the pocket pc...
so i guess i can only do that over the network but on other pcs.
Is there a way to copy files to the PC with ActiveSync without having to write
Client/Server Apps on both PCs and Pocket PCs? or is there a place where activesync
protocol is explained, since i believe activesync is a client/server app on both ends
that we could reuse to copy files from and to the Pocket PC and PC
